  “Ridge,” she whimpers.

  “Fucking right, who else?”

“Just you, my devil,” she sighs.

I grunt, continuing to finger her until she’s panting, until her cunt flutters and I know that she’s close. Her thighs shake and I pull out of her abruptly. I can’t set the liquor down, and I can’t hold it, finger her, and hold her up at the same time.

She spins around, taking the bottle from my grip before she takes a pull herself, then she wordlessly sets it down on a small upturned crate next to the bed. I watch as she crawls on the bed. Her ass in the air, facing me, her thighs spread again.

“I want your eyes,” I grunt. “I want you to see who makes you come.”

“Is there someone else who makes me come?” she asks softly as she turns around.

I watch as she reaches for her tits, cupping them before she tugs on her nipples with a small smirk. Shaking my head once, I close the distance between us as I start to undress.

  “Never again,” I snort.

“Not even myself?” she sighs as she slides her fingers down her belly. I watch as they disappear between her legs. It’s sexy as fuck, but no, she’s not going to be making herself come, not anymore.

Reaching for her wrist, I wrap my fingers around her and tug her hand away. “Only me, babe. I might tell you to get yourself the rest of the way, but you only come when I’m right here,” I rasp.

She leans forward, touching her lips to mine. “God, that’s sexy. I’m just glad you said I was never going to be out of your sight again, I’m thinking if you went on a run or something, I might break your rule,” she breathes.

Grinning, I nip her bottom lip. “Even if I did, rules still apply. Guess you could get yourself off on the phone with me, maybe FaceTime that shit,” I say against her lips.

“Fuck,” she breathes. “I need you, my devil.”

Wrapping my hands around the backs of her thighs, I pull her so that her back bounces against the mattress. Reaching for her thighs, I wrap my fingers around the inside and push them wide. Leaning forward, I surge inside of her, burying my dick completely.

  “God,” she moans.

  “Your devil,” I correct.

Without another word, I fuck her. I slam into her over and over again, rolling my hips so that my pelvis grinds against her clit on each downstroke. Her tits bounce with each thrust, my eyes flick between her pussy taking my dick and her bouncing tits.

Goddamn, she’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen, sexiest too. So goddamn sexy. Nobody else can even have a taste of her, I won’t let them. I’ll kill anyone who tries. It doesn’t take long, her body already primed for her to find her release.

Leaning over her, I fuck her harder until I finally reach my own climax, filling her with my cum before I groan and collapse against her chest.

“Ridge,” she sighs, her fingernails grazing my bare back.

My lips taste the side of her neck. “Love you, beautiful. I’m not goin’ anywhere. You have to just trust me until I give you reason not to.”

  “I’m terrified,” she whispers.

  “Yeah, me too.”

Admitting it aloud, it’s more than I have ever done before. But it’s the truth. I’m terrified of fucking her over, of fucking up. I’m also terrified of not only ruining her life, but potentially ruining the lives of our unborn children.

There are so many ways that I can fuck her up and fuck her over, I know I’m capable of them all too. It’s goddamn scary as fuck. I’m man enough to admit that shit, at least to myself.

  Chapter Twenty-Eight

  TRISTA

Taz falls asleep almost instantly. He slips his legs between my thighs from behind, wraps his arm around my belly and buries his face in the back of my neck. I can feel his heavy breaths against my skin, but I can’t sleep. My mind is spinning, everything from earlier replaying on a loop in my head.

The thought of what Dragon is promising, it makes my entire body tremble with not only disgust, but fear.

Where will he get these women, some of them still children?

Will he kidnap them from their families?

Will he take the troubled youth and offer them something that he can’t and won’t be willing to provide?

  It all makes me sick.

Pinching my eyes closed, I inhale deeply before I exhale. I try to calm myself, but I fail. My body is wound tight, too tight. No amount of sex and orgasms is going to calm me down right now.

I stay awake for the rest of the night, waiting for the sun to rise so we can just get the fuck out of here. So, I can get away from everyone. So, I can see Avah and make sure she’s okay.

Ridge starts to stir and I let out a sigh. Finally, finally he’s awake and we can go. “You didn’t sleep all night, did you?” his husky voice asks.

Rolling over in his arms, I look up into his eyes and smile softly. “How did you know?”

“Thought wearing you out would be enough, but I should know better. You’re a thinker. You’ve always been that way. So caught up in your head, analyzing what’s going to happen next that your mind doesn’t stop working.”

Pressing my lips together, I don’t speak. He’s right, but also, this is so much bigger than just my own thoughts taking over. This is Dragon and the Savage Beasts taking teenagers and giving them to a man who is going to sell them into a short lifetime of abuse and agony. I can’t agree with that, nobody in their right mind could.

“I just can’t get behind what’s happening. I can’t just sit there while everyone calmly discusses it,” I say softly.

Ridge lifts his hand, tucking some of my hair behind my ear. His lips are in a flat line as his eyes search mine. “Nobody is doing it, babe. I honestly don’t think Dragon has it in him. He’ll think about it and we’ll figure something out. We’re not the best men in society, but we ain’t those kinds of men either.”

“God, I hope not,” I breathe.

He shakes his head once, leaning forward his lips brush mine before he lets out a sigh. “Let’s get out of here, we’ll stop by the diner at the border for breakfast.”

My entire body perks up at the offer. I’m starving and not just a little hungry, I’m gnaw on someone’s arm starving. Thinking back, I can’t even remember the last time that I ate. Smiling up at him, I nod once.

  “Okay.”

His lips twitch into a small smile. “My girl, always hungry.” He chuckles.

“I could lie, but it’s easier just to admit that I am,” I say with a shrug before I slide out of bed.

It doesn’t take me long to go to the bathroom. I find a tube of toothpaste that looks as though it’s seen better days and put some on my finger. Hurrying, I rub my finger around my mouth before I shimmy my clothes on and head back toward Ridge.

“You okay?” a deep voice asks from the hall as soon as I step out of the bathroom.

Turning my head to the side, my body jerks slightly. I let out a sigh, realizing that it’s just Bones. “I’m okay,” I lie.

He snorts, pushing off of the wall. “You aren’t, but you will be. Taz’ll make sure you’re all good.”

  “Yeah,” I sigh.

Turning from him, I pause when I hear him call out my name. Looking back over my shoulder, I wait for him to speak. I don’t know him well, our clubs weren’t friendly until recently and it’s weird to even be in his presence, let alone at his clubhouse.

“Deep down, their club and ours, we’re good men who do bad things. The Punchers, those are bad men who do bad things. There’s a big fucking difference there. Dragon was only thinking of his wife and children last night, he’ll wake up and change his mind. Man like him won’t be down for what the Punchers are asking,” he murmurs.

  “I hope you’re right,” I whisper.

Bones snorts. “Bitch, I know I am.”

Shifting back around, I leave him alone in the hall and make my way toward Ridge who is waiting for me in the guestroom. When I slip inside of the room, I’m not surpris
ed to see that he’s dressed and ready to go.

“You talk to Bones? What’d he have to say?” he asks, his voice low and almost lethal sounding.

Lifting my hand, I run my fingers through my hair to attempt to get rid of some knots. “He said that Dragon and the rest of the clubs wouldn’t really go through with everything. I just hope he’s right. That you’re right.”

Ridge closes the short distance between us, wrapping his hands around my hips and tugs me against his body. He grins, looking down at me before he lowers his head and brushes his lips across mine.

“Let’s get you fed and get back home. You can take care of your girl and I can make sure these fucks do the right thing.”

“So you’re going to be the one who makes them do the right thing?” I ask, arching a brow.

Ridge’s lips turn up into a smirk. “Fuck no. But I seriously don’t think anyone wants this to go through, we just have to think of an alternative plan.”

“I hope you guys can. I don’t want anyone to get hurt, not a single soul.”

There’s a moment of silence as Ridge just watches me, his eyes roaming over my face before he shakes his head once.

“War is ugly, babe. Sometimes it’s real fuckin’ ugly. If this comes to that, people will get hurt, people will die too. It’s inevitable.”

Sliding my hands up his chest, I wrap my fingers around the sides of his neck and let out a small whimper. “I really hope that doesn’t happen.”

“We’re all gonna try our hardest not to let that happen at all, beautiful.”

I tilt my head back, my eyes focused directly on his. “You’ll succeed, my devil, because you know it would kill me if you failed.”

  TAZ

  Fuck.

  Fucking shit.

Diner food consumed. Trista safely delivered to the clubhouse and locked inside a bedroom with her best girl, I’m now sitting in the conference room with the rest of my brothers and discussing goddamn human trafficking.

“What the absolute fuck were you thinking?” Eagle shouts.

Dragon’s body jerks. “You know, I was stupidly thinking about your wife, my wife, and all of our babies. Call me a goddamn selfish prick, but I was thinking I didn’t want to see all my men lose the women that they actually give a fuck about.”

Silver growls from his seat, but doesn’t say anything. He said his piece last night, and he’s made it very clear he wants no part of this shit, he doesn’t even want a vote on it. I don’t blame him, I don’t either.

“How are you going to fix this?” Wolfe asks.

Dragon sinks back in his chair. “I don’t know,” he admits. “I don’t hate the idea of simultaneous destruction of their clubhouses and their actual personal homes, but the collateral damage, it feels wrong,” he admits.

“Won’t feel wrong to them,” Silver grunts.

  “We ain’t them,” I state.

The rest of the men grunt their agreement. We aren’t the Donkey Punchers, never will be. We aren’t much better than them, but we are not them at all. Hurting young girls, that’s just not our style and Dragon knows it.

“I’m open for suggestions because right now I only see two options,” he admits. “We either do what they want this one time, or we fuck them up, and their families, and wipe them off the face of the earth once and for all.”

“Right as we finally get our mattress and dope shipments handled, this shit happens,” Hawk mumbles.

“Whatever you decide, I’ve been stocking up on our personal firepower since the threat of Ramos landed at our feet,” I remind them.

Dragon shakes his head once, then rises to his feet and leans over the table. “We got less than twenty-four hours to make a decision. I got a call into Santoro, I’m just waiting for him to call me back. I’ll ask if he has any ideas, but since he deals in skin, I would assume he won’t really give much of a fuck.”

We all watch Dragon walk out of the room, ignoring everyone and not even calling the meeting to a close. Sighing, I turn toward Mountain. He’s the vice president, he’s got to have some kind of fucking idea of what to do.

“Don’t look at me, I’m as fucking lost as the rest of y’all,” Mountain grunts.

Standing, I lean over the table and look from brother to brother. I shake my head once. “We’re better than this. If we give up, then honest to fuck, we’re goddamn trash. I don’t know about you, but I do know that I won’t be able to look at myself in the mirror, let alone at my woman again.”

  “Me either,” Silver mutters.

  “Yup,” Eagle snorts.

  “Agreed,” Wolfe mumbles.

“So, what do we do to fix this shit?” I ask. “Because standing around holding our dicks isn’t getting it done.”

Silver chuckles at the same time Mountain sinks down in his chair. “We stay here until we have some kind of fucking plan.”

The rest of us nod our head in agreement, but nobody says a goddamn word. Not a single fucking person, because we’re all feeling the same fucking way—defeated.

  So goddamn defeated.

Closing my eyes, I sink down in my own chair, lean back and let out a sigh. This is all too fucking much. All of it. What the Punchers expect from us, what Dragon promised. It’s too fucking much.

“I vote we just don’t do it. Let’s just go to war and win,” Hawk says, his voice rumbling.

“Wow, you shit rainbow sherbet too? I mean if we’re in a goddamn fairy tale, you must, right?” Mountain asks. “You haven’t even been here in twenty goddamn years and now you’re trying to voice your fucking idea that will lead to a war? Go fuck yourself.”

There’s a moment of silence before Hawk stands to his feet. “Fuck you,” he barks. “You think I don’t get enough shit? My daughter fucking hates me, I’m a stranger in my own club and now I can’t even speak in church? I’m not a traitor here, never was.”

He turns and walks away from the table, out the door and if I had to guess straight toward the bar.

“Pissing each other off isn’t going to help us, the more heads we have in on this the better,” Eagle murmurs.

“I ain’t Hawk’s biggest fan, but I agree,” Silver says with a nod. “The more heads the better.”

“Call Bones, get his top guys here. Let’s really do this right,” I suggest.

Eagle’s lips curve up into a smile. “That’s the best suggestion I’ve heard. Get Dragon back in here and have him call those Italians on speaker too. Let’s get all our heads together, between all of us, we should be able to get this handled. If we can’t, then we don’t deserve this club.”

Everyone cheers with simultaneous fist pumps, then we go about bringing our president back inside, Hawk inside, and calling those crazy goddamn Skulls over.

  Chapter Twenty-Nine

  TRISTA

Avah has her back to me. She’s curled in a small ball in the middle of a bed. I take a step toward her. Careful not to make a lot of noise, I close the door behind me and decide to flip the lock closed. I don’t want anyone to come in here, not if Avah needs privacy.

  “Avah?” I call out softly.

She turns her body to her back and looks at me. The look in her eyes is dead, it’s frightening. “Avah,” I whisper.

“He didn’t hurt me, not like that,” she says flatly.

My feet quickly carry me toward the bed and I sink down next to her on the edge. My fingers itch to touch her, to hold and comfort her. She pushes herself up, resting her back against the wall before she brings her knees up and wraps her arms around them, shielding herself.

  “What happened?”

She shakes her head, then rests her cheek against her knees and closes her eyes. “He kidnapped me. Slapped me around a little, but mostly threatened me. He kept saying he was going to rape me, and you know what? I thought to myself, what does it matter if he does? I literally sell my body, why would it matter if he just took and didn’t pay.”

“Avah,” I wheeze, my lungs losing oxygen, my body una
ble to breathe from her words.

She shakes her head. “I can’t believe I even thought that. Two years ago, I would have died if a man forced himself on me. Here I was resigned and rationalizing rape in my head. And I was talking you into this life, when you clearly love that man. I’m a terrible person,” she whimpers as tears fall from her eyes.

“You are not a terrible person. You never forced me to do anything. I enjoyed the money, and I can’t deny that I enjoyed the attention. Taz gave me limited attention before I left here. He’s the only man I’ve ever loved and he couldn’t even look at me unless we were alone. He refused to be anything other than casual. You didn’t force me into anything, I wanted it all and I would have done more if he hadn’t have wanted to keep me.”

“Keep you?” she asks. “Like an animal?”

Shaking my head once. “No, like his wife. This life, it’s not typical for the rest of the world. They claim women, they mark them as theirs. We’re their property, but there are women who would die to be one of theirs.”

“Would you? To be his, would you sell every fiber of your being, would you die?” she asks.

Pressing my lips together, I shake my head once. “Don’t think because I belong to him that I’ve lost my ability to think for myself. I haven’t. He doesn’t do whatever the fuck he wants and neither do I. We’re in a relationship.”

She closes her eyes for a moment, then shakes her head once. “I’m being a bitch. I’m sorry, it’s just different and I’m feeling really sorry for myself on top of it all.”

“Get yourself together and come out to the bar. Have a drink, see for yourself.”

“They have whores here, right?” she asks softly.

My body jerks, then I reach for her ankle and squeeze it gently. “They’re called whores. They choose to be here. Just like we chose what we did,” I whisper.

She inhales a deep breath, then lets it out on a sigh. “Do you have something I can wear? That asshole didn’t let me pack anything.” Avah’s lips turn up into a small grin.
