The Trouble With Two Alpha's

“Will I be able to work outside of the house?”

“I suppose so. You will have to stay close to home. I mean you can’t work far away from the house. Like in another town over from where your pack is working. Most likely your mate will want you to work for one of his companies.”

“In other words, he will want to watch me work. He will want to be able to tell me what to do.” I am not going to live like that. I won’t be told what to do all the time.”

“I get that your independent. However, being an Alpha’s mate comes with some… dangers. If another wolf should pick up your scent and realize you have been claimed by an alpha, they will try to take you from your alpha mate. It is the easiest way to hurt an alpha. The easiest way to take his pack from him. The easiest way to kill him.”

“Great so your saying I will become a big target. Just freaking great. Any more good news you want to tell me?” She was wanting to run more and more all the time. This wolf mate thing didn’t sound appealing to her.

“Gabi I won’t let anyone hurt you. My pack won’t let anyone hurt you. That is as long as you listen to us. If you pay attention to what we are telling you and learn the way of the wolf, you will be all right. I am sure Miles and his pack will do the same. No wolf would ever let anything happen to his mate. Mates are too far and few. And soul mates like we are, they are hardly ever found. You have no idea just how special you are. I only wish I could make you see”

I wish I understood it all too. They have no idea how hard this is for me. I know Jack and Miles want me to believe them. But, how can I? For all I know, they’re each telling me what they want me to think is true. Maybe they think what they are telling me is what I need to hear to get me in their beds.

That night Jack sent one of his pack members out to find a wolf pup for Gabi. He would give it to her in the morning.

Gabi lies in bed all night thinking about everything she has been told. How was she supposed to know what was true and what was not? She wondered if she could find anything online that might help her figure out what was real. Did werewolves have a website?

Miles called while she was lying in bed thinking.

  “Hello?”

“My love, how are you doing?”

  “Miles?”

  “Yes. Are you ok?”

“I was just wondering if there was any kind of website or book or some way of me finding out the truth about werewolves, other than what you and Jack are telling me.”

“There are a few. I could tell you how to find what you’re looking for. Do you have a computer I don’t remember seeing one when I was in the house.”

“No, but I think I will pick one up tomorrow.”

“Do you have something to write on? I will give you a couple of addresses to look up when you get your computer.”

He told her what to write down so she could look up the information she was wanting to know. He understood she didn’t trust him or Jack yet. He thought she was being very smart.

He sent someone into town to find a store that was open all night and had them purchase her a good computer. It would be left beside the wolf pup on her porch for her to find in the morning.

Miles and Gabi talked for a couple of hours. He heard her start to yawn and figured it was time for her to get some sleep.

“Love I can tell you tired. I will let you go for now. Get some sleep. I will call you tomorrow. If you should need me, you have my number.”

  “Thanks Miles.”

Miles knew where some wolf pups were. He told one of his pack members to go fetch one for her. He would slip in and leave it on her porch. If she wanted a pup, he would get it for her.

  Chapter 22

Gabi got up early before Jack knocked on her door. She was a little surprised she made it up before he was there. Normally he was waking her up before she was ready to get up.

She took her shower, then headed out on the porch to sit. When she opened the front door, she found her surprise. The first thing she saw was the wolf pup with a big red bow around its neck.

“Oh, how cute. Where did you come from, little one.” She reached down and picked up the pup. It was adorable. She looked to see if she had a girl or boy. It was a big boy. “Well, what shall we name you? My very first pet. I am so glad to have you. Welcome home. I will have to thank Jack for you. I guess now I know why he didn’t wake me up. You and I will be best friends. What to call you?” She nearly tripped over the box before she noticed the computer.

“Oh wow. It looks like someone listened to what I needed. I wonder…” She found a note attached to the box.

“My love I didn’t want you to have to use your money. I got the best one I could find. I hope you know how to hook it up. If you don’t call and I will walk you through it. Or if you want, I could always come hook it up for you. I hope you like your other surprise as well. The wolf is six weeks old. He was just weaned. Let me know if you need anything else.” It was signed Miles.

“Well, it looks like I had the wrong person in mind when I found you. I will have to call him and thank him. Come on inside buddy. Hey, I could call you Buddy. No, that doesn’t sound like a good name for a big bad wolf. All though I don’t see you being a bad wolf. You will be a good wolf. I’m sure something will come to mind.”

She put the pup down, then carried the computer inside. The pup followed her. She was so happy to see him follow her into the house. He was the cutest puppy she had ever seen. He was hers and she liked him a lot. She picked up the phone and called Miles.

  “Yes?”

“Thank you. Thank you so much. I love the puppy. He is perfect. I have never had a pet before. I have always wanted one. I don’t know how you knew but he is the best gift anyone has ever given me. And thanks for the computer. It was very nice of you.”

“Anything for you my love. I am glad it made you happy. I like to make you happy. Do you know how to hook the computer up or do you need help?”

“I think I know how. I will have to call the internet company and have them run a line to the house. I will do that first thing this morning. I can’t wait to get it set up.” She started laughing. Miles asks her what she was laughing at.

“He is running in circles around the living room. He is so cute. Now he is chasing his tail. I didn’t know wolves did that too. I thought only dogs did that. Oh no, No, no. don’t do that.” She laid the phone down and ran to get him. The wolf was trying to pull the cushions off the couch.

Miles heard her telling the wolf no. He couldn’t imagine what it was doing. Then he heard her pick the phone back up.

  “Is everything all right?”

“Yes, he was just trying to eat the couch. I will have to train him not to eat the furniture. I guess I will take him to town today and buy him some toys. I better get him some food too. I better let you go I need to take him shopping before he eats the house. I imagine he is hungry. Thanks again Miles. I love him.”

“You’re welcome my love.” He was all smiles knowing he made his mate happy.

As Gabi was walking out to the truck Jack pulled up with some of the pack. He saw what she was carrying and snarled.

Jack got out carrying a wolf pup for her and Gabi smiled. Jack walked over to her then growled “Where did you get that?” He pointed to the pup in her hands.

“Miles left it on the porch for me. Isn’t he the cutest thing you ever seen?”

That is when she saw the one Jack was holding. She sat the one down and held out her hand for the one Jack was holding. “Can I see yours.”

“It was supposed to be for you. I had no idea he beat me to it. How did he even know you wanted one?”

  “I don’t know. I guess I told him I wanted a pet before.”

“How did you do that when you both said you hadn’t talked before? He said he hadn’t been around you. He had only watched you from a distance. Gabi, he is here, isn’t he?”

She thought about it for a minute. He had to be watching them. “Shit, he is isn’t he? I did
n’t realize he was listening to us talk last night. I had no idea. Jack, don’t be mad. I like your puppy just as much. I can keep them both.” She put the wolf pup down and watched as the two wolf pups played. They were having a great time.

“Look at them having fun. I will have a good time just watching them play. I guess I better plan on getting two of everything. I was going to head to the pet store and see what all I needed for the one Miles gave me. I guess I can take both of them. I know I need food and chew toys. That one already tried to eat my couch. I wonder what kind of food you feed a wolf puppy?”

“High protein. They will need lots of protein and fresh meat. I will teach you how to take care of a wolf. Come, I will drive. Catch them and we can head out. Elliot, help her catch them.” Jack was angry that Miles had been watching them. He wasn’t supposed to be here. He would get even with him for intruding on their time.

Gabi kneeled and the pups ran to her. She laughed as they jumped on her. She picked them up and carried them to the truck. Jack was looking all around as if he could see Miles. Gabi looked to see if she could see him. She couldn’t see anyone.

“Jack, forget about him. Come on lets go to town.” Elliot told her to put the pups in the back seat with him. He was afraid they would get under Jack’s feet while he was driving.

As they drove Gabi asks them about computers. “How do I hook up a computer? Do I need the internet hooked up before I bother trying to put it together?”

“You can hook it all together. You will just have to wait to get online till you have internet ran to the house. Why are you thinking about getting a computer?” Elliot asks her.

“Miles gave me one. I found it on the porch this morning with the wolf puppy.”

“How did he know you needed one?” Jack growled.

“I told him last night on the phone. I was asking him if there were wolf websites I could go on and check out werewolves. He asks me if I had a computer and I told him I was going to town today to get one. He decided to get it for me.”

“So he is close by. I thought this was supposed to be my month with you. He was supposed to go home. Obviously, he didn’t.”

“Jack, he isn’t with me, you are. I didn’t see him last night I only talked to him on the phone. Elliot is there an internet company in town that is better than the other?” Maybe if she changed the subject Jack would calm down.

Elliot told her who they were using out at the cabins. She asks if they could stop by there first so she could let them know she wanted internet hooked up at her house. She wanted to find out how long it would take.

Once she had the internet taken care of, they headed to the pet store. She got a cart and put the pups in it. They barked happily at people walking by.

“Noisy little things, aren’t they.” She laughed.

“Yes, you will have to teach them when to bark and when not to. If you work with them, you can teach them anything.”

Gabi would teach them. She would learn everything she could about training puppies. Who knows, maybe she could teach them to eat smart ass alpha werewolves.

Gabi bought a ton of things for the wolf pups. Toys, collars, food and so on. Once she was done at the pet store they went through a window and grabbed something to eat. Jack even ordered grilled chicken patties for the wolf pups. Gabi fed them on the way home. She laughed when they took it from her fingers. One pup was greedy and tried to take it all so the other one couldn’t have any. The other one being a little girl was careful not to bite Gabi’s fingers. She took her food carefully out of Gabi’s hand.

“They are so different. I can see how I am going to have to watch or she won’t get anything to eat. He is a bully.”

Gabi sat out on the porch watching the wolf pups lay. Jack watched Gabi watching the pups. She wasn’t afraid of them.

“Gabi, love do you mind if I ask you a question?”

“No.” She turned to face him so she could see what he was thinking.

“You’re not afraid of the wolf pups, right?”

  “No.”

“So what makes you afraid of werewolves?”

“Well…” She had to think about it for a minute. “I don’t know.”

“If you watch the pups you can see where they are a lot like us. They fight and play like we do. They love one another like we do. They would protect one another like we do. I can’t really see what is so different about us and them. Yet you pick them up and love them.”

“Well, they’re cute and little. They don’t change from one form to another. They don’t try to force me to do what they want me to do. They don’t make me feel things.” Things she doesn’t understand. Things her body wants, and she doesn’t want.

He moved to sit behind her on the stairs. He wrapped his arms around her and held her to his chest. “You know what I think? I think you are afraid of the things you’re feeling. It isn’t that you don’t feel for me, but that you’re afraid of the way you feel for me. I think whenever I am close to you and your body is telling you it wants me you try to fight that feeling. That is what you’re afraid of that feeling that says you want me as much as I want you.”

  She practically whispered. “Maybe.”

“I’m right. You know it and I know it.”

Jack stood up and helped her up. He walked into the house with her. He pulled her back to the bedroom. It was getting late and he wanted to lay with her for a while.

  “What are you doing?”

“I want to hold you in my arms for a bit. I just want to feel you in my arms where you should be. Afraid you can’t keep your hands off me?” He winked at her as he pulled her over to the bed.

“Jack, I don’t think this is a good idea. I think you should go home. I can’t do this. Jack…”

He pulled her top off over her head. He then unzipped her jeans and slid them down her legs. She stood before him in her bra and panties.

  “Beautiful.”

Jack looked her over from head to toe, then back up again. She was everything a wolf could possibly want and more.

Gabi stood there letting him stare at her. She wasn’t sure what else to do. He looked at her hungrily. Would he eat her?

Jack unzipped his pants then let them drop. He heard her gasp. “What are you doing?”

“I’m getting comfortable. I want to lay with you. I won’t mark you. I just want to be with you. I can hold you without biting you. I can do a lot of things without biting you.”

He didn’t give her a choice. He pushed her back on the bed and climbed on board. He kissed her letting his tongue part her lips.

Gabi had been home a couple of weeks. She hadn’t let Jack do anything but kiss her. Tonight, he was going to try to get her to let her make love to him.

He took his time teasing her. He would kiss her lips, then tease her tongue with his. He let his fingers find her nipples. With the thin bra she had on he could feel her nipples harden. Hard little peaks that said she was enjoying his touch. He heard her moan a few times. He liked that she was starting to relax around him.

Miles sat out in the woods watching everything that Jack and Gabi were doing. He was fit to be tied. He growled and shifted. He couldn’t take watching another wolf with his mate.

Jack knew Miles was watching. He heard him growling. He knew Gabi couldn’t hear him. He wanted to laugh so bad. He lifted his head and smiled so Miles could see he was the one having Gabi first.

Gabi was so into what Jack was doing, she didn’t realize what was going on. She never heard the wolves outside fighting.

Miles had tried to get to the house to stop Jack. Both packs had to stop him to keep Gabi from running. To keep Jack and Miles from killing one another.

Jack moved a little faster. He ripped her bra off, then slid down her body, kissing and nipping. Gabi thought he was biting her and stopped him.

“You promised you wouldn’t bite me.”

“I’m not, love. I won’t. I swear when I do, you will know it. When we mark our mate, we do it on t
he shoulder, for all the world to see. Well, for all other werewolves to see.” He reached up and touched the spot where she would wear his mark.

“This is where I will bite you when the time comes. That way other wolves will know you belong to me. They will see I have claimed you.”

“You promise that is the truth?”

“I swear to you I am not lying.”

  “All right then.”

He laughed as he went back to enjoying himself. He kissed her and nipped at her. He pulled on her nipples, then ran his tongue around them. He slipped down her belly, leaving a line of kisses. Oh, how he was enjoying this. Not only was he touching his mate, but he was showing Miles who she trusted. Who she really belonged to. When he got lower, he gently spread her legs apart. He smiled as he took a long look at what he was about to taste. Yes, she was wet for him.

“Gabi you’re so ready for me. So hot and so wet.” He bent down and licked her. She about came off the bed. Her hips raised up and he had to hold her down. She wanted what he was offering.

Lying between her legs, he enjoyed her for a long, long time. Just knowing that Miles was watching and that his pack was holding him back made things twice as good.

Jack licked then sucked till he had her purring. Then he added his fingers. She was riding his fingers fast and hard. He was loving it. When he felt her body sucking his fingers, he nearly came himself.

Once she had ridden out her orgasm, he climbed up her body. He lay on top of her staring at her smiling face. She was hot.

“Gabi I’m going to make love to you now. I am going to show you just how good you could feel every night if you would take me as your mate.”

Gabi was so far gone she couldn’t stop him now. When he touched her with his hard cock, she spread her legs further. She pulled at him trying to hurry him. He laughed.

“Easy love we have all night.” He felt her claws in his back and groaned. It was so good to feel her wanting him. Needing him.

Jack struck hard and fast. Gabi screamed, then settled into a rhythm with Jack. He was just what she needed. He worked her over for hours.
