With each thrust, it was a give and take. Matching each other, and our bodies becoming one.

My breath caught, and my orgasm crashed over me. I kept moving up and down, letting my pussy milk Monk’s cock, never wanting this feeling to stop.

A sudden moan ripped from my lips when another level of ecstasy washed over me. Monk called my name to the night sky, and he emptied his cum inside me.

Our shallow panting and strangled breaths joined as we both came down from the best orgasm of my life.

“Holy shit,” I murmured. I collapsed on top of Monk without a care if I was crushing him.

He wrapped an arm loosely around my waist, and his head fell back. “That was a good first date,” he panted.

“I wonder what the second one will be like,” I laughed.

“Does that mean you’ll go out with me again?”

After a night like that, I would go anywhere with Monk. I wasn’t kidding when I said the type of woman for Monk would be one who enjoyed long rides on the back of his bike. I guess now that also included that they needed to like long rides on his dick, too. “I mean, I’m not against a second date.”

A chuckle thundered from his lips. “After that, you’re still gonna play hard to get with me, Birdie?”

I shrugged and patted his chest. “I never played hard to get with you, Monk. I was just being myself.”

He trailed his fingers over my back in lazy circles. “Good thing I like that about you.”

“You wanna be specific about what you like?”

  “You,” he stated simply.

“I’ve never heard that before.” Sure, I had been with people who like this or that about me, but it was never that they liked all of me. “You do know I’m kind of a bitch, and I like to be in control, right?”

Monk chuckled. “Yeah, I’ve seen that firsthand, Mitzy.”

“So, you can’t possibly like all of me.”

He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed. “I like you, Mitzy. Everything that comes with you, from your sass to your ass. I like it.”

“Well, I kind of figured you like my ass.”

He reached down and gave me a light pat on my butt. “It’s a good one.”

I laughed and relaxed. “I’m gonna fall asleep.”

“As nice out as it is, I think we need to head in before the mosquitoes start finding out how nice that ass of yours is.” Monk jackknifed up and lifted me in his arms.

  “Our clothes,” I whined.

Monk managed to reach down for his pants, grabbed his keys, but then dropped them back on the porch. “We can get them in the morning. We just need the keys.”

I giggled as he juggled me in his arms while he unlocked the front door and strode inside. He climbed the steps holding me while I held onto him like glue .

“Your bed or mine?” he asked.

I smothered a yawn into his chest and shrugged. “I like the way you smell.”

Monk chuckled. He walked into the room he had been staying in and laid me down. I grabbed his pillow and buried my face in the smell of Monk.

“I’m gonna go lock up, Birdie.”

I flitted my hand in the air. “Whatever.” I had his pillow, and I was about five seconds away from falling asleep.

Monk’s laughter floated down the hallway as he jogged back down the stairs.

My eyes closed, and they only flitted open when Monk moved into bed behind me and cradled me in his arms.

  “Sleep, Birdie,” he whispered.

I sighed and sunk into his safe embrace. “Best first date ever,” I whispered. I promptly fell asleep, Monk’s intoxicating scent surrounding me.

  Chapter Fifteen

  Living the life…

  Monk

  “That makes no sense.”

I rolled my eyes and finished my coffee. “I don’t care if it makes sense; I will take you to work, and then I need to head to Rain’s.”

Mitzy rolled her eyes. “I will drive myself to work. You’re not my chauffer, Monk. I am more than capable of driving.”

I set my empty cup in the sink and leaned against the counter with my arms over my chest. “Amazing sex last night, and now this afternoon, you’re gonna just give me all the sass?” I growled.

Mitzy rolled her eyes. “As if you really thought that one round of hot sex was going to just mellow me out.”

I had kind of hoped it would. At least for a day or two.

It was half-past three, and Mitzy was ready to go to the club while I was going to head to the clubhouse and then Rain’s once it got dark. Mitzy didn’t like the idea of me dropping her at work and then doing what I needed to do.

“What happens if I want to leave work, and you’re still out doing whatever it is that you’re doing?” she asked.

“Then Jinx will give you a ride home.”

She curled her lip. “I’m not interested on being on the back of Jinx’s bike, thank you very much.”

I wasn’t too keen on the idea either, but I also didn’t like the idea of Mitzy driving by herself. “I don’t want you by yourself, Mitz. We still have no idea who tried to hurt you, so they’re still out there, probably trying to figure out another way to kill you.”

Mitzy wrinkled her nose. “Jinx can follow behind me like he did that first day. It worked perfectly.” She held up her hand. “I promise not to try to lose him or brake check him.”

I chuckled and shook my head. “This is where I need to let you fly on your own, huh, Birdie?”

She nodded and moved in front of me. She wrapped her arms around my neck and dropped a kiss to my lips. “You know that I’m going to do what I want to, Monk. Are you just arguing with me because it turns you on a little bit?” She held up her pointer finger and thumb with a little space between them. “Just a teeny tiny bit?”

“Everything you do turns me on, Mitzy.” I slapped her ass. “I figure if you piss me off too much, I’m just gonna have to fuck you until you stop arguing with me.”

She tipped her head back and forth. “I mean, that doesn’t seem like such a bad idea. Should we try it now?”

I slapped her ass again. “We don’t have time for that, Birdie. I’m just gonna have to let you get your way this time.” I kissed her with a grin. “Just know the next time I’m not going to give in so easily.”

She rolled her eyes and patted my chest. “That’s what you think.” She pecked a kiss to my cheek and pulled out of my arms. “I’m leaving, so if you want to follow me, you better get your boots on, biker. This Birdie is ready to fly.” She grabbed her keys and purse and buzzed out the door.

“You better wait for me, woman,” I called.

I grabbed my keys off the counter and walked out the front door. I found my boots at the foot of the lounge and laughed. We would have to pick up our clothes when we got back tonight.

Or maybe we would add to the piles on the porch floor. I locked the front door and cussed when Mitzy’s Charger backed out of the garage and she took off down the driveway in a cloud of dust.

“Damn, woman,” I muttered. I closed the garage door that she was in too much of a hurry to take care of herself and hopped on my bike.

Mitzy was thankfully waiting for me at the end of the driveway when I got there.

“You’re kind of slow today, biker,” she called out of her open window.

I flipped her off. “Get your ass to work, Birdie, before I pulled you from that car and fuck the sass out of you.”

Her eyes grew, and she fanned her face with her hand. “Don’t tempt, Monk.”

I held my hands out, welcoming her to try me.

“Second date tonight,” she called. She peeled out of the driveway, throwing a huge cloud of dust in my face.

She was going to pay for that.

  Tonight.

I turned into the Skinz parking lot and glimpsed Monk pause at the entrance and nod to Jinx, who was parked next to me.

  Part of me wis
hed Monk didn’t have to leave today, but I knew it was probably for the best since if he were at the club with me, I was just going to fuck him on my desk. I needed to save that for another day.

I got out of my car and hitched my purse over my shoulder. “Good morning, Jinx.”

Jinx took his helmet off and hung it on the handlebars. “You’re in a good mood today, Mitzy.”

I shrugged and dug my key to the club out of my purse. “Maybe, but we’ll see how long it lasts once I step inside, right?”

Jinx followed me inside and locked the door behind him. “What’s on the agenda for today?” he asked.

I smiled at him over my shoulder. “The usual. Straightening G-strings and pasting on titty tassels.”

“Just living the life, darlin’,” he laughed.

  Living the life, indeed.

  Chapter Sixteen

  Babysitter Jinx…

  Monk

  “Menace is on board.”

I sighed and fell back into my chair. “Thank fucking God.”

Leo chuckled through the phone. “I figured you would be relieved by that. I was gonna make you wait a couple more days, but I thought I would let you know right away.”

“Well, the club and I appreciate that.”

“I’m sure you do. Though you’re gonna have to wait a little longer until I get the information you need. He was eager to work for me, but I could tell that there was some hesitancy there. Menace isn’t a stupid man.”

I knew he wasn’t. Hell, he had managed to kill Leona without leaving any fucking evidence. “I trust you’ll know how to handle him.”

Leo chuckled. “I’ve dealt with men like him before. Give me three weeks tops, and you’ll have everything you need to take him down.”

  “Thank you, Leo.”

“Anything for a friend of my nephew. Though, to be fair, I’m more fond of you than I am of my knucklehead nephew at the moment.” Leo sighed. “In my absence, Marco has managed to anger a lunatic, destroy one of the estates, but also fall in love and become a father.”

My eyes bugged out. “He managed to do all of that while you’ve been gone?” I laughed.

Leo chuckled. “My nephew is an overachiever, it seems. Though he’s handling it all well, it would have been better if the estate didn’t have a huge hole in.”

“Win some, ya lose some,” I mused.

“Oh, I almost forgot. I put some feelers out to see if I could help locate your rogue president. As of right now, the only sighting of him I can find is up in Michigan, but that was a couple of months ago.”

I sighed. “I think I know about that, too. He made a stopover at a club we’re connected to, but he was gone before we could even think about getting there.”

“I might have to have a talk with this Barracuda if he ever shows up. I’ve never known a man who is capable of disappearing like he has.”

That was the fucking truth. Barracuda had turned fucking invisible, which was surprising with his distinctive looks and demeanor. Normally where ever he went, people took notice. “He’s a fucking ghost right now. Losing Leona really fucked with him.”

“Understandably,” Leo murmured. “Losing the ones closest to us takes more out of us than we know is possible. I’ll be in touch about Menace.” Leo ended the call, and I tossed the phone on the table.

“That wasn’t either good or bad,” Playboy remarked.

I shrugged. “It’s good he’s made a deal with Menace, but we’re gonna have to wait longer for anything else to happen.”

Rebel leaned forward and rested his elbows on the table. “You know what I don’t get? Barracuda is gone. No one knows where he is, but yet he pops up at the Kings of Vengeance for a night, and then he’s fucking gone again.”

“It’s like he wanted to be seen there.” Jet pointed his finger Rebel. “Like it was a message or something.”

“But what message? He showed up, asked for a place to sleep, and then he was gone by fucking morning.” If he were going to send a message, it would have been nice to have a clear one.

“Maybe the message was to just let us know that he was okay.” Six-Gun shrugged. “I mean, that sighting did give us a little hope for a while. We, at least, knew he wasn’t dead or hurt somewhere.”

“So, when the hell is the next message going to come?” I asked.

“Maybe soon? That sighting was about three months after Leona died, and now it’s been about three months since then.” Jet counted on his fingers. “Yeah, we’re at about two and a half months since we heard him being up in Michigan.”

I sighed and leaned back. “Well, then let’s hope Barracuda sends us another sign soon because I’m back to thinking the fucker is dead in a ditch somewhere.”

“We still hitting up Rain’s house tonight?” Rebel asked.

I nodded. “Yeah. We gotta figure out what the hell she knows before we toss her to the side.”

Rebel nodded. “Well, I say we hit up her house tonight, but I’m not sure that we are going to find anything.”

  “Why is that?” Playboy asked.

Rebel knocked his knuckles on the table. “Because she isn’t going there. Not after work, and not anytime during the day.”

“Then where in the hell is she going?” I asked.

“A house over on Barter street. Small house, but it’s on a large lot on the edge of town. The past two nights, she’s been there, and when she leaves, she comes straight to the club.”

“You see anyone around the house?” Six-Gun asked. “Does she got a new boyfriend already?”

Rebel shrugged. “She could. Whoever lives there isn’t out and about when I’m there, but when Rain leaves, so do I, so I don’t know what’s going on all the time over there.”

I nodded to Mace. “After we take a look around Rain’s house, I want you going over to the house on Barter and watch it. Let me know what and who you see.”

Mace nodded and gave a salute. “Fine by me as long as I still get to take part in a little B&E tonight.”

Jet bumped knuckles with Mace. “Right on, brother. It’ been a hot minute since we’ve been able to have a little fun.”

“The fact you fuckers think breaking and entering is fun speaks volumes on how fucked up you are.” I shook my head.

“Hey,” Mace called. “You shouldn’t knock people’s kinks.” He elbowed Jet. “I saw that on the internet the other day.”

“That’s talking about having a toaster shoved up your ass, dipshit, not about breaking and entering,” Six-Gun laughed.

Mace sat back, shocked. “Did you just say a toaster? Is that code for a big cock, or am I losing my grip on being in the know?”

And this is where the meeting ended before shit really went off the rails. “You guys can talk about shoving toasters up your asses on your own time.” I stood and looked around the table. “We’ll leave in fifteen minutes. Jinx texted me that Rain was at work, and he’s keeping an eye on Memphis, Raelyn, and Mitzy.” Jinx really had his hands full, but he didn’t seem to mind.

“We’re gonna have to buy Jinx a bottle of whiskey after watching all of the ol’ ladies,” Playboy laughed.

“A fucking case,” I grunted. “Get ready and meet out front.” It was time to start eliminating possibilities of where Tank might be and just fucking find him.

  Chapter Seventeen

  One, two, three, weeeee…

  Mitzy

  “You want that responsibility?”

Flo shrugged. “I mean, I’m doing it some days, so I don’t see why it would be so hard to do it every day.”

“What are you going to do on your days off?” I asked.

Flo leaned back in her chair. “I could have a meal prepared that the girls can either warm themselves, or it can be something that is supposed to be eaten cold. And if it comes down to it, I could always ask Constance to handle the meals on my days off.”

Flo had just sprung on me that she always wanted to have a meal re
ady and available for the girls whenever they were working. On random nights, I would have something in the dressing room, but I was not consistent with having something in there. “You’re really taking on the house mom role fully, huh?” I laughed.

She shrugged. “I mean, it is my job, right?”

I nodded. “It is, but I don’t want you to take on more than you can handle. Once you start doing this for the girls, they’re going to expect it all of the time. Right now, they know they get a meal when I get a wild feather in my hair.” And that was the damn truth because some days, it was more than enough to get the girls on the stage and booze in the drinks. Though, bringing on Flo was supposed to help take some of that pressure off me.

“I can handle it. I know when my mom used to dance, there was a woman who made meals for the girls and made sure they had everything they needed. She had a sort of store set up so if the girls forgot something, they could get it at the club. I know when I danced for a few years, I always went on stage starving and would have loved to be able to grab an actual healthy snack or meal in between sets.”

I shrugged. I couldn’t comment because I never danced on stage. Slung drinks and waitressed, yes. Slapped on some titty tassels and shook what the good Lord gave me? Negative. “You wanna do it, do it. Let me know how much you think you’re going to need, and I’ll get the money to you tomorrow.”

Flo clasped her hands together. “Seriously?”

“Wish granted, Flo. Just don’t feed the girls too good, or they are never going to want to leave the dressing room.”

“Is it okay if I talk to Constance about helping out when it’s my days off?”

I nodded and grabbed the schedule. “Shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll try to schedule her on your days off, and if I can’t, I’ll help out.” I guess throwing something in the crockpot or whatever was basically what I was doing now. Flo would have it all planned out, and I would just need to follow her instructions.

Flo jumped up and clutched her clipboard to her chest. “Thanks so much, Mitzy! You’re really not as big of a bitch as you come off as.”
