LITERARY PUBLISHERS PRESENT: A READING WITH KAREN RUSSELL AND PHIL KLAY
8 February, 5 p.m., NYU Creative Writing Program Reading Series, Lillian Vernon Creative Writers House, 58 West 10th Street, New York, NY 10011. Free.
Phil Klay, a veteran of the US Marine Corps, and Karen Russell have written movingly in Granta about soldiers returning from Iraq. In a time when more and more stories of veterans are being told, these contributors join Granta editor John Freeman to explore why and how we narrate these experiences and the possibilities of homecoming and healing.
