The Rebellion Engines

I must give a special thanks to Elizabeth Essex and David Bridger who reviewed and provided guidance on the terminology and content of the chapters that involved sailing and nautical terms. Despite insisting on setting a huge portion of the story on a Chinese junk manned by pirates (or pirate-like characters), I know zero when it comes to sailing the great seas and they were brilliant in setting me on the correct course. Any errors that remain in the text are solely mine.

Finally, I want to thank the Authors of Asian Novels group. I remember when the group was a small ragtag band trying to write Asian-set commercial fiction. Now we’re a large ragtag band and I can’t stress enough how bolstering it is to know I’m not the only one out there, especially on those extra-hard self-doubt days. Thank you and may we continue to try to crack the code together.
