The Duchess and the Dreamer
Page 26
“Ladies, gentlemen, and children,” Clementine said, “I’m delighted to open the first of what will be many new housing areas in Rosebrook. We haven’t had an easy time while trying to bring this dream to fruition, but we never gave up, we kept going forward, because we want to make the world a better place. As my partner Evan says so often, we want to leave the world a little bit better than how we found it, and these affordable, ecologically friendly houses are just the start.”
Clementine looked right at Evan and said, “I didn’t always believe in dreams, but without the dreamers of this world we would be nothing. I declare the Seaside Cottages open!”
