Lie For Me

I smiled, turning to give him my most seductive pose. “Better?”

“If it gets any better, I’m going to explode in my pants.”

I stepped toward him, taking the two glasses and the bottle of wine from his hands and putting them on the table. I made sure to bend over far more than was necessary, giving him a great view of my ass. He stalked toward me, spreading one of his large hands over my butt and squeezing. I stood up, leaning against his chest and rubbing my ass against the erection straining to be free.

“Are you going to jingle my bells?” I asked him in a sultry voice.

His mouth nibbled at my ear, his hands running up and down my legs and over the fur-trimmed panties. “I might be a little buzzed, but I will absolutely jingle your bells.”

I gasped when he reached his hand around, splaying it on my stomach and jerking me back against his hard cock. The bells on my hips tinkled. He thrust against me, jangling the bells again.

“I need you naked,” I groaned. I was wet and aching to have him inside me.

“Don’t move and don’t take off that outfit,” he ordered.

“It might get in the way,” I told him.

“I’ll get around it. Trust me. With as hard as I am, I’ll push right through that flimsy fabric.”

His harsh words sent a shiver down my spine. I turned around to watch him strip off his clothes. He wasted no time getting naked. His erection was standing proud as he stepped toward me. I reached down and encircled him with my hand. The raw power I felt pulsing through him made me heady.

I kissed him, holding him in my hand and stroking his hard dick before I pulled away from his mouth and dropped to my knees in front of him. I looked up, staring into his eyes and smiled. “Ho, ho, ho,” I whispered before closing my mouth over the cock in my hand.

I slid my tongue down the long length, lapping and sucking him. He pulled off my hat and tossed it to the floor before running his hands through my hair. I was beyond aroused. Sucking on him made me feel powerful and sexy. I felt empowered listening to his grunts and groans of pleasure.

“Up,” he ground out the word so low I barely heard him. “Up.”

I got to my feet and wiped my mouth while looking into his eyes. “Something wrong?” I asked him.

“Everything is right. Too right. Too good. I’m barely holding myself together here.”

I ran my fingertip over his chest and felt him jerk. “But I wasn’t finished,” I pouted.

“I’m going to finish if your sweet mouth keeps sucking on me.”

“You keep talking like that and I’m going to finish,” I told him. My belly felt like there was molten lava bubbling and spilling between my legs. I was so hot. I couldn’t blame it on the alcohol. The man made me squirm in the best way.

He reached for me, spinning me around and wrapping an arm around my waist. He slowly moved toward the front door. His body pressed against mine. He reached for one hand and placed it on the door before doing the same for the other.

“Don’t move,” he whispered close to my ear.

He nudged his knee between my legs, forcing me to spread them. I was breathing hard, anxious for what would happen next. I was so close to an orgasm; I feared the first touch would send me over the edge.

He trailed a finger down my spine, flicking the bra clasp and freeing my breasts. His finger continued their path down my spine to my lower back before he dropped a kiss where his finger had been. My legs were shaking so badly, I was afraid I would crumble to a heap on the floor.

His hands moved over my thighs, a gentle caress that sent gooseflesh spreading over my skin from tip to top. I whimpered, my body desperate for him. He pushed his body close to mine, the hair on his chest brushing over my exposed back. I shuddered with the intimate touch. He clamped down on my neck, his teeth grazing over my skin while he gently suckled.

I moaned, moving my head to the side and silently asking for more. While he nuzzled my neck, he slid his hand over my belly and under the velvet panties. I stiffened, waiting for the moment his fingers would flutter over my clit. When he made the first touch, I jerked, my body already weeping with need.

“Yes,” I breathed the word, letting the fervor grab ahold of me.

“Yes, what?” he asked close to my ear.

  “Yes, please.”

“Do you want me to put my finger inside you?” he asked.

His crassness turned me on even hotter than I had been. “Yes,” I whimpered.

“Like this?” he whispered, sliding one long finger inside me.

I moaned, my head dropping back to rest on his shoulder.

“What about this?” he asked, pushing a second finger inside me.

My body jerked, my pelvis pushing against the invading fingers and taking him deeper inside me. “You. Your cock. I want it inside me.”

He growled low in his throat, his fingers moving in and out. “You make me crazy,” he whispered, his fingers moving faster and faster. “You make me come so hard I feel like I’m scraping across the clouds. I want to fuck you like this all the time. I want to hear you moan with pleasure and call out my name.”

I was barely hanging on to reality. My body was winding up for a climax I knew was going to make me do all those things he just said. “Oh god,” I breathed.

“Say it, Cadence. Say my name.”

“Gabriel,” I breathed, the name triggering a response deep inside my very soul. “Gabriel,” I said it again much louder.

“That’s it,” he growled, his hand moving to my hair. He grabbed handfuls, holding my head steady as his fingers slid over my clit until I was crying out and spasming against him.

His fingers rested inside me while my orgasm slowly waned. “I need you inside me,” I breathed. “I’m not done.”

“You are not even close to being done.”

Despite his promise to leave the panties on, he stripped them off me. The bells clattered as they hit the floor. He moved in close, strategically placing my hands on the door and guiding himself to my opening before plunging in deep. I moaned as his body filled mine. I loved that first slide in when he stretched me and filled me. He completed me. He made me feel whole.

“Hard, Gabriel. I want all of you.”

“If I nail you as hard as I’m dying to, I might just put you through that door.”

I shuddered with elation. “Do it!”

He roared, his body moving fast as he rocked against me. His power and strength were driving into me, pushing me against the wooden door that had no give. I cried out, slapping the wood as he fucked me hard and without holding back.

I felt my body erupt around him, squeezing him and pulling him in as his thrusts slowed. He grabbed my hips, his fingers digging into my flesh as he exploded inside me. His hips jerked against me. My cheek pressed against the wall as he had his way with my body that I had freely given him.

He pulled out, leaving me feeling empty and spent. His strong arms wrapped around me, pulling me into his arms. I could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He held me close for several long seconds. “You okay?”

“I’m so much better than okay,” I told him.

He stepped away, kissing me firmly. “I would love for you to be able to stay the night. There are so many more things I would love to do with your body.”

I chuckled. “It’s so late and those girls are going to be up very early.”

“I’m willing to sacrifice a little sleep if it means I get to be with you.”

  I smiled. “Me too.”

“Stay another fifteen minutes?” he asked softly.

I chuckled, knowing fifteen minutes was going to be so much longer than that. “Sure. I’ll sleep another time.”

He reached down and picked me up, carrying me to the bed and gently laying me down. It was almost an hour later when I lay gasping for air after another round with him.

“Good lord,” he breathed. “I don’t think I’m going to be walking very well tomorrow.”

  I
laughed. “You? I had my knees at my ears. I feel like Gumby.”

His deep laughter warmed my soul. “You are one flexible woman. I can’t wait to see what other ways you can bend.”

“It’s the bed. This bed was not meant for sex.”

He rolled to his side and dropped a kiss on the tip of my nose. “I don’t know about that. I think we did just fine.”

I sighed, not wanting to leave but knowing I was going to be sorry if I didn’t. “I better go.”

  “Merry Christmas,” he said.

I laughed. “Yes, I would definitely call it merry.”

He got off the bed and helped me up. I picked up the scattered clothing and dressed for the short jaunt to the other cabin. He pulled on a pair of underwear and insisted on walking me to his front door. “You’re going to freeze,” I warned him.

“I need to cool down,” he said with a laugh. “You got me overheated.”

I giggled softly. I felt so light and free when I was with him. “Goodnight,” I whispered, not wanting to disturb the girls that would be sleeping on the couch.

He kissed me goodnight. “Goodnight. See you in a couple of hours.”

I walked inside and went into his room and crawled into his bed. I felt like I had just been through one of the longest yoga classes. My body was stretched and completely sated. It took me less than two minutes to pass out with a smile on my lips.

  Chapter 29

  Gabriel

I awoke to giggles and soft knocking. I blinked several times, trying to clear my head. I wasn’t in my bed. I had a tiny bit of a hangover. I rubbed my eyes and heard the knocking again. My head felt foggy, like I had cobwebs clinging to my eyes making everything hazy and disjointed. Nothing was right.

“Oh shit,” I mumbled, realizing it was Christmas morning and I had not gotten up as early as I had hoped. I held my wrist up to my face, hitting the button for the light on my watch to see what time it was. I would never forgive myself if I slept through my first Christmas with kids.

“Dammit!” I growled, when I saw it was after six. I threw off the blanket and immediately realized I was naked. “Shit.”

I scrambled to find my clothes, pulling on my pants without my underwear and rushed for the door. I pulled it open to find Laura and the girls standing on the tiny porch. Both girls looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to party. Laura was already dressed as well.

Laura looked at me, one brow raised. I realized I was shirtless, but there was nothing to do about it. “It’s Christmas,” she announced.

I nodded. “Yes. Sorry. I, uh, I overslept a little.”

“It’s time to open presents!” Autumn exclaimed.

“Can I have two minutes to put on a shirt and some shoes?” I asked. “I promise it won’t take me long. I will not make you hold up your Christmas.”

Laura smiled. “I think we can give you three minutes. Cadence seems to be having some problems getting up this morning as well. She was just getting out of bed when we came over here. We’ll meet you guys there.”

I wasn’t sure if I was blushing, but I felt like I was. I felt like a teenager who’d just been caught messing around by his mother. Or her mother. A mother in general. “Uh, I don’t think you’re supposed to go in the dining hall,” I muttered. I had no business telling her where she could or couldn’t go, but I hoped she would understand.

“Of course not, we’ll go see if Cadence is ready. You go ahead and take a few minutes to get yourself together.”

I knew I was blushing then. “Thanks. Sorry. I promise it won’t take me but a couple of minutes.”

  “Hurry, Gabriel!” Autumn ordered.

“Don’t be sorry,” she said with a small laugh. “I’m happy to know it was a good night. Or morning.”

I closed the door and stripped off my pants to properly redress. It took me just under three minutes to change but then I decided to brush my teeth to avoid assaulting anyone with my dragon breath. I made quick work of it, going more for the minty fresh feeling rather than the actual cleansing of the teeth. I slipped my feet into my boots, not bothering to tie them while running my fingers through my hair.

I rushed outside, realized I forgot my jacket, and ran back in to grab it. I was shrugging it on and running for the dining hall. I was supposed to have gotten up early to start the fire and make the cocoa and turn on all the lights. I felt horrible for ruining the magic of Christmas morning.

I plugged in the lights first before rushing to the fireplace to start the fire. I had just gotten it going when I heard the girls’ loud chatter. I glanced around, making sure everything was in place. I was glad we had taken care of the preparations before scurrying off to my cabin.

The door opened, the cold air whipping into the room as the girls rushed toward the Christmas tree to inspect the pile of wrapped gifts under it.

“Santa found us!” Autumn shouted. “Look, Mom! He brought presents.”

Laura and Cadence came in behind them. I took one look at Cadence and felt a little guilty for keeping her up late. Her curly hair was pulled into a haphazard ponytail and her eyes had dark circles under them. She was wearing what could have passed for pajamas, but I suspected it was more of one of those versatile outfits of leggings and a long plaid shirt. Her feet were shoved into a pair of Bear Paws. I thought she looked beautiful. I liked the natural look. I liked knowing that the exhaustion she was feeling was to be blamed on me keeping her up late. It made me feel very possessive and manly.

“Coffee?” she asked, looking my way with eyes that were still heavy with sleep.

“Didn’t get that far,” I told her with a small smile. “It appears I slept a little later than I had planned to.”

“I’ll get the coffee going,” Laura said. “You two get those girls situated. I’ll be back with the coffee and a trash bag.”

  “Thanks,” Cadence mumbled.

“What do we do?” I asked Cadence, feeling completely out of my element. I watched the girls hovering around the tree like little honeybees swarming a beautiful flower.

She looked at me and smiled. “We get out of the way.”

The girls were already making two piles, sorting through the names on the tags. I watched them move, their excitement palpable. They were wearing matching red, footed pajamas, looking like mini versions of Cadence as they bobbed and weaved around each other in their haste to get to all the gifts.

“Done!” Autumn exclaimed. “Can we open them now?”

“Wait for Nanny,” Cadence said with more patience than I could have exhibited.

Laura came into the room carrying a tray with three cups of very strong coffee. Cadence and I both reached for cups before sipping the hot liquid down my throat. I closed my eyes, savoring the taste and letting it roll through my veins. When I opened my eyes, things looked clearer and brighter. The caffeine had chased away the cobwebs.

“All right!” Laura said, putting the tray on a table. “Let’s do this!”

Cadence and I took a seat, Laura standing with her trash bag at the ready. I watched with awe as the girls tore into their gifts, squealing and screaming with delight. It was magical. I watched their animated faces as they held up their unwrapped gifts. It was like they were speaking their own language, both of them talking fast and in incomplete sentences.

“Wow,” I said when the frenzy began to ebb. I had barely gotten through with my first cup of coffee when they were through opening the presents. I noticed a gift under the tree. “You forgot one.”

Both girls looked at Cadence, who gave them a nod. “Go ahead.”

Hazel got to her feet and picked up the gift. Autumn followed behind her as they both walked toward me.

I looked at them, then Cadence. “What’s going on?”

“This is for you,” Hazel said, handing me the box.

“For me?” I asked, shocked and moved at the same time.

“I helped pick it out,” Autumn said with a grin.

“Thank you,” I said, my voi
ce raspy.

  “Open it,” Hazel ordered.

I took the box and slowly began to pull the paper off. Cadence cleared her throat. It was only then I realized what I was doing. “Sorry,” I said with a sheepish smile.

I tore the paper off, opening the box to find a Swiss army knife. Well, a version of a Swiss army knife. I picked it up and smiled. “You guys, this is awesome!”

“Do you like it?” Autumn asked.

“I love it! I’m going to carry this wherever I go. It is so handy. Do you guys know what this is?”

Hazel nodded. “You said you used to have one and lost it. It is a little knife and scissor and a tiny screwdriver thing.”

“This is a very good tool to have when you’re in the forest. Thank you, guys. This is spectacular.”

Both girls were beaming. I was damn near moved to tears. I looked at Cadence, who was smiling at me with a strange look on her face. I had a feeling she was having a moment as well. I sure as hell was. My heart felt like it would explode in my chest with the joy I felt.

  “You’re welcome,” Autumn said.

“So, what did you guys get?” I asked them.

My one question resulted in a flurry of conversation. I could barely keep up. They were bringing me their gifts, telling me about them and chatting away. Laura and Cadence were getting bombarded as well.

“Autumn, let’s play with our new dolls in the playhouse,” Hazel said, picking up a few of the dolls they had gotten for Christmas.

“I’ll make some hot chocolate and get out the muffins and donuts,” I said, getting up. I slid the multitool into my pocket. It would always be in my pocket. I couldn’t remember the last time I had gotten a gift. Actually, I could. It had been the last Christmas I spent with my parents. I had gotten little things here and there from girlfriends, but I had never gotten an actual gift wrapped in festive paper.

  “I’ll help,” Cadence offered.

“I’ll take care of the mess,” Laura said, sounding way too happy to be doing it.

I was glad I was going to have a moment alone with Cadence. I walked into the pantry and grabbed the hot chocolate mix. “How are you?” I asked Cadence.
