Dru then brought some of her long red hair forward and so it hung seductively next to her breasts, framing them and had the mirror take the picture from only neck to belly button. This was better she thought. Then she remembered Madame Bai’s words, ‘You want him to fantasize about you all week.’ Then she thought about some of the most famous nude pictures she had seen and decided that she should look as she felt about this. So, she had the mirror take an image of her whole body, she stood against the blank wall. She put on the dress he had given her and pulled up the fabric quite dramatically and held it with her right hand at her lower hips so that her full torso was exposed. Then, she turned her head to the side and somewhat down, as if embarrassed, which was not difficult to show, as she was embarrassed. Finally, she put her left hand under her chin to emphasize the embarrassment and then she had her mirror capture the image. When she looked at it now, she was pleased, but then she made it even better by taking the picture again but with the lights dimmed. When it was exactly how she wanted it, she just sent it to him with no message.

Ket received Drusilla’s image with the nipple jewelry and knew it was going to be a very long week. Already he had slept with his usual slave artist twice after seeing her pleasure herself in her private study room, but this was in some ways even better. This was her personal submission to him and the Alliance. Ket knew from Tir that human women didn’t send images of themselves around casually and that Captain Kara had punished him for sending unsolicited pictures of his penis to her and that she refused to ever send anything to him. So Ket knew that Drusilla was giving him so much more with this image. He was relieved, proud and aroused all at the same time. He replied to her message,

I will have trouble sleeping this week. Your beauty speaks to my most primal urges.

Then Ket called for a slave artist to come to his quarters. He decided at the last minute for it not to be his usual slave artist. Ever since he met Drusilla in person, his regular just did not satisfy him the way she used to. He had had her twice yesterday and her body had done nothing to satisfy the lust he felt for Drusilla. She just didn’t seem to understand how he wanted her to behave. He remembered Admiral Ver mentioning a new slave artist they had just taken onboard, Pera, she was older apparently but highly skilled and reassuringly expensive. Neither her age nor the expense bothered Ket. He was the kind of man who liked women who knew what they were doing and that usually came with experience. He summoned her to his quarters and then waited. As he waited, looking at the image Drusilla had sent, he reflected, Gods, we are not even courting yet. It is going to be a very long year.

Pera was surprised to be summoned to Doctor Ket’s quarters. She knew that he had his regular and rumor had it, he was the kind of man who never strayed when he found something he liked. Pera gave his usual a shrug as she passed her in the common area of the slave artists’ area of the ship and said, “Maybe his human began courting someone else today now that she is of age and the ban is finished. It could just be, he needs something completely different.” Pera was trying to be sympathetic. She had been there, thinking you have a man in a high position and he will make you enough universal credits that you will be able to return to the Alliance on your own terms, but then it all comes crashing down the moment he requests someone else for no apparent reason. Pera suspected this reason had everything to do with what was happening on the Capital Planet though. It was no secret onboard that Doctor Ket had put the ban on the red-haired human, slave artists were above a lot of the laws of the Contracts that preserved the equality between the sexes. Pera was intrigued as to what Doctor Ket would request. What does a man who seemed until last year, the last man who would ever stray from an Alliance woman, who has most actively pursued the most exotic of humans want from sex? she wondered. This had been a question on many of the slave artists minds ever since the human women were granted Alliance citizenship. And there had been many rumors, Sera, had even become a regular with Captain Kara, but she wasn’t giving away any secrets, nothing that could be directly traced back to her anyway.

Ket ushered Pera in, even though she was older than he was, she was beautiful and as he watched her walk in, her green dress flowing behind her, he knew there was something special about her. He sat down and she went to go pour drinks. She looked at him and asked, “Wine Doctor?”

  “No, but help yourself.”

“I don’t like to drink alone,” she said and sat down across from him. Pera could see that he did not want to talk, or any ancient myths recited. She just reached out her hand to his and caressed him. He welcomed the touch. She saw the image of the human in his mind and knew then exactly what he wanted. This is what made her such a successful slave artist. She could read the minds of her clients. But she had to be careful with Doctor Ket as he would feel her doing it if she were too forceful.

Pera took Ket’s hands and ran them over her small breasts so that he could feel the nipple jewelry under her clothing. He closed his eyes and she thought to herself, There is something very meaningful about this for you today.

Soon she was leading that same hand into his bedroom, she undressed him and he her, wordlessly. She could tell he wanted to imagine he was with his human, so there would be no words between them. This was just for the sex. Pera did not mind, Ket was very attractive and a good lover, she was a bit amused he spent a lot of time sucking and moving her nipple piercings back and forward. After they had finished, Pera quietly got her things and left, she said nothing to him to preserve his fantasy.

Ket watched Pera leave and was still not fully relieved. All he could think about was the image that Drusilla had sent to him. He opened his communicator and looked at it again. No, nothing will sate this until I have her, he thought and then went to sleep after transferring 500 UC to Pera. His Admiral was correct, she was good. He was so relieved she knew what he had wanted without words, but unfortunately, it still wasn’t enough.

After her final examinations were complete, Dru immersed herself in her Capital City Hospital Handbook for Practical Students. Her practical, as they colloquially called it, would last for the next year and if she passed, there were no grades, just pass or fail, she would be an Alliance doctor. She had also found out that in the Alliance, where you did your practicals was usually where you ended up working as well. This pleased Dru as she didn’t want to move from the Capital City. She had begun to think of it as her home. And even though you could be anywhere on the planet in minutes, she liked the idea of living close to where she worked, as most Alliance people did as well.

The Capital City Hospital was run differently than a human hospital as there was a lot to do with both rank of the patients and the doctors. In addition, people had to pay to use the hospital, which was unusual for her, not that she would be accepting anyone’s money, but on Earth medical care was free and doctors were adequately provided for by the government. In the Alliance she would be making a salary that would increase with her experience and would triple if she married Ket just by ranking alone. Dru felt the system was unfair but not so unfair that she wouldn’t take the position if offered to her.

And she would be happy for the money too. From the 250 UC that were initially given to her she only had 75 UC left. Of course, the Empire gave her 5 credits every month, but she would be happy when she was making a real salary and didn’t have to cringe every time, she bought something. Frank at the Earth Store had told her he would offer her credit, but she didn’t want to do that. Nor did she want to ask Ket for universal credits just because she wanted some comforts from home. Unfortunately, having little money also meant that she couldn’t readily socialize with people who asked her to join them for tea at the popular tea houses, breakfasts or cocktails, but she rationalized all this by telling herself it was just more time to study.

She exchanged messages with Ket frequently and always on the 4th day. He would constantly ask her to show him her breasts in a VM and that was the one thing she wouldn’t do as she wanted to save something for later. Th
at would be new the first time they were actually together. Ket didn’t agree with that at all and he thought it would make it even better when it was real. She also refused to send him another image with another set of nipple jewelry he had send to her. She felt that if she took another, she would detract from what he enjoyed so much about the first image. She was, of course, very pleased that he was so enamored with the first one. And of course, she was doing this all because she still had her heart set on some of his known jewelry. She didn’t know why but it had become a mini obsession. In between reading the handbook for the hospital and following her old crewmates, now on the Zuin, on social media, she had casually looked through Ket’s known jewelry on his social media page more than a couple times. She even berated herself, Calm down, he hasn’t even asked you to begin courting. But she couldn’t stop herself from singling out a couple favorite pieces from his known collection. She had also researched other men’s known collections for comparison. And she began to believe that you really could tell if you were a good match by what the man had already chosen. Most of Ket’s pieces were understated for maximum class but were subtly intricate or portrayed allusions to the Alliance’s religious myths. Two of his pieces, that she noted, were bought after he put the ban on her, alluded to the Lost People myth.

The day that Ket was back had finally arrived. She knew he was on planet and probably in the Capital City because when she put on her location ring, the moving clouds inside turned a reddish color. She was so excited she put on the beautiful blue dress he had bought her for her coming of age present and all the jewelry he had gotten her except for the nipple jewelry as she didn’t think it would feel right with her bra. And then went down to eat breakfast.

She had to eat what Ket had ordered, which surprisingly wasn’t very much at all this morning. She questioned the slave about it.

“You are the one playing this game not me. He was very specific about the portion size today. Maybe he thinks you are overweight?”

  “Do you think I’m overweight?”

The slave shook her head but said, “We all think you are overweight.”

Dru resisted slapping her but instead said, “I feel sorry for you that you will never know the pleasure of a real human man, his sweaty chest hair rubbing up against your naked body.”

That was enough to make the slave run for the toilet to vomit.

Dru smiled to herself and waited for her to return.

When she returned, Dru took a long time to eat the small portion of porridge. Long enough that the slave would have no chance to eat her own breakfast. Then she left the building and almost skipped on her way to meet Ket.

In the week prior, she had purposely avoided going to the large Promenade Ring, now lined with blossoming tress, on the outskirts of the Imperial Ring of the city so that the first time she would be seeing the blossoms would be with him. She arrived early to the South Gate where they were meeting. She enjoyed the excitement of the people around her and her own excitement at seeing Ket.

Dru looked up at the beauty of the blossoms on the tree directly above her. The blossoms signaled the warmer months were well on their way and this was a natural time for a short holiday for everyone. Most schools broke now, and many people took time off work to see friends and family. There were no set days for the blossoms as they bloomed at slightly different times every year.

Ket was happy to see Drusilla already waiting for him as he approached the gate to the Promenade. She had her hair braided which he was thankful for as if it were down all he would think about was the topless image she sent, and he would not be able to focus. As he approached, she didn’t see him, as she was looking up at some falling dark purple petals in the breeze. “Drusilla,” he said softly.

She jumped slightly, “Ket,” she said excitedly and then said the accepted phrase she was supposed to say on their first and only meeting they could have without courting. “Today we will make a decision, let the gods guide us.”

“Let the hours be blessed,” he replied in the set response. “It’s good to see you. I‘ve thought about you a lot.” He wanted to touch her cheek that had some pink to it but resisted thinking about all the fines he incurred the last time they were together.

Dru could see the desire in his eyes and thought, I’m sure you have after the image I sent. Madame Bai, you were right, he has been thinking about me all week. “I’m excited about today. I’ve avoided the Promenade so I could experience this for the first time with you.”

Ket felt touched by this, “Let’s not wait any longer then,” he motioned for them to join the other pedestrians and begin their walk around the ring. If they walked the whole ring it would take three and a half hours, but he had arranged for something quite special just over halfway through the ring. After a couple minutes of walking in silence, he commented, “You must feel satisfied now that you only have your practical left.”

“Yes, I ‘m just nervous about a whole new group of people who need to get used to interacting with a human.”

“It’s not that bad, is it?” He knew that Rez was a terror, but he assumed most other women would be decent.

Dru gave him a look, “Ket don’t ruin this day by pretending to be ignorant of at least half your population’s disdain for the human women who came here, and by half, I mean Alliance women, who I solely work with.”

“Drusilla,” he stopped walking and looked into her beautiful green eyes, he touched her cheek and she slightly leaned into his hand. The sensation was so sensual he almost forgot what he was going to say, “I believe there is only a small number of people who are still racist against humans now and least of all you. I know Rez and her ilk are still around and will cause trouble, but I would like to believe that most of us see you as our saviors.”

She didn’t want to speak she just wanted him to keep touching her and touch her everywhere. When he drew away his hand, she felt an ache to reach out to him. She had never had this strong connection with anyone, and she wondered if it was because he had been the only one who had touched her since she arrived on the Capital Planet or if this is what love really felt like. “Show me now that I am your savior,” she said in what she hoped was a tantalizing way to lift the mood and as a way to say, Forget these blossoms let’s go somewhere private.

He smiled, “Don’t tempt me now. We are not even courting yet.”

“We can be, just ask. Right now. I want to touch you.”

“Don’t rush me. I have things planned out,” he said seriously. “You must be patient little tabi.”

Dru smiled. He is such an Alliance man, They plan to the end of their days, she thought. “What have you planned?”

“You didn’t try to figure it out when you knew where we were meeting?”

She felt foolish then that she hadn’t. She had been doing nothing the past two days except thinking about his kisses. “No, I didn’t want to ruin the surprise.”

  “You’re a terrible liar.”

“I know. It didn’t occur to me to try and figure it out. I trust you.”

He was charmed by that. Every Alliance woman would have had figured out multiple different scenarios for what he had planned and how they would react. This was refreshing, “We are going to the sky bath house, so we can sit and enjoy the blossoms in the warm water with wine.”

  “Without clothing?”

“What other way would there be?”

“Humans invented these things called swimsuits for going in the water in public places.”

“Ah,” he said, “It’s because you have fur on your bodies. It can get places if not contained. Don’t worry, I’ve booked a private bath and I don’t mind if your fur touches me.”

“I’m glad my fur doesn’t bother you,” she said because she couldn’t think of anything else to say.

“The bathhouse is one of my favorite places this time of year and today is a beautiful day for it.” The sun was shining, and the sky was dark blue with a few white cumulus clouds. “You cannot se
e them, but there are floating tubs above us in this area of the park. They are camouflaged for privacy and muted for sound.”

Dru looked up. She only saw the tops of the trees, runaway purple blossoms floating randomly through the air and the dark blue sky.

After walking for another hour, they walked into the bathhouse lobby. The building itself only appeared to be one floor, but it actually had an elevator up to floors beginning with fifty. Dru summarized the top floors of the building must also be camouflaged. From there, were glass rooms with large balconies. Each balcony had a small private infinity pool overlooking the park with glass bottoms to see clear down to the ground. The infinity pools separated from the balcony so that bathers could float above the pedestrian ring and take in the blossoms from above.

When they entered their room, there were already a few female waitstaff waiting there to serve them, all slaves judging by their hair cuts.

Dru walked in and was overcome with her gorgeous surroundings. The room itself was mainly mirrors that reflected their private pool and then the top of the blooming purple trees, the park and both the Imperial Palace and Capital City were visible as well. “I’ve never seen anything like this. It’s breathtaking.”

“Good,” he said and then motioned to one of the women waiting to take her clothing, “She will help you undress.”
