“No, Caulder. He calls me his soulmate. He told Dax that he might be my wolf-mate, but he had my soul.” Tears spring to my eyes and quickly fall over. “He’s my Little Tyrant. He does, ya know? Dax owns my heart, but Caulder has my soul. Or at least half of it. I won’t hear that sweet little voice again, or feel those tiny hands wrap around mine. The thought of leaving him kills me,” I cry out, my sobs wreaking havoc on my exhausted body.

“So then live,” Minnie demands. “Live for our boy. Love him, and be everything I won’t get to be. Promise me, Linden?” Tears stain her dirty face, her dainty beauty twisted into a mix of hope and agony. Her words gut me but also ignite something deep inside of me. I’m not leaving him so easily. Not Dax or Beatrix or Carder, either. Not Mom or Chevy.

“I promise,” I say with conviction. “I promise we’re both gonna get the fuck out of this nightmare.” She smiles sadly, but doesn’t say anything. That’s okay, I’ll have enough faith for the both of us. In the meantime, give me your worst, assholes.

  Acknowledgement

I can't believe I finally did it! I have so many half finished books saved to the notes section of phone, praying to see the light of day, but I've just been too scared to move forward with publishing them. If you've made it this far, I can't thank you enough for giving my book a shot. I know I have tons of room for improvement, and I promise I'll get there! Until then, please bare with me as I explore this new world and grow as a writer.

  SOOO much love,
