by Erin Trejo

“There are two things I’m good at. Killin’ and fuckin’. Even though the thought of snappin’ your neck has crossed my mind, bein’ inside of you is a hundred times better.” My mouth closes over hers. The taste of her exploding on my tongue. She tastes like perfection but there’s a hint of evil in there. I slide my hands down to her waist as my mouth claims hers. Lifting her in my arms, she wraps her legs around my waist. I groan at the feel of her soft pussy pressing against me in the most heated ways. There has never been anyone that could turn my head the way Lia does. Not even Taby had that power over me. Lia is doing something to me and I’m not sure how to stop. I’m not sure I want to stop it if I being completely honest.

I walk us back to the house and up the front steps. I release her with one hand only to open the door. Lia’s lips suck at my throat and fuck, do I want to come already.

“You keep that up, baby, I won’t make it inside of you.” Two things occur to me in this moment. One, I love how she feels when she’s with me. How I feel when she’s with me and two, I’ve never called anyone baby aside from Taby. That word means more to me than calling her my girlfriend. It holds meaning to me and here I am calling Lia baby.

“Draven. Please,” Lia begs. All the thoughts leave my mind as I set her on her feet in the living room. She looks up at me with those beautiful doe eyes of hers.

“What do you want, baby?” I ask her. Fuck! Again, with the baby thing. I loosen my belt buckle before working the button and zipper on my jeans. Lia’s eyes follow but her mouth gapes open when her hands fly forward.

“Is that your blood?” She asks. I glance down and see her tugging at my shirt. My stomach flips inside of me. Does she care?

“It’s not mine. Get on your knees,” I growl. Her head snaps back, her eyes locking with mine. Lia slowly slides to the floor as my pants and boxers follow. Her hand comes to wrap around my dick, the softest of strokes threatening to take me over the edge.

“Suck it, Lia. Don’t play games.” The more she strokes, the harder I get. I close my eyes until I feel her lips wrap around me. My eyes fly open and my head tilts forward watching her long dark hair as it moves around her shoulders. Her tongue dances over the bottom of my dick as she sucks like her life depends on it. I grunt and grown just loving the feel of her wrapped so perfectly around me. Lia’s head moves faster and faster. I can feel that burn as it races up my spine. I reach forward, knotting her hair around my fist as I pump into her plump lips. Lia sucks harder until I can’t control myself. My balls tighten as I cum roughly in the back of her throat. Lia swallows it all as I unload inside of her mouth.

“Fuck!” I growl as my hips jerk into her face. I don’t care if it’s hurting her. I don’t care if I’m pulling her hair out, she feels like pure heaven. I hold steady in her mouth for a minute longer. As I slowly pull out, her tongue darts to the tip. Lia licks making sure she has every last drop of me.

“Get up. Turn around.” I don’t know what she’s doing to me but my dick is hardening again. This is a new one for me too. Of course, I can fuck like a machine but getting hard right after a blowjob like that? Never happened.

“Lean over that chair,” I tell her. Lia moves to stand in front of the chair. She leans down, her hands on the arms, her ass in the air. I give it a nice slap, making her yelp before kicking my boots off. I reach down and pull a condom out of my jeans, quickly getting it on. I don’t warn her. I just take her. Slamming into her, she screams my name over and over. She calls out for more.

“Draven! Shit! Harder!” She cries. I chuckle and give her what she wants. Her pussy clenches around me making me feel like I’m the best high of my life. The way she holds me inside of her. The way she pulls at everything in me. I don’t want to let this go. I want to keep her. She isn’t mine to keep but that doesn’t mean shit to me. I want her.

“Make me come again, Lia. Fuckin’ do it, baby!” I pump my hips into her harder. Her body locks down around me, a wave of pleasure flowing through the both of us. The harder she clenches, the harder I come.

  Chapter 19

Her finger traces over the tattoos that cover my chest. The way her skin feels against mine is unbelievable. I’ve not thought about the way a woman’s touch made me feel for a long time but as I lie here letting her do as she pleases to me, I love it. A chill races over me causing Lia to giggle slightly. I just smile and let her continue.

“We all have secrets, Draven,” She says, her fingers still moving. I run my hand up and down her naked back, loving how she feels. The softness of her.

“I know. Some are better left in the dark too,” I add. Lia sighs but she doesn’t stop.

“Some could get someone hurt,” She says.

“I’m strong, Lia. Whatever it is, I can handle it,” I tell her honestly. Why I want this woman is beyond me. I’ve spent months sneaking around behind everyone’s back and fucking her until she couldn’t walk but I want her. Now. I want her to be mine. I may not know her secrets and if it has anything to do with this club, she would be killed but for some reason, I fucking want her.

“Do you have family, Draven? I mean, outside the club?” She leans down, pressing a kiss to my chest, her hair tickling my skin.

“I have a brother. My dad wasn’t any good. He was a real bastard takin’ his anger out on me and James. Mom sat back high as fuck lettin’ it happen. She isn’t a mother. She’s a waste of fuckin’ air that deserves what she gets.” Her tongue slowly moves down, tracing the muscles on my abs.

“What happened to them?” She pulls away long enough to ask before he mouth is back on me. I groan before I say, “James has a life. He has a good woman at his side. He made somethin’ out of his life. Mom is off gettin’ high somewhere. James still talks to her but I don’t need that bitch. She wasn’t a fuckin’ mom. No mother would let a man do that to her kids. Dad’s dead.” I leave it at that. She doesn’t need to know that I killed the motherfucker. She doesn’t need to know that I had so much pent up anger inside of me that I lost it and stabbed him to death. I didn’t even make him feel a third of what James and I felt. I just saw red and stabbed. By the time I was done, you couldn’t recognize him. That was way back when I started prospecting with the club. Hawk helped me get rid of the body and had people clean up my mess. I think that’s the first time he saw me for who I was.

“What about your family?” I ask. Lia tenses and I know I hit a sore spot.

“I have a sister. My family was dysfunctional when I was growing up. My mom was the abuser. She didn’t want kids but my dad did. There was me, my sister and little brother. Mom wanted out but dad was hell bent on keeping us a family. It killed them in the end,” She says softly. She’s disconnected. I can hear it in her voice. Is she lying to me right now?

“How did they die?” I ask needing more information. Information to me is like a fucking drug. I have to have it. I need to know all there is to know.

“Car accident. Me and my sister weren’t with them,” She says quickly as though she wants to dismiss the whole talk.

“Had to be hard on you,” I say. Lia nods, kissing her way back up my body. When she sucks on that spot at the base of my throat, I lose it. She knows what she’s doing. She knows she’s turning me on.

“I wanna ask you a favor,” I tell her. Her head slowly comes up, her eyes meeting mine. I could lose myself in those eyes. I could easily sit and stare into them all fucking day which is so unlike me.

“What is it?” She asks sweetly. I swallow hard knowing that I never took a woman around James except Taby.

“Would you go to my brothers with me? He’s havin’ a cookout for his woman’s birthday,” I say like it’s no big deal but inside of me, my heart, it’s a big goddamn deal. My hearts thudding so damn quickly I can barely control myself. I don’t know what the hell Lia is doing to me but I think I fucking like it.

“Are you sure?” She asks, tilting her head to the side to study me.

  “I asked, didn’t I? If you don’t want to, I ge
t it,” I say as I reach up and brush a strand of hair behind her ear. Lia gasps letting her eyes fall closed a little. I can’t stop the smile that tugs across my face.

“I’d like that,” She finally says. I nod once and pull her head back to my chest.

“We need to sleep a little first. I’m about dead,” I chuckle. Lia snuggles closer to me when the thought occurs.

“Why were outside?” Lia sighs before she says, “I was looking for somewhere to sleep. Ratt told me to get out while he had Shay over.” I close my eyes, my hand instinctively tightening around her.

“You were just gonna sleep outside?” The words grumble from my throat.

  “Yeah.”

“Never, Lia. From now on, you’re in this bed or on my goddamn couch. Got it?” I growl. Sleeping outside? Even I’m not that much of a bastard.

  “Ok. Draven?” She says sleepily.

  “Yeah, baby?”

  “I never slept with him.”

“Ratt?” I ask, my fingers trailing up and down her back.

“Yeah. I never slept with him. I never want to,” She says as she yawns. I lay there in silence for a few minutes before I say, “I wasn’t gonna let you anyway.”

  Chapter 20

Good things in life are rare. Regardless of what you have, the bad always seems to outweigh the good. There’s never been much of an in between with me. I either had it all or I had nothing much like I had with Taby. Lia’s words from yesterday still ring in my head and cause a tightening in my chest. She was never with him and didn’t want to be. I don’t know what to make of that considering she’s been with him for months. If they weren’t sleeping together what the hell were they doing exactly. Her hands tighten around my waist as I turn onto James’ road. I drive down the block and pull into the driveway. I see the cars that line the road. He assured me none of them are cops which is good for me. I don’t want to have to explain to Lia what he does right now. I kill the engine and climb off, helping Lia after me. She seems nervous and a little shaky.

“How long has your brother lived here?” She asks shakily.

“Just a few months. Moved from the other side of town,” I tell her. She glances around as if she might know the neighborhood. I don’t question her; only observe like I usually do. Her eyes dance over the road before coming back to the house. James lives on a very busy street. There are always a ton of cars going up and down the road. Maybe she’s used to the silence at the compound.

“You ok?” I ask her. Lia jerks her head around to meet my gaze and smiles. Giving me a quick nod, I nod back before grabbing her hand.

“Is your brother like you?” She asks as we walk up toward the house. I chuckle at that one and say, “Couldn’t get any more opposite if we tried.”

Lia seems intrigued by that. She smiles and seems to relax a little when the door flies open.

“I didn’t think you would really come you bastard.” James steps out with a grin on his face. I let go of Lia and pull my little brother into a hug.

“You invited me, asshole,” I tell him. We pull apart and his eyes linger on Lia.

“And who is this?” He asks clearly amused that I brought someone with me.

“This is Lia. Lia this is my brother James.” I introduce them. James moves forward and shakes her hand. He won’t give away the fact that we talked about her. Or the fact that I was worried about who she was but I can sure as hell tell you that I will get an ear full later about it.

“Nice to meet you. Please, come in. We’re all out back. I don’t know what my brother told you but I am the best man when it comes to the grill,” James says with a laugh. Lia laughs with him and my whole world seems to fall in place. It’s scary in a way to have that feeling wash over you.

“Fuck you, James. You can’t cook worth a shit,” I tell him. James laughs and ushers us out the back door onto the patio. Just like I thought, it’s full of his friends and her family.

“Happy birthday, Jen.” I tell her when her eyes meet mine. She smiles and pulls me into a hug.

“Thank you! I’m so glad you came. We never see you anymore,” She says sweetly. If I was that sweet type, this is the kind of girl I’d want to. Jen has been nothing short of amazing for James.

“This is my girl Lia.” I nudge her arm. Jen shakes her hand as I scan the crowd making sure none of them are cops. James knows I don’t do well if I have to sit around with a bunch of pigs for more than thirty minutes. I lose my cool.

“Did you hear me?” Jen’s voice pulls my attention.

“Sorry. Got a little lost,” I tell her with an apologetic smile.

“Draven, you are something else. I’m taking Lia with me inside to grab more drinks.” I nod my head and look down, giving Lia a wink. She smiles and it feels like my heart is melting in my chest.

“What the hell is that?” James whispers loudly in my ear.

“That is Lia,” I say being a smartass.

“I think that is obvious. What is she doing here? Thought you didn’t trust her?”

  “I do and I don’t. Can’t explain it, man.”

“Oh, for Christs sake. You fucked her, didn’t you?” He asks. I laugh before slapping a hand on his shoulder.

“Look, little brother. I still need that information. That doesn’t change. I don’t know what to say here, man. I feel good when she’s with me, James. When she isn’t, I feel off,” I tell him the truth. He looks down at his feet before looking back up at me with a goofy ass grin on his face.

“You love her. I never thought I’d see the day again,” He says shaking his head. I slap him in the back of the head and say, “I don’t love her. I fucked her, man. Love doesn’t have a place in me anymore. I don’t know how.” I shake my head letting my words linger in the air. Turning my head, I watch Lia walk out carrying drinks next to Jen with a huge fucking smile on her face. My heart leaps at the sight. I stand here in awe of her. Her beauty. Lia isn’t anything out of the ordinary as far as looks go but her whole aura is different. That’s what pulls me to her. That’s what captivates a man like me. James slaps a hand on my shoulder and laughs.

“Yeah. You don’t love her at all.”

  Chapter 21

Is it strange that I have a settling feeling when Lia is next to me? She has sat here, holding my hand and keeping up with the chatter around us. She smiles and answers. My heart falls further and further into my chest.

“So, Lia. How did you two meet?” Jen asks. Lia tenses next to me, her hand gripping mine tighter.

“I stole her. One of my friends was trying to get her number but I slid in there first.” I answer for her. Jen grins. She’s a sucker for stuff like that. I sigh when she doesn’t question us any further. The conversation goes on around us but when I look over at Lia, it all fades. Nothing else matters in this moment. Music blasts through the speakers before I even realize I was staring at her. Everyone else has gotten up and moved on but I’m lost in her.

“Dance with me,” I tell her. Lia turns her head to look at me. Her eyes dance with light.

“Ok.” She shoves out of her chair and waits for me. I stand, taking her hand in mine as I walk us over to the plywood we are using as a dancefloor. I wrap my hands around her waist, holding her tightly. Lia wraps her arms around my neck. I watch her eyes as we move to the music.

“What are you afraid of?” I ask her, leaning into her space. I let my lips caress her cheek before placing a kiss there.

“Of being alone forever. Of what my future holds. Dying to soon.” I pull back to look her in the eyes. Tears fill those beauties and it breaks my heart to see it.

“I can protect you,” I tell her. She gives me a sad smile. She lays her head on my chest as we continue to dance.

“I mean it, Lia. If you let me. I can take care of you,” I tell her. I can hear her sniffle.

“It would be so easy to let you. It would be so easy to say yes but I told you once before, we all have secrets. Mine need to stay hidden,” She says softly. I take a deep b
reath and blow it out.

“I’ve done things in my past. I won’t say that I’m not proud because I am. It’s just who I am. I wouldn’t want you to be a part of that but the more I’m with you, the more I feel like I need you, Lia. I don’t know that I want to lose that just yet.” The first time in a long time, I’m honest with her and myself. I’ve never said those words before. I’ve never let it go this far with anyone else.

“I’m sorry, Draven. As much as I’d love to say yes, I can’t. Not right now.” Lia tries to pull out of my arms but I just tug her back. I hold her a little tighter as she sobs into my shirt. Running my hand up and down her back, I press a kiss to the top of her head.

“It doesn’t have to happen all at once but I’ll earn that right,” I whisper into her hair.

“I don’t deserve it. You would hate me,” She says with a sniffle.

“There’s nothin’ you could do to make me hate you, Lia.” We dance in silence as I let that sink in. I said it. The words came from my mouth and something deep inside of me says it’s true. I wouldn’t hate her. Even if she’s behind what’s happening at the club, there has to be a reason outside of her control. There has to be something more to it. I wouldn’t for a second longer believe Lia is single handedly bringing my boys down. She’s too perfect. She’s too right. She’s mine.

There is nothing else inside of me to give her that I haven’t already. As much as I hate to fucking say it, Lia owns me. She owns parts of me that I kept protected. She walked into my life a whirlwind of emotion. She made herself comfortable in my bed, in my home, with my family and inside of me. No matter what she throws at me, I want her. I can’t deny it. I won’t.

“When you’re ready, I’m here. I ain’t goin’ anywhere and neither are you,” I inform her. Lia holds on tighter. Lia sighs and nuzzles her face into my chest. I keep us moving to the music for as long as she lets me. I don’t know what’s happening between us but I do know I’m not ready to let it go. I catch James’ gaze from across the yard. The smirk on his face makes me grin. When he makes his hands into a heart I almost lose it all together.
