  Chapter One

  Tony

“Tony,” Rosalyn moans against my ear, gripping onto my shoulders as she rides my thick cock.

“Fuck, babe. Bounce that ass on me.” She tosses her head back and pops her bottom up and down, working my shaft. “That’s it. Take my dick, wife.” I firmly grasp her long dark strands and tug, bringing her face to mine so I can devour her mouth. Tasting, biting and sucking on her plump lips, I’m unable to get enough of my wife, so I flip her onto her back and take control. I have to feel her under me.

“You’re mine, Rosalyn.” Taking her hands in one of mine, I raise them over her head and pin them down as I pump into her.

“I’m yours,” she pants, arching her tits in my face.

“Damn right.” I nip on her hard nipples, skimming my tongue along her supple flesh. Tracing my circles around them. “Come for me, Rosalyn.”

  “Yes. I’m coming, Tony.”

“Soak my cock with your sweet juices before I fill you up with my cum. I want you’re slit dripping with my seed.”

“Give it to me.” I unload jets of my cum deep into her womb, hoping one day we’ll have a baby. We collapsed onto the mattress, rolling to my side, and bringing her back to my chest.

“Wow, that felt so good, but I’m sleepy now.”

“Sleep, my beautiful wife.” I kiss her temple and hold onto the love of my life so tight.

  ****

“What the fuck do you mean there’s a problem at the State Street site?” I growl, rubbing my face as I dress for work. Rosalyn’s sleeping in because I kept her up all night, fucking her until she was too tired to stay awake.

  “Sorry, sir.”

“I’ll handle it.” Sighing, I end the call and toss my phone onto the dresser, accidentally sending it to the floor. Running my fingers through my hair, I pick it up and check the screen. “Fuck.”

“Is something wrong, Tony?” I shut my eyes, feeling like a prick for waking her.

“I’m sorry. Just some problems at work. Go back to sleep, babe. I didn’t mean to wake you.” I walk over to the bed and sit on the edge rubbing her side before stealing a kiss.

“I’m sorry that you’re having so many issues lately. It’s nuts how busy you are.”

“I wish it wasn’t. I want to stay home and spend time with you. I promise it will get better, but I have to leave or I’ll be late again.”

“Okay.” I have to kiss her again because I can’t do without Rosalyn. She’s the most important person in my life even though we’ve only been together two weeks.

“Sleep.” I kiss her once again before hurrying out of the room.

I get into the office an hour later with a broken phone. Luckily, I have another in my desk just in case it broke while I was on a jobsite. “Sir, you have three meetings including the clients in South Padre.”

  “Okay. Activate my other phone.”

  “Oh no. What happened?”

“I dropped it. Just get it done, so I can get to the State Street site.”

“Yes, Sir.” She nods and leaves my office, but I can see she’s not pleased with my tone. She’s becoming annoying lately. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m married, and I don’t want to be at work twenty-four seven anymore.

  Chapter Two

  Rosalyn

It’s been two weeks of problems non-stop at Tony’s construction company. He’s been gone every single day and not coming home until late at night. I’ve been doing my best to stay in control and not get jealous or aggravated, but my emotions seem to get the better of me. Every night he’s been late. I wonder if today will be the same. Should I just go back home to visit my parents? Maybe then Tony will miss me enough to realize I’m gone. It’s day three of no sex. Three days and he’s come home so late that I’ve been asleep. A part of me wonders if he’s telling the truth about all these incidents.

I call his cell phone and it goes straight to voicemail. Feeling emboldened by my growing jealousy, I call his office number. “Hello, you have reached Cynthia, Tony’s assistant. Please leave a message at the beep.” I end the call. I had no idea he gave me her number instead of his direct line. Why would he do that? “My calls need to be fielded first!” I’m livid.

I call back again and this time she picks up. “Walker Construction. This is Cynthia. How can I help you?”

“I’m calling to speak to my husband. This is Rosalyn.”

“Rosalyn? I’m sorry. Who is your husband?”

“Mr. Walker.” He didn’t even tell her my name?

“Oh yes. I’m sorry, but he’s busy at the moment with Mrs. Willard. I can tell him that you called.”

“Mrs. Willard? Never mind.” I ended the call on that note. Tony doesn’t speak about his work when he comes home. All he does is worship my body until I fall asleep. Maybe I’m overreacting. If he doesn’t spend night after night fucking me then I should be concerned.

I go about my day feeling more and more bored. I used to be a CNA in Indiana, but since I married and moved to Texas, I need to apply for licensure here. Although Tony has made it clear he’d prefer I didn’t work. He wants me to live like a princess and I can’t blame him. Working as a CNA isn’t a piece of cake. It’s hard and a labor of love that doesn’t pay that much. Perhaps, I’ll just get my RN degree instead. Prior to meeting Tony that had been my plan. Now I don’t have to work and go to school.

I spend the rest of the day looking into nursing programs in the area. Everything is going to take years to finish, but nothing worth having is easy. I make dinner and Tony’s still not home. As if he hears me mentally cursing him out, my phone rings. “Hello.”

“Hey, babe. I’m sorry. Things are shit again. I’m going to be working late. I swear I’ll try to get out of here in the next hour.”

“Okay. I’ll put away your dinner. See you later.” I end the call because even though we married on a passionate whim and I’m madly in love with him, Tony and I haven’t said those words to each other. I know lust
and alcohol got us this far, but I’m not sure if it will work in the end. I need more.

I clean up the kitchen, feeling too tense to eat, so I pack up dinner and head to bed. By the time he comes home, I refuse to wake more than to acknowledge his presence. A part of me wants to scream at him and the other wants to cry. I choose neither and remain asleep.

  ****

Day number six in a row. He’s working late and I’ve fallen asleep before he’s gotten home. I stopped calling his office two days ago because his assistant doesn’t like me and it’s clear she finds my calls unprofessional. I hate the bitch.

As soon as he’s gone from work, I give my mother a call. “Mom, how are you doing?”

“I’m good, but I miss my little girl. How is married life with that handsome man of yours?”

“Okay. The thing is…I don’t know.”

“Uh-oh. Don’t make your father hire someone to kick his ass. What happened?”

“Nothing really. He says he has to work late every night. He only calls me once a day and usually he’s in a rush. If he doesn’t want to be married to me he can easily get a divorce. I don’t have grounds for taking much since we’re just going on one month.”

“Sweetie, calm down. Has he been neglecting you in the bedroom?”

  “Mom. Really? This conversation?”

“Please. I’m not asking for details, but if you’re busy making love often then he’s probably just working hard. If he smells like he showered before coming home or if he smells like another woman then you have something to worry about and then you can call your father.”

“I’m sure it’s just work, but everything is so new for us.”

“Yes. I wish you would have waited, but what’s done is done. We just want you two to be happy.”

“Thank you. I need to get my jealousy under control. I’m just at home all the time.”

  “Have you made any friends?”

  “So far only his sister.”

“Then maybe hang out with her and go from there. Do you talk to your neighbors?”

  “Just the woman next door.”

“Well, it’s a start. Have you given any thought to getting your degree?”

“I’m not sure. It all depends on how things go with Tony. I love him, but…”

  “Talk to him.”

  “I will.”

  Chapter Three

  Tony

My hands find their way into my hair for the twentieth time today. I’ve never been so frustrated in my life. I know it isn’t just the job pissing me off. I miss my wife to the point of insanity. The day can’t be over fast enough so that I can go home and hold her. I ache to run my hands through her long dark hair as I pull her in for a deep, soul penetrating kiss. The feel of Rosalyn’s skin along mine keeps me so damn distracted.

Rapid knocks on my door pull me out of my thoughts. My assistant “Sir, you have the Old Hill site on the line.”

“No calls from my wife?” I ask with too much weakness in my voice. She’s probably thinking I’m pathetic over my wife which I sure as fuck am. There’s nothing I won’t do to keep Rosalyn.

She shakes her head and taps her pen on her pad of paper. “None, sir. You told me to put them through if she calls.” Yes, I snapped when I learned she sent my wife to voicemail several times. I didn’t know until I overheard her when I came out of a meeting. Since then, Rosalyn hasn’t called the office. Fuck, I miss her so much.

“Okay. Let me know even if I’m still on the call.”

She rolls her eyes because I’ve told her that about ten times a day. “Of course.”

Rosalyn and I met a month ago, marrying the same night after too much to drink in Vegas. It was the smartest thing I’ve ever done because letting her go isn’t an option.

As soon as I saw Rosalyn, I knew she’d be mine and I had to act before I lost her. She’d been at a bachelorette party, and I’d been at a bachelor party. They both got out of hand, so we ended up meeting outside a strip club. We took a cab to a bar, drinking and making out, finally stopping by a twenty-four-hour wedding chapel. Hours later, I had her ass on a plane, attached to me for the rest of our lives.

I’m back at work and clocking in more hours than usual since we returned from Indiana. Normally, I wouldn’t even think twice about the long hours, but since meeting Rosalyn, I’ve been obsessed. Being with her makes me so fucking elated. As sappy or corny as it sounds, I’m not whole without her.

I take the call with the Old Hill manager Rich and deal with this week’s hiccups. When it rains it pours and it seems lately like I’m living in a monsoon.

Owning a construction company that I built from the ground up and is worth millions makes me proud but keeps me busy. It took the past twenty years working my fingers to the bone to make it successful. My company built thirty significant buildings in Texas and Oklahoma in the past ten years among a bunch of remodels, repairs, and family homes.

As the boss, I went from wearing jeans and a hard hat to a suit in a boardroom, trying to keep my company prosperous. I’ve worked hard to prove myself, getting out of a poor neighborhood and making choices to keep on a steady straight path to success no matter how difficult it was. Everything I’ve done is to have a life worth building with someone I love, my Rosalyn.

It’s six-thirty and I’m calling it a day. For the first time in weeks, I’ve managed not to pull a fourteen-hour day, and now all I want to do is get home to my beautiful new wife.

It seems that for the past two weeks, everything that could go wrong at work—has. One worksite flooded due to a water main break, and another caught fire. It was a nightmare that left me little time for my sweet Rosalyn. She deserves all of my attention and as of late she hasn’t been getting any of it.

I call her cell to let her know that I’m on my way back earlier than usual, but she doesn’t answer. Damn it, I sent her a text with no response. Perhaps she’s asleep already. Checking my watch, it’s way too early for it, but who knows. Every single night this week I’ve come home to her already in bed in a deep sleep. It has put a damper on our lovemaking.

I pull up to the house, and the lights are off. Her car’s gone and no message or return call. Panic starts to build in my chest. This is a very safe area, and we have standard home surveillance, so I cross my fingers and hope she’s just shopping. “Where did she go?” I mutter aloud, looking around for any sign of trouble, but there’s nothing.

I go inside and look around the first floor. When I enter the kitchen I get my answer which is on the fridge’s dry erase board. At your sister’s, I’ll be back tonight. Why didn’t she just text me to say that?

That’s strange. I give Rosalyn another call because I need to hear that everything’s okay, but it goes straight to voicemail. Where the fuck is her phone?

I call my sister’s cell phone, and that goes to voicemail as well.

An unsettling feeling goes through me as I imagine something terrible happening to my love. I go into my office and tap on my laptop to open our phone trackers and security feeds to see where she is. When I click the internet browser, the landing page shows the search bar and the last three things searched as keywords.

I almost lose my fucking mind.

  Divorce lawyers.

My heart and head can’t believe what I’m reading. This can’t be real. I know I haven’t been the best husband, but I love her. God, have I ever told her that?

I click on the words, hoping that she didn’t search sites, but I’m out of luck. The results show she checked out the top three. I read their names, feeding my ire irrationally. I want to wrap my hands around each one of those lawyer’s throats as if it’s their fault my wife wants to leave me. No. It’s all my fault. I’ve neglected her, didn’t make her feel loved, adored like the treasure she is.

Standing and shaking my head, I’m at a loss, so I send the computer and everything on the desk flying off. It all crashes loudly, but not as loud as my heart. I
drop back into the chair, feeling lost and frustrated. I can’t believe this. “What did I do?”

I love her so much that I can’t even breathe. We can work this out. We’ve only been together for a month. Maybe she’s just feeling lonely. That I can fix.

I pour myself a drink and toss it back, pouring another one and finishing that one. She can’t leave me. I never knew what love was until I met her.

Fuck. I slam the glass down on my desk and then storm out of my office, pacing around the house like a caged animal.

I don’t know how I’m going to get through this unless I can convince her to stay with me forever. We’re not leaving the house until we fix whatever it is I broke. “Fuck, the trip,” I mutter.

I call my assistant because I’m not going on my trip anymore. It’s a two-day trip to South Padre that’s supposed to happen in three days, but I need to straighten out my marriage before everything else.

“Cynthia, I’m going to have to cancel the trip. Call Dax and tell him he can go in my place. I’m sure he’d like the small getaway.” He’s my second in command and can handle the specs and get back to me with the offer from the client.

“Is everything okay?” She’s been with me a long time and knows I haven’t been myself since I met my wife. She’s probably freaking out.

“I can’t talk about it, but I’ll call you on Monday unless you have questions.”

“You have two meetings tomorrow,” she reminds me with the scolding tone that I don’t need to deal with at the moment.

“I don’t care. I need them rescheduled,” I bark out, letting her know that I’m not in the mood for any of her snark or judgement.

“Okay. I’ll handle it first thing in the morning. Whatever’s going on, I hope you’re going to be fine.”

“I hope so too.” I end the call and think of a plan. I walk into our bedroom, heart heavy. Everything is neat, pristine, clean as if my whole world is just right, but it’s a lie. Nothing in my world will ever be right if she leaves. I’d rather burn it all if I don’t have Rosalyn to share it with.
