His Undoing

  “Me too.”

“I know you’ve done this a lot but I can’t imagine it ever gets better than this,” I said shyly. I wasn’t naive enough to think that this was special for him. He hooked up with a different guy every night. But, having had fairly boring and uninspired sex just a few hours earlier, I knew I would never experience anything better than that night with Brett.

He rubbed his stubbly cheek against my neck before he spoke again. “I’ve never done that before. I mean, I’ve had sex a few times...not as often as you probably think...but that was incredible. I wonder if that was, you know...” He kissed my ear and caused shivers to shoot down my body and to the tip of my cock, which he was still slowly caressing.

“What?” I didn’t have a clue what he meant. My mind and body were both mush and I couldn’t think of anything but his cock twitching against my balls and his fingers rubbing in the moisture from the tip of my dick.

“Making love,” he said shyly. “I’ve never felt anything like that before. Usually, it’s just a means to an end. And barely better than when I’m by myself. But, with you, it was different.”

He buried his face into my neck and started to rock into me, sheathing his cock between my thighs and balls. He kissed my neck and stroked me firmly until I felt the tightening in my balls that told me I was going to release.

I squeezed my thighs as hard as I could and he pushed into me with opposite pressure as his hand. When I felt the waves of another orgasm take me again, I pushed into him and let out a cry I didn’t think I was capable of.

  “Fuck, Brett.”

He held tightly against my ass and I felt the convulsion of his own release rock through our connected bodies. We didn’t bother to clean up or even speak anymore. We just laid in the evidence of our lust, wrapped together in the most intimate way possible, and fell asleep.

The next morning, I was assaulted by light that filtered into the room and felt the heat from the warm sun and the hot body against me. I smiled without fully waking up. Brett was still spooned against me and his heat enveloped my body and my soul. I felt completely secure in his arms and didn’t want the moment to end.

Unfortunately, my bladder wasn’t as smitten and screamed for its own release. I gently moved his arm off of my waist and pulled my legs out from under his large thigh that was curled over me and slid off the bed.

I slipped on some sweats and grabbed a shirt and towel and headed for the bathroom. I was still recovering and all the physical exertion from the night before left me sore and stiff.

I peed and showered quickly, hoping to get back to the room before Brett woke up. When I returned, he was wearing a pair of shorts and sitting up on the edge of his bed. He peeked up at me when I walked in and then looked away.

He didn’t say a word and I felt a moment of panic. Was he mad at me? Did he regret it? Was he trying to let me down easily now that it was over?

I sat back in the desk chair that I was in the night before and, in a moment of boldness, I rolled between his spread knees and waited for him to meet my gaze.

“I just want you to know that I’m not holding you to anything you said last night. If that was a one-time thing, I understand. I’d be disappointed, but I understand.” I spoke quickly, trying to get it out before I changed my mind.

Brett was more of a one-night stand kind of guy and I didn’t want things to get weird between us. I needed his friendship at least as much as I wanted anything else and I’d do anything to protect what he had.

“I meant everything I said. But, you know, if you’ve decided that this isn’t the right thing for you, I get it. I know you have a girlfriend and all, so that probably means you aren’t looking for a boyfriend,” he said with a forced laugh.

I could tell he was nervous and I wanted to ease his tension so I put my hands on his knees and grinned.

“Boyfriend?” I loved the way that sounded. I’d barely had a girlfriend for a few days but I already knew that I wanted him more than any girl.

“Well, I’d like that...but it’s up to you. You have to tell me what you’re ready for. I’ve known who I am for years. This is brand new for you. I don’t want to push you to decide anything before you’re ready.” He intertwined his fingers in mine and waited for me to respond.

“I’d like that too.” I leaned forward to kiss him and he pulled me back on top of him. If felt so good to have his hard body pressed up against mine. I could still smell sex and sweat on his body and it was intoxicating. I wanted to nuzzle into his neck and stay there forever. “I guess I need to have a conversation with Maggie.”

“Umm hmm.” He hummed while drawing lazy circles on my arm. “What are you going to tell her?”

“The truth. That she’s sweet and beautiful and a great girl....but there is someone else I’d rather be with.”

“Are you going to tell her it’s a guy?” He pulled back to watch my face.

“Probably not. I don’t want to give her a complex or anything but I don’t want to lead her on. And, if you’re trying to keep it quiet, I’m certainly not going to out you.” Saying it out loud seemed to make it more real.

“I don’t care who knows anymore. I’m kinda excited to show you off.” He teased.

“So, really, you want me to be your boyfriend?” I couldn’t control the grin that spread across my face.

“More than anything,” he whispered. “You’d be my first, you know.”

“Hunh.” I couldn’t believe that he was really interested in me. That he wanted me the way that I wanted him. “Cool.”

He laughed and rolled me over so he was covering my whole body with his. The light moment quickly heated up and we spent the next hour exploring each other in the light of day.

  Chapter 8

After an awkward but surprisingly quick conversation with Maggie, we were officially broken up.

She said she really liked me but agreed that there didn’t seem to be all the right chemistry between us and that we’d probably be better friends than lovers. I was relieved that she wasn’t mad because I really did like her.

We continued to study together most afternoons and within about a week of coming by in the evenings, she guessed that Brett and I were more than roommates. She was even pushing the guys and I to finish up the app before the holidays so we could take advantage of all the new electronic purchases that would occur. She was definitely a motivator.

It didn’t take long for me to get well enough to start self defense training. Brett and I worked out at the gym together most afternoons and I took beginner krav maga classes two days a week. He felt better knowing that I could protect myself and I was happy to build up a little bit more muscle mass. Next to him, I’d always feel slightly inadequate but the way he worshipped my body every morning and every night told me I didn’t have any reason to.

As the semester progressed, so did our relationship. We were officially out to all of our friends and no one seemed shocked by the news. I guess our longing stares and casual touches weren’t as subtle as we thought. Everything was still new and confusing at times, but I was happier than I’d ever been.

Bonus Excerpt from More Than Friends:

“I mean that just because I want something doesn’t mean I’m gonna get it, right?” He had an intense look on his face when he leaned forward and rested his chin on his fist. Ryan was getting more certain that the conversation was about him and he had to keep himself from bolting out of the apartment. But, a part of him really wanted to find out for sure.

If Zach was interested in Ryan in more than a friendly way, he needed to know it sooner rather than later. It would be flattering and kinda cool to be the object of someone’s sexual desires but he didn’t swing that way so he needed to know.

“Are you saying there is a guy you’re interested in that you don’t think is into you?” He couldn’t have been any more obvious if he tried. Ryan wasn’t as good at being subtle as he was at being dense. He might as well have just said, “Hey, buddy, do
you want to bone me?”

“That’s exactly what I’m saying.” Zach was watching every move Ryan made. When Ryan reached for his beer, Zach’s eyes tracked the bottle until it reached Ryan’s lips. When Ryan closed his lips around the rim to take a swig, he heard a soft groan come from across the table. He looked over at Zach and noticed a faint blush color his features. But neither guy looked away.

“Well, all I can say is if there is something you want, you should at least ask for it. You never know what the answer might be.” What? What the hell did that mean? Ryan immediately regretted this game he was playing. He was basically telling his new gay friend to proposition him, if he wanted to, but Ryan didn’t actually intend to do anything with him. Well, probably not. He did have a few moments in the shower that morning while he was rubbing one out where he wondered what it would be like to be with a guy. Would it feel as good? Would a guy still feel soft or would he be constantly reminded of the fact that it wasn’t a chick? He was surprised that he came faster in his hand when he was thinking about being with Zach than he had in years while thinking about being with Brooke...or any other women. But, Ryan didn’t attribute that to being into guys. He figured it was just that he had been practically sexually comatose for so long that he was just finally getting back to the land of the sexually interested and his body was ready for action. Any action. Well, maybe any action. He was still on the fence about that.

“Have you ever been with a man?” Whoa. Way to just go for it. Ryan almost choked on his beer but he managed to keep it in his mouth.

“Um, uh, no. I guess I never really thought about it. I mean, I’m not gay or anything so I haven’t really...well, you know.”

“How do you know you’re not if you’ve never tried it?”

“Tried what? Sex with a man?”

“Yeah, I’m not trying to pressure you into anything you don’t want to do but I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t want to fuck you since the moment Drea dragged you in here last week.” Ryan was stunned at this confession. He couldn’t believe that he was actually being asked to have sex with a guy. And was considering it.

“Really? I mean, you were playing your game and I was some weird dude hiding from the police on your couch. Not exactly someone that screams, “Good lay” or whatever it is you scream.” He chuckled to try to diffuse his own tension but it didn’t work. Zach wasn’t letting him off the hook that easily.

“Honestly, I thought you were adorable. It was cute that you were so worried about staying over. When you didn’t follow Dre to her room, I was pretty surprised. She has a lot of guy friends and none of them have ever slept on the couch.” He was less intense now and they were back to being a couple of guys just having a conversation over dinner. Well, over what used to be dinner since they had finished with their food but didn’t want to get up yet.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been called adorable before. And, definitely not by a guy.” Ryan was relaxing a bit. He didn’t know how serious Zach was but he was open minded enough to keep the topic going.

“It shouldn’t matter who says it. Guy or girl. You’ve got a boy-next-door thing going for you that is kinda hot. You’re different from most of the guys I’ve gone out with but there is something that really draws me to you.” He seemed so sincere. His voice was practically a whisper but Ryan knew what he meant. He was feeling the same thing. He didn’t think it was a sexual attraction but he was drawn to Zach and wanted to be around him. Could it mean something more?

“I don’t want to lead you on. I’m not exactly sure what I’m doing here but I think it’s only fair to repeat that I’m not gay. I really like hanging out with you. And I think I understand the attraction you’re talking about but I didn’t come here for anything more than to just hang out. I hope that’s okay.”

“I’m not going to push you but I think you are lying to yourself.” Zach got up from the table and grabbed the last two beers from the fridge. He motioned for Ryan to follow him to the couch. Ryan was nervous but still curious enough to follow him. They went to the opposite side of the couch from where they were studying earlier, each taking a side of a corner so there was at least enough space between them for a third person to sit. Ryan felt that was a safe distance to not be tempting but to not be rude, either.

“What makes you think I’m lying?” He tried to keep the defensive edge out of his voice without sounding whiny. His brain was telling him to just pack up his shit and get the hell out of there. He didn’t need a tutor that badly. But, the rest of him wanted to play it out and see what Zach was actually suggesting. Maybe he was just looking for a buddy too and this was his way of separating the friends from the lovers? Ryan really had no idea what was going on.

“I think that if you were really against it, you would have left a long time ago. Or, that you wouldn’t have shown up for dinner at all.” He was speaking quietly and calmly while Ryan fidgeted with his bottle. Zach scooted a few inches closer to the inside corner of the sectional and his left knee lightly grazed Ryan’s right knee. Ryan’s head popped up and he got caught in Zach’s stare. Again. “And, I think that you want me to make a move. You know that I want to touch you and you’re just debating how far you’ll let me go before your head takes over.”
