His Two Alphas

Page 37

by Anna Wineheart

It broke the dam inside Kai. Pleasure crashed through him, pulsing in waves through his body as it wiped his mind blank. He stopped breathing. Couldn’t think as he surrendered his seed to Micah, yanking on his restraints, needing to pull Micah against himself.

“Ours,” Spike growled, pulling out of Micah, his cock sliding heavy alongside Kai’s.

Kai was about to ask where he was going, except Spike canted his hips, and his thick, blunt tip pressed against Kai’s hole. Pushed inside. More pleasure whispered through Kai.

Spike met his eyes. “Okay if I...?”

Kai swallowed hard, reading the hope and hesitation in Spike’s gaze. He knew what Spike wanted.

  Kai

“I went back to Wy’s Drive-In, you know. That place with the chef who married two alphas.” Spike licked his lips, looking a little sheepish. “I asked Sam if it was okay for alphas to knot each other. He said yes. We won’t end up in the ER.”

Micah chuckled. “I wonder how he knew.”

“He probably saw them do it. Many times.” Spike ground his cock against Kai’s prostate, and Kai tipped his head back, pleasure thrumming through his body.

“Yeah,” Kai said, squeezing around him. “Go ahead.”

Spike growled. He pressed all the way in, just for a second. Then he slid out. “Before I get stuck here,” he breathed, leaning sideways so he could kiss Micah’s lips. “I wanna mark you first, Micah.”

Micah’s eyes grew wide; his chest heaved. Spike slid his tongue into Micah’s mouth, dragging his fingers through Micah’s hair.

“Yes,” Micah whispered, his voice rough. “Please.”

Spike growled, breaking the kiss to nuzzle Micah’s scent gland, where Kai’s mark sat off-center. Then he nuzzled the spot where Micah smelled strongest, and dragged his teeth a little to the side, so it balanced out Kai’s marking.

Truth be told, Kai was surprised they hadn’t bonded yet. “I thought you guys were tight,” Kai said. “Why’d you never mark each other?”

Micah flushed, and so did Spike.

“I didn’t... think I should really be the omega for you,” Micah said, looking down. “Both of you deserve better.”

Spike snorted against Micah’s skin. “Yeah, you see us with any other omega?”

Micah blushed harder. “That might also be because I’m pregnant.”

“It isn’t because of the baby that we’re here,” Kai said.

Micah bowed his head. “I understand now. I’m just... so grateful that you both took a chance on me.”

“You’re the only omega I’ve ever wanted.” Spike dropped kisses along Micah’s shoulder; his knot began to swell. “There’s no one else in the world that’s anything like you.”

“Then you should’ve marked Micah,” Kai said.

Spike met his eyes. “Yeah, I know that now. I’m never letting either of you go.”

Those words sat warm in Kai’s chest. He rocked up into Micah, wanting the handcuffs off so he could touch Micah and Spike. The bonding came first, though. “You’re most important, Micah. Baby or not. Gods, when I saw you after those guys beat Spike up... I was gonna murder someone.”

“I hope you don’t,” Spike said dryly. “I’d rather have you in my bed instead of behind bars.”

Kai grinned. “Mark Micah, and then get the damn cuffs off. I want my scent on both of you.”

Spike smiled. He exchanged a glance with Micah—and that was the most poignant look Kai had ever seen. Spike, finally about to bond with the omega he’d crushed on for a decade. Kai’s heart pattered. He was so fucking happy for them.

“Please,” Micah whispered to Spike. Spike sucked in a shaky breath, his lip trembling a little. Then he sank his teeth into Micah’s shoulder, breaking skin. Micah gasped, his eyes flying wide. His cock jerked. Kai knew that pain and pleasure—Spike had marked him earlier. He and Micah were both Spike’s, now, and it felt incredible.

“Mine,” Spike growled, kissing Micah’s raw skin. “Ours.”

Micah flushed, a smile spreading through his face.

“Ours,” Kai agreed, watching them. There was no ugly snarl of jealousy this time. Just contentment, now that Spike had made him a promise. And Micah...

Spike leaned forward, grabbing a key from the nightstand to unlock the cuffs. Kai groaned when the pressure around his wrists faded, rolling his shoulders. Felt good to have his arms down again.

He sat up, only to have Spike push him back down. “Gonna get inside,” Spike growled, his eyes gleaming. “Before my knot gets too big.”

Kai groaned. Spike grasped Kai’s ankles, parting them, fitting himself between Kai’s legs. Then he pushed into Kai, all the way until his knot snagged against Kai’s hole, thick and heavy. Kai’s breath stuck in his throat. “Get inside,” Kai growled.

Spike groaned, pressing in gently. His skin was still slick from Micah, but even then, Kai had never stretched around something that big before. He breathed steadily to relax, groaning when his brother opened him wider and wider, and finally gave a thrust, pushing his knot through Kai’s hole.

“Fuck,” Spike hissed, his tendons straining. “You’re damn tight, Kai. Like a virgin.”

  Kai glared. “I am not!”

But he felt it—Spike’s knot stretching him impossibly inside, locking them together. When Spike moved, his knot tugged inside Kai, sending a jolt of pleasure through their bodies.

Spike was the first alpha to knot inside Kai, and he would also be the last.

“Mine,” Spike growled, his eyes intent with love.

Kai’s breath stuck in his throat. He caught Spike’s wrist, bringing it up against his teeth. Spike’s eyes grew wide; his chest heaved. And Micah watched them with growing delight.

“I would quit basketball for you, you know,” Kai murmured, kissing Spike’s wrist. There had been those threats from his childhood, ugly whispers that Kai would never grow up to be enough. But Kai had two loves now—Micah, and Spike. And proving himself took a backseat to that. He already had more than his dad ever did. “I don’t wanna leave either of you again.”

Spike blinked back his tears, even as he smiled. “I can’t believe you, Kai.”

“Well, believe it.” Kai exchanged a look with his brother, the alpha he’d grown up with, and trusted with all his heart. “I’m sorry I let you down. If you’ll forgive me...”

“Yeah,” Spike said, nodding fervently. “Only if you won’t be an ass again. Maybe invite us to the next game, instead of, you know, breaking things off and avoiding us.”

And maybe... there was a way they could all work things out.

Kai’s heart skipped. “Sorry,” he whispered, kissing the scent gland on Spike’s wrist. Under Micah’s fond gaze and Spike’s burning stare, Kai sank his teeth into Spike’s skin, breaking it. Blood welled up in the teethmarks when he released Spike; Kai licked Spike’s blood, swallowing it. In his chest, his instincts roared. Spike is mine now. I’m his.

Spike flushed with joy, too far away for Kai to kiss his mouth. Kai made do with a kiss on his palm, for now. And a gentle bite, a scrape of teeth that sent Spike rumbling with delight.

Kai was never breaking things off with his brother again.

“I’m so happy for both of you,” Micah murmured, his cheeks growing dark.

Yeah, Kai wanted him, too. Micah, who was selfless and strong and so damn beautiful. So he took Micah’s wrist, on the same side he’d marked Spike. Micah’s eyes grew wide.

“Yeah?” Kai asked, kissing the spot on Micah’s skin that smelled most strongly of gardenia.

Micah’s throat worked. “Please,” he whispered, taking Kai’s hand. Hope and anticipation glimmered in his eyes. “I love you.”

Kai’s heart thumped. He bit into Micah’s wrist, loving when Micah clenched around his knot, crying out softly.

Spike groaned. “You guys are so fucking sexy.” He sniffed at Micah’s nape, then glowered at Kai. “When did you realize you loved Micah? You
didn’t tell me, you fucker!”

Kai blushed. “A while ago. Back when we brought him to visit Mom. When Dad came out yelling and Micah went and yelled back... fuck. Felt like I’d seen an angel.”

Spike rumbled, his eyes crinkling. “I remember that. Micah was sexy as fuck. Did you see the look on Dad’s face?”

Kai chuckled. “So is Mom still staying with him?”

Spike shook his head. “She talked to a lawyer. She said she isn’t sticking with someone who doesn’t respect her sons and their omega.” Spike gave a happy wriggle. “I love our Mom.”

“She really is great,” Micah said, his eyes twinkling.

Gods, Kai’s heart felt too small to contain what he felt for them both. The eventual dissolution of his parents’ marriage... that made his heart twinge. It had been a source of stability for him for years.

But more important than that was his mom’s happiness. And if Micah could find love at his age... Maybe Kai’s mom could, too.

Micah took Kai and Spike’s hands, meeting Kai’s gaze first, then turning so he was looking at Spike. “If the both of you are sure...”

“You want a few more bonding marks?” Kai grinned.

“Of course we’re damn sure,” Spike added, nipping at Micah’s shoulder. “But yeah, Kai and I would be happy to mark you all over. Any time. Especially between your legs. On your ass. All the sexy spots.”

Kai slapped Spike’s thigh. “Always about the sex, that one.”

“Like it isn’t for you, too!” Spike made a face at Kai.

Micah squeezed their hands, anchoring their attention back onto him. Then he blinked rapidly, a pink tinge creeping up his cheeks. “If I were to bond with you...”

They gave him their wrists. Spike nudged his against Micah’s lips; Kai dragged his down Micah’s jaw, then his chest, covering him with elm. And Micah laughed, his eyes shining with delight.

“I don’t know if I believe in myself,” Micah said slowly, taking both their hands, and kissing their scent glands. His lips were warm and soft. “But I think... I’m ready to start trying.”

Kai met Spike’s eyes, finding his own eagerness reflected in his brother. “Hell, yeah,” Kai growled, cupping Micah’s cheek. “We’ll help. Any way you want.”

“And we’ll be here to make you feel like the sexiest omega ever,” Spike murmured, kissing Micah’s shoulder. Then he coughed lightly. “I mean, if this past hour wasn’t proof enough.”

Micah turned a bright red. Then he kissed Spike’s wrist, and sank his teeth into Spike’s scent gland. Spike swore, his cock jerking inside Kai.

“Mine,” Micah whispered. Spike blinked hard again, the joy on his face almost too bright to look at. Kai’s heart swelled for them.

Then Micah dragged his teeth against Kai’s wrist, sharp points on sensitive skin. Kai held his breath. Without Micah’s encouragement, Kai would’ve never thought his basketball career was still possible. Without Micah, he’d probably never think of actually being a dad.

And without Micah, Kai might never have returned to Meadowfall for Spike. That scared him. Made him grateful for them both.

  “I love you,” Kai growled.

Micah beamed, and sank his teeth into Kai’s wrist. Like before, pain and pleasure twisted down Kai’s nerves. Kai groaned, panting through the sensations.

“I can’t believe we’re all bonded,” Spike said, his voice thick with emotion. He hugged Micah from behind, burying his face in Micah’s back. “When’d you realize you loved Kai?”

Micah laughed. “That same day, when I visited your Mom. And Kai got so angry on my behalf.”

Spike grinned, raising his eyebrows at Kai. “So all we gotta do is be big angry alphas, huh?”

“Maybe.” Micah leaned into him, his belly round, his stretch marks stark against his skin. “You’re both perfect as you are.”

Kai grinned, stroking Micah’s belly. Something kicked under his hand, for the second time.

“Holy shit,” Kai said, because he still couldn’t believe it. There was a child in Micah’s belly. His. He pulled his hand away, staring at Micah’s baby bump.

It felt strange and weird and new—no wonder Spike had jumped and fawned over Micah’s belly when he’d first felt it.

Spike grabbed Kai’s hand and placed it back on Micah’s belly. He tangled their fingers. “Our baby,” Spike said.

“You ready to be a dad?” Kai asked, a little less surprised when the next kick came. Their baby.

Spike looked just a tad nervous. “I’m, uh. I’m still reading up on it.”

“I haven’t even started.” Kai grimaced, his stomach twisting. How much did he have to know to care for a child? “Gods, I’m so behind.”

Micah laughed. “I have child-raising experience, you know. Don’t forget that.”

“I don’t want to rely on you for everything,” Spike muttered. “You’ve got to catch a break, too.”

“Yeah.” Kai closed his hand around Micah’s fingers, kissing his knuckles. Just savoring his alpha and omega. “We’ll pull our own weight. And yours, too.”

“And I’ll tell you how to help.” Micah leaned into their touch, his eyes soft. “That’s what I’m here for, right?”

“Micah’s the best.” Spike rumbled, wrapping his arms possessively around their omega. Kai swore that the moment his knot receded, he’d envelop them both in a bear hug, too.

“Wait, when are you going back to Colorado, again?” Spike asked suddenly. “You’re right in the middle of the season.”

Kai winced. He wasn’t ready to go back. “Wednesday, but I was thinking of quitting.”

“No!” Spike frowned. “Keep that job.”

Kai raised his eyebrows, dubious. Spike and Micah had both said not to quit, but... “You were so insistent that I quit. Remember?”

Spike looked sheepish. Micah turned to kiss Spike’s jaw. “Well, the baby’s gonna be here soon,” Spike mumbled. “I can’t find a job that pays anything like yours. And I don’t want Micah to stress about getting a job this close to the birth. But... mostly it’s because it’s something you love, Kai. I can’t take that away from you.”

Kai shook his head, amazed at Spike’s change of heart. “And I’d just as soon give it up for you.”

Spike looked away, but his ears had turned red. “Sweet-talker,” he muttered.

“You both are so sweet,” Micah said, leaning forward to stroke Kai’s cheek. Kai grabbed Micah’s hand, kissing all over his fingers.

“Micah’s sweet, too,” Spike said, breaking into a grin. “Anyway... I told you my reasons. Keep the job. I want to tell everyone I have a brother playing for the NBA.”

Kai swallowed. “Gonna miss you guys when I go back.”

“We could visit.” Spike looked hopeful. “We’ll squeeze with you into your tiny room. I’m sure there’s space.”

The weight on Kai’s heart eased away. Having Spike and Micah join him, even for just a while... that sounded so good. “I’d love that. Could show you guys around the city.”

“What, from the bedroom window while we fuck?” Spike laughed.

Micah snorted, shaking his head. “You both are impossible.”

“That’s why we love you,” Spike said, blowing a raspberry on Micah’s shoulder. Micah shrieked.

Kai leaned back against the pillows, watching them. He didn’t know what he’d do in the long run, when Micah still hadn’t found another job, and when Spike would take a couple more years to graduate. And with the baby on the way... That was enough to make his nerves twinge with worry.

But for today, with his bondmates by his side... there was nothing else Kai would rather be doing.

  43

  Micah

The next morning, they got ready to move some of Spike and Kai’s things back to Micah’s place.

“The best thing about being brothers who share everything,” Kai said dryly, pulling on the clothes in Spike’s drawer. “Feels like I came home to my own T-shirts and jeans in
stead of forgetting to bring anything along.”

Spike elbowed him in the ribs. “Yeah, all you want me for are my clothes.”

“And your ass.” Kai grinned. “‘Sides, they’re my clothes, too.”

Micah laughed, his heart swelling for them. He’d wondered if things would be different between Kai and Spike, now that they’d bonded with each other—but it looked like things were back to before, except better. “Did you buy all those shirts together?”

“Sometimes,” Spike answered, sniffing at Kai’s discarded jeans. Then he threw those aside and stuck his nose in the crook of Kai’s neck, sniffing all the way down to his armpit. “Sometimes I bring home a unicorn shirt and Kai says I made a lousy decision, but he’ll wear it anyway.”

“A shirt’s a shirt.” Kai shrugged, shoving Spike off so he could wear his jeans. Spike slipped his hand down the front of Kai’s boxers, closing his fist between Kai’s legs. “Later,” Kai growled, rocking into Spike’s hand. “Let’s move the bed back first.”

Micah had missed that bed. He’d been sleeping in his own the past two weeks, but without the elm and juniper scents... it hadn’t felt like home anymore. “I thought of something for when you return to Denver, Kai.”

  Both brothers looked up.

“Take the sheets from my bed,” Micah said. At their puzzled stares, he continued, “We’ll drape them on your bed, and spend a couple nights on them. That way, when you bring them back with you, it’ll have all our scents.”

“I love it,” Spike said. “Make sure there’s some come stains, too. Better do it ten times to be sure.”

Kai shook his head. “Gods, Spike, you’re hopeless.”

But he was smiling, a faint blush on his cheeks. Micah had caught Kai staring at the bonding mark on his wrist, rubbing the one on his neck, as though he didn’t quite believe that Micah and Spike had really bonded with him.

So Micah stepped over, nudging Kai’s arm. “We’ll really miss you, you know. Spike and I really appreciated those video calls.”
