  Then I would like to thank my dear friend who is the president of my book club and the director of all of my social media campaigns, Leigh Ann Lochtfeld. Her incredible technical savvy has helped me to gain an audience for my books. She has been with me for a year now, and she has been an ever-constant source of true inspiration.

  And although she would not want to be mentioned, I want to thank the light of my life, my daughter, who formats all of my books and overseas the final copies making sure everything is organized and in order. I’ve seen her sit at the computer for hours at a time working on my novels. She is a no-holds-barred critic, and her honesty is sometimes painful but always insightful and (I hate to admit it) usually right.

  Also, a great big hug and thank you to my husband, who reads every one of my novels and has always been my biggest supporter and fan. It’s always a comfort to know he is behind me in everything I do.

  I want to take a moment to thank God for sending me this difficult but rewarding life’s purpose. It is always an honor to serve you in any way that you see fit to use me.

  Blessings to all of my readers. YOU are the reason that I research. You are the reason I write. Without you, there is no purpose, and so I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Every one of your letters means the world to me. And although I don’t know all of you individually, I personally read and answer every one of your emails. I wish all of you the best that life has to offer, and may each of you always find that flicker of light that gives you joy.
