Sire Bound: Part 2

“I knew we would come to an understanding. Thank you, Warren.” Clyde called Samantha, put her on speakerphone, and gave the command.
Wren was glad that it included not even speaking about the Montgomery’s to anyone via any communication. He felt it was sufficient enough to repeat to his own coven. When the formalities were over, a huge weight lifted off his shoulders. Instead of needing to kill his sire, he looked up to him more than ever. The strength Clyde had shown during the situation was more than admirable, and Warren knew it was time to display some of it himself.
“Christina, I think I owe you an apology. I’ve held onto hurt towards you for too long, and it’s time for me to let it go. Do you forgive me?”
“Are you serious? Of course, I do!”
Her words set Warren completely free. He gave her a quick hug before taking Selene by the hand. For the first time since the change, he felt nothing but warmth in his heart, and that would be enough to last him a lifetime.

On October 16th, Selene and Warren announced their vows at The Georgian Terrace. As they danced in front of their coven and friends, Selene looked up into Warren’s eyes and knew she’d made the right decision.
The sire bond hadn’t caused her devoted feelings for him. Observing the others was proof enough of that. The effects of their love ran much deeper. Selene could see it every single day; they made each other stronger. Fate bound them together until they were inseparable.
There was no one who would be a better fit for her. No relationship would ever be perfect, but she’d found one that matched her needs so closely, she couldn’t tell the difference.
And though she had to admit that she desired things she would’ve once thought was irredeemable, that was okay. Because just like flawless relationships, innocuous vampires don’t exist.
