The Witch Prophecy

No but I don’t think Abella would appreciate that same carelessness with her own clothes, Caden told him ignoring his laughter.
He finished packing up the clothes placing the picture and the perfume on top making sure that the cap was on tight.
“Are you ready, Caden?” Jed called from downstairs.
“Yes,” Caden said looking around the room catching a book that was open on her bed which he grabbed folding down the page before closing it.
He came back down the stairs where Jed was waiting for him with another backpack and at his quizzical look, Jed said, “Things that I think Abella will need.”
Caden looked behind him into the hallway before he nodded his head as Jed waved his hand taking them back to the pack house right into Caden’s room.
Asilynn screamed as the two men appeared in the room and Abella told her quietly, “Asilynn, it is only Caden and Jed.”
Asilynn stopped screaming when she realized that Abella was right as Caden looked at her with hard eyes.
“Caden, she was visiting with me,” Abella told him with a glare.
Caden stepped forward and gave her a quick kiss before he said, “I don’t mind her visiting you but I want you to rest too.”
“Actually, she helped take my mind off the pain,” Abella told him honestly.
Caden gave her a sharp look before he glanced over at Asilynn and nodded his head. “Thank you, Asilynn.”
“I enjoyed myself, Alpha,” Asilynn admitted with a small smile. She tilted her head as her mate returned looking for her. She stood up giving them all a smile as she told them, “Gregory is back so I am going to go down and see my mate. Is it all right if I come to see you again?”
“I wouldn’t mind leaving this room if you wouldn’t mind being seen with a witch,” Abella told her without hesitation.
“See you tomorrow,” was Asilynn’s response to her.
“Thank you,” Abella called out as Asilynn started down the stairs meeting Jessa who was on the way up.
“Hi Asilynn,” Jessa said as they passed each other.
“Hi Jessa,” Asilynn said stopping briefly. “You don’t mind if I hang out with Abella, do you?”
“Why would I? Besides, I think having Abella as a friend is a good thing,” Jessa told her.
Asilynn laughed as Gregory called her name and she waved running down the last few stairs to meet him.
Jessa went up the stairs where Jed and Caden were talking with Abella as she sat on the bed and Jessa said teasingly, “You made a new friend, huh?”
Abella shrugged as she told them, “She knocked on the door after looking for Caden and it looked like she wanted to talk so I invited her up.”
Caden looked at her curiously as he asked, “Why was she looking for me?”
Abella hesitated briefly before she told them, “She thought you would like to know that she heard Jenna mumbling to herself about how she thought she had gotten rid of me.”
Caden’s eyes flashed angrily as he stood up rapidly heading for the door.
Abella stood up quickly her body protesting the sudden movement as she called out, “Caden!”
He didn’t stop at her call and Abella’s eyes flashed stormy grey as she moved her hand in a fast movement. Jed and Jessa watched as the door slammed in Caden’s face just as he reached it and he growled lowly as he turned back around black eyes narrowed at Abella.
Abella stood her ground meeting his raging black eyes with her stormy grey ones neither one willing to back down.
“Open the door, Abella,” Caden snarled at her.
Abella didn’t say a word as she crossed her arms over her chest her eyes not leaving his as they continued to stare at each other.
Jed and Jessa stood there silently watching them face off before Caden growled at them, “Leave now!”
Jed nodded his head a smile in his eyes as he waved Jessa over before he teleported them out of the room. “Leave them to work it out,” he told Jessa as they appeared in the main hallway.
“There was some emotion flying around in that room,” Jessa said.
“Yeah, but it wasn’t all anger though,” Jed told her with a wink as he walked out of the house and to a car.
“I thought…” Jessa called out as Jed laughed.
“Only when I need to get somewhere fast do I use my powers,” he told her as he climbed into the car.
Jessa shook her head in confusion before closing the door behind her as Asilynn and Gregory came out of the living room.
“Is everything okay?” Asilynn asked as they walked over to her.
“If we don’t hear any loud noise from upstairs, I say everything is fine,” Jessa told her. “When Abella told Caden why you were looking for him, I think he would’ve hurt her if Abella hadn’t stopped him. Of course, he ordered us to leave so…”
As her sentence drifted off, the three of them turned around and looked up the stairs wondering what was going on in the attic.
As soon as Jed and Jessa disappeared from the room, Caden was across the room standing up flush against Abella who only tilted her head back to look at him.
“Why did you stop me?” Caden growled at her. “She is the reason that they found you, Abella.”
“So she helped them,” Abella stated with a shrug of her shoulders grimacing as her back pulled. “They probably would’ve found me eventually anyway so she only moved them finding me much earlier.”
“Abella, you could’ve been killed,” Caden snarled at her grabbing her arms in a tight grip.
“But I didn’t,” Abella told him sharply. “As for Jenna, she is a part of your pack while I am an outsider. Which of us do you think your pack will back, Caden, if you corner her with the truth?”
Caden growled loudly because he couldn’t say who the pack would back in that moment. His hands tightened harder on Abella’s arms and although it was hurting her, Abella didn’t flinch nor did she look away from his burning gaze.
They stood like that for a few minutes until Caden snatched her up against him Abella’s arms pinned between them.
“Caden,” Abella whispered a husky note entering her voice, and Caden’s eyes dropped down to her lips.
“I am sorry,” he growled out softly before he dropped his head his lips taking hers in a rough and passionate kiss.
Abella struggled for a second and Caden broke the kiss disappointment shooting through him which turned into astonishment when Abella uncurled her arms across her chest and threw them around his neck. She drew him back down to her waiting lips as Caden let his hands slide down to her hips anchoring her to him.
There kiss was hot and heavy leaving no room for breathing, and yet neither one was willing to break it. Finally, Abella tore her lips away breathing heavily as Caden took the opportunity to trail his lips down her throat before the neckline of the t-shirt stopped him. With his hands still on her hips, he gripped the shirt pulling it taut across her body so that when he lifted his head he could see the outline of her breasts and he watched as a color went up her throat and across her face as they both saw how her body responded to his passionate kiss.
“How is your back feeling?” He asked huskily pulling his eyes from her breasts.
“Hurting, but I can deal with it,” Abella told him her eyes dilated with emotion.
Caden closed his eyes on her words fighting his own hunger because he wanted her but he didn’t want hurt to be any more pain than she already was.
“Caden,” Abella said softly standing up on tiptoe to feather her own kisses across his chiseled features. “I want you, I want this. I can deal with the pain later, but I won’t regret what we do tonight.”
Caden eyes opened slowly as Abella pulled back her grey eyes meeting his black eyes, and he nodded his head a slight hesitation in his eyes.
“You don’t have to mark me,” Abella told him hiding her disappointment at what that meant. “Tonight is just about us nothing else.”
Relief flickered through Caden because altho
ugh he, and his wolf, wanted to claim her as theirs something held him back. As he leaned down to kiss Abella again, he didn’t analyze the relief he felt at her words but later he would.
He kissed her softly and lifted her up into his arms walking them towards the bed. As he laid her gently down, she flinched slightly but then relaxed as his hands lightly caressed her arms.
“Abella,” Caden breathed as he pulled back looking at her and she smiled uncurling one hand to light caress his face as if she was learning it.
He watched her as her eyes followed her fingertips until they rested on his hard lips which parted and nipped her fingers lightly causing her giggle.
“Tell me if you have any pain,” he told her before leaning down and catching her lips in another hungry kiss.
Abella lost herself in that kiss and as he trailed his lips down her neck his hands inched the t-shirt up until it was at her neck ready to be pulled off. As he lifted his head to finish taking it off, he noticed how her grey eyes widened and he stilled.
“Your back,” he started.
She shook her head as she lifted her arms giving him permission to finish taking it off as she told him, “I didn’t feel it moving up my back.”
Caden smiled with male smugness at those words as he pulled the shirt from her arms and tossing it to the floor leaving from her neck to the waist bare to his hungry gaze.
His passion-filled eyes met her own smoldering grey as he trailed his fingertips down her neck until they reached the top of her breasts where he feathered his fingertips across them with sweeping fingers before letting them travel down the valley between her breasts.
Abella drew a deep breath at the light touch and her breasts responded to the light stimulation causing Caden to laugh as his eyes flickered down.
He leaned down and nibbled on the nape of her neck before he trailed his lips down to her breasts. He nibbled lightly at the top of her breasts before he kissed down in between her breasts across her navel hitting the edge of her sweatpants.
He lifted his head looking up between her breasts meeting her grey eyes that were stormy with passion and as he tugged lightly at the sweatpants, Abella swallowed and nodded her head.
His hand went to the waistband about to pull them off when suddenly she stopped him and he looked at her curiously. Abella smiled leaning slightly toward him as she pulled at his shirt and he laughed grateful that he had a pullover instead of the normal button up shirts he wore. He pulled it over his head with a single move throwing it to the floor before he gave her a roguish grin and pulled down the sweats including her underwear as she gasped. As like both of his shirts, they hit the floor and he didn’t waste any time stripping off his jeans and boxers before he lunged up making himself comfortable on Abella whose eyes were wide at the feel of his naked body against hers.
“First time,” he asked in a husky voice loving the feel of her breasts against his chest and how her legs moved slightly against his own hair roughened ones.
Abella nodded her head looking down at where they met before she glanced up into his eyes and then a slow smile began to cross her face as she linked her arms behind his head nestling her hands at his hair line bringing his head down to her.
“I think I like it though,” she told him with impish look that caused him to laugh before he covered her lips with his own, and then there was no more talking as they began to explore each other for the next few hours.
“Are you okay?” Caden asked a little later as she rested on his chest. His fingers lightly traced her back and he watched her face as she relaxed under his touch although she flinched occasionally when he hit areas that were still raw to the touch.
Abella nodded her head still reeling from their lovemaking as she recalled the tenderness he showed her. She could feel how relax he was underneath her, but she tilted her head back looking up into his black eyes that were gleaming with male satisfaction.
“You held back, didn’t you?” She asked without mincing her words.
Caden’s smile widened as he tugged lightly on her hair before he admitted, “Do you mean am I a more aggressive lover?”
Abella blushed but nodded her head to his question and he laughed loving the red tinged that covered her cheeks.
“Yes I am but you are still healing so I was more gentle,” he told her leaning up and kissing her nose. “So when you heal, I would give you warning to watch out.”
Although the blush was still on her cheeks, Abella’s eyes darkened with anticipation as she murmured, “That I can’t wait to see.”
Caden couldn’t help laughing at her response as he trailed his hands down her back until he reached her bottom which he smacked lightly.
“You need to get on your stomach,” he told her watching her eyes widen in astonishment and he chuckled.
“I need to put the medicine on your back,” he whispered watching how her eyes lit with embarrassment and the red in her cheeks became stronger.
“Sly, very sly,” she murmured as she eased off him to settle on her stomach.
He grabbed the jar of ointment making himself comfortable on the bed as he opened it and began to spread it on her back noting that whatever was in the ointment was doing a damn good job. He stilled when he realized that it was also bringing back Abella’s energy and strength as he recalled how she used her powers to keep him in the room earlier.
“Is the door still locked?” He asked as he continued putting on the ointment.
“Whoever said it was locked, I merely closed it,” she murmured sending a wicked look over her shoulder at him. “So if you want to leave then you are free to go.”
He finished putting on the ointment and twisted the top back on the jar before wiping his hands with the towel he placed with the jar. Then he lowered himself next to Abella as she gently settled on her side and he put an arm around her waist drawing her up flush against his body.
“I am fine right where I am,” he told her kissing the top of her head as she snuggled her head into the crook of his neck.
Good, he thought she said but he wasn’t positive and yet a smile curved his lips as he began to fall asleep an arm draped over her waist holding her firmly in place.
Chapter 33
Two days later, Caden looked up from his chair behind his desk to watch Abella who sat on the couch going through her notebook studying. The beginning of next week she would be going to the school for her make-up test so she was preparing herself for them. He smiled his eyes gleaming as he noticed that since Abella had appeared in their life his wolf seemed to be calmer although he still wanted to tear the ones that took and hurt her to shreds.
He frowned as he thought about that catching the scent of Jessa and Asilynn as they started for the office. A thoughtful look came to his eyes as they came to the door since he had been leaving it open for the last few days when Abella was in the office with him.
“Come in,” he said nodding his head to where Abella sat on the couch. She looked up her eyes distracted as they laughed walking over to her.
“Hi,” they chorused, and Abella smiled before she laughed at them shaking her head.
Caden got up and said ‘excuse me’ quietly, and although the other ladies didn’t hear him Abella looked up and gave him a smile that made him rethink leaving the room. He shook himself as he stepped out of the room and heading for the makeshift gym as he knew that Timothy and a few others were working out.
He could’ve used the pack link but he figured leaving the room would give the ladies some time to be more open than if he was sitting there.
“Caden, are you here to work out?” Timothy asked wiping his face with a towel.
“No,” Caden said taking a look around the room as Jenna walked into the gym her eyes scanning the room.
“Timothy, do you think that you and some of the members would help me to get the room ready for this evening?” He asked him keeping his voice as low as possible so that Jenna didn’t hear him.
Unfortunately, she saw him a
nyway and headed over to him as she called out, “Caden!”
He sighed silently as he glared at Timothy who told him before she reached him, “I will get a few others and meet you in the room.”
Caden nodded his head as Jenna reached them just as Timothy finished his statement.
“Caden, I haven’t seen you in the last few days,” she pouted at him.
Caden was saved from saying anything to her when one of the other pack members came over to him to ask him about some extra training he wanted them to do and Jenna’s eyes hardened before a gleam entered them. She walked out of the gym with a sway of her hips although Caden didn’t pay any attention to her.
Jessa, I think Jenna is heading that way, he told her.
Do you want me to go back to the room, Abella asked him catching him off guard.
No but be careful, he warned her catching her laughter at his words.
He shook his head as the pack member looked at him oddly and he apologized before answering the member’s questions.
About ten minutes later, he headed back to the office for a quick look in noticing that Jenna was nowhere to be seen but Jessa noticed him. He waved her out as Asilynn caught Abella’s attention helping her with her work.
“Jessa, do me a favor and buy Abella a laptop so she can do her reports?” He asked her handing over his credit card.
Jessa took it with a frown as she offered, “Abella can use my computer.”
Caden didn’t say anything as he gave her a look and Jessa stifled her laughter before she murmured, “You are getting a little possessive, brother.”
“No, I just want to keep her close by because I don’t know how much longer we will be together before I have to leave to help Stone or when she will be ready to help Cicely,” Caden told her honestly.
Jessa’s face lost its laughter as she nodded her head and told him, “I have to go out in a little while anyway so I will get it then.”
