Special Forces: Operation Alpha: December Chill (Kindle Worlds Novella) (Sealed With A Kiss Series Book 4)

All the other kids had been happily reunited with their families.
December and Dante had put their relationship on hold for the few weeks while the aftermath was sorted, but they missed each other too much to stay away, so they’d come back together.
Lanore had moved in with another of her children, and Dante and Tamera had moved into an apartment in December’s building, and now their lives were blissfully and irreversibly intertwined. December had begun thinking of Dante and Tamera as her family, and it filled her heart every day.
“I think you should have this cake at your wedding,” Tamera said, looking up at the two of them, her eyes sparkling with youthful hope.
December shot an awkward glance at Dante, whose amusement confused her, then back to Tamera. “I suppose we could.”
“Are you going to want to make your own wedding cake?” Dante asked. “Aren’t you going to be busy enough without that extra responsibility?”
Her eyebrows shot up as she looked at him again. “Um. I don’t know. I hadn’t thought about it.”
“Well, maybe you should,” he said, producing a little velvet box from his pocket and opening it onto a breathtaking vintage-style aquamarine engagement ring. It nearly matched his eyes for color.
“Oh. My. God.”
“Will you marry me, December?”
Other decorators, event staff, and people attending the event too notice and formed a semi-circle around them, and there December stood at the center in her frosting-smeared apron, her hands stained with food dye, looking into the eyes of the man she loved as he asked her to join her life with his.
She had no idea what that life would look like—would he want to continue as a SEAL or could he be happy as a paramedic? Where would they live? Did he want more children? Did she? Could she be Tamera’s mother? Would she be enough for her?
All the questions swirled in her head in that moment, but there was one thing she had no doubt about—she wanted to spend her life with him. They’d figure everything else out together.
“Yes,” she said.
The crowd cheered and clapped as Dante swooped her into a hug.
