The Devil's Match

“Yo!” Ripper said, rolling down the window as we got out of the truck. “Don’t get into fucking trouble tonight, yeah?”

  I winked. “We will.”

“Give me your fucking phone.” He put his hand out the window.

“What!” I glared at Jada, then gestured toward her. “Use her phone!”

“I have her number,” Ripper shot back. “I don’t have yours, and if I can’t get hold of you both from that phone, I’d like a-fucking-nother.” His attention cut to Jada, who was already pinning him with her own evil eyes. I sensed something there. Wait. Were they?

“Fine!” I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and threw it toward him. He punched a few numbers in and then gave it back.

“Toodles!” Then he kicked up smoke and burned off.

“Did he just say toodles or am I drunk?” I glanced at Jada, shocked.

She laughed, shaking her head. “Yeah, he totally did. That’s Ripper. Don’t take that cool demeanor for granted though… there’s a very good reason why he had earned the road name ‘Ripper.’”

“I’m gathering,” I replied, as we walked down the strip. “Are you two?” I had to ask, I was too nosy.

She shook her head. “No. I mean, do we? Yes. Sometimes. But he never wants anything more, and that’s fine with me. I’m not into catching feelings or whatever they call it. But it’s just good sex.”

“Fair enough,” I answered, not wanting to pry any further into what they have going on. Once we reached an entry to a club, I tugged on her arm. “Let’s forget for a little while.”

The doorman held out his hands for our ID’s and I rolled my eyes, pulling out my fake from my purse. I have a whole safety deposit box filled with passports and driver’s licenses.

He nudged his thumb over his shoulder and Jada and I skipped inside. The flicking strobe lights, smell of sweat dripped in cheap perfume, and the deep base of some hip-hop song played loudly, and just like that, I was forgetting.

Jada grinned. “Let’s fuck shit up.”

And we did. We danced until sweat poured from our pores and our hair was sticking to our flesh. We danced until my legs were numb, my eyes were so heavy they were peaking and until I felt the first vibration of a phone call in my purse. I ignored it, dancing and swinging my hands up high in that annoying way I see girls doing when they’re dancing but actually can’t dance. I can dance, so I have no excuse as to my dancing this way. Like a flapping penguin. The song remixes into Sam Hunt “Body Like a Backroad,” and I lose it. Yeah okay, so I like country music, especially Sam Hunt. Shoot me. I tugged on Jada and we ground to the smooth beat and lyrics. I spun around to face Jada again, only catching a guy standing behind her, his hands gripping onto her hips. My eyes shot to hers and she shrugged, turning in his grip and wrapping her hand around his neck. Just as I was about to check to see if she was okay with it, even though her response pretty much answered that question, I felt an arm wrap around my waist. I stilled, then turned around to face whoever it was. I was met with a cheesy smile, innocent twinkling eyes, and soft brown curls, I relaxed a little. I’m not feeling him, but since Jada is dancing with someone, I may as well make myself busy with this boy. I’m pretty good at reading people, and he seemed innocent enough. He leaned down into my ear, his hair scratching over my cheek. “Your friend is with my friend, so it only seems like the noble thing to do.”

I threw my head back and laughed. “What a gentleman.” I noticed how I’m a little rigid, and go on my tippy toes, my lips coming to his ear. “Sorry. Not very experienced in this…”

His eyebrow quirked, his palm coming to his chest. “You mean to tell me, a nice girl like you doesn’t do this every weekend?” His mouth widens. “I’m shocked.”

I laughed again, and we fell into a smooth, effortless dance.

  Chapter 5

  FROST

Asha’s ass was digging into my crotch and my hands flew to her hips, pushing her off. “Fuck off.”

“What?” She gaped at me like I had lost my mind. She had witnessed me speak like that to the clubwhores, but never to her. We fucked almost every week, yeah, and she’s the only one I hit up when I’m bored, but that’s as far as it went. The only reoccurring pussy, but that’s all she ever would be. Regardless of how she might look at it. She was a fucking good lay. She kept my brain busy and could handle how rough I got. That was all. Nothing more and nothing less. But that little fucking annoying eye contact thing Ella and I had going on was dangerous fucking ground. When I was a kid, I was a diagnosed psychopath. Whether it was a misdiagnosis and I was just a normal kid but dead inside, was still yet to be confirmed. My mom didn’t give me the time or effort, though. She put me in foster care on her own accord and ran. It turned out, no one fucking wanted a psychopath for a kid, so I jumped around the system until I was eighteen. I got a sidekick job at a local garage as a mechanic’s hand and on my third day, I met Luce, the former president and creator of The Devils Own MC, and also, Beast’s old man. He had brought his bike in and I was fascinated with it. I still remember the feeling of having the cool metal skim under the palm of my hand. Got my dick hard for real. He must have noticed or recognized the heaviness in my eyes, and he pretty much took me under his wing then. I patched into the club, and they became my family. Been here since.

“You heard. Get the fuck off.” I pushed off my chair and walked outside again, pulling out my packet of smokes from my pocket. I bit down on one and tugged it out of the packet, sparking it up. Inhaling deeply, I closed my eyes and cracked my neck. What the fuck is up with my fascination with Ella. Whatever it is, I’m assuming once I fuck her, that’ll disappear. With that thought, I headed toward Ripper, nudging my head at him. “Where’d you drop off Jada and Ella?”

His eyes narrowed on me, and then his lip kicked up in a half smile. Fucker. I already knew what he was going to say, so I interrupted him before he could—“Shut the fuck up, brother. I didn’t ask for any smart remarks.”

His grin deepened. Even if Ripper wasn’t a cheeky shit, he still couldn’t stand next to me. It goes in ranks within the club, and under Hella, the VP, is me.

  He laughed. “Down the Strip.”

“You dropped them off down the fucking Strip?” I could clip his fucking jaw.

“She’s with Jada.” I see his argument. Jada is a trained assassin, but her weapon is a katana. Which I was guessing, she wouldn’t be carrying it on her right now. He grabbed out his phone when he realized I wasn’t dropping it. “I got Ella’s number. Call her.”

I tugged my phone out and punched her number into my phone, then hit dial.

  Chapter 6

  ELLA

Resting my head on the wall outside the bathroom stall, I smiled to myself. I’d had so much fun tonight. It made me giddy to think I could be experiencing this almost every weekend when I started college. If I got into NYU, of course. It had been my dream since I was a kid to live in New York, and even though I was an above average kid, I still have reservations about getting accepted. My phone vibrated in my purse again and I pushed off the wall to reach for it. Sliding it unlocked while not recognizing the number, I brought it to my ear.

“Hello?” I answered, my eyes heavy and my body still pulsing from all the dancing I had been doing. I think my tiredness was catching up with me.

“Where are you?” I could recognize that voice anywhere. I stood up straight, my eyes shooting around the room.

“Ahhh…” I covered my other ear so I could hear better. “Frost?”

  “Yeah. Where are you?”

“Hang on.” I walked through the line of girls needing to use the toilet and pushed through the emergency exit doors. I froze, all senses heightened as I realized I had just walked out into a dark alleyway on the fucking Strip.

“Well hello, darling,” a homeless man whispered from his old ragged cardboard box home. If there was anything that was sobering, it would be this. Usually, it wouldn’t bother me, because God knows I can hold my own, bu
t being slightly intoxicated, (although the dancing and water had kicked most of my buzz out), I was still wobbly on my feet and at a disadvantage. Not good. Raze would be disappointed.

“Ella!” Frost snapped through the phone.

“Oh, ah, Omnia. You know where that is?” I answered, ignoring the homeless guy and walking toward the front of the club.

“Yeah. See you in five.” Then he hung up. I gaped down at my phone, God honest confused because it took around thirty minutes to get from the clubhouse to here. I’m rounding the corner, coming to the front entrance again when I heard Jada call out.

“Ella!” She waved me over to where her and the dude she was grinding against and his friend who I was grinding against were standing. I gave her a chin nod, raking my hair away from my face. Shit. How am I going to get out of this providing Frost was in fact on his way.

“Hey, sorry, I had to pee and then I got a phone call.”

She cocked her head, and that’s when I heard it. The deep, loud rumble of a bike coming up from behind me. Closing my eyes, I opened them onto Jada. She grinned. “Bit chilly, isn’t it?”

I ignore her stab. “Sorry! If you want, I can totally come with you?”

“What? No!” She gestured to the dude beside her. “He’s coming back to mine.”

“I am?” Her guy cut in, his hand wrapping around her as his friend’s gaze came down to me before going over my shoulder, to the now idling Harley. “Ah, yeah,” his friend froze, his face going pale. “I’m gonna go…” Then he turned and took off down the street, getting lost in the crowd.

“Go!” Jada waved toward the bike.

“Okay. Be safe. Toodles!” I wave at her, mimicking Hannibal. She bursts out laughing before getting back to what she was doing.

I turned to see Frost leaning back slightly, his eyes watching the guy who had just done a runner. I walked up to him anyway, even though every single fiber of my being was screaming at me not to get on that bike.

  “Hey.”

  “Who was that?”

  Well, shit.

  “What? Who?”

“That!” He pointed with the hand that had a cigarette clutched between two very long fingers, ignoring my dumb reply.

“Oh, just someone I was dancing with.” Hell, he has no say. Last I saw him, he had Asha on his lap.

His eyes cut to mine and I winced from the intensity. Fucking hell. He nudges his head. “Get on.”

Rolling my eyes because I knew how pissed he was, I got on his stupid bike, ignoring how the rumble vibrated right between my legs. He flicked his smoke away and then clutched my hands, tugging them so my chest instantly pressed against his hard back.

“Keep your legs away from the metal pipes.”

Right. Don’t touch the metal pipes. I could do this…. Not like I’ve ever ridden a fucking bike before but how hard could it be.

“I want to do that again,” I said as soon as we got back to the clubhouse. He kicked the stand, parking it third in line of the other bikes.

His eyes cut to mine and his jaw clenched. I realized this was the first time that we had really been alone together, not including the workout session earlier.

“What did I do wrong?” I was over the silent treatment, or him being obviously annoyed with me.

  He faltered, then grinned. “Nothing.”

I go to walk past him and head to my room when his fingers caught mine. Electricity zapped between our flesh and I pulled back, shocked at what just happened. “Where’s Asha?” I snapped. I couldn’t control my outburst and I felt stupid instantly after saying it.

His eyes slanted, then he came closer and closer until his chest was right almost against mine. I could feel his breath fall over my forehead. Mint, fresh, mixed with a soft hint of nicotine. Then I smelled his cologne, which wasn’t really cologne, it was more like fresh soap and leather. It all engulfed me at once and suddenly, my thighs clenched. “Asha is just a whore who I get cozy with every now and then.”

I shrugged, trying to brush off what an idiot I just made myself look like before gazing up at him again. Shit, he was more beautiful up close. This was bad. His perfect square profile, a jaw that could cut stone. High cheekbones, and tattoos imprinted into his golden flesh. His hair was long enough on the top to run my fingers through while being a little close cut to the scalp on the sides. I tilted my head, running my eyes over the tattoos that are on his face, and before I could stop myself, my hand was reaching for the upside down cross that sat under his eye. He tensed just as my fingertip felt the bristles of his scalp and my eyes shot to his.

  “Sorry.”

He swallowed, and then the corner of his mouth tipped up slightly, the lights from the clubhouse casting shadows over his features. “Ever fucked a psychopath?” My eyes remained on his in challenge. At first, I wasn’t sure whether he was kidding, or if he was serious. He was a psychopath? For some reason, even though I was fully aware some men joked about being a ‘psycho’ to make them seem more appealing to the naïve. To give off the unattainable vibe, and basically, just to add to their wannabe ‘bad boy’ charm. I didn't think that’s why he had said that. I believed him. There was an emptiness that bathed on the surface of his eyes, one that only certain people could collect. Could he see mine? Could he see the depth of my shallow pit of hell too? No demons here, just myself, and I’m far more terrifying than any demon.

“I don’t know,” I countered, cocking my head. “Have you?” I was bluffing, I’m nowhere near a psychopath or even a sociopath, I’ve just been trained. I’m manmade, not born this way. A low growl escaped his mouth and then his arm wrapped around my waist as he pulled me into him. I hooked my arms around his neck, the feeling almost natural. His hand came up to the back of my neck, his other dropping to my butt. He pushed me in closer until I felt his bulge press against me. Closing my eyes, I let the lust sink into my bones. The feeling he’s giving me descend in, and then his soft lips touched mine, and I opened. His tongue slipped into my mouth. It started a little slow, and then suddenly everything he had to offer became everything I needed, and everything I needed right this second. He growled again, and the vibration shook over my mouth as my head tilted to the side, giving him more access. He picked me up and my legs wrapped around his waist. I was doing this. Shit. I knew right then and there that once we hit that room, I’d be stripping all of myself for him. In this moment, I had never wanted anyone or anything in my entire life.

  “My room.”

He started guiding us toward the clubhouse, passing whoever was in there with me still on him, my legs still wrapped around his waist, and his hands still firmly gripped on my ass. Taking the steps two at a time, he pushed through my bedroom door and tossed me onto my bed.

My hair fanned out over the mattress and he laid down on top of me, his heavy body pushing mine into the mattress. Using his leg, he opened mine wider as the palm of his hand skimmed up my top. I leaned up on my elbows and took it off in a hurry before gripping onto the bottom of his and tore it off. He paused, and I took this time to savor every single inch of him. His defined muscles, and the deep V that dipped under his jeans, before slowly bringing my eyes back up to his. His mouth kicked up obsoletely, his eyes darkening before he hooked his finger under the rim of my lace panties and ripped them off. Bringing them to his nose, his eyes stayed on mine as he inhaled. His eyes narrowed, and then he dropped them, tucking them into the back of his jeans.

“Condom!” I breathed out because that’s what I saw in every movie where they were about to have sex.

  “That comes last.”

“—Oh really?” I smiled, just as his head dipped and his mouth found my— He worked me over slowly, pressing his tongue against my clit with every thrust, then his finger slipped inside of me as he massaged the tip against me. I start contracting with every pulse, with every thrust and every touch.

“Shit!” I groaned, turning my head to the side. “Frost.” I let out a soft whimper as my orgasm rushed through me, poss
essing every fiber of my being. He crawled back up my body, little colorful dots dancing in the darkness as I jolted back down. Bringing his mouth to mine, he pushed down his pants and put a condom wrapper between his teeth before pulling his jeans down lower until his cock sprung free. Out of pure curiosity, my hand flew out to his, halting his movements. I wriggled down lower until I was face-on with his cock. Sucking him into my mouth, I flicked my tongue around his smooth tip, molding it around his length. His hand found my hair and he gripped it, tugging it backward until his cock sat on my bottom lip. He cocked his head, keeping his eyes on mine and my tummy flipped upside and spun around again. God, the man was pure sex in human form.

“Why do I feel as though you’re sizing me up,” I asked, as he tugged me back up the bed, then he gripped onto my hips and flipped me onto my belly. There was a slight pause, and I’m totally bluffing this entire scene, hoping he won’t know that I’m a virgin. Surely not, right? I held my breath and crossed my fingers.

I felt the tip of him press to my opening as he bit down on my shoulder, his chest resting on my back.

“Because I was.” Then he slowly sunk deep inside of me before thrusting in harshly.

“Fuck!” I screamed out, then realized what I had done and bit onto the sheet on the bed. It stung. Like, fucking stung so bad. It felt as though a thousand razor blades had cut through my fucking ovaries. He chuckled from on top of me, his chest vibrating and shaking against my back.

“What?” I snapped and then noticed how the pain was slowly subsiding.

“Nah, nothing. Just, it’s funny that you assumed I wouldn’t know you were a virgin.”

“Wait…” I paused, and he drew himself out slowly. I winced from the friction, but when he pushed into me again, I could feel the pain, slowly started to disappear. At least, it was at a point I could handle. “You knew?”
