War (Fallen Book 2)

by Caleb Zane

That part of the battle had surely started by now. Not that Kaiden could tell. The sounds of war surrounded him and made it tough to make out much more than that.

Using his magic, Kaiden wielded his fire sword and his fire mallet. Both hands held his own version of weapons of mass destruction.

It was then that he heard the first gunshot. The ear-piercing sound was unmistakable. Kaiden had dreaded this moment.

“Guns!” Vincent said. “Remember the plan.”

Kaiden knew it too well. This was one place where Ziva would help. They had carried a lot of water with them, and the water magic users quickly created a shield of dense water, almost ice, around them to protect them from the bullets. It wasn’t perfect, but it was better than nothing.

Moving as a unit, Kaiden started in the direction of Lilith and was instantly blocked by a towering demon who reminded Kaiden of the minotaur. It was ghastly and towered over them.

“You shall not pass,” the demon said.

Appearing next to Kaiden and the others were their angels.

“Try to stop us,” Muriel said. She was absolutely licking her chops, ready for a fight.

The demon laughed. “You don’t scare me.”

  “We should,” Dazielle purred.

The women angels struck in unison with blows so powerful the demon hunched over, yelping in pain. Then, Zaphkiel kneed the demon in the face.

They couldn’t kill the demon, but it was down for the count. That was just the start of the fight. Around them, bullets flew through the air, hitting both Kaiden’s people and Lilith’s.

The demon didn't like that. “Stop with the guns.”

They were helping Kaiden more than hurting. Kaiden laughed his ass off. Soon, they would start up fighting again, but for the moment, he was going to take it. The number of demons had been slashed down by a third because of the guns. Idiots.

Kaiden, Ziva, and Ai moved toward Lilith, but they had a large group of humans and demons to battle through. As a team, they fought hard, forming a triangle with Kaiden and his fire weapons at the front.

Every time a person attacked, Kaiden struck, and the human would drop to the ground, screaming in pain as the fire covered them. Kaiden didn't have to try hard.

Next to him, Ziva struck with her blade and her water. Her skills were amazing. She sent bolts of water to slow the people. When they neared despite her water, she would quickly stab them with her blade. None stood up to them.

Ai was just as impressed with her speed. She would dart out and back, punching and kicking, using her shorter blades against the people. Behind them was a trail of bodies.

The angels battled the fruitless conflict with the demons until the human was bonded with them dropped. As Kaiden looked back, he saw both his people and Lilith’s on the ground.

Both sides had taken casualties. That hurt, but they were willing.

Lilith was still on the roof of the building watching. She was too far for him to use his fire or Ziva to use her water. They needed to close the gap faster. The longer it took, the more strength they used.

Kaiden had his special ability, but he needed that for Lilith. He was going to distract her while Ziva and Ai took out Lincoln. Kaiden still had trouble with that part of the plan. While he accepted it, he still didn’t want to kill his friend.

A person lunged at Kaiden with a spear. Stepping to the right, Kaiden swung his mallet and sent the man flying, his body covered in flames. That was never going to get old.

Ziva took out another with her blade and Ai with her speed.

The gap was getting less and less, yet more and more people and demons appeared, streams of them. Lilith had constrained her people here rather than to stop the forces on the edge. That much was clear.

Kaiden was both annoyed and thankful of that. It meant Desiree didn’t face as many. The carnage happening here was nearly too much for Kaiden to handle. It wasn’t the gore of it, but the death, the waste of human life, and what that meant. Even so, Kaiden was adding to it.

Two men threw balls of fire at Kaiden. That was a waste of time. Kaiden used his own magic to dissipate the fire. Ai sprinted to them in a blur that only Kaiden could see. She smashed both their heads together into mush. It was gross, but they were gone, and two more demons disappeared.

“Fight all you want,” Lilith spewed. “You can’t kill me. I’ll be back anyway. Those peons in Kathill will level up.”

Kaiden smiled. He would prevent that. Lilith was powerful, but she believed her own hype too much. She didn’t think Kaiden was a threat, which made him even stronger. Everyone was scared of Lilith and wanted her gone, even Lindsey who had been concerned with how they would get to Hell.

The battle raged around Kaiden, and the guns started up again, laying waste to more and more people. Kaiden needed to end this.

“Lilith,” Kaiden said. “You and me. Let’s do this.”

“If you court death, so be it,” Lilith answered. “You are no match for me.”

Kaiden readied himself. They still weren’t close enough to take out Lincoln, but he was growing impatient.

  “Ai,” Kaiden said. “Be ready.”

She nodded. With her speed, she might be able to take out Lincoln. Ai was the key to it all.

Lilith disappeared appeared and suddenly appeared next to them with an evil grin on her face.

  Chapter Forty-Three

Desiree fought for her life. The Chosen One’s army had gotten through the first group that stood in their path but at great cost. Johnny was dead, and Jeremiah was hurt. Many others were gone or injured.

Even Orlas appeared to be drained by it all. The guns had died down. Desiree was thankful the firearms weren’t closer but worried they were near Kaiden, Ai, and Ziva. That was a thought that she was trying to avoid.

They were in a slight reprieve, moving between one group to another. Desiree could see the force they were about to engage in yet another battle. She was panting and fatigued, more than ready for a good night sleep.

“We are halfway to them,” Jeremiah said.

  “Good,” she said.

“We can finish this,” Orlas said. “I know this force can do it.”

The people around them picked up their spirit. Desiree was impressed with Orlas. She had never seen this side of the demon before, and it was nice to see her be more of a team player.

  “Ready,” Jeremiah said.

The people with magic or bows steadied themselves to fire again.

They were nearly in range, and soon, both sides would unleash the first wave of attack on each other. That was something Desiree really hated. She was useless in this part of the strikes.

“Fire,” Jeremiah said. His side bled, and his voice wavered, but he stood tall. Desiree was proud to fight alongside him.

The sky was filled with fire, water, and arrows. Both sides launched at the same time. They soared over her head, and Desiree was thankful.

The armies picked up the pace and collided. She took out the legs of the first person she met, moved the man behind her, and took on another. He was tall and brutish. Thankfully, he was a low level, and Desiree easily overpowered him. Her blades sliced his throat from ear to ear, and blood squirted out all over the battlefield.

The fight turned into a mess of blood and blades. Desiree killed more and more, just barely getting out of the way of the blades or attacks of others. How she managed she didn’t know. It was as if God was on her side. Desiree giggled at the thought of God working for her. She and God weren’t on the best of terms.

Halfway through this current skirmish, Desiree sliced a man at his ankles, and he screamed, “You bitch.”

No one was allowed to call her that.

Desiree stood up to the man. He was twice her size in pretty much every way.

  “Say that again,” Desiree said.

  “Bitch.”

Desiree was about to strike when the man’s head was ripped off. The body slumped to the ground, and Orlas was left
there holding the head.

  “Hey,” Desiree protested.

Orlas shrugged. “I couldn’t let him get away with that.”

“I was going to make him pay.”

“Here, you can kick the head.”

  Desiree groaned. “Pass.”

Quickly, Desiree went back to the fight. Her blades were covered in blood. After this day, they would need a thorough cleaning if it would be possible to even get them clean again.

  Soon, this group was gone.

Jeremiah limped over to Desiree. “We can see the angels.”

He was right. A block or two away was the force the angels had flown in. Desiree was shocked. They had briefly talked about them making it this far and helping, but not even Vincent thought it was possible.

“I can’t believe it,” Desiree said.

“Neither can I,” Jeremiah said. “Let’s go help kill Lilith.”

“Let’s,” Orlas said. She was clearly giddy with the thought.

  Chapter Forty-Four

Lilith lunged, and Kaiden leaped back and pulled both Ziva and Ai with him.

“You can’t get away from me,” Lilith purred.

Ai was gone, making her way to Lincoln.

Then Lilith was in front of Ai. “I told you,” the demon said. “You can’t get away.”

Ai cursed and sprinted back to Kaiden and Ziva.

“We can’t beat her,” Ziva said.

“Not here we can’t,” Kaiden said, “but we can. Stick to the plan.”

Lilith laughed. “Your stupid plan. Humans always think they can plan everything, and it will work. It won’t.”

  “Yes, it will,” Kaiden said.

It had to work. Kaiden was sure they would win this fight and send Lilith back to Hell.

Zaphkiel landed between Kaiden and Lilith, as did Muriel and Dazielle. The three of them were in their heavenly glory. Even Zaphkiel’s wings shimmered and made Lilith cower for a moment before she vanished and appeared next to Kaiden.

  “Prepare to die,” Lilith said.

Kaiden had no intention of dying, and he wasn’t scared at all. Lilith was playing with her food, toying with them, but she didn’t realize they held had an ace up their sleeves.

Ai dashed away, and Kaiden activated his special power. His energy, strength, and magic soared. Everything. He grabbed Lilith by the neck, who shrieked.

“How?” Lilith managed to get out.

Kaiden didn’t answer. He just held her as long as possible in the air. She wasn’t going to break away from of him. No demon could disappear while being held, and with his added strength, she wouldn’t be able to free herself from his grasp.

Ai was at Lincoln, who was such a low level that he was no match for her. She held him in her arms and glanced to Kaiden, who nodded.

“I’m the Chosen One,” Kaiden said. “I’ll see you in Hell.”

Ai broke Lincoln’s neck, and Lilith disappeared from Kaiden’s grip just as his specialization upgrade faded. It drained him but was worth it.

Zaphkiel looked at him. “You summoned the power of an angel.”

Kaiden peered at him, confused. “What?”

“God gave you the strength and power of an angel,” Muriel said. “I’ve never seen that before. Not even in people like Ai.”

“I don’t know,” Kaiden said. “I prayed to God for aid, and I saw this new power upgrade and took it.”

  “Amazing,” Zaphkiel said. “Just amazing.”

The rest of the demons around the city began to surrender. Kaiden could hear the cheers sounding around the city. This was going to go down in history. This was the day Lilith had been sent back to Hell, though that only mattered if she was eventually killed. Kaiden and the others needed to travel to Hell first.

First, it was time to finish this battle. They could start with Hell tomorrow.

Just then, Desiree appeared next to him with Orlas and a bleeding Jeremiah. Kaiden was thrilled to see Desiree. All three of his lovers had survived the fight. Kaiden couldn’t believe how lucky he was.

The fight had gone as planned. Yes, it had been nasty and vile, but the war was over.

  Chapter Forty-Five

The next day, Ziva was back at the camp. The fighting had stopped almost immeditaly after Lincoln had been killed. Ziva was happy with that. Even though she lived for the fight, she was ready for a break.

Last night, all of them were too tired to even celebrate. They had come back to the camp and their tent and fell asleep. Ziva was the first one up, and she was lying in the bed with them, just watching her lovers sleep.

Kaiden had once mentioned how he loved to see them all rest. It was at this moment she finally understood what he meant. They were perfect sleeping.

She slowly got up out of the bed and looked for some paper and pencil. It took her about ten minutes to find some. Ziva wasn’t going to miss this. She sat on the edge of the bed and started to draw them. They were so peaceful, the way all of them were intermixed with each other to the point that it was hard to tell when Kaiden ended and Ai began. Desiree was mixed in with them too.

Ziva loved it. This melted her heart. Capturing this was both the hardest thing she had ever tried to draw in her life and the easiest. Drawing her lovers was simple, relaxing.

When done, Ziva was pleased with how it turned out. The three of them were terrific, so perfect together.

She set the drawing down and took them all in.

Ai woke, and Desiree and Ziva were already up. Kaiden still slept. The other two were looking at a piece of paper.

“You have to see this,” Desiree said. “Ziva drew us. She made us hot.”

Ai looked over their shoulders. “Wow. Does my ass really look like that?”

“Yes,” Desiree said. “You have one of the best asses around.”

  Ai blushed. “Thank you.”

Ziva giggled. “You both have great asses.”

Ai was happy to hear it. “Ziva, you do too.”

Ziva shrugged. “I’m a tit girl, and that is okay.”

Ai had to admit Ziva did have enormous breasts. Not that Ai didn’t like her own, but Ziva’s were large and perky.

Ai needed to stop talking. She started to pull them into the bed. It was time to have some fun.

  Chapter Forty-Six

Kaiden stirred as the others were climbing back into the bed, kissing each other. He had no idea what caused them to want to make love, but he was fine with them doing it, and he was happy he’d awoke to be part of the escapades.

  “Good morning, beautiful,” Kaiden said.

  They all smiled.

“Of course he wakes up now,” Ziva said. “Just in time to join us.”

“I do have great timing,” Kaiden said.

  They all laughed.

Ziva crawled over and kissed him. This might be the last time he would get to do this since they were going to Hell soon. Kaiden was going to enjoy this and relish every moment with them.

  “I love you,” Kaiden said.

“I love you too,” Ziva said.

She proceeded to pull Kaiden’s shirt off. His body was covered bruises and cuts from the day before. Kaiden didn’t remember getting hit, but it was no surprise. With that type of fighting, there was bound to be scars from it. Kaiden would wear them proudly.

Ziva took off his pants, and Kaiden was utterly naked. The only one. They all stared at him.

  “What?” he asked.

“You are so amazing,” Ai said.

Kaiden shook his head. “Not me. You are. All of you are. Everything I do is because of you and for you.”

Ziva smiled, as did Desiree. Ziva backed away and watched him with the others on the edge of the bed.

“You are so sweet,” Ai said. “It’s a shame we have to go to Hell.”

It really was, but Kaiden wasn’t going to think about that now.

  “Later,” he said.

“Yes,” Desiree said. “Later. Now we make the best of our time here.”
<
br />   Kaiden was fine with that and sat there watching them. His cock grew harder and harder. He wasn’t even touching himself. Just looking at them. Even with them fully clothed, they were hot. Beyond hot. Beautiful and angelic. His harem. His lovers. His soulmates.

Nothing could be better than spending time with them. Kaiden couldn’t think of anything that even compared to being with his lovers, whether making love or battling evil immortal demons.

“Let’s have some fun,” Ziva said.

She took the lead and took off Ai’s shirt off, exposing her small perky breasts, and then her pants. Ai’s flower was clean shaven and perfect. Ziva patted Ai’s lower lips doing the same for Desiree. Then, Ai and Desiree ripped off Ziva’s clothes and tossed her onto the bed next to Kaiden.

Ai crawled to Ziva and kissed her while Desiree moved to Kaiden. Her firm lips pressed against his. Desiree could shift the way she kissed and made love. At times, she was aggressive and overwhelming. Now, she was soft and gentle. Kaiden loved it.

His cock was hard and ready for some attention. Desiree complied, stroking it as they kissed. Just feeling her hands on him was great. Any time he touched his lovers made Kaiden happy. He was so ready for them.

After a little foreplay, Desiree inserted his penis into her pussy. It was dripping wet and tight. Kaiden laid on his back as Desiree rode him.

Next to him, Ziva and Ai made out, kissing and fingering each other. The way they pleasured each other was hot and intense. Kaiden reached out with his hands and grabbed Ai’s breasts. He wanted to give them all attention, to please them all.

Desiree gyrated on him, riding him for all his worth. “Kaiden!”

That was one of life’s great pleasures, hearing her scream his name. She had climaxed as she rode him, and Kaiden was right behind her, ejaculating into her sweet vagina.

  Desiree jumped off.
