"I love you so much." His tears were gone now, replaced by that deep husky tone that meant one thing and one thing only. I felt myself lifted off the ground and backed toward the bed, then placed more delicately than ever.
"Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I'm going to break," I promised, as he settled between my legs and ripped off my panties.
"Be prepared for some extra special treatment, little lady." He licked at my clit, already throbbing with need from the moment we'd arrived home. "I'm not letting anything happen to you or our baby. I'll make sure of it."

After, he brought me dinner in bed and fed me the way he liked, pausing occasionally to kiss my belly or talk to our baby inside. And when he finally let me fall asleep, I did so in the arms of the only man I knew I needed to give me my best life.
