Heart of Light

I let out a shaky sigh. “That’s when I saw the club. Everything else was closed, and I needed somewhere loud and crowded. So I ran in.” I paused. “And that’s when I met you.”

We looked into each other’s eyes for a moment.

“Sorry, I know I got a little long winded,” I said.

Isaac reached over and pulled me into a tight embrace. We were chest to chest, and warmth radiated off him in waves. He smelled so good up close. I realized then that he was trying not to cry. I stroked his back as he did the same for me. When his spike of emotion passed, he pulled away. “Sorry,” he said. “I just… had to make sure I wouldn’t lose you for a moment.”

  “It’s okay,” I said.

He exhaled a deep shaky breath. “I’m sorry. For all he did.”

“You don’t have anything to be sorry about,” I said. “It was him who did it, not you.”

He shook his head. “I know. I’m just sorry you had to go through that at all. Nobody deserves that, but especially you.” He looked up, his pale green eyes a mess of emotion. “I’m glad you found me when you did.”

I swallowed back the lump forming in my throat. “Me too.” I held his hands tightly in mine. They were so much bigger than my own, and comfortingly warm. “Thank you for everything you’ve done for me, Isaac. I really mean it.” The next words came out before I could stop them. “I love you.”

“I love you, too,” Isaac said softly.

I couldn’t help the overwhelming urge to kiss him then, so I did. Our lips pressed together and it felt like coming home. Only this time, I wanted more than the chaste kisses we had shared earlier. I moved against him, gently opening my mouth and pressing my tongue to his lips.

He made a noise halfway between a protest and a whine, uncertain. Surprised at my own boldness, I gave his hands a reassuring squeeze before releasing them and pressing my body firmly against his taller frame. One of my arms snaked around the back of his head and pulled it even more closely against mine - his lips parted with a moan and my tongue slipped easily inside, excited, curious, exploring.

His mouth tasted of breath mints and comfort, and I couldn’t get enough of either. My other hand found the hem of his shirt and slipped underneath it. My hand gliding up the smoothness of his torso, wandering across a back that while slim was still so much broader than my own. My brain took a backseat to my body’s hungry instincts and just let them take over.

I withdrew my mouth from his, slowly pulling away, catching his lower lip between my teeth in a gentle nibble. He leaned into me, chasing my mouth, driven by his own hunger now and I laughed, giddy.

I sank to my knees, running my hands down both sides of his body until they rested on his ass. My face flushed with the considerable tent straining against the front of his jeans. I nosed it, eyes closed and inhaling the faint scent of his masculinity. He was rock hard, with almost no give to the firmness beneath the denim.

“Seth, you don’t have to,” Isaac murmured from above. I tilted my head to look up at him, capturing his slightly dazed gaze with my own.

  “I know,” I said. “I want to.”

And I did. Want didn’t feel adequate to describe what drove me to glue my cheek against his bulge, rubbing up against him, my hands now gripping and kneading his ass cheeks as best I could through his jeans. This was the kind of hunger I’d only ever read about, chalked up to hyperbole because I had never truly believed this kind of desperate want was the sort of thing normal guys experienced. Quiet, reserved guys like me didn’t put their lips around a mouthful of denim, getting the fabric wet because they were so eager for what was underneath they couldn’t even wait for their shaking fingers to finish undoing his buttons.

And yet here I was, reluctant to pull my head back even for the few seconds it took to force his zipper down its uncooperative track. Feeling like chaotic lightning was shooting all through me every time Isaac carded his fingers through my hair, tangling it in his grip, trying to balance his innate gentleness with a desperation to match my own. A desperation I’d driven him to.

His zipper finally undone, I reached up to the waist of his jeans and yanked, grabbing the band of his boxers in my grip as well. Dragged the both of them down his thighs, freeing his hard cock with a spring, its surprising girth bouncing up to slap against his stomach before it came to a stop just hovering there, mere inches from my face.

I caught my breath at my first real look at it. Not because it was the most gorgeous cock I’d ever seen or because it was fit for a porn star or anything like that. I wouldn’t even know how to quantify such things. But because it was his. How could I not love it? How could I not love any part of this man? I didn’t even think about what I was doing, didn’t stop to analyze it, I just knew that I wanted it, and I was done denying myself the things that I wanted. Well, as long as it was okay with him, but as I dove into his crotch, my tongue darting out to lick at the base of his shaft, I heard no complaints from above me. Just an impassioned, breathless moan.

“Seth,” he said, the word almost a sob, and I grinned headily. I’d never heard my name spoken that way before. There was an intensity to it that took my recklessness and ramped it up even further. My tongue danced a complicated choreography up the sides of his shaft, trying to work my way all around it and cover every inch. I kissed and nibbled around the underside of his large, mushroom cap, feeling him gasp and shudder beneath my hands. With his jeans gone I could dig into the flesh of his cheeks now, feeling the play of his muscles beneath my fingers.

Finally I took a breath, opened my mouth as wide as I could, and slid the first few inches of his shaft into my mouth. Closed my lips around it, tightened the seal. Sucked. I swear I could feel his entire body go rigid then. His every joint locking up as he went soundless. I grinned around a mouthful of cock and I hollowed my cheeks, breathing through my nose and inhaling.

Isaac was trembling beneath my hands now, his shaft vibrating against my lips. I worked my neck muscles, initiating a rhythm of bobbing up and down on his cock. Changing my pace up, fast and slow, deeper and deeper along the length of his cock. I challenged myself, felt the tip of him brush against the recesses of my throat, deeper than I’d ever taken anyone before. I gagged, my eyes watered, but it did nothing to discourage my hunger for him.

But then his hands were on my shoulders, pulling me up to my feet. I resisted for a moment, almost pouting, but the urgency in his movements compelled me. Curious, I found myself drawn back up, level with him. His captivating green eyes were slightly glazed, his cheeks were flushed. The first beads of sweat dotting his forehead, giving it a slight sheen.

His lips found mine again, and I opened wide, drank him all in as he drove his own tongue questing inside my mouth this time. He pushed against me and we stumbled back until my knees and thighs hit the edge of the bed. We fell onto the sheets in a tangled mess of limbs and laughter. We shed clothes with a swiftness that left me breathless.

Or maybe it was just Isaac that left me that way. Who could say? Who could possibly care when his mouth was on my neck, licking and nibbling a path up to my earlobe, sucking it in between two teeth. His hands found my ass, mine found his again. We pulled ourselves flush against each other, as though we were trying to fuse ourselves where we met at the waist, our two hard cocks pressed side by side and quivering so furiously I thought mine would burst just from the friction.

I feel like I was probably panting his name, I kept hearing mine chanted like a mantra, a prayer, and I pumped my hips against his. His whole body was a canvas I wanted to finger-paint on, even if our sweat was all I had to work with. My hands found his chest, squeezed the firm muscles of it. I flicked my nails across the nubs of his nipples, savored the way his head flung back against the pillows in response. Felt turnabout was more than fair play when his exploration of my body produced a similar result.

My breath was coming in short, thunderous gasps now. His own was a furnace as it beat against my skin. His mouth raced along the lines of my bo
dy as though a match to an oil spill, igniting wildfire in its wake. Consuming me, using me all up, but what a way to go.

I reached between us and wrapped my hand around our cocks as best as I could manage, fingers wrapping around both to form a half-closed fist. I rocked rhythmically within the ring made by my hand, sliding up and down against his own sweat-slicked shaft.

Isaac kissed me frantically, the two of us breathing inarticulate sounds and words into each others’ mouths and swallowing them in our kisses. His hands found my ass again, a finger tracing its way down the valley of my ass crack to find my hole, probing it, teasing it. I damn near whited out, spots behind my eyelids, blinding me.

Whining into his lips, my grip on our cocks tightened. He was pumping his hips in harmony with mine now, our cocks sliding up and down against each other. Faster and faster we went, fuelled by our mutual hunger.

I guess I knew now why people called sex the best workout. I was tired but so far away from ever wanting to stop. Sweat was being wrung out of me like a sponge, my lungs were ready to burst as every breath I took was a heady, thunderous gasp. Still we kept going. It felt like a race but with no possible way for either of us to lose. Win-win.

Isaac’s finger kept exploring my ass and I groaned and sank into it. He went just far enough to have me fully fixated on the sensations of him brushing against the sensitive edges of my hole without me having to stop and wonder if further was somewhere I wanted to go right now. It was surreal how in sync I felt with him without a single word exchanged between us. As though we were reading each other’s bodies like words on a page, knowing exactly what the other was telling us as clearly as if it was written directly on our skin.

His finger breached my entrance, just enough to make me gasp and tighten my grip around his waist and our cocks. Every time I drove my hips up and against his cock, my ass pulled ever so slightly away from his finger. Every time I rocked back, I sank back onto it. Over and over, deeper and deeper. My breath came quicker and quicker now, his picking up pace in sympathetic response. I could feel my seed churning in my balls, the sack around them drawing tighter and tighter.

And then it happened, building at the base of my shaft. It was oddly slow, or maybe it was just in slow motion, but it wasn’t a sudden eruption. It was liquid fire rising inch by inch, my scattered thoughts somehow all aware of the orgasm burning up inside me, my walls clamping down on Isaac’s finger like a vice, our breaths being fed back and forth to each other as we literally breathed the same air, cried out in the same voice as we came.

I came first, cum jetting out of my slit and cascading over our shafts and my hand like lava. He wasn’t far behind though, a second or two at most. But where I was a flow of molten liquid dripping down our cocks on all sides and puddling beneath us, he was a cannon, firing spurts of cum against his stomach, against mine, one jet even reaching up to my chest. I felt each impact, felt the shudder of his body climaxing against mine.

There was my name again, being panted over and over again. Desperately. I must have been doing the same, because in that moment his name was a prayer to me. It meant redemption. Salvation.

We pressed our sweaty bodies against each other. It might have been gross, but I didn’t care. Nobody was ever prying me away from this man if I had anything to say about it.

“I love you,” I whispered again, right into his ear. He squeezed me tight.

  “I love you too.”

Nothing more needed to be said.

  Chapter Ten

  Isaac

It was a struggle for both of us to get up in the morning. The bed was so comfortable and laying in each other’s body heat all day instead of going to work was almost too tempting to pass up, but I knew the others would get worried if we didn’t show up for two days in a row. With a groan I pushed myself up. Seth was slowly rousing as well.

  “Good morning,” I said.

  “…rning…” he mumbled.

I leaned in to give him a kiss on the cheek, half of which was smushed into the pillow. “Did you sleep well?” I asked.

“Yeah,” he said. He turned over and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. “Work today?”

“Yes, unfortunately,” I said with a smile.

“Hey, unlike you, I actually like my job,” he said as he sat up. “Besides, now I can tell everyone the big news.”

I cocked an eyebrow. “The news?”

“Yeah. You know, that we’re actually dating now, not just fake dating,” he explained. “Real boyfriends.”

There was a delighted gleam in his eyes that I loved. I kissed him again, this time a chaste one on the lips. Despite it being innocent, it lit up another fire in my gut that I had to push down. It wasn’t the time to get rowdy again right before work.

A sharp indignant squawk rang across the apartment.

“Uh oh,” Seth said. “Looks like Tina’s awake. And jealous.”

I gave a playful sigh as I rolled out of bed. “I better go give her a good morning kiss instead of my boyfriend, then.”

He perked up at being called my boyfriend and shot out of bed after me. “Hey, wait! I want another one! You better save some of those for me!”

Tonight was a special night, not just because it was Seth and I’s first workday as official boyfriends, but because of the calendar. It was the last Friday of the month, and on those days the Fireworks club held a charity event for the local LGBT groups. All the proceeds – entry fees, drinks, food and specific fundraiser items like pins and lanyards – went directly to their pockets to help LGBT youth in our area.

My old bartender – the one I fired after his rude comments about Matty – had called it a bad business decision once because I was losing twelve days of revenue out of the entire year. I had forced myself not to roll my eyes when he said that. I was glad Matty took his place.

“It’s going to be busy tonight,” I reminded Seth as Phoenix escorted us to the building. “Make sure to keep a water bottle with you on stage and take breaks when you need them.”

  “I will,” he said.

“And don’t be afraid to page Phoenix if anyone suspicious tries to approach you,” I said.

  “I won’t.”

Phoenix cracked his knuckles. “I’ll keep you guys safe, don’t worry about it.”

“Thanks,” Seth said, giving him a playful punch on the shoulder. Then his eyes bulged and he wrung out his wrist. “Ow! Why does punching you hurt me?”

Phoenix laughed. “’Cause my muscles are made of steel and you have soft little baby hands.”

A line was already forming outside the building. It was common for charity nights to have more traffic than usual.

“Whoa,” Seth said as we passed. “There’s so many people here and we’re not even open yet. I didn’t know this was such a big event.”

“Yup,” Phoenix said. “It started out small but grew through word-of-mouth. Everyone in the community wants to give back, you know?”

Seth smiled up at me. “It’s really nice of you to do this, Isaac.”

I shrugged. “It’s the least I could do.”

“You really like saying that, don’t you?” he teased. “The least you could do is nothing, but you’re always going above and beyond.”

“Don’t tell him things like that,” Phoenix said with a grin. “Or he’ll get a big head.”

We entered through the back door and found the rest of the employees already setting up. We headed for the bar, where the rest of our friends had gathered.

“Hey!” Nico said as we arrived. “What’s up, lovebirds?”

I blinked and looked at Seth, who shrugged. “Sorry. I was too excited. I had to text him.”

  “Text him what?” Phoenix asked.

I pinched the bridge of my nose in embarrassment. “The big news.”

“What news?” Phoenix said, puffing out his chest. “Nobody ever tells me anything around here!”

“Seth and Isaac are finally dating,” Nico said with a Cheshire grin.

/>   Matty beamed – or at least, he looked as happy as he could, given that he wasn’t very expressive in the first place. Phoenix’s face grew into a huge smile.

“No kidding!” Phoenix slapped me on the back. “Good for you two! It’s about time!”

“About time?” I mumbled. “What does that mean?”

“Well, it was like super obvious you both liked each other,” Nico said. “We were all kind of waiting for it to finally happen for real.”

Suddenly Ryan slid across the bar counter before leaping off. Matty scowled at him and wiped down the surface again.

“Hey, what’d I miss?” Ryan panted.

“The boss is dating your light guy,” Nico said, sidestepping so that Ryan wasn’t in his personal space.

“What?” Ryan squeaked. “Yo, that’s tight. Although I thought you guys were already dating. But whatevs.”

I felt my face turn warm at all the attention and cleared my throat. “Anyway, we have more important business today than our relationship. You all know this is a big night for Fireworks, and attendance seems to increase with every event. Judging from the line outside, this is going to be a huge one. So do your best.”

“You got it, boss,” Ryan said. He saluted before darting off towards the stage.

“I guess I should go join him,” Seth said, turning to me. “I’ll see you later?”

“Yes.” I paused, then leaned over to give him a quick kiss on the lips. He blushed furiously.

“Aww, look at you two!” Phoenix said.

  “Aren’t they cute?” Nico added.

“Oh, be quiet,” I muttered, now also blushing just as hard as Seth. “Get to work, all of you.”

  “Yes, boss,” Nico said, smirking.

“Right away, sir,” Phoenix said with an exaggerated bow, which looked even sillier with how big he was.

Only Matty didn’t have a teasing remark for me. He only smiled slightly from under the rim of his hat as usual.
