Absolution (Heaven's Rejects MC Book 3)

I slide from our new SUV, and stalk quietly to the back door, only to find Voodoo leaning against the wall next to Raze’s office. Now, I know something isn’t right. I slide up next to him, but his eyes don’t move from the doorway.
“What’s going on, V? We got problems?”
“You could say that. Remember that woman I told you about that I met online?”
“Yeah, what does she have to do with this?”
“She was Ricca’s therapist you had me check out.”
“Okay?” I answer back. “I don’t think Ricca would mind you seeing her if that’s what you think. She hasn’t seen a counselor since we got back.”
“That’s not the problem, Ratch. The problem is that she is here, sitting in that very office, talking to Raze.”
“Are you fucking kidding me? Did you invite her here?”
“Nope,” he says exaggerating his words with a loud pop on the end of it. “I didn’t even tell her where I lived.”
“So, she tracked you down and showed up then. That’s fucking creepy.”
“That’s not exactly it. She showed up this morning with another girl in toe, demanding to talk to Raze.”
I stare back at him in confusion. Why would this woman want to talk to Raze? It doesn’t make any sense. How would she even know about the club for that matter? The only way she would even possibly know that is if she is either familiar with the club, Voodoo told her, or she’s a fucking crazy ass stalker.
“She’s his fucking sister.”
“You’ve got to be shitting me. Ricca’s therapist is Presley Sanders.” I laugh. “All this time, you’ve been web fucking Presley.”
“Laugh it up, asshole. She apparently lied about her name. I saw her walk in her, and I about died where I was standing.”
“He’s going to kill you,” I holler out, laughing my ass off. “You are so fucking dead.”
V smacks me, and just as he does the door opens. A tall woman steps out of the doorway, and I know in an instant that this is Presley. Her time away from the club has done wonders for her, and the skinny little girl who left here with her mom so many years ago, is finally grown into a woman. V stiffens up next to me, and smacks me hard.
I look back to Presley as she steps aside, and reveals the other woman who came in with her, according to Voodoo.
A cascade of black hair masks her face, but as she shifts it out of the way, I freeze.
“Ginny?”
“Hi, Jude.”
What the actual fuck? My fucking sister is alive.

It’s been a year since I released a full length Heaven’s Rejects MC Novel, and I know what you’re thinking. Why did it take so long? The truth is that my muse disappeared. My driving need to write went along with her. It took time for me to find my place again, and when she came roaring back, I was ready. I knew when I had decided to put Ricca and Ratchet together that their story would be the hardest story to tell. Ricca’s past was heartbreaking to write about in Heaven Sent, and as the muddy waters cleared, I realize that the darkness was still yet to come for her. Sometimes it’s necessary to put your characters through hell for the sweet, innocent moments to really be cherished. Ratchet was her safe place, and like so many others in reality, helped her find her center again. Their story isn’t pretty, and it was never meant to be that way because out of the darkness, the light will come again.
I want to thank each and every one of my readers who have patiently waited for this book. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to finally write the words “The End”. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
There are a few people that I would like to acknowledge in their efforts into making this book possible.
To my husband: For the past seven years, our lives have drastically changed. The day we pledged ourselves to each other we made a promise to be there in sickness and in health. Last October, I thought I lost you for the second time, but you fought. You fought harder than I have ever seen you fight, and nearly a year later, you are the strongest person I know. Our life together has had its ups and downs, but when we are together, nothing can stop us. I love you with all of my heart, and I want to thank you for giving me the gift of your presence in my life. As crazy as a ride that it has been over the last few years, I am happy that I get to do it with you by my side.
To Nikki: You have been a part of my life for nearly three years now, and I seems like it has been so much longer than that. When I get discouraged or frustrated, you talk me off the “I quit” ledge. You encourage me to keep fighting, and without you in my life, this book would have never been finished. You are truly a person in my corner, and I thank God every single day that you’re in my life.
To everyone who had a hand in the creation of this book: The team of people who are behind me with every book amazes me. I am nothing without the team of people who support me from behind the scenes. Their dedication and hard work takes my words and makes them into a stunning piece of literary art.
Nikki takes my words, and makes them beautiful. She doesn’t even yell at me too much when writing late into the night makes my fingers and brain not communicate very well.
Rebecca Pau from The Final Wrap takes an image, and creates a beautiful cover that tells a story all on its own. Her work astonishes me every single time she creates the perfect cover to match the vision in my head.
Brenda from Formatting Done Wright: Brenda came into my life at a time where I didn’t think that I could make my very tight deadline, but like all miracles, she took my book baby and made it beautiful. Though we met through a giveaway, our working relationship is only just beginning. Thank you for joining me on this crazy ride.
And lastly, my readers,
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to give you a part of my soul, and loving the characters as much as I do. Each book is an extension of myself, and allows another part of me to heal from the loss of my father. I do this all for you.
