  Emma kissed Dane’s cheek. “I’m so glad you do.”

  A snort from the back seat, followed by a high-pitched yip, made Emma laugh. Delilah’s paws twitched as if she were running, and she blew small bursts of air through her lips in tiny little barks.

  Emma laughed and leaned her head on Dane’s shoulder. Dane placed a kiss to the top of Emma’s head. The road stretched out before them, leading them to endless possibilities, boundless adventures, and forever love.

  About the Author

  Donna K. Ford is a licensed professional counselor who spends her professional time assisting people in their recovery from substance addictions. She holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice, a BS in psychology, and an MS in community agency counseling. When not trying to save the world, she spends her time in the mountains of East Tennessee enjoying the lakes, rivers, and hiking trails near her home.

  Reading, writing, and enjoying conversation with good friends are the gifts that keep her grounded. Her book Love’s Redemption was a 2016 Foreword INDIES finalist.
