“So you are a developer,” Jaime said impressively.

  “Yes,” he answered.

“And an extremely successful one, I hear,” she smiled.

“I enjoy my work and I’ve been lucky enough to make some money at it,” he responded.

“If this car is any indication, you’re skills and talent has brought you a great deal of prosperity. I commend you,” she said earnestly.

“And I would be spot on by saying you are one of the rich and famous. Your young admirer is testimony to that,” he observed.

“I don’t feel any differently. I’m just me. Ordinary Jaime,” she said.

“There is nothing ordinary about you,” he said.

“Really? What do you see in me?” she asked.

“Fishing for compliments again?” he grinned.

“No. It would just be nice to hear what you thought of me,” she pouted.

“I think I’ve demonstrated what I think of you very well,” he quipped.

  She slapped his arm.

“When I’m out of bed,” she retorted.

  He laughed.

“I’ll have to think about the words I’ll use to describe you. I wouldn’t want to inflate your head any more than it is,” he teased.

She threw him a furious frown and refused to respond. He laughed and reached for her hand. She pulled it away from him.

“Aren’t you a brat?” he chuckled. He reached for her hand again and captured it this time. He brought her wrist to his mouth and kissed the inside of it. “”Now I know how to get under your pretty skin.”

He licked and nibbled her wrist as he drove. She tried to retrieve her wrist.

“You shouldn’t be doing that while driving. It’s a distraction,” she warned.

“You’re a distraction whether I’m driving or not,” he murmured.

He laid her hand on his lap and Jaime could feel his penis expanding in his pants.

  “Jules!” she exclaimed.

“I can’t help it. This is what you do to me,” he said in a low tone. “Do you realize I had a hard-on the whole time I was in my meetings? Not once did I stand up for fear of revealing my situation.”

  She giggled.

“Good,” she said gleefully. “Serves you right for your present behavior.”

  He glanced at her.

“I can’t wait to get you in bed tonight. I’ll make you pay for that remark,” he vowed.

They arrived at the restaurant and the attendant ran to open Jaime’s door. He helped her out of the car as Jules approached him. Jules tossed him the car keys and escorted Jaime into the restaurant. The hostess recognized Jaime immediately.

“Good evening, Miss Harrison. It’s a pleasure to have you visit us,” the hostess smiled broadly.

  ‘Thank you,” Jaime replied.

“We’ll need a table for two,” Jules said.

The hostess boldly perused Jules. Her eyes glittered with admiration as she mentally undressed him. Her sly smile was a blatant invitation. Jaime wanted to scratch her eyes out.

“Absolutely. Right this way,” she murmured.

Jaime gave Jules a scorching look of disapproval. He responded with a look of innocence; then he grinned. Jaime knew that Jules was aware of what had transpired. He shrugged it off as trivial and commonplace while she was simmering with jealousy. They followed behind the wanton hussy and Jaime wished she had a hatchet to plow into her back. Or at the very least a strip of toilet tissue to attach to her heel. The hostess led them to a table in the front, with an unobstructed view of the band. A dance floor was off to the side of the stage for those couples who wanted to dance. Jules seated Jaime then himself. She handed them their menus then left. He raised an eyebrow at Jaime.

“Have you cooled off or do you still want to do that poor girl bodily harm?” he joked.

“She is not a ‘poor girl’. She openly invited you to her bed without saying a word,” Jaime hissed.

  He leaned forward.

“But I did not take her up on it. I have a bed partner whom I’m very content with,” he murmured.

He smiled as he raised her hand to his lips. Jaime took a deep breath and returned his smile. She never realized how jealous she could be. She was acting as if Jules was solely committed to her; and she didn’t know that by any means. But he was with her tonight and that meant he was off limits. Heaven help that hostess if she made a play for him again.

“I’m fine. I’ll just put her in her place if she makes another move on you,” Jaime said casually.

  Jules laughed.

“If there’s a God He will steer her clear of you,” he smiled.

They decided on steak and lobster meal. Jules placed an order of oysters for himself, saying that he was in the mood for them. He winked at her and she understood his message. He also ordered a bottle of Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Folatieres. Jaime was impressed.

  “Very nice,” Jaime said.

“Only the best for my girl,” he replied.

Jaime wondered if she could take his words seriously. He said casually, unthinkingly. He probably said those same words to every girl that he dated. She could not read more into them than that. Their dinner arrived and they ate heartily. Jaime maintained a great figure but she enjoyed her food. She did not pick over her meal but rather ate it with relish. Jules noted her devotion to her meal and smiled inwardly. He was glad that she was not a fussy or meager eater. He liked a woman with a hearty appetite and who appreciated her food. He also delighted in the fact that she turned green with jealousy over the hostess incident. It let him know that she was not indifferent to him. He had wondered if their relationship would be a sex only affair. Her irrational behavior led him to believe that she cared about more than she let on. He was not just a sex stud for her. Of course, he didn’t mind being used in that way with her, but he realized that he wanted more. He wasn’t sure what ‘more’ entailed; he just knew that he needed more from her. He hoped that she would be able to decipher exactly what he wanted for he could not. His attention was drawn to the lead guitarist, who began to speak. Jules assumed that he was the band leader.

“Ladies and gentlemen. We have a special person in our audience tonight whom I’m sure many of you have noticed,” he began. “I am hoping to prevail upon her generosity and kindness to persuade her to join us in a song.”

There were rumblings in the audience. The minute the guitarist said the word ‘she’ Jules knew who he was talking about. He was about to be exposed to more of Jaime’s stardom. He looked at Jaime closely to see how she was reacting. If he saw that she was opposed to playing he would cut that dude off at the knees. Surprise, dismay, pleasure and resignation flitted across her face. She wasn’t excited about playing but she wouldn’t make a scene by trying to decline. She was way too nice and needed someone to look out for her.

“Miss Jaime Harrison, would you do us the honor of playing a few songs with our band?” the guitarist asked.

The crowd cheered and applauded vigorously in their attempt to persuade her. Jaime looked at Jules with hesitation. He reached across the table and grasped her hand.

“You don’t have to do it. This is your private time and it should not be invaded,” Jules said urgently.

“My privacy is always invaded. It comes with my success,” she whispered.

“You’re entitled to a private life. I can tell them you would rather not be disturbed,” he insisted.

She smiled and shook her head.

  “It’s alright. I don’t mind,” she responded.

  “I do,” he retorted.

“Now who’s the brat,” she teased. “It will be fun. And I just may call you up to sing.”

  His eyes widen.

  “Don’t you dare,” he warned.

“I heard you in the shower. You have a lovely voice,” she said.

  “No, Jaime,” he retorted.

She rose from her seat and smiled sassily at him.

  “Don’t, Jaime,” he pleaded.r />
She went onto the stage. The pianist had left his bench and gestured for her to be seated. The crowd was standing as they cheered for her.

“She’s going to do it, folks,” the band leader said happily. “Please welcome Miss Jaime Harrison.”

Jaime sat at the grand piano and ran her fingers along the keys expertly. She quietly asked the band if they knew several jazz tunes. They said that they did. She gave a few instructions and then started playing. The restaurant fell silent as the people became mesmerized by the magic of Jaime’s playing. Jaime’s music was a work of art. Jules was astonished with the ease in which she played. Sitting so close to the stage he could clearly see how effortlessly her nimble fingers stroked the keys; and he admired the gentle sway of her body as it moved in rhythm to the music. Her right foot also tapped the floor in time to the beat. When he attended her concert he had sat at a distance from the stage and had not noticed these small nuances of her performance. But these idiosyncrasies only served to heighten the pleasure of the person listening to her music. She was truly a maestro at the piano and he realized just how lucky he was to be in her company. Jaime played three songs with the band then took her bow. Jules rose from his seat to stand in front of the stage. He held his hands up to her and Jaime looked down at him in severe warning. Jules grinned as he understood her message loud and clear. She said: don’t you dare drop me.

  “Trust me,” he smiled.

Jaime jumped off of the stage and he caught her waist easily. He lifted her down and kissed her briefly. The crowd loved their display and clapped harder and cheered louder. Jaime looked up at Jules and laughed. He grinned broadly as they turned to wave at the crowd. Jules escorted her back to her seat.

“You were wonderful. You’re simply splendid,” he said sincerely.

“Thank you. It was fun. I really didn’t mind the request. I just had not expected it, which is really ridiculous because it happens often enough,” she smiled ruefully.

“Just say the word and I will put a stop to the intrusion,” he said. “You have a right to enjoy an evening out without being bombarded with autograph requests and impromptu performances.”

“It’s really not that bad. But I promise to tell you if I feel overwhelmed,” she said.

The band began playing a slow tune.

“Would you like to dance?” he asked.

“I would love to,” she smiled.

He stood and held her chair as she rose. They walked to the dance floor and he pulled her into his arms. As they began dancing there were several camera flashes. Jules looked around at the photographers in surprise and annoyance. Jaime put her finger to his cheek to turn his face back to her.

“Don’t sweat it. The paparazzi follow me all the time. It’s something you will have to get used to if you hang out with me,” she murmured.

“My God! You really are a superstar,” he said in awe.

“That’s a blessings and a curse. But I’ve learned to take the good with the bad,” she said philosophically.

“I guess I’d better adopt your attitude,” he said.

Jaime felt a rush of heat surge through her body at his words. He had just implied that he would be hanging out with her. Her heart did somersaults. Jaime looped her arms about his neck and relaxed in his embrace. She sighed contentedly as she thought that all was very, very good.

Jamie and Jules stepped into her private elevator from the parking garage. As soon as the doors closed Jules grasped her arms and shoved her against the wall. His mouth descended upon hers in need. He kissed her thoroughly as his hand slid under her skirt and traveled up her thigh. He fingered her through her panties and felt her immediate moisture. She gasped and he removed his hand long enough to hit the elevator stop button on the wall. His hand then went back to her damp curls. He lifted her leg rest across his back and grinded his pulsating cock into her aching haven. His other hand went under her top to squeeze her large breast.

“Jules! There’s a camera in here,” Jaime gasped.

“I don’t care. I’m an exhibitionist, remember?” he groaned.

Jaime was close to not caring as well. Jules had practically turned her into a wanton hussy with his sensuous fingers playing with her clitoris. But she knew that it would only be a matter of time before Marvin would notice that her elevator had stopped mid-flight and look at the monitor to see what had happened. Marvin was discreet but she would be embarrassed beyond belief when she had to face him again.

“Jules,” she breathed heavily. “Let’s do this in the penthouse. I won’t be able to look at Marvin if we don’t.”

Jules groaned when he removed his hand from her hot sanctuary. He hit the stop button again and the elevator began moving. But he kept her pinned against the wall and kissed her until they arrived to her apartment. They stumbled out of the elevator and Jules pulled to into the living room and held her against the wall of windows.

“I’ve wanted to do this from the first day that I came into your apartment,” he said hoarsely.

He stripped off her top and skirt and then her lacy black bra. His hands skimmed her waist and rested at the top of her panties.

“Don’t wear these when you’re with me,” he demanded.

  “I…I always—

  “Not with me,” he insisted.

  “Jules, I….”

She couldn’t finish her thought as his fingers lightly brushed over her dark curls.

“Promise me, Jaime,” he persisted. He began to slowly push the panties over her slim hips.

By then Jaime was so sexually charged by him that she would have agreed to anything that he might ask. She nodded agreement.

  “Alright,” she whispered.

Jules slid her underwear to the floor and she stepped out of them and kicked them aside. Jaime made quick work of removing his clothing and they stood there naked; kissing, groping and writhing pressed against the cool glass. It felt so good against their hot bodies. They hadn’t turned on the lights so she doubted that anyone could see them. But at this point Jaime didn’t care who might be watching them. All she could think about was having his cock throbbing inside of her. She spread her legs and Jules dropped to his knees and began to tongue her. Jaime yelled in pleasure.

  “Yes!” she cried out.

He tongued her until she was at the brink of no return. Then he pulled her to the floor face down and entered her. He pounded into her relentlessly. Jaime arched her bottom to better receive his thrusts. She was delirious with craving. He reached around her to finger her clitoris. That was her undoing. She felt the rush of desire reach its apex and screamed in passion as Jules released his seed in a mighty shout. Both of them collapsed to the floor in a heap. Both of them panted rapidly to catch their breath. And finally both of them slept in front of the glass window.

  Chapter 4

Jules stood on the fifteenth floor inside his unfinished building and looked out at the view. It was a magnificent visage and would attract prospective companies like bees to honey. Jules had worked hard to secure the property. There had been two other aggressive offers that he had to contend with; and they had used every trick in their coffers to manipulate the outcome. But Jules would not underbid on the property just to secure it. He knew what it would cost to realize his vision of a beautiful office complex. And he would not under bid to get the property then cut corners to build a substandard multiplex. He would not compromise his standards. But his ethics had paid off and he got the property despite coming in higher than the other developers. Construction was midway through and he was very proud of his accomplishment thus far. The upper floors of the two buildings would feature a fantastic view of the Hudson River and the cityscape beyond when it was finished. Potential leasers were already lining up to claim their office space. And they were willing to pay more in rent than he had projected just to secure the coveted address in Manhattan, New York. This venture was turning into a true gold mine.

“Office space is almost sold out
, Jules. And the complex is still two months from completion,” Logan said.

Jules smiled as he turned to face his best friend, Logan McClain.

“Great news,” Jules grinned. “We’ll be rolling in the dough before the month is out.”

Logan was his account executive and lead foreman on his projects. They had been best friends since junior high and had gone into the Navy together. They’d been inseparable back in the day and they still were. Logan chuckled.

“You’re already rolling in dough. You’re just about to get richer,” Logan joked.

“And so are you, my friend,” Jules laughed.

Logan moved to stand next to Jules and looked out at the view.

“I saw Lyndsay this morning. She came by the office looking for you. Says you stood her up Saturday night,” Logan said.

Jules turned to look at him in shock.

“I did no such thing. What is she talking about?” Jules retorted.

  Logan shrugged.

“It didn’t sound like you so I told her you guys must have gotten your wires crossed,” Logan said. “She didn’t accept that explanation. She asked where you were and I said I didn’t know.”

“I’m sure she didn’t believe you,” Jules returned.

“She did not. She said I always knew where you were and that I was covering for you,” Logan replied. He turned to face Jules. “What’s up with the two of you?”

“Nothing. I still see her at times but it’s all very casual; nothing serious. She knows the score,” Jules said.

“Why does she think you blew her off?” Logan asked.

“I don’t know why she said that. She knows I did not have a date with her on Saturday. I had made other plans,” Jules said testily.

“I think she is feeling neglected. You should show her some attention,” Logan grinned.

“I don’t think so. In fact, I should end things completely with her,” Jules said thoughtfully.
