Missy Goes to West Point

He was unable to breathe and tried to break her hold but she easily prevented him from doing that. As she continued crushing his throat he sank down onto his knees. He reached a hand inside his coat and she told him, “That better be a phone because if you pull out anything else, I’ll kill you.” She was pretty sure he was part of the gang that had come out here after her and Mike.

The guy slowly pulled out a phone and handed it to her.

While still holding him by the throat, she dialed the last number he’d called. She recognized Marco’s voice when he answered with a loud bark. “What the hell, Lorenzo? Where are they? It’s been almost ten minutes now since you said they were on their way up.”

“Lorenzo can’t come to the phone right now, Marco,” said Missy. “Do you want to tell me why you’re up there with my car? Who sent you?” She put the phone on speakerphone and slipped it into her pocket. Then she suddenly grabbed Lorenzo’s hair with her left hand and released his throat, freeing her right hand. She immediately used that to strike a blow behind the guy’s ear, hitting his carotid artery. He was out cold and she lowered him to the sidewalk.

“Oh, shit! You bitch, what have you done to Lorenzo?”

“He’s resting now. But you? I’m coming up there after you, Marco. Remember what I did to Ramon? Did Frank send you after me?” Ramon had given her a full body pat down, searching for weapons or a wire, before ushering her in to see Frank. That search had been very humiliating; after groping her between the legs he’d cupped her breasts and pinched her nipples. She’d really enjoyed kicking him in the jaw in Frank’s office a bit later on. Right after she’d kicked him in the groin. His jaw had been wired up for several weeks after that.

“Frank’s not around to call the shots anymore. I figured I’d do Ramon a favor. The four of us all doing you up here in front of your big boyfriend? That’ll help Ramon do his time inside. Every visiting day? We’ll show him the video, over and over.” By the way Marco’s voice was sounding along with the changing background noises, it was obvious he was moving around up there.

Missy knew it was time to get going. “Bye for now, Marco. I’ll be right up.” She hung up and went back in to see Mike. He had already called for the second elevator and had locked that one as well. Nobody up above would be using the elevators at this end of the garage. Missy grabbed his hand and they raced over to the stairway.

  Chapter Six

  Feb 2018

“Mike, these guys are all part of the same criminal organization that kidnapped Alice last year. I want you to call Robert Ulrey for me. His number is in my cell phone, which you have right there in my purse. He knows I’m a werecat and he’s with the government. Tell him where we are and that we may need Plan WP tonight.” She looked at him and could see all the thoughts racing behind his eyes and all the emotions he was struggling with. But, he nodded his head and she pulled him close and kissed him. “Please stay right here. If anyone gets past me, just let them go. We can deal with them later. Just be careful and don’t get hurt.”

Then she raced up the stairs to find her would be attackers. Her enhanced senses were all working at an even higher level. She’d also removed her earrings and put them in her pocket. Just in case. She knew she’d probably need to Change before this night was over. It really helped that she no longer needed to worry about anyone who might learn she was a werecat.

The Plan WP she and Robert had discussed was for disposition of anyone she needed taken care of. People she’d allow to live but only if they couldn’t stay around and be a threat for her, her family or her friends. Robert had explained his “P” Branch didn’t want her to be a vigilante and were willing to help. No more of her killing the bad guys. They’d force these people into witness protection and make it very clear that all their other options would be far worse. “P” Branch had the resources and could easily frame anyone as an informant and reveal evidence to their mob boss that proved it.

As she approached the fourth level, where her car was located, she could hear two of them. They were near the elevator, whispering. She paused and tried to sense if anyone was watching the stairway. She could scent three guys, none of them Marco. She needed to move fast and she did. The guy waiting at the top of the stairs was able to yell a warning but that was all. Her approach on bare feet had been silent and by the time he saw the blur of her movement towards him, it was too late for anything else. She dove right in front of him and then swept him off his feet with her legs. She was very experienced with maneuvers like this from all her karate and martial arts activities. He hit the ground hard and she was on him right away. Another sharp blow and he was out cold.

She turned to face the two guys at the elevator and noticed they were wearing ski masks, just like the guy she’d knocked out. Apparently, Marco’s plan had been to rape her, just as he’d said, but leave her and Mike alive. Maybe they were thinking it was less of a risk that any evidence would trace back to them. Murder investigations of two people might somehow get more attention than any complaints of their attack by a bunch of guys that couldn’t be identified.

Both guys were holding knives which sort of confirmed her suspicion. They still thought they could subdue her and weren’t pulling out any guns. Yet. These were big guys and had probably been more concerned about Mike than about her. In spite of all that had been written up in the media about her winning trophies in karate and martial arts, she still was only a girl in high school. Right?

She tried to sense where Marco might be but he wasn’t close enough, so she wasn’t sure. Not wanting to take a chance he might actually be sighting down on her with a gun, she decided to run from these two guys rather than expose herself. She quickly managed to elude them and race away, dodging in and out of cars, keeping to the darker areas as much as possible. The two guys followed behind and probably figured they were forcing her towards a place they wanted her to go. To Marco.

She wanted to go to Marco also; or, really, to at least identify where he was. She eventually located him, down by the other bank of elevators and near her car. She was so glad she and Mike hadn’t used that entrance into the garage and possibly been grabbed getting off those elevators. She’d have to be more careful and always check for scents before getting into any elevators in the future. Pausing to check again before stepping out of them would also be a good idea.

She let the two guys chasing her succeed in “herding” her towards Marco. One had a red ski mask and the other wore a black one. Then, seeing where some columns were blocking Marco from getting any clear shot at her, she suddenly jumped up onto the roof of one car and began leaping from roof to roof as she raced back towards one of the guys behind her, the guy with the red mask. When she got close enough, she dove, putting her hands on the roof of the car in front of him, and executed a perfect cartwheel, flipping right over his head and landing behind him.

The guy tried to slice her with his knife but her movements had completely surprised him and been much too fast. He tried to turn around to face her but she had already dropped down onto her hands and kicked back with both feet, hitting him hard and shoving him against one of the cars. Before he could recover, she kicked him again. Another guy who’d be using a straw to eat with for awhile until his broken jaw healed up. He was out cold.

The guy in the black mask had come charging over but was not even close. He stopped and yelled over to Marco, “That fucking bitch just took down Pedro! What the hell! I’m gonna kill her!” He reached into his jacket and pulled out a gun. But, this gave Missy enough time to escape. And, Missy had learned a thing or two about handling various weapons during all her karate training. She hadn’t reached second degree black belt without knowing how to handle a knife. She grabbed the one Pedro had dropped and dove behind a car before this guy could get a clear shot.

Marco’s voice called back, “Hector, just make sure she doesn’t get away! She knows who I am and I want her dead.”

Trying to distract the two of them, Missy called out, “Hey, Mar
co, what happened to your plan to just fuck me? Don’t you guys want a piece of me? Come and get me!” She was slipping between cars and was about halfway between them both now. Marco had been approaching from his position and she could see he was now holding a gun also. It was “shock and awe” time. Putting down the knife she took off all her clothes. Then she picked the knife back up and moved silently around towards Hector.

He had been closing in on her location but when she suddenly jumped up a little bit on his left, completely naked, it definitely caught him off guard. He was not fast enough to get a shot fired. Suddenly, there was a knife sticking out of his arm and he couldn’t even hold the gun; it dropped onto the ground as he yelled out in pain.

After throwing the knife, Missy had continued her charge straight at him. She was a blur and her kick was not blocked. Down he went, unconscious from the kick to the side of his head. She’d known exactly where to hit him with the heel of her foot. Since he was no longer feeling any pain from that knife, she figured she was doing him a favor. She hadn’t even broken his jaw.

Marco had glimpsed all this, of course, and was now ready for her. “Nice move, you slut, showing those tits like that. But, those won’t save you now. You wanna try to grab that knife, maybe? Go ahead … you feel lucky, bitch?” He was close enough now to have a clear shot at her if she indeed were to reach for that knife. And, she really didn’t have any clear escape routes where he couldn’t get a shot off. She was making the logical assumption that he indeed was a very good shot with that gun, since he’d been one of Frank’s bodyguards.

She had managed to get behind a car, where Marco wasn’t able to shoot her. But, in spite of her speed, she didn’t want to risk exposing herself any longer. Not as a human. She Shifted.

Marco saw the shimmer of light behind the car and could feel the strange energy pulse. What the hell? And then, some kind of animal was leaping over the car’s roof and landed right in front of him, letting out the most awful scream he’d ever heard. He tried to aim his gun which he’d been holding out in front of him, but this was unbelievable and couldn’t really be happening, could it? He fired off a round but then his wrist was being crushed by the animal’s jaws and he dropped the gun. A cougar was eating his arm!

Missy didn’t bite Marco’s arm off, in spite of how tempting that was. She just continued to hold his wrist with her jaws and dragged him away from the cars and into the middle of the driving lane where he couldn’t reach his gun or the one that Hector had dropped. She didn’t let him get up but just pulled on his arm whenever he attempted anything. After several hard yanks he got the message. Don’t move.

And then, they waited. Missy enjoyed being in her cat form, gnawing on Marco’s wrist. Her eyes were blazing and at any sign of his resistance, she would bite down and chew some more. Finally, after about twenty five minutes, she heard Robert on the stairs. He had another man with him and they came up and then out slowly and carefully, guns drawn.

Missy let go of Marco’s wrist and stepped on his chest, letting out a loud chuffing noise. Robert came around and saw her there. “Anyone else we need to watch out for, Missy?” When she shook her head side to side, he put away his gun. Bringing out a set of handcuffs he came up and stood there, staring at her. “Wow. If you’re not a sight to see, Missy! Hey, is it okay if I have Lester take a couple of photos? For our files … we don’t really get to take photos very often, you know?” He then dropped down and put the handcuffs on Marco, who winced and cried out in pain. Yes, that had to hurt, since Missy had torn up his wrist pretty badly. Tough.

When Lester stepped out, he first went over to where Pedro and Hector were lying and put handcuffs on them. He then injected them with a drug using a different syringe for each of them, so they’d not be waking up any time soon. “Any others, besides these two and the one back there by the stairs? We already got that guy out on the sidewalk.” He was studying her and it was obvious this was indeed his first time, face to face with a werecat. Missy shook her head side to side and he reached into a pocket and pulled out a camera. She preened, and proudly turned so her left side was facing the camera. Let them get some photos showing the scars on her shoulder and back. The photos her Mom had taken, which she had hanging in her room, didn’t show any of her scars.

Robert said, “Lester Goodding … Missy McCrea.” Looking at Missy he explained, “Les is up here from our main office in D.C. He and his wife have actually been the ones keeping track of you for our boss, Drew. Believe it or not, they’re both up here on vacation. Weekend after Valentine’s Day. There’s this play and … well … when I got Mike’s call, I was able to reach Les and Marsha at their hotel here in Boston and they came along with me. Les doesn’t actually carry a gun, normally, but I loaned him one of mine.”

Les spoke up, looking at Robert, and said, “Marsha’s down with Mike. Okay if I call them to come up now? Marsha’s going to want to see this … and, ah … meet Missy, of course.” Then he looked at Missy again, and couldn’t hide the way he kept checking her out. He pulled out his cell phone and dialed without even waiting for Robert to respond.

Marco, meanwhile, was finally regaining enough composure to sit up and, after wriggling a bit further away from Missy, he said, “You guys obviously know that animal is some kind of a witch, right? I mean, Missy is a witch, or something … right? And, you assholes have her running around …”

“Shut up, you idiot,” said Robert. “Missy is just your normal, everyday werecat, right Missy? If you and your buddies here had just left her alone, you never would have had any problems. From her, anyway. You’re lucky she called us this time. Remember Luis and Jose? Those other guys that Frank would sometimes get to do his dirty work?” Frank had kept Alice’s kidnapping a big secret but his association with Luis and Jose was well known.

Marco remembered those guys alright. And, how they’d supposedly been killed by some wild animal. He paled and tried to back even further away from Missy. Since he was still seated, it was difficult and Robert didn’t let him move very far. He reached out and put his hand on Marco’s shoulder to stop him. “You have no idea how lucky you are, Marco. You’re going to do a lot of talking to us. All about how things are in East Boston. First, about Frank McCarthy, and now I understand a guy named Carlos Mancini has taken over and is running things there. You’ve already been identified as one of his guys, so we want to hear all about him as well.”

Marco said, “I’m not giving you guys shit. I want a lawyer. You haven’t read me my rights yet. I know my rights. I want …”

“Les, you tell him. I’m sick of looking at him and I want to make sure Missy is really okay.” Robert went over to Missy and held out his hand, which she licked with her tongue. She sat down on her haunches and purred.

Lester looked at Missy and asked, “Did anyone else see you Change, Missy?” When she shook her head, side to side, he then told Marco, “You don’t have rights but you are lucky. Your buddies? They’ll all have to come forward and give testimony. But, they don’t know about Missy like you do. You? You’re never going to testify and you’ll never tell anyone about Missy. Understand? See, if you don’t behave? Instead of our witness protection, we’ll either lock you up in solitary or give you back to Carlos, with a lot of convincing evidence about what a great informant you’ve been.” Smiling, he then looked over at Missy. Then he looked at Marco again and added, “Unless Missy wants to have you. Then, we’ll just give you back to her.”

Missy had been enjoying the whole discussion and decided she could help reinforce things. She stood up and bared her fangs at Marco and growled. Then, for even more fun, she let go with one of her piercing cougar screams again. This caught everyone by surprise, including Mike and Marsha Goodding who had just entered down at the other end. They both stopped dead in their tracks, but then Robert started laughing and it made them relax. Mike was quick to come running up to Missy and sat down next to her, putting his arms around her and pulling her close. He’d adjusted to what she was an
d he loved her. He wanted to show her just how much and he didn’t know how else to do that. She seemed to really like this and began purring like crazy.

“Damn, will you just look at them? Marsha, come up here and meet Missy McCrea.” Lester knew he and his wife would both be remembering this meeting for the rest of their lives. Did Robert really tell Marco she was just your normal, everyday werecat? Marsha was going to get a big kick out of hearing that.

Missy stood on all fours and wriggled free from Mike but looked into his eyes. Then, she walked over to where she’d left her clothes. He followed right after her, figuring she must want him to do that and when he saw her clothes, he smiled. Then, he stooped down and picked them up. She went back to the group so he followed after her. She went up to Marsha and sat down on her haunches and raised her right paw. Everyone laughed as Marsha shook her paw and said, “Missy McCrea? So pleased to meet you!” Then she looked at Mike and asked, “Does she need some privacy now? To Change back? When will she be ready to do that?”

Mike answered, “Not yet, but she will. He looked at his watch and said, “Probably in another hour, hour and a half. You guys know about this, right? She needs at least two hours to recharge or recuperate or whatever it is before she can Shift again. It’s a huge drain of energy. At least, that’s how she explained it to me.”

Robert looked at his two colleagues and said, “Actually, no. We don’t know anything about that, Mike. None of us has ever seen anyone Change and the various descriptions we’ve heard about it have been very vague. We really don’t know all that much about werecats, in spite of how closely our Paranormal Branch has been trying to study them and follow their activities all around the world. Most don’t seem to get themselves into as much trouble as your Missy does.” With that, he laughed and the others all joined in. Missy made one of her loud chuffing noises and that set them off laughing even harder.
