The way we fit together and share the same interest, life goals, and pleasure is undeniable; he belongs to me as I belong to him.

“That’s not how I had our wedding day in mind when I planned all of it,” I grumble.

Harper chuckles and slaps me on the chest. “Oh, shut it. We all planned it. Not just you. And things like this you can’t really plan. She wasn’t due for another two weeks. Be glad we all said yes before she went into labor.”

I reluctantly pop a few more buttons of the white button-up dress shirt I’m wearing, glad I didn’t wear a full suit, just black slacks and white shirt along with my cut. It’s our wedding day today, and when we started planning a few months back, Peyton and Angie swooned and raved about flowers, wedding dresses, cake, and every-fucking-thing. All of this led to Hunt and Alaric popping the question too. Three weddings in one day. Insane, but doable because our three old ladies have grown close.

There would have been a large party later tonight, but the festivities have been put on hold because Peyton’s water broke. Now we’re all in the hospital waiting for Hunt to tell us the news that his son is born healthy and Peyton is all okay.

Kinda special since Hunt is not only my VP and brother, but as of today, he’s also my brother-in-law. Meaning I’m also becoming an uncle. I mentioned the women have grown close, but the club has also been revived ever since these women came into our lives. The door opens and all of us stand. Hunt appears with a bundle wrapped in his thick, muscled arms. He isn’t looking at us; he’s staring at the new life he’s holding.

We gather around. When I get a glimpse, the likeness is quite shocking. “Fuck. He looks just like you,” I mutter.

Hunt chuckles. Alaric and a few of my other brothers join in. Angie and Harper gush over how sweet and tiny the wrinkly mini version of Hunt is, and I love seeing the smile and joy spreading over my woman’s face.

With my fucked-up childhood and father, I never thought for one moment I’d ever want to be a father myself, but when I look at my woman, I know our future might be shared with children in our midst. May it be by giving birth or by opening our arms and home to a kid who needs a solid home to grow up in. Who knows what will come our way?

Hunt clears his throat. “Guys, meet Atlas.”

“Strong name for the little dude,” Alaric declares.

We take our time to admire Atlas before Hunt returns to Peyton. We decide to give them the space they need and head back to the clubhouse. Having my woman on the back of my bike is amazing, but we had to take the van because our old ladies were still wearing their wedding dresses when Peyton went into labor. Once we park out front, the door swings open and the new prospect stumbles out.

“Thank fuck you’re back. Boy is driving me crazy with his whining,” Joey, the new prospect complains.

Boy runs toward us. Harper bends down and gives him some attention as she mutters, “Did you have fun driving him nuts? You know that’s bad, right? How can we find a good babysitter for you if you keep driving the new prospects crazy?”

“Boy,” Alaric snaps, and our dog rushes toward my president.

That’s right, even the dog knows who’s in charge. Well, maybe not completely when it comes to Boy because Alaric might be harsh with his commands, but he’s on his knees scratching behind Boy’s ears as the dog groans in contentment. Yeah, all of us share the dog so he’s never alone. He’s a perfect fit, and it allows us some freedom to come and go as we please since someone is always around.

“Come on,” I whisper in Harper’s ear. “The baby and your sister are okay, and we have the whole night ahead of us. Our wedding night.”

She laces her fingers with mine, and we rush straight through the clubhouse and head for our house. Maybe one day we’ll buy another house, something bigger to fit our dreams. But for now we’re still content with the place we’re living in. She giggles when I scoop her up and carry her over the threshold and put her on her feet once we’re inside.

I close the door behind us and hear Harper from behind me as her arms wrap around my waist. “Atlas was so stinking cute, wasn’t he?”

I turn in her arms and take her head in my hands so I can see her reaction when I say, “He was. And did seeing him infect you with the baby virus?”

Her eyebrows scrunch up adorably. “Baby virus? It’s a hospital, silly. I’m sure they disinfect…. Oh, you mean if I would want one of our own now?”

I give her a tight nod.

“I don’t know, I never thought about it. Maybe. We still have a lot of time ahead of us. I have an IUD. It’s… wow. Where did that thought come from? Did you get infected with it?” The corner of her mouth twitches.

“Maybe I did when I saw the way your whole face lit up at seeing Atlas.” I shrug.

She gives me a goofy grin. “I’m sure I would also swoon over a bunch of puppies, but it doesn’t mean I would like to take them all home. Like I said, we still have time.”

“Someday,” I whisper against her lips.

“Someday,” she murmurs back. “Or we could adopt. There are so many kids out there who need a home and loving arms. I know how hard adoption is, but—”

“No, you’re right,” I croak, my throat clogging up with emotion. “The same thing went through my mind when I saw your face at the hospital. You’re right. Someday soon we’ll figure it all out.”

“You do realize you just casually added the soon part, right?” she says in a fake scolding tone.

“I was kinda hoping you wouldn’t notice.” I shrug, and it makes her chuckle before she connects our mouths.

I close my eyes and relish in the soft touch of her lips. My hands slide down her body, and I grab hold of her hips to pull her against me. I’m about to come up for air, so I can make some room to rip off her clothes, but someone is knocking on the door.

“Who the hell comes knocking at a time like this?” I grumble. “Everyone knows we just got married.” I stalk to the door and swing it open. “This better be good,” I rumble.

My eyes widen as I hear Harper squeal behind me. “Stone! You made it.”

She rushes into her brother’s arms, and he hugs her tight.

Placing a kiss on the top of her head, he murmurs, “I missed you, kiddo.”

She pushes at his chest and pouts. “I’m not a freaking kiddo.”

Stone snickers, but he sobers up quickly. His voice is loaded with emotion when he says, “I’m sorry it took me so long to get here. I had to handle a few things, and then shit got insane with the club and there was too much heat and risks to come visit you guys. But I’m here now, even if I missed the wedding. I just came from the hospital, though. Fuck. What a cute little devil Peyton brought into this world, huh?”

“Right?” Harper gushes. “He’s so stinking cute.”

“Come on in, man,” I tell Stone, because he’s still standing outside.

He strolls in, and I close the door behind him. Harper leads him to the couch. “Do you want a beer, coffee, anything?”

“I could use a beer. Alaric offered me and four of my brothers a room for the night. Seems there’s quite a party tonight, and we’re invited.” Stone shoots his sister a wink, and I head for the kitchen to make some coffee for Harper and grab beers for me and Stone. When I’m done, I stroll back and hold up a beer for Stone to take and place Harper’s coffee in front of her.

Stone glances at the coffee and back at Harper. “No beer for you?”

“I can’t and won’t.” Harper’s eyes go down, and I hate it when she gets ashamed of shit that happened that wasn’t even her damn fault in the first place.

“She hates everything that taints her brain,” I simply say and take a seat across from them.

Stone nods, regret washing over his face. Fuck. These two haven’t had the time to meet face-to-face ever since Harper was kidnapped by Alejandro.

“I didn’t know, sis. I’m so fucking sorry about everythin
g that happened to you,” Stone croaks, emotion ripping through his voice.

Harper places her hand on his knee. “It’s in the past, Stone. If all we do is look back, you will always collide and get hurt at every turn. That’s why it’s called a big bright future; you can see what you want and move forward. New things where we don’t dwell on regrets or the baggage you carry with you. Hell, look at where my ass landed after all of this. I’m happy, Stone. Linc makes me happy. We have a dog and so many friends in this MC who have welcomed me with open arms. Our sister lives nearby, and I see her almost every day. And I even dare to share the fact me and Linc were just discussing kids in our future, right before you came knocking on our door. See? Possibilities and being thankful for everything you have around you that makes you happy is what counts, Stone. Let it go. I have.”

Stone’s head swings my way. “Thanks, man. Not only for being there for my sister without even knowing who she was back then, but now being her whole future. I can’t imagine anyone more suitable for her than you. The things you did and what you mean to her. Yeah, words lack, man, but your actions are golden. If there’s anything you need in the future, let me know. I owe you more than one.”

“We’re even, Stone,” I tell him and hold out my beer; he bumps his against mine. “Remember, I married her, right? I’m the luckiest man alive.”

Stone shakes his head. “I still don’t get the whole old lady shit. I’ve seen it with your president, your VP and my sister, and now my other sister. It does make me curious. Though the life I lead? I can’t drag a woman into it. And if I did, she would have to be tough as nails.”

“Who knows?” Harper muses as she sips her coffee. “Maybe you haven’t met the right one yet. Maybe she’ll kick your ass and drag you home by your dick.”

The beer is coming from Stone’s nose as he rubs a hand over his face. “Dammit, Harper, you and your fucking mouth,” he grumbles, but I hear the laughter in his voice and the soft look in his eyes.

He’s seeing the same thing I am. The strong and fully healed woman who grabbed hold and took her life back and dares to live it to the fullest. I’m so fucking proud she’s my old lady, my wife, and my future.

  Twenty-four years later

  ~ H A R P E R ~

“I don’t know, Molly. Your brother said he didn’t want you to go.” I sigh, feeling like someone who’s stuck in the middle in all of this and seriously rethinking the whole parenting gig.

It’s not a gig, I know. Believe me, I know. But the worry starts the day they are born, and it only seems to grow with each year they add to their life. Who knew looking at that little bundle of joy I squeezed out of me almost twenty years ago would turn out this gorgeous and yet so freaking feisty?

Oh, and they don’t have to come from your womb to give you heartburn due to all the worry thrown your way. Nope. Before Molly was born we were graced with the adoption of Declan. He was eight years old at the time and more than a handful. But it only lasted a few weeks before he opened up and turned into a sweet boy who found his place.

He’s not the sweet little boy he was back then anymore. Well, he is to me because he’s still a momma’s boy—his whispered words, not mine. But for the outside world, he’s rough and one mountain of a man. As soon as he was allowed, he became a prospect. Now, at the age of twenty-nine, he’s the new enforcer of Rebel Rage MC, stepping into the footsteps of his father, so to say.

This is also why I’m having a discussion with Molly. There’s a party tonight at the clubhouse. We’re all going, but Declan decided he didn’t want Molly to come. And this is where it gets interesting. Recently there was a transfer from another chapter, and this biker is a bit of a player. He’s set his eyes on Molly, and Declan is being protective.

I’ve noticed this biker checking Molly out, and so has Linc. I have to give the man some credit because he dismisses every hang-around offering herself to him and only has eyes for our Molly. Linc is taking sides with Declan, though. It kinda makes me want to rebel, and I think I know how.

“I could text Angie, have her ask Felix if you could come. That will overwrite Declan’s demand,” I tell her, a grin spreading across my face.

“Yes!” Molly says, her voice and body filled with excitement.

Felix is Angie and Alaric’s son who is now the president of Rebel Rage MC. Atlas, Hunt and Peyton’s son, is the VP. There’s a whole new generation, and when I think about it, it makes me feel very old, but it also fills my chest with pride.

Where the boys are fully invested in the club, Molly and Raven both took over my company. They are best friends and have been working with me for quite some years, first as kids making bracelets with beads, but they quickly became serious and earned their way into the company.

In all the years we spend building up this family, they’ve now taken over the solid foundation of friendship and brotherhood. All of us oldies still attend some of the parties, but as of the beginning of this year, we took a step down and the guys gave them full reign.

But playing dirty every now and then never hurt anyone. Felix is like Declan—a momma’s boy. He’ll honor Angie’s request for sure. And like I said, I’ve seen how these two look at each other, and in my opinion, their chemistry is undeniable.

Now all I need to do is convince Linc we can’t go to the party tonight, and we’ll be all set. Because Molly won’t get a chance to so much as talk to her crush if her father is hovering over her at every turn. Felix will handle Declan, and I’ve just put things in motion by hitting send on my text to Angie. She instantly replies back, and as old ladies, we always stick together.

“You’re all set, sweetie,” I tell Molly and add in a warning tone, “No tits or ass on show, and no sex in public places. Yikes. I don’t want to know about the sex part. But always make sure the dude is wrapped-up when you do…. Have fun, but not too much fun.” I cringe even more than my daughter.

“Mooooom,” she winces and heads off to go home and change. She has a party to get ready for.

Now I’m heading for Linc who’s in the garage attached to the house we bought twenty-two years ago. It’s three doors down from Peyton and Hunt’s house, and when it came on the market, there wasn’t really anything to think about. It was the perfect home for our family.

Boy loved the large garden and enjoyed it for many years until he passed away fourteen years ago. I will never forget him. Some might say he was just a dog, but for me he was a good friend who was there for me many times when I needed him the most. He gave me laughs, tears, and everything in between. When we lost him due to a bad heart, all I could do was cry. But as time passed, I could remember him with a bright smile on my face. I loved him so much. We all did.

With the house now empty, I stroll over to the garage and find Linc on his back, lying on the ground as he’s working on an old truck. He loves buying old vehicles and fixing them up to sell. It keeps his hands busy, and to see him create something from scrap and turn it into something shiny and almost new is amazing.

He hasn’t noticed me yet, so I step over him to surprise him with a blowjob, except the surprise is blown when he rumbles, “What are you doing, Apple?”

Darn. The use of the nickname he gave me all those years ago still makes my belly flop each time I hear it.

“I thought I’d surprise you,” I tell him, my voice husky.

His body moves out from under the truck, and he glances up at me, one of his eyebrows raised in question. “And the reason would be?”

“Why do I have to have a reason?” I drop down on my knees and straddle him. “I thought we could skip the party and stay home, have some fun together for old time’s sake.”

Suspicion slides over his face, but he tries to school it. “For old time’s sake, huh?” Mischief dances in his eyes when he says, “And it has nothing to do with the text I just received from Declan, complaining about Molly being allowed to come to the party?”

  “Oh, she’s allowed to go?
” I fake my surprise while my fingers work to unbuckle his belt as I stroke him through his jeans.

Linc growls low in his throat and hoists me up to easily spin me around so we’re in a 69 position. Gosh, I love how he’s able to do that, all fierce and strong as if we’re still the young couple we once were. In all these years, our connection has only grown stronger.

He raises his hips to allow me the room I need to pull his jeans and underwear down, making his hard length bob in front of my face. My mouth waters with the need to pleasure him, but my attention is ripped away when Linc slides my summer dress up and yanks my thong to shreds, instantly piercing my pussy with his tongue.

“Linc,” I gasp and quickly moan from pleasure while his chuckle vibrates against me.

Payback time. My fingers wrap around his hard length, and I slide him into my mouth to take him deep as I swallow around the tip. The curses muttered against my pussy are all the proof I need that payback is the sweetest of things.

His teeth grazing my bundle of nerves, makes the bobbing of my head slightly falter, but the way we both give and take pleasure is a sweet balance neither of us are able to resist for long.

I squeeze my fingers while I move up and down with a gentle twist, teasing with my tongue underneath the head of his dick. All of it guarantees Linc won’t last long. Just as he knows how to use that skilled tongue of his to make me instantly explode.

My orgasm hits me at the same time as I feel his dick start to pulse. Our groans fill the garage as we find our release and experience the same euphoria we have been creating ever since we took our friendship to the next level.

They say everything in life happens for a reason. That might be, and it might be a load of crap. But what I do know for sure is that my life started the day I met Linc. He’s the one who showed me the reason to live, the reason to love, and the reason to take as much as is given in return.

Slumped, I crash on top of Linc, and he effortlessly turns me so I’m draped over his body. Even if we’re lying on this garage floor, we might as well be in a bed draped with golden chains and diamond studs. Because this is what Linc does to me; he gives me all and makes me feels as if I’m his most precious possession.
