DIrty Dark Deceit: A Criminal Bad Boy Standalone

I can't think of anything less I'd like to do than have sex with him. Christ, that would be a train wreck. We're polar opposites. I don't even want to think about what he's like in bed. And yet, here I am, watching as he shifts the gear stick, wishing it was me he was sticking it to.
As he pulls up outside my house, I clear my throat. The porch light is on. No doubt mum is waiting up, worrying about me. I had to give a not-so-convincing lie that I slept at a friend's house last night. I usually tell her everything, but I can't exactly tell her I've been wrangled into a plot to steal a guy's car. How I'll explain the money I'm going to get for it, I haven't quite figured out.
“Thanks.” I flash Logan a tight smile, reaching for the door handle. The Lamborghini was super loud so we couldn't talk until now. Probably a good thing.
Logan catches my hand before I go. “About that kiss...”
I frown at him, trying to tug my hand free. “It was a one time thing.”
“Can we make it a two time thing?” He leans closer and I vigorously shake my head.
“No. Who knows where your tongue has been? I'm already going to have to gargle mouthwash for ten minutes as it is. Let's not make it twenty.” My body is telling a whole different story to my mouth, my chest rising and falling, heat gathering between my legs.
Kiss me kiss me kiss me.
I press my thighs together, tugging away again. No. I'm not going to let him do this to me.
He releases my hand, running his tongue over his teeth. “You seemed to enjoy it at the time.”
“That was a little show for my ex. Don't go getting any ideas.”
“You're not that good of an actress, I just watched you all day on camera.”
I huff at him, opening the door. “Goodbye, Logan.” Before he can say another word, I slam the door, heading to the porch and fumbling for my keys in my bag.
I feel his eyes burning a hole in my back and start muttering my frustration to myself. “Stupid, good kissing, super hot, stupid arsehole.”
The keys graze against my fingertips and I snatch them, forcing them into the lock and pushing into the house with a sigh of relief.
I jog upstairs and Mum appears on the landing in her flowery pyjamas. “You're not due home for another hour.” She checks the watch on her wrist, tapping it and holding it to her ear.
“It's fine mum. Actually...I quit.”
“You did?” she says in surprise then breaks into a smile. “Oh I'm so proud of you, baby girl. Now you can figure out what you really want to do.”
“Yeah,” I sigh. “That's the idea...actually Mum I think I'm going to take a holiday. Just a week. France...”
She nods several times, walking forward, looking like she'd like to hug me. My sweaty exterior holds her off. “I think that's a great idea, Darcy.”
My shoulders sag. No more lies. I'm going to France. That's the truth and I don't need to elaborate on it.
“Night Mum.” I move to kiss her cheek but she leans away.
“You're all sweaty, Darcy. Go have a shower.” She rubs her shoulders like she feels dirty from being near me.
Jeez, I wish she'd relax. This OCD effects every aspect of her life. I wish there was a way I could make her snap out of it.
I head to the bathroom, showering and walking to my room in a towel. The beautiful red dress I wore to Ralph's place is hanging on the back of the door. I smile at it, moving across the small 8 by 8 metres that is my room and drop onto my single bed. Bending down, I pull out the bottom drawer of my bedside table, retrieving my pyjamas.
My phone rings from my bag but I ignore it, dropping my towel and pulling on my shorts and vest. Don't need the hassle right now. All I want is to slip under my covers and forget I just agreed to go to France to assist in a crime.
I rub my hair dry, eyeing myself in the mirror.
My phone rings again and I sigh, figuring the universe isn't going to give me any peace tonight. I take my phone out, finding Logan calling. I frown, answering, dropping onto my bed.
“Hello,” I say, twirling a piece of damp hair around my finger.
“Oh Darcy, I tried to ring you...”
“What?” I sense something off in his tone.
“I was going to warn you, I swear, but then you just...dropped your towel.”
“What?!” I blurt, my heart rate going from zero to sixty.
“The camera's still on the dress. I was just on my iPad and noticed it was on...bad timing I guess. Or good timing in my case.”
My mouth drops open and I round on the dress, horrified to my core. “You watched me?” I say in horror.
“To be fair, I only saw the back of you. But you do have a very nice...back.” There's a grin in his voice that makes me want to punch his face into oblivion.
I snatch the dress off the door, balling it up and shoving it deep, deep under my bed. Safe and sound with my pony, Honeycomb.
“I can't believe you,” I snarl.
“It was an accident!”
“Yeah, right. Pretty fortunate accident for you.”
“Sweetheart, much as you'd like to think of me as a pervert, I actually wouldn't spy on you. That's pretty low, even for me, don't you think?”
“You still watched.”
“I'm only human.” He laughs. “And you are...” He makes a sexual grunting noise.
“Ew. Stop it.”
He continues to laugh unashamedly. “By the way, we're leaving at 10 tomorrow. I'll pick you up. Have you got anything nice to wear for this trip or do we need to go shopping again?”
I roll over and curl my knees to my chest. “I have nice clothes.”
“Promise? Because if you start dressing like Paddington Bear-”
“I have nice clothes!” I cut him off, anger flaring through me.
“Alright, alright. Keep your towel on.”
An angry growl rolls out of my throat at the dig. “You are a pig.”
“Chill out, Darcy. See you tomorrow.”
I hang up before he can, glaring at the pale pink wallpaper opposite me. I can't believe Logan Chase has seen me naked. Thank god I wasn't facing the other way. I would never be able to look him in the eye again.
I crush a pillow to my chest, fisting the pillowcase, trying to let my anger go but it's near impossible. Damn that stupid man.
My phone pings and I snatch it up, my heart melting at the sight of Ralph's name.
Lovely meeting you today, Darcy. I look forward to seeing you in France.

“Got a blunt?” Adam asks, playing the big man now. Fifteen and he thinks he's fucking Jesus Christ himself.
He still looks at me with those eyes though. If he's Jesus, then I'm God. I'm still better.
“Yeah. Here, bro.”
Man, I'm not gonna get that tight little ass out of my head for a while. That girl was hiding some serious curves. And now I'm hard as fucking iron for her. That kiss tonight, she just...threw herself at me. I haven't seen that side of her before and I want more. So much more.
But how am I going to get it? She closes herself off to me so tightly, it's like she's wrapped in cling film.
I lay in bed, my head cupped in my hand, thinking about her. Darcy Jenkins.
I recall her ex, putting two and two together and realising he must have cheated on Darcy with that Lidia woman. Darcy's boss...
Oh fuck. No wonder she hates men. What was that prick thinking, cheating on a girl like her with Lidia? She doesn't have half the talent Darcy does.
I can't sleep for a long time, my mind on overdrive. Why does she get under my skin so much? Is it just because I can't have her? Nothing like the chase to draw me in. Hook, line and fucking sinker.
Maybe I should back off. Find an easier lay.
But that fucking kiss...
She responded perfectly to me. If I can make her moan like that with just a kiss, what the fuck would she be like with my cock inside her?
I groan my frustration, trying to
ignore the throbbing in my boxers. For fuck's sake, she's got me all worked up again. I've jacked myself off more times in the last two days than I have in a whole month.

I pack a bag for the week before taking the SUV to Darcy's house. At 10am, I'm heading to the door and jabbing my finger against the doorbell.
A young girl answers with dark hair and olive skin. “Yes?” she asks suspiciously, folding her arms. Her attitude tells me this is Darcy's sister, though she's nothing like her in looks.
“I'm Logan, Darcy in?” I peer over her shoulder. The kid's nearly half my height.
“Maybe. Maybe not,” she taunts me.
Christ, did this gene pool get a double dose of sass, or what?
I tongue my cheek, resting my hand on the door frame. “And what's your name?”
“Kelly. What do you want with my sister? She doesn't like men.”
I laugh, caught off guard. “I noticed. But I'd like to see her all the same. We're going on a trip together.”
“Now I know you're lying. She wouldn't go away with some douchy guy.”
I pause at her insult. “Douchy?” I mutter.
She folds her arms, giving me what is apparently a typical Jenkins look. “It doesn't take a genius to spot one.”
“You've been paying too much attention to your sister.” I move forward but she doesn't budge. Is this shrimp for real?
“I'm my own person.”
“Hm, I'm not convinced...”
She drops her arms, giving me an even stare. “Darcy is the strongest person I know.”
“That's great. Now can I come in?” I try to move past her again but she blocks my way, glaring up at me.
“But I'm not all like her. In fact, I have a boyfriend.”
“Good for you,” I say through my teeth, growing impatient.
“His name is Lionel and I reckon he could beat you up.”
I laugh, giving Kelly my full attention. “How old are you?”
“Twelve.”
“And your boyfriend?”
“Thirteen.”
“And you think a thirteen your old boy could beat me up?”
Her eyes slide over me and when her assessment is complete, she juts up her chin. “Yes.”
“Christ, I better get back to the gym then, hadn't I?”
She giggles, stepping aside. “Only teasing. You're about ten times the size of him. Would you like a cup of tea?”
“Love one.” I follow her through to the kitchen and she gestures for me to sit at the breakfast bar. Perching on a stool, I wait whilst she boils the kettle. Guess mini Darcy has a sense of humour.
“Shouldn't you be at school?” I frown.
“It's Saturday, dickhead.”
“Right,” I say, surprised by her mouthiness. I am so out of touch with teenagers...
She laughs again, pouring the tea as the kettle boils. “So are you Darcy's boyfriend?”
“No. I don't do relationships. And I don't think she does either.”
“That's true. Not since dickhead Daniel screwed up her life.” She takes out milk from the fridge. “How do you like your tea?”
“Milk, one sugar. We bumped into Daniel last night. Seems like a douche.”
“He is a douche. Does he still dress like The Great Gatsby?”
“Yeah.” A laugh rips from my throat. “Darcy broke up with him right? How long ago was it?”
“A year ago.” Kelly joins me at the breakfast bar, sitting opposite with her tea. “Darcy was like...so different before. With him. Daniel just turned her into a doormat.”
“Uhuh.” I sip my tea. “So what happened?”
“She went thermo-nuclear one day. Just proper snapped. I've never seen anything like it. She turned up here saying she'd found him in bed with her boss. And she'd kicked them out of her flat.”
A knife turns in my gut. “They fucked in her flat?”
Kelly raises her eyebrows at the swear word.
“Shit, sorry,” I mutter, realising too late I've done it again.
“It's okay,” she says quickly, her cheeks turning pink.
Oh man. I am not good at gauging how to speak to this kid.
“So yeah...Daniel, um...” She cups her mouth with her hand and whispers, “Had sex with Dirty Lidia.”
I grin at the name.
“And Darcy went nuts. She's basically been like that ever since. She's so tightly wound. She used to come dancing with me at the youth club on Fridays, but not any more. She's just...different. And totally badass. But I guess I miss the old Darcy sometimes...” She sullenly sips her tea and I tongue my cheek.
“Well...people put up walls when they get hurt.” Don't I know it.
“I know, but she's put up a fortress surrounded by a moat, surrounded by a fifty foot fence.”
I grin, finishing my tea. Nothing's stopped me before.
Darcy's mother appears in a pale blue shirt and jeans. She takes me in with wide eyes, quickly adjusting her blonde bob.
I stand. “Morning, Ms Jenkins.”
“Oh- Logan, isn't it?”
“That's me. How are you?”
“Good...good.” Her eyes trail to the teabags Kelly has left on the counter.
“Kelly,” she hisses, moving to clean them up.
Kelly rolls her eyes and I grab our mugs, placing them in the dishwasher. Better not piss off Mrs J. When I turn, I find Darcy in the doorway with her hands on her hips, looking both horrified and sexy as fuck.
“What are you doing?” she demands, her eyes zoned in on me like a missile lock.
“Putting these mugs in the dishwasher,” I reply smartly, scanning her little black pyjamas with interest. Why isn't she ready?
“You're better trained than my daughters,” Darcy's mother says with a light laugh.
Darcy grabs my arm, tugging me firmly away from her family. “Go wait in the car.”
“I'm fine here, thanks.” I detach her fingers from my arm.
“I thought you were going away this morning?” Darcy's mum asks her, grabbing a tea towel and starting to wipe down the cupboards. OCD much?
“I am.”
“With him?” Kelly asks excitedly, bouncing on the balls of her feet. At least I've got one fan routing for Team Logan.
“I- er. No, of course not,” Darcy lies and I raise an eyebrow at her. “He's just here to give me a lift to the airport.”
I survey her expression coolly. The chauffeur, am I?
“Weren't you?” she presses.
“Yeah,” I say with a shrug. I'll lie for her, but I don't see what the big deal is.
Kelly gives me a pointed stare and I shoot her a wink.
“Oh. That's nice of you. Well be safe, baby girl,” her mother says, kissing the air and wafting it over with her hand.
“Thanks Mum.” She looks annoyed.
I pretend to catch the kiss, holding it out to Darcy. “You forgot something.”
She huffs angrily at me and storms away. I grin, hearing her mother's laughter following me as I hound after her into the hall. That's two fans then. I'm gonna have me a cheerleading squad by the time this trip is over. Darcy included.
She heads upstairs and I move to follow.
Rounding on me, she holds up a hand. “No. Stay.”
Did she just command me like a dog? “I've seen your bedroom on camera.”
She turns bright red then runs away from me, leaving me grinning smugly to myself. “Remember to bring the camera and earpiece,” I call after her.
A few minutes later she appears in fitted running trousers, a vest top and a flowing white cardigan. She shoulders a sports bag, heading toward me. The smell of honey and almonds reach to me and I instinctively lean in closer.
“You smell nice.”
“It's au de fuck off,” she says. “Shall we go?”
I open the door for her and Kelly appears, throwing her arms around Darcy. “Have fun. Take lots of pictures.”
Darcy embraces h
er, kissing her hair. “I will. Love you, sis.” I eye her soft expression, drawn to it. I'm certain I'm glimpsing a rare weakness in Darcy, her expression earnest and open.
“Bye Kelly.” I flash her a grin, taking Darcy's bag from her and heading out the door.
Darcy's all mine for an entire week. She's definitely gonna warm up to me. And by me, I mean my cock. And by warm up to it, I mean ride like a cowgirl. To top it all off, at the end of the week we should be driving our fortune back to England.
I drop her bag in the back of the SUV, dropping into the driver's seat a minute later. Darcy talks to her sister in the doorway, soon waving goodbye and jogging up to the car. She climbs in, pulling on her seat belt, barely sparing me a glance. I doubt I'm going to see that softness to her again, but I'm certainly tempted to try and draw it out of her.
I turn the key in the ignition. “How about we try and get along this week, yeah?”
She turns to me, her hard expression melting a fraction. “Okay. But right now, I'm still mad at you.”
“For the camera?” I pull away down the road, setting the Sat Nav up on the dashboard for the Eurotunnel.
“Yes for the camera!”
“I'm sorry, alright? It really was an accident,” I say truthfully. Not one I regret though. But if I'm going to spend a whole week with this girl, I'd rather she didn't hate my guts.
She releases a slow breath. “Well I hope you got a good mental picture because you are never, ever seeing that again.”
“We'll agree to disagree.”
She falls silent but I feel her death stare burrowing into my skull.
“Oh, and I did by the way,” I add.
“You did what?”
“Get a good mental picture,” I laugh and she smacks my arm with a grunt of anger.
I just laugh harder, merging onto the motorway and heading south toward the coast. This should be fun.

“Please, baby. No highs tonight.” I pull Kira onto my lap as she twirls a joint between her finger and thumb.
“You're no fun any more,” she huffs.
