The trip was finally coming to an end, and the three friends knew that they would miss each other very much. They’d all had their best vacation ever, and they planned to do it again in the near future. Mia made sure that she took Whitney and Shirley's contact details, and she was glad that, as the vacation came to an end, Whitney had already forgotten about the hurt that her boyfriend had inflicted on her and was now ready to move on. As for her, she knew that she was just going to have to deal with her husband. The good thing was that she knew that her sexual desires were well taken care of, which meant that dealing with him would not be such a difficult experience.
“Well, I guess this is it,” she said to Whitney and Shirley as they carried their bags off the cruise ship, tears forming in her eyes.
“I guess so, and I don’t really know how I will ever thank you for being on this trip, because you are the one that made everything happen for us,” Whitney said.
“No, you don’t have to thank me, just promise me that the next time that you guys are going on vacation, you will give me a call in advance so that I can also plan.”
THE END
Love for Water
Description
Grace was a kind lady with so much power and strength; she became powerful without knowing where the power came from, she loves sitting near the river almost every time she is free. She used her power to save the people in her village when they were attacked by a bandit that had heard about Grace and wanted to kill her. She fell in love with a mermaid of the river she usually sits, the mermaid also loved her and started living on earth because of Grace to be with her. Could things ever work out between them when grace family realize she is a mermaid? Would Grace ever find out the source of her power?
Chapter 1
Grace lived in a beautiful island, she loved to sit beside the river because of her love for water, Grace was in a large open green field with her little sister Mayer, winter flowers of various colors are growing near the river with gently flowing oceanic water. Grace sits on a stump near the river holding a makeshift basket with orange and pink flowers. Mayer runs around the field and stops often to pick up more flowers. Mayer then ran towards Grace and gave her the rest of the flowers she just collected to put in her basket.
"Don’t you think you have enough Mayer?" Grace said as she patted Mayer on her head
She looked up at Grace. "I got you something, Grace. Close your eyes."
Grace closed her eyes as she felt something soft tickling her nose with a beautiful aroma coming from it. Opening her eyes, Grace saw a beautiful blue and white flower touching her nose and that Mayer was holding it with both eyes closed and her head down not realizing its touching her nose. Grace with a faint smile on her face grabbed the flower, picked Mayer up and hold her head level.
"It’s beautiful Mayer. Is it for me?" Grace asked
"Yes, I wanted to thank you for always taking care of the family and for always helping us out, not just Mommy and Daddy but the whole family. I know you’re leaving for a long trip soon to get educated and I don’t know when you will be back, so I wanted to get you this flower to remember us." Mayer said trying to hide her sadness with a weak smile on her face.
"Don’t worry Amy, I will always come back during vacation, I’m not leaving forever," Grace said as she took the flower and put it behind Mayer's left ear.
"Grace … When Mayer becomes an adult, can she be like grace? Mayer promised to get big and strong like Grace."
Grace put Mayer on the ground, knelt down in front of her and rubbed her head gently. "We shall see Mayer; just try growing big and strong first before thinking of becoming a person like me ok?"
Mayer smiles at the response and does a small spin with the blue flower still behind her ear. The sound of a bell chiming from the direction of the village catches Grace’s attention as she quickly looks towards the village. Grace knows full well what that sounds means; an enemy is on its way or already attacking the village. It had to be when Grace was outside the village armed with only a dagger.
"Grace... what’s going on? Doesn’t that bell mean it’s dangerous in the village and that we should hide?" Mayer asked
Grace walked towards the river and held her hand out as water rises from the river forms around her hand. The water starts spinning rapidly above her hand and then suddenly disappears with Grace now holding a face mask from where the water had just disappeared. Iron gray on the bottom of the mask where the nose and cheeks will be with black glass looking visors covering the eyes, all the way up to where the forehead will be. Grace looks at the mask, cracks, and rust clearly visible and even the visor was perfect and not missing pieces. Grace was shock to have that in her hand from nowhere, and she smiles when she realized that could be a gift from the water.
"Mayer, I need to get you somewhere safe. Everything will be ok. I promise." Grace said
Grace took Mayer's hand as they started running down to a nearby hill reaching a small bridge to cross the river. After crossing the river, Grace picked up Mayer and holds her tightly, she kneels on one knee. “Time-Step”. Light begins to form underneath her which resembles the face of a grandfather clock appears and both hands of the clock spin counter clock-wise. Upon both hands pointing at twelve, a light bell chiming was heard, and Grace vanishes with the grass she was standing on starts scattering and falls back down on the floor. At a nearby farm, a young lady with red hair down to her waist and with bangs covering her left eye was seen in a cow field with a white long sleeve shirt and blue overalls walk towards the cows holding a bucket. A cool breeze of wind rushes pass her, revealing both her emerald green eyes as she closes her eyes at the sudden gust of wind. The young lady who is only twenty-two years of age turns around and saw Grace standing behind her with Mayer still in her arms. Morning green eyes, it’s been a while. Grace turn around and look directly into the lady’s eyes before she lower her eyes and look slightly to the side. With the wind blowing gently, the grass swaying side to side with light snow touching the ground.
"You are so beautiful! What is your name?" Mayer asked
“My name is Lisa; what is your own name?” The pretty lady asked
“My mane is Mayer” Mayer responded. Mayer ran towards the lady as soon as she was placed down, and hugged her leg and Lisa placed her hand on top of her head."Hello there Mayer."
“Your village is under attack; go now Grace, I will protect your sister Mayer. I will bring her to the field once the battle is over” Lisa said as she made Grace disappear at the snap of her finger and that entirely trill Mayer.
Grace fell onto her knee's right around the corner of a building, panting and she was looking around the corner of the building only to see an injured faith with arrows pinning her hands to the ground and an Archer standing over Anna with his bow drawn back.
"Shit... come one, just a little more." The Archer said
Water surrounds Grace and swirls around her before disappearing, and Grace had changed from her clothing to her iron-gray armor with blue accents and her cape.
"Come on… Just one more push." Grace said, and a faint light starts to appear underneath Grace, and the face of the clock appears. The light starts fading in and out but the hands still spinning counter clock-wise.
"I have heard of one Grace that usually protects this village, we are here for her and if she fails to come and save you now, I will kill you. SHOW ME THAT DISGRACEFUL FACE OF YOURS. GRACE!!!”
A faint chime was heard, and Grace rushed towards the archer as soon as he was about to releases the arrow and ran towards Anna at full speed. Grace only manages to make it halfway towards faith and “Time-Step” slowly loses its power as Grace had reached zero manes. “Thinking quickly”, Grace grabbed the dagger which was now on her belt and tossed it toward the archer just as Time-Step runs out but the archer just barely dodged it. Grace continues rushing towards the archer despite her body screaming for rest and sends an onslaught of swift strikes from her blade along with punch
es and kicks. Even though she can’t move as fast as she normally can, she should still be able to move faster than normal people but with the wind blowing against her every move causing her to be much slower. Grace took a few steps back when the archer fired arrows at her but stopped once she knows that if she jumps to avoid the next arrow, it will hit Faith between the eyes.
Grace catches the arrow mid-flight and breaks it in her hands with a sour expression forming on Grace’s face, looking at the archer with bloodshot eyes. Grace turns around, and knee’s down towards the wounded Faith and reaches behind her belt into a small item bag she keeps behind her. Grace pulled out a small bottle with a cyan color liquid inside the bottle with blue and green particles escaping from the bottle and popped the cork off. Grace knee’s down in front of faith and lifts her head slowly.
"Here, drink up. You’ve done all you could. I'll take it from here." Grace said
“G-Grace?” Faith with barely any strength left gave a faint smile before looking down at the bottle and shakes her head. “T-that is the only bottle you have… Y-you shouldn’t u-use it on m-me”
“Just drink it, Faith,” Grace said
Grace placed the opening of the bottle on faith’s lips and slowly poured it inside her mouth. The cyan liquid inside the bottle is a mixture of the green healing potion and a blue stamina potion. It will recover both your stamina and heal you a good amount. However, it doesn’t heal you nor fill your stamina up as much as a regular bottle dose because it’s a mixture of both meaning fewer powers, but it still comes in handy. It saves space in your bag making them pretty good to buy, but they are also expensive so not a lot of people have them. Once Faith finishes drinking the bottle, Grace tosses the bottle away and turns around facing the Archer.
“I’ll free you once I take care of this guy. Hold on for a while longer until I’m done here. Ok?” Grace said
Grace faced Faith and gave a heartwarming smile to which faith nods slightly forming a smile of her own. “I believe in you.” faith said
Grace grabbed the katana lying next to him and turned around to face the Archer once more. Looking closely at the katana, Faith could see it’s old with visible rust on the blade. Just a few swings at most is all the katana has before it break on Grace so she will need to end it fast.
"I've seen your face before. Raphael the Archer." Grace said
"So you heard of me? I’m touched. So why are you keeping me from my prey? If you know of me, then you must know what I’m capable of?" The Archer said
"I do know. I also know you cannot beat me." Grace said
Grace stopped and lifted her Katana straight towards Raphael.
"I can’t beat you? Well, we shall see about that." Raphael said
Raphael reached behind his back and pulled three arrows out of his quiver and draw the string back with all three arrows on it. Snow starts getting heavier, and the sky turns a dark gray with the wind starting to pick up and blows a bit faster. Shit... I've used up too much Mane; “I can’t even use my water element right now.” “I'll have to hold off until I can recover just enough Mane to break the bowstring,” Grace told herself and placed both hands on her rusted Katana and holds it in front of her. The wind begins to form around all three arrows. Grace can tell just by looking at Raphael’s face that he is focusing his shots on her and not Faith. The provoked Grace had used worked in her favor, but now the question is, can Grace really beat Raphael? Raphael lets loose of the bowstring, and the arrows are then sent flying at high speeds towards Grace. Grace dashed forward as soon as the string was released and ducks low onto the ground as one arrow grazed her shoulder pad and the others miss completely. Grace placed one hand on the ground and swigged her left leg going in for a sweep. Raphael jumped up and does a back-flip as he pulled an arrow out of his quiver again and began to place it on his bow, Grace rushes forward and swigs her Katana upward and manage to cut off the arrowhead before Raphael could place the arrow on the string. "Now!”
Chapter 2
Grace went in for a tackle, dropping her katana and grabbed hold of Raphael and his bow. Water begins to form around the bowstring and with the little bit of Mane Grace had recovered; she used it to cut the string making the bow unusable. Raphael managed to shake Grace off him and kicked her off before reaching back behind her quiver and pulled out a dagger with a seven-inch blade along with an arrow. Raphael rushed forward and swigged the dagger only for Grace to block it with her Katana. With the sudden clash, half of the Katana breaks off and begins to fall toward the ground. Raphael with his dagger still being blocked from what’s left of the Katana clutched the arrow and stabbed Grace through her arm that isn’t protected by her armor with the tip of the arrow coming out of the other end.
Dropping the Katana, Grace grabbed the blade that is falling towards the ground with her hands cutting her fingers slightly and with the dagger now free, Raphael thrust the dagger into Grace's ribcage, but it only makes contact with her armor causing the blade to break. Raphael stumbled forward once the dagger breaks and looked up at Grace with his eyes full of hate. Attempting to regain his balance, Raphael tries to swing what’s left of the dagger around and attempts to hit Grace in her neck. Grace leaned her head back making the dagger only scratch part of her chainmail that protects the neck.
"This is for all the pain you caused her," Grace said
Grace gripped the blade of the katana in her hand with blood dripping from her fingers and thrust the blade up into Raphael’s chin and his skull. Blood started coming out from Raphael’s eyes, nose, and mouth and his body start going limp causing him to lets go of the arrow and dagger and fall on the ground. His body twitches slightly before it stops moving completely finally indicating he had died with the end of the katana sticking out from under his chin. Grace broke the arrow in her arm and pulls it out and throws it on Raphael’s corps and spits in his direction. “That isn’t even close to what I would like to have done to you for hurting her.” With Raphael finally taken care of, Grace turned around and walk toward Faith who is still pinned to the ground. Grace grabbed what is left of her katana and walks toward Faith and stood over her. Faith gave off a small sniff and gave Grace the biggest smile she had ever seen, despite the tears running down her face.
“Thank you.” Faith said
Grace used what’s left of the blade to cut the shaft of the two arrows that keep Faith pinned to the ground and the arrow in her calves which are binding her legs together. The shaft of the arrows are made of steel and inside the fletching are small steel bars what will prevent someone from pulling the arrow out because the thin iron bars will hit parallel to the wound. As soon as all three arrows are broken, the katana finally breaks completely down to its guard, with its final job now completed. Grace had intentionally let the blade break to save what’s left of the katana knowing it will only be strong enough to break the arrows, so she broke it to use the top half and save the rest for the arrows pinning Faith down. Grace slowly lifted Faith’s hands from the broken arrows and pulled the broken arrow out from her calves with blood slowly dripping from the open wounds.
“The potion should be healing that up soon.” Grace said
Grace reached back inside her item pouch and took out some gauze he kept for patching up open wounds and wraps Faith’s hands, calves, and stomach. Grace can see part of an arrow going into Faith’s forearm but the end of the arrow had already been broken off, and the tip of the arrow is still intact. Grace look at Faith with Faith looking down at her arm before looking back at Grace and gave a small nod. She knows what Grace has to do to take the arrow out and wraps up a piece of cloth up, sticking it inside her mouth. Grace grabbed her dagger and cleaned all the dirt off it before placing the tip of the blade two inches above the arrowhead. Grace slides the blade inside her arm and cut down her arm until the blade brushing against the arrowhead. Faith filched from the pain but kept her arm from moving as to not disturb Grace’s precision cutting. Grace now pinched Faith’s skin to move the arrow around unti
l the head of it came out from the wound Grace had made and pulled the arrow out completely and wrapped her arm and elbow up.
Faith turned her back towards Grace and lifted her shirt up to show two more arrow wounds with the arrows still inside her body as well. Grace gave a small sigh and used her dagger to make the wounds slightly bigger so she can stick her fingers inside the wounds and pull both arrows out safely from her shoulder and lower right back. Most people shiver from the idea of needing to place one's fingers inside a wound for any reason, but for Grace, she had needed to so such things on herself if she wanted to survive from her injuries when she was younger. “It feels no different from quartering your game, except that the person is still moving were as your game is dead.” Grace placed small pouches on the wounds to let the potion heal what’s left of her wounds now. Faith removed the cloth from her mouth and whipped her eyes from the tears she had let out from the pain she tried enduring to take the arrows out.
“You have to go, Grace. The more time you waste on healing me, the more time the bandits have to raid our villages.” Faith said
“Taking care of you was my first priority. You are in no shape to fight so go hide at the chapel over there and don’t come out until I come to get you.” Grace said
Faith turned around to look at the chapel behind her, then turned back around and look down at her hand still dripping blood from the wound she had gotten from holding the broken blade of the katana. Faith grabbed Grace's wounded hand and bringing it up to her face and slowly starts licking it. Faith put her hand back down and look up at Grace once again.
