FILTHY ENGLISH: Romantic Tryst - BOOK 1 Page 4

by Danielle Greyson

She couldn’t dare to look back because she could feel his gaze spiked on her back, she knew he is coming after her.

At this point, she only wished JP doesn’t see where she is heading too.

They never contacted each other completely for almost a year, she didn’t know anything about JP, he never showed any interest in her and now that he sees her after all this time, he approaches and kisses her just like that?

  What is this guy thinking?

What she didn’t need right now is a scene in front of Nils and in front of all guests, it wasn’t fair to Nils, it isn’t fair for her as well.

She took a deep breath before arriving next to Nils and tried to put on her best face, making an effort to ignore what just happened outside the ballroom.

Carolina didn’t want to spoil the event and Nils’ happiness tonight.

Nils is the best thing that has happened to her in the last months, and JP just arrived like that and in seconds messed with Carolina’s mind, it isn’t fair for the wonderful man who was in front of her right now, who makes her feel like a princess.

She didn’t want Nils to go home with her, first, she needs to be alone but she wouldn’t mind if Nils stays in the event if he wishes to, but she couldn’t stay there any longer, her head was about to explode.

How could JP destroy with a kiss what Carolina tried to build few months ago, managing deliberately to rekindle the flame Carolina had for him.

Carolina still feels his kiss like a wildfire, burning her inside with blame and irritation, but rekindle the flame for him? Making her re-live the first and only meeting they had and how wonderful it had been during those unique moments for her. He is not worth her love, and Carolina will deny forever her feelings for him.

Her stress is evident all over her face, sitting at her table, she sees a waiter coming with a bottle of champagne sent from a guest who didn’t want to identify himself. Afraid of being JP sending the champagne, she nervously drank the champagne flute in two sips, filling her flute immediately.

Now she could not hold herself anymore, and her headaches are worse than ever, after telling Nils she doesn’t feel very good, she might have flu. She let Nils give her a kiss on the cheek, avoiding more intimate contact. Saying goodbye, she left the party immediately, fetching her coat and asked the doorman at the entrance of the hotel for a taxi. Arriving completely exhausted at home, she takes her Jimmy Choo’s sandals off and walked slowly from the entrance passing through the living room, going up the stairs towards the direction of her bedroom.

Walking step-by-step in slow motion, she felt helpless, and she wanted to forget this night ever happened.

Feeling dizzy, maybe because of the champagne, she dragged herself to the bedroom, undressed with a huge effort as if it was the last thing she was able to do, dropping everything on the floor without bothering to tidy up, as usual, re-living over and over again in her head the day’s event ...when she saw JP... his kiss...and Nils...the engagement request and the ring.

Tired, she sat on the edge of the bed taking the ring carefully off her finger, she looked at the beautiful and flawless diamond, blaming herself how full of flaws she is.

Nils is a man with excellent taste to buy a ring like this, how will you ever forgive me for letting be kissed by another man? Could I live with what happen without telling you? – Was Carolina’s thoughts while putting the diamond ring on the small table next to the bed.

She took a short shower, letting the water fall on her body hoping to take the whole mess down the drain disappearing once and for all.

When she finished the shower she felt so exhausted, falling asleep right away erasing completely.

JP and Carolina meet again, however it was nothing what they ever expected to be.

Two days after, both wake up next to each other in the same bed, in what it seems to be a cabin, outside birds are singing frenetically and the sound of the sea dying steady in the beach.

With an almost unbearable headache, Carolina gets up, completely surprised and fear seeing JP lying in the bed next to her.

“How is this possible? Why am I here?” – She shouts at him.

JP with his eyes already open, tries to figure out like her what is happening to him.

“I ask you the same” – He says back almost inaudible because of his headache.

After a few minutes they understand, something odd is going on, because none of them remember getting there.

Consequently, if it was not bad enough being in a place they don’t remember getting there, they look at each other already outside the wood cabin as they visualise sea all around them, the palms and a 360 degrees private beach, and right there, they visualize the weirdest thing ever, JP has a tuxedo and Carolina has a wedding dress on.

If they were confused how they got to a private island, the visual impact of each other was blowing away, they looked absolutely gorgeous in their attires, and if things couldn’t go worse, they saw at each other’s hand a wedding ring.

...in a desert island...they don’t remember getting there...they end up thinking they were kidnapped...and when they look at each other’s hands...they had a wedding band on...

Don’t miss the second book of the series Filthy English and find out what happen to JP and Carolina, and will they finally understand each other?

BOOK 2 on its way very soon…
