I moaned and arched up until my breasts were against him. “So good.”

He nipped at my throat. “Your pussy is wet. I feel every inch of you.”

Hooking my legs around his waist, I met his lazy thrusts. We had the luxury of time tonight, and I intended to enjoy myself. I let my eyes fall shut as I melted into him. With Reid I didn’t have to keep up any walls. He loved all the parts of me, even the bits that I thought were ugly. Sure we still had our moments, but we’d learned to work through them together. We were a team.

It was the best feeling in the world.

“You’re drifting.” He nipped on my neck again. “I want to hear moans.”

“I was thinking how much I loved you.” I clenched my pussy. “I promise I won’t let myself get distracted again.”

“You’re going to kill me.” He hooked his arms around my shoulders and swiveled his hips. “Fun death, though.”

Being already turned on meant that the climb toward orgasm was going to take a far shorter time than I would have preferred. Reid always made sure that I came once if not more whenever we were together. Sometimes he’d drag things out as long as possible, and other times he’d see how quickly he could push me over the edge. Tonight he didn’t seem rushed, having slipped into the lazy lovemaking, much as I had.

Lowering his head, he sucked at my nipple through the fabric of his shirt, leaving the material damp. It clung to my breast and the air chilled the skin, making the already-sensitive tip harder. Kissing his way back up, he took the opportunity to pinch and roll my nipple, matching the beat he set with his thrusts.

You’d think I’d be used to this by now, the way he could play my body. Every time we had sex, it was as though I was experiencing him for the first time. He’d touch me in some new and unexpected way. I’d notice a new laugh line on his face, or hear an unexpected sigh or moan. Eight months of discoveries, of laughter and really awesome sex.

Reid pushed his hand between us so his fingertips brushed my clit. The position would have been awkward, but he rolled us onto our sides, making it easier. I stopped trying to fight my orgasms ages ago. The need to stretch things out wasn’t there, and I was safe in my knowledge that he would happily help me come a thousand times over if that was what I wanted.

I closed my eyes and let the sensations fill my brain. The taste of his sweat on my tongue, the delicious pressure of his fingers circling my clit, and the warmth of his body pushed me to the precipice. Arching against him, I came hard, moaning and shivering against his body as pleasure rippled through me. My pussy tightened around his cock and within moments he was coming, too.

Sweaty and sated, we cuddled together, still wrapped in each other’s arms. Reid began to play with my hair. It was a normal post-sex thing that I’d started to love about him.

“I have a question for you,” he said softly, twirling my hair around his finger.

  “Shoot.”

“I was thinking we should move in together.”

“What?” Lifting my head, I needed to look him in the eyes. “Seriously?”

“If you think it’s a bad idea—”

“God, no.” It proved that we were on the same wavelength. I’d been talking to Sophia about it the other day. “It would make more sense for you to move in with me. Give up your apartment.”

He grinned before nipping at my nose. “I didn’t want to be presumptuous.”

“Don’t be an ass. Besides, you practically live here anyway. It would be nice to make it official.” I rested my chin on his chest and looked around my bedroom. “Shit, that means I’ll have to make space in my closet for your shirts. I have no idea where we’re going to put your pictures.”

“That might not be a problem.” He tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. “I got a call from Allison yesterday.”

“What? Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” Allison was an art gallery owner who’d been impressed with Reid’s photographs.

“Because I didn’t want to jinx things if it didn’t work out. I’m getting my own showing.”

I squealed in a way that would have made Sophia proud. “Oh my God, that’s fantastic!”

Reid rolled me onto my back and braced his body above mine. “It is. And I wouldn’t have done it without you pushing me to get out there. Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” Reaching up I kissed him hard, hoping he knew how proud and excited I was for him. “I love you so much.”

  “I love you, too.”

While I knew things wouldn’t always be perfect in my life, that there would be times when I’d slip back into my frosty ways, I knew Reid and I would be able to make things work. He gave me a sense of balance that had been missing from my life and I would always love him for that. That he loved me back was the best gift I could have been given in my life.
