“Tony, I never meant for any of this to happen. I was so swept up by you that I was afraid to destroy that magical bubble that was us.”

“I’m sorry, Alana. I’m sorry that I was so angry that I didn’t listen. I’m sorry that I left you all alone. I regretted it the moment I came back to the house.”

“But you didn’t trust me enough to want me anymore.”

  “I’d want you for eternity.”

  “Why?”

“Because for six years, I hadn’t touched a woman. The thought of it revolted me; I hated myself for being a foolish kid. Then you showed up and the beast wanted to stake his claim on the spot, years of lust ready to be shared with you. I put everything aside to just be with you.”

“You held me more than we had sex.”

“I know, I can’t stop touching you. I want to listen to you sleep. I fucking love you, Alana.”

“I love you, too, Tony. I have from the start. I thought it was just lust, but the thought of not being with you made me so sad, I’d cry myself to sleep. I wished you’d killed me instead of letting me go.”

“Fuck, Alana. Would you stop saying that? I hate the idea that you’d even consider that. I know who I am, but I’d never put my hands on a woman in anger, much less kill one. I love you more than I can imagine.”

“Will you make love to me, Tony? I lied about being with anyone else. I swear I only did it to make you mad.”

“I know, sweetheart. You should know that although you thought you were alone, you were being watched.”

“You knew where I was the whole time?”

“No, Vinny did, and he added the security for you. He knew I was too in love with you and just needed to calm down. He didn’t want anything to happen in the meantime.”

“That’s very thoughtful of him. I should thank him when I see him,” she said with a thoughtful expression.

I growled and stared at her with a grimace. “Woman, are you trying to make me jealous?”

“Is it working?” she replied with an innocent smile. I was well aware none of her thoughts were innocent right now.

“Fuck yes. You belong to me and only me.” I growled and jumped off the sofa, flipping her over my shoulder and into the bedroom. She squealed, then swatted my ass.

I dropped her on the bed, taking off my shirt, then I leaned over her and kissed her mouth. The thundering of my heart was met by the sudden thunder that echoed outside. The room darkened and the roof began to be pummeled with rain.

“I suppose we got back just in time,” I whispered, sliding my lips down to her neck.

“Oh, Tony,” she moaned, tilting her head to give me more to taste. Grasping the tiny straps of her dress, I slid them down off her shoulders, massaging her arms as I removed the gown from her body. Little goosebumps covered her arms, making me smile because it was more than warm enough. They were because of her need for me. My cock was stiff as fuck and started to leak on my boxers and through the shorts.

“You’re so beautiful, I don’t think I’m going to be able to last.” That was when she reached up and pushed me off of her. I was shocked, but then she fell to her knees at my feet and her hands went to my belt. With nervous fingers, she undid my pants and slid them down with my boxers, unleashing my cock. Her tiny hand wrapped around the base as she slid her tongue around the tip. I moaned, my head swirling with pleasure. She’d never took my cock in her mouth before, but she was working me like she couldn’t get enough.

“Alana, yes, please take me down.” I looked down at her pretty face. Her eyes anxiously met mine. “Baby, you’re going to make me come.” I started rocking my hips forward, pushing my cock into her mouth to the back of her throat as I smiled at her. She moaned around my length and I couldn’t handle it. I tried to pull out, but she shook her head. I roared her name as I came down her throat.

I lifted her up and pulled her into my arms, kissing the top of her head. “Alana, you are fucking amazing.” My knees were weak as hell, so I moved us over to the bed after kicking off my shoes and stepping out of my clothes. I took off her bra and panties before laying on the mattress with her legs wide open for me.

I crawled between those sexy thighs, staring at her wet pussy that was glistening with temptation. I danced my fingers along her legs, working her into a frenzy. She shivered with expectation and desire. My hands slid up to her heat and I parted her folds with my thumbs, opening her up for my mouth. Her hips bucked as my tongue flattened and licked her pussy. When my tongue hit her little nub, she flexed her thighs, tightening her hold around my head, making my dick hard all over again. I loved her taste and the way she came for me any time my mouth claimed her sweet center. I teased her core with two fingers, plunging them in and out. The sheets were going to be a sticky mess when I was done with her.

“Come. For. Me,” I said between nips on her clit. “Who do you belong to, Alana?”

“You,” she panted, her hands clenching the sheets, preparing for her orgasm that was coming.

“I want you coming on my tongue,” I told her. “You belong to me and so does your cum. Give it to me now, or you’re going to get fucked so hard you pass out.”

“Fuck me, Tony. I’m coming,” she cried out. Her thighs shook and rocked while she pushed her hips in my face. Every time she came, I wanted to see her come again. I was on and in her within a second, taking her orgasm and stroking into her depths.

“I need to come inside your sweet pussy. Kiss me. Taste your cunt’s honey.” She took my mouth in a kiss then moaned, grabbing my hair and tugging my face closer, sucking on my lips and tongue. I rocked my hips in a frenzy, then I slowed my strokes, lazily filling her and pulling out. Her walls stroked my shaft, gripping me until I thought I’d black out. “You’re asking for my seed, aren’t you? Come on, Alana. Take it,” I growled, then slipping her fat nipple into my mouth, I sucked on her breast like a man possessed.

“I’m coming again,” she shouted, her body throbbing and clenching around me. I couldn’t hang on any longer. My seed flooded her depths until I had no more to give. Damn, I loved the way she came for me.

  Chapter 24

  Alana

We laid in bed after a wonderful round of sex and I didn’t want to move. “Tony, I could stay like this forever,” I sighed, rolling onto his chest, looking into his eyes.

He gave my ass a squeeze and smiled at me. His hand came up to brush my hair out of my face and tuck it behind my ear. “Me, too, but we can’t. Let’s get up and talk. There’s so much that I don’t know about you and I want to.”

I sat up on the bed, leaning against the headboard. “There’s not a lot to know. I’m a pretty boring person.”

“Tell me anything,” he said, sitting up, too. The sheet was only at his waist, and it made it hard to concentrate. His strong, muscled chest had a dusting of dark hair that covered his pecs as a thin trail led down to his cock. My body tensed thinking about how he’d feel in me again.

“Not until you put some clothes on. I can’t concentrate with you naked.”

“Ha, I should be telling you that. Okay, I’ll get dressed, but that goes for you, too.” He hopped off the bed and dressed faster than I did, then hopped back on the bed, sitting up with his legs stretched out in front of him. I started laughing. “What?” he asked.

“Nothing, it’s just you dressed like it was a race.”

“I want to learn more about you and I don’t want us to get distracted. I tucked my dick away and now you’ve got your spectacular tits and pussy covered, so let’s talk.” He padded the bed, and I sat next to him.

“I grew up in the Seattle area all my life. It was pretty normal until the day my dad didn’t come home. I became isolated. I read more and didn’t speak to my friends as much.”

  “Why?”

“Well, I was tired of hearing their sympathy for my loss. Yes, I still feel my dad’s loss, but the constant reminder made it harder to deal with. Just as I’d had a good day, one or more of them would look at me
with compassionate eyes and ask if I was okay. Staying away made it easier. Then I became a recluse as time went on because I was so engrossed in my books. In books, my life wasn’t broken. In those books, my mother wasn’t hopped up on drugs and wasting away. It was my escape and I gobbled it up. I lost her two years ago and I still miss the good times the three of us had.”

“Wow, sweetheart, you had a rough go at it. How are you now? It’s been what? Six years since his death?”

“Yes, and things have gotten better over time. I still don’t socialize a lot, but that’s because I was constantly being moved around from my mother’s family and lost touch with the few friends that I had.”

“I’m sorry, baby, but the love of reading is a good thing. I want all our babies to be well educated.” I smiled at him, absorbing that light in his brown eyes. They were full of hope.

“I hope so, too. What’s next for us?” I asked. I hated talking about myself, and well, I didn’t know what he wanted from me and if we had a happily ever after ahead in our future.

“What’s next? We’re going to spend the rest of our lives loving and growing our family. How does that sound?”

“Wonderful,” I answered. Then, I climbed onto his lap. “I love you, Tony. Being without you is brutal and damn near unbearable.”

“Same here, baby. Are you ready to get out of here and do something together?”

“Yes, sir. I want to explore some more. Can we have dinner outside tonight?”

  “That works for me.”

  Chapter 25

  Tony

I was beat, but my phone buzzed just as Alana fell asleep. The documents were on my computer now. Suddenly, the fatigue was gone. I wanted answers. Not so much about Alana because she gave those to me so freely. It was about Simms. Something was off about this whole thing. I managed to get out of the bed without waking her. Then I headed into the office. With it loaded and ready to go, I skimmed over her information, looking for anything about her father. His death happened during an investigation. Simms and Torre were on a stakeout that had gone wrong.

I opened Simms’s file, and it was a treasure trove of information. The first bit of information was the fact that the shooting happened in the middle of night and there were no witnesses other than Simms, who had been shot in the arm while her father had been shot in the head. Something didn’t seem right to me about that. If a shooter was going to blast both of them in their car, then they wouldn’t have stopped until Simms had more than a kill shot in him. Since there were no witnesses that meant the shooter would have had time to fire until his gun emptied or Simms caught a bullet to the dome.

The way he treated Alana didn’t seem to sit well with me, either. Not only because she was mine, but because she was supposed to be someone he cared about. Sending her into the club was a dangerous thing to do. They could have easily gotten another female who had police experience.

It was the next page that gave me a reason to put a bullet in his head. There was a picture of Simms at a family barbeque, and I recognized the blond guy with the scraggily look. He was the son of a bitch that was running out of her building right before the fire. I was on my phone in a hurry. I didn’t give two shits what time it was back home. I wanted fucking answers and his head on a platter.

“What’s going on, boss?” Vinny asked, nervously. I was sure he was worried about Alana and I, but thankfully, that shit had been squared away before I lost my head.

I snarled into the receiver. “I want someone on Simms. That fucker has a death wish that I’m about to grant.” My teeth were clenched, itching to put my steel to his head.

“Does this have to do with Alana?” I knew what he was thinking.

“Yep, but it’s not about me. It’s about the fucking fire. I found the fucker I saw running from her apartment right before the blaze.” The more I thought about it the angrier I got. It was hard to deal with as I considered someone trying to kill my woman because she fucking said she wouldn’t do their bidding.

“Wow, okay. Which one is the guy?”

“On the picnic picture, he’s the blond fuck with the scruffy look.” Vinny took an audible breath, but he didn’t say a word.

  “What’s up, Vinny?”

“I know him. He’s a drug addict that gets out of trouble with cops all the time.”

  “How do you know him?”

“He tried to get into the club when you were visiting your family. They called me in, but I didn’t see the guy. The surveillance had him on there. We don’t allow people like him inside, even with a clean look on him.”

“Are you fucking serious? This has Simms all over it, and what does it have to do with me? I feel like this bastard is after me ten times over.”

  “Sounds like it, boss.”

“What could it be? I mean other than the shit going down with Homan, I don’t have anything drawing attention. This guy has it out for me. Why me? Why is he willing to use people close to him to get to me?”

“I don’t know, but it’s all coming down at once. Let me look into some more shit at the club. I feel like something isn’t right. Eric has called in the last two days. He claims he’s sick and that shit is bull.”

“Okay, keep me in the loop. I don’t give a fuck what time it is. I’m going to keep Alana here where she’s safe.” The thought of shit coming to a head and her being in the middle was too much for me to risk. The picture was clear, Alana was just a pawn in an attempt to get me. The reason why had me puzzled.

  Chapter 26

  Alana

For the last two days, things have been amazing between Tony and I, but I knew he was hiding something. His voice getting loud and rough on the phone woke me up the other night. By the time I got to the office, I heard Tony say that someone is using people close to someone to get to him.

Simms popped into my head immediately. I thought about the way he’d been so damn furious with me when I refused to keep up the charade. Then he threatened to out me, which I was sure he did. As I laid on the beach in the sun with my tablet in hand, I thought about how the conversation came up about the undercover operation.

“Alana, you know you’re going to make a great cop one day. Have you ever considered going into undercover work?” Greg asked me while we were having a cup of coffee after school.

“What do you mean? I’m not even old enough to go into the academy.”

He tapped his fingers on the counter, then asked, “Have you ever heard about the special program done with high school students?”

  “No, what program?”

“Well, high school students can become informants for the drug busts in the schools. They get in with the crowds and learn where the drugs come in from.”

  “Wow, for real?”

“Yes. Well, I have an opportunity that I think you’d be perfect for.”

  “What kind of opportunity?”

“It would be something like that program, but since you just graduated it would be in the outside world and a bit seedier than you’d be accustomed to. However, I want you to know that it could lead to the animal that killed your father and shot me. But this has to be a secret.”

“I don’t have any friends,” I reminded him.

“I mean from anyone. This is an ultra secret project. I’ll have your back, but you’ll only have me for a contact.”

“This will get the guy that killed my father?” I asked, excited and frightened at the same time.

“He’s connected to the one who killed your father. He’s dangerous but has connections to get out of trouble.”

I took a drink of my coffee, then answered with a stiff back, “I’ll do it.”

And that was the start of the mess, I’d gotten in overnight.

“What’s on your mind, love?” I turned to see Tony staring at me.

“What do you mean?” I asked him. How could he tell I was thinking about something unpleasant?

He pointed to my tablet and said, “You haven’t changed the page in five mi
nutes. What’s on your mind?” He crossed his arms and raised his brows, waiting for me to reply but I was still trying to think of how to say it.

“Um, I’ve been thinking about Simms and the undercover project he put me through.”

“Yeah, what about it?” I could tell that he was very curious.

I bit my lip because I was scared to know the answer. “He told me that you would lead me to my father’s killer.”

  “Hmm…interesting.”

  “Interesting, what?”

  “Nothing.”

“Don’t nothing me. You know something. I know you do. I heard the end of your angry call.”

  “Why didn’t you say anything?”

“It woke me up, but then you ended the call right after I walked up to the door, so I went to bed. I don’t know what you were talking about other than someone is trying to get to you.”

“Yes, your cop friend,” he scoffed. I wasn’t even going to go there about the friend thing. I wanted nothing to do with Greg.

“I had a feeling that’s who you were talking about,” I muttered.

“Then why didn’t you tell me?” he asked.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” I countered back at him.

  “Touché,” he hissed.

“Is there anything you know that I should know?” I asked, this time crossing my arms in irritation.

“I do, but I don’t think it’s best to tell you yet.”

“Why? Don’t think I can handle it?” I get that he was protective of me and I loved it, but my mind was too damn curious for my own good.

“Exactly. I need to know why he’s after me. You’re not the only person he’s sent recently. I’m his target, and I’m not sure why, but my men are working on it. When I know more I’ll let you know. That I can promise.”
