The Alpha's Heart
Page 24
A couple more people speak, as my heart fills with more and more love.
This is what like to belong.
My grin spreads from ear to ear as I finish off my last bite of chicken. Noah drops another piece and pokes my cheek.
"You'll need all the energy you can get."
Eve stands up, her head snapping to me as I cower under her burning stare.
"It's time to get ready." She smirks, as goosebumps spread down my arm. Noah kisses my temple and pats my back.
"Good luck."

Moonlight reflects from the surface of the water, illuminating the sky further. The pack stands in a semi- circle surrounding the lake. My light baby blue gown flows with every step I take towards the shore.
Noah's my future and my life partner so he walks the path with me.
Noah holds my hand, leading me to the water as Eve waits for me at the edge. The pack members link arms as I reach her. She stands behind me and raises her arms.
The past generation passing the title on to the new.
She shoves me forward and I shut my eyes tight, trying not to scream as I fall into the water.
The water, the responsibility that come with the title of Luna. It's overwhelming. Drowning.
The water engulfs me, freezing cold as every cell and nerve in my body stands on end.
Relax.
The more you fight the flow of the stream, is the more you fight the position you're in.
My muscles loosens as I hold my breath, floating a drift in the water.
It's peaceful.
And just as it feels right to, turn and face the moon.
I turn in the water, taking a deep breath of air in, as the dress sticks to my skin. The full moon lays directly on top of me.
It's beauty whispers to me like a breeze.
You're not longer alone, my dear child.
I smile.
I'm not.
My body is lifted from the water as Noah scoops me up, an arm under my knees and another supporting my head. He kisses the top of my nose and I blush, as he wades through the water, carrying me.
The journey it takes to mate.
I grab his hand as he suddenly stops. He gently sets down my feet and we continue through the dense liquid together, hand in hand.
And the journey you will take together, in leading the pack, starting a family, and living the rest of your lives together.
We reach the shore in big steps. Eve helps me out of the water while Thomas helps Noah.
The support from your pack.
I shiver as Eve and the rest of the pack howl towards the moon. She turns back to me, hugging my wet self to her chest as I try to open my chattering lips.
"Eliana is officially your Luna!" She grabs my hand, throwing it up in the air as the pack comes running towards me.
Noah wraps his arms around me first, his secret little smile only mine to see.
"This means you're my wife. No more running away, you're really stuck with me." He slurs out, giving me tons of pecks all over my face. I laugh as the pack reaches us, hugging me. More like hugging me, then hugging people hugging me, and it goes on.
"To Eliana! To the Luna!" Kai shouts, and the pack responds loud, rising their fists into the air.
"To Eliana! To the Luna!" They chant. I join in, laughing as Noah holds me up.
I used to think living was a repetitive, boring thing that people did just because they had to. Then I took a chance and decided to live how I wanted to.
The pack stares up at me as a breeze sends shivers through my body, Noah brings me back down.
"Let's go back home?" He suggests a smirk on his face as I roll my eyes.
"Of course."
And as much as I got down on myself and failed, I kept trying. I fought for what I have now.
Tears fall out my eyes as Noah shouts, telling the pack to move. I smile.
I wouldn't ask to do it any other way, if I had the chance.
"I'll make you some hot chocolate, ok?" Noah asks, as the pack follows along side us, back home. I nod.
I'm looking forward to the future.
I'm looking forward to life.
Epilogue
8 YEARS LATER
Noah POV
"3, 2, 1. Ready or not, Mommy's going to find you." Eliana says, as the giggles of our 7 year old son, Tobias, and our 4 year old, Suzy, echo throughout the house. I hide behind the curtains she begins searching, with our 9 month old son, Sebastian in my arms. bed
A game before bedtime. Perfect.
Eliana pulls back our hiding spot. I smirk at her as she does me.
"We find the kids, we get to sleep a little bit earlier." We say in unison, turning on our heels, going opposite directions.
Find one of them, then you find two. All Suzy does it follow him around, with that adorable teddy bear.
She looks so much like her mother, it make me warm inside.
All my kids are products of Eliana and I. Of course they are works of love and magic.
"You're looking for your kids again? They didn't come in here. Maybe they're with your parents." Alyssa says, letting me peek over her shoulder. I shake my head.
" No, my parents are on their fifth trip around the human world. Sorry, are they getting in the way of you and lover boy?"
Werewolves usually don't get mates so late in life but Alyssa found her's. i'm glad to hear her, Eliana, and Beth have more than just me and Xaiver, Beth's mate, to talk about.
"Actually, we love to have them with us. By the way, Aaron's nickname isn't lover boy, yours is." She closes the door gently, probably so she doesn't scare Sebastian. I turn and leave.
Well, it's not a lie. Eliana is so fucking perfect. My beast at everything. Especially when it came to these children.
I don't know what I could do without her. Nothing.
I just want one full night with her again, but kids will be kids.
"I found them." Eliana stands at the top of the the stairs with both Tobias and Suzy in her grasp.
That's what I'm talking about.
She doesn't use her powers as much anymore but she's still my super mom and wife and Luna.
She's my perfect fit.
Eliana POV
Noah lies in bed next to me, staring up into the ceiling as I do the same.
"Has Kai told you about the water system? We had a leak and I-" He cuts me off.
"You ordered a plumber to fix it before the pipes completely rusted. It's all good now. Have you checked in with Hunter about the new real estate id-" I cut him off.
"The new real estate idea you had to rent of certain rooms of half of our properties. Yeah, I checked it and our monthly revenue has nearly doubled." Noah and I sit in silence for a second then burst into laughter.
"We're doing pretty good, aren't we?" Noah says. I nod, snuggling closer into his chest.
"Ever since pretty much everyone got a mate, it's been hard to schedule things and plan shit. Our kids need attention 24/7." I say, against him as he wraps his arms around my waist.
"It's cute to see them all lovey dovey. Remember when we we're a new couple." Noah sing-songs as I pinch his nipple.
"You act the same way you did, 8 years ago." I say, smiling as he flicks my nose.
"Are you complaining?" He asks.
No, but I'd love him no matter how much he changed.
I shake my head against him as he kisses my cheek.
"That's what I thought."
Whatever.
"The kids are growing up fast, aren't they? Tobias is already 7." I say, remembering back to the days I hauled him around in my womb.
"Suzy's 4." Noah adds.
"And Sebastian's 9 months." I finish. Noah shakes his head chuckling as I laugh.
"How did we have three kids? You're amazing." Noah asks, pressing his lips against mine. He slips his tongue in, caressing my thighs and butt as my shirt slowly lifts.
I freeze.
This is exactly how Sebastian ca
me to be. I'm fine with it, but is Noah?
"Noah, wait-" Noah pulls back, breathing heavily.
"Shall we go for our 4th?" He pants. I stare at him, stunned for a second.
"Why not?" With that, he throws off my shirt, touching and kissing me everywhere.
A growing family, a loving husband, and a prospering pack.
How can I not be excited for what's coming next?
