José chuckled. “I see you’re not going answer my question.”

She picked up the feather and tickled him from his cheeks down to his nipples. Jewel leaned in, giving his neck wet kisses.

  “Fuuuuck,” José groaned.

She knew the sensation was going to drive him crazy. And he couldn’t know what to expect next.

“Muñeca, please.” He rocked in the seat. His voice sounded husky as he begged her.

“Please what?” She sat on his lap, feeling his erection bump against her ass.

He began lifting his crotch, trying to rub himself against her. “I need to be inside you.”

Jewel smiled as she rose off his lap. She slipped out of her lingerie, placing it on the chair, then returning to tongue-kiss José until it became a tug-of-war for control between them. She hastily pulled back, her clit throbbing. Jewel needed more. She leaned forward and placed her left nipple in his mouth.

José sucked on it, biting down.

“Oh God…yes!” Jewel threw her head back.

He released her taut nub, making a popping sound, then groped with his mouth for her other breast.

“I can’t wait.” Jewel hurriedly jumped, shoving his boxers down his legs. She slipped her panties to the side and took him in.

“Fuck!” José nearly shouted. His throat worked as he tried to swallow. Sweat rolled down his forehead into the silk tie.

Jewel began rotating her hips, and he thrust up.

“Baby…I need my hands.” The chair shrieked as José fought to get the cuffs open.

She rocked her hips up and down in a circular motion, riding José. In one swift move, José managed to click open the cuffs. He picked her up and continued fucking her with no mercy. His hands were under her ass, and he bounced her up on down on his shaft. Jewel circled his neck with her hands, holding on. José was a beast when it came to sex. Her legs began shaking uncontrollably.

“Oh shit!” Jewel chanted, over and over. José was hitting all the right spots until she contracted around his dick. Needing to look into his eyes, Jewel pulled off the blindfold. The passion, desire, and love she felt was mirrored in his eyes.

José walked her over to the bed, placing her feet on the plush rug. He cupped her face and began giving her feather kisses. “Tu eres me todo.” His tongue teased her lips, making her obey his demand to open them. He mimicked the strokes he had given her with his cock, alternating between slow and gentle, then hot and wild, as he traveled from her lips to her jaw, and then to her neck.

  “Papi,” she muttered.

José leaned back. He loved her; she knew it. The emotion was right there in those amazing eyes, filled with desire. He grabbed her waist, twisting her around and spreading her legs apart with his knee.

He bent over. “Now I’m in control,” he said as he bit her shoulder. “Do you trust me with your heart?” He moaned, rubbing his dick between her ass cheeks.

Jewel was in ecstasy, on a high she couldn’t come down from, still feeling the effects of her last orgasm. No one but José could make her body hum the way it was right at that moment. No matter what José did to her, her body would go into overdrive.

He smacked her hard on her butt. “Answer me!”

She didn’t answer, and he smacked her again, making her cry out her climax.

“José!” she yelled as she came. Jewel’s body shook, this wasn’t supposed to go this way, she was expected to be in control, not him.

He slipped his rigid rod into her contracting core. “Shit!” He groaned deep in his throat and began to give her long, slow strokes.

Jewel gripped the sheets in her fists, arching her back, matching his moves. “Yes… José…right…there!”

He drove into her body faster and harder, digging his fingers into her waist, squeezing her. He straightened a bit and hit her G-spot.

“Yes!” she yelled. “I’m coming, baby!”

José’s movements were frenzied. He plunged into her, shaking the bed. He growled as he came, slipping to the floor, taking her with him. “Please don’t ever give up on me,” he said between rushed breaths.

He lay on the floor, caressing her back with his fingers and Jewel placed her head on his chest. His heart pounded beneath her ear. “I promise.”

Slowly, their breathing became normal. “Did you ever get on birth control?”

“No.” She closed her eyes, feeling suddenly tired.

He rubbed her shoulder. “We’ve been playing Russian roulette.”

  “Huh?”

“We’ve had unprotected sex several times.” He twisted a little, and grabbed the end of a sheet, pulling it off the bed. He placed it over her body. “I’m not ready for another kid. I can barely support the one I have.”

Though she was hurt, Jewel knew he wasn’t ready for a baby. She didn’t think she was ready for a baby, either, especially after the pain she she’d gone through from the miscarriage. “You’re right.”

“I’ll be more careful.” He kissed the top of her head. “Any time you’re near me, I’ll make sure I have a condom.”

“I’ll go see the doctor next week.” She didn’t mind that he’d asked. At least he wasn’t expecting her to take charge of the entire birth control situation. “Are you excited?”

  “About?” He cocked his eyebrow.

“Carlitos coming next week.” As she placed her hand below his chin, she could feel him smiling. “I can’t wait to spend time with my lil’ man.”

She softly chuckled. “Lil’? He’s not little anymore.”

“He’ll always be my lil’ boy.” José shifted to the side, making sure Jewel was comfortable. “Your summer started, too.”

“Yes, Emma and I have a few plans.” She turned her head.

“What plans?” His fingers grazed her shoulders. “You’re leaving me?”

“No, silly. Emma wouldn’t leave her little girl.” Jewel sighed. “We plan on going sightseeing. Museums, stuff like that.”

“Good. I don’t think I can make it without you here.” José played with her hair. “I noticed you received another puzzle piece.” She leaned up and saw him observing the envelope she’d placed on her dresser.

Jewel yawned, covering her mouth with her hand. “Yes.”

“What did it say?” he asked.

“Same as usual. Nothing.” Jewel tossed her leg over his waist. “Tonight was amazing.” She laid her head over his chest. José’s heartbeat was music to her ears, like listening to a lullaby. Her eyelids started to get heavy with sleep.

“Happy birthday!” José gasped, kissing her temple.

  Chapter Twenty-Nine

José took a week off to enjoy time with his son and Jewel. Her vacation had started a month ago, so she’d been the one to pick up his son from the airport. Carlitos had been there three days already. Time was moving fast. He wished he had more than a week to spend with the boy. They’d been to the amusement park, the zoo, a wrestling match, and Jewel had treated them to the movies.

“Shhh!” José placed his index finger over his lips, peering over at his son, signaling him to go around the bed. Jewel was sound asleep in the middle of the mattress. She was taking one of her mid-day naps. Since she’d been on vacation, he noticed she’d been sleeping a lot.

Carlitos giggled, pointing his orange water gun at Jewel as she slept. “Now, Daddy?”

In an unexpected move, Jewel pulled out her own pink water gun from under the sheets, and began firing in José and Carlitos’ direction. “Ha! I got you guys.”

José lunged forward, knocking the gun from her hands, and Carlitos took the opportunity to soak Jewel from head to toe. “My clothes!” Water dripped down her face as she yelled. “Stop! You’re getting the bed wet.”

“You started this yesterday.” José tickled her stomach. She tried to run, and he grabbed her by her wrist. Jewel twisted her hands out of his grip. “You tricked us.”

“Okay, okay. You guys win.” Jewel puckered her lips. “I surrender.” />
“Nope!” José cherished these moments with the two people he loved the most. They were laughing, having a great time. Since he’d had arrived, Jewel had done everything to make Carlitos feel at home. His little boy loved Jewel, but he hadn’t had a chance to tell him about their relationship. He’d been sleeping in the room with his son to keep up the pretense of being friends.

“I got you, Auntie Jewel.” Carlitos giggled, continuing his assault on both of them.

“Hey!” José laughed. “You traitor!” He released Jewel wrist, trying to cover himself, but Jewel trapped his hands at his sides.

“Now, Carlitos!” Jewel held on to him tight. His son pointed the toy at his face and sprayed him.

They were both soaking wet. José managed to get out of her grip, and he grabbed her waist. He lost his footing and they tumbled to the floor, Jewel falling on top of him. Even wet, she was beautiful. Her smile affected him in new ways every time. He cupped her face, wiping the water from her eyes and grazed his lips against hers. He was so lucky. This woman accepted him, and his son. Women he’d messed with in the past hadn’t had a problem with his having a son, as long as the boy wasn’t around. But not Jewel. She treated Carlitos like her own.

“Papa!” Carlitos yelled, coming around the bed. He stopped dead in his tracks. “Why are you kissing Auntie Jewel?”

José tipped his head, looking over at his son. Water rolled down the side of his face. Shit. He hadn’t wanted his kid to find out like this.

Jewel placed her hands on José’s chest, and moved to her knees next to him. “Carlitos…”

“Auntie Jewel, why was my daddy kissing you?” Carlitos’ little lips thinned.

Jewel looked over at him, and then at his son. “You need to talk to your dad.” She stood, and José sat on the floor, staring at his boy.

“Carlitos.” He sighed. “Remember the girlfriend I talked to you about?”

His son pouted, his little chest heaving up and down.

  “Well, it’s Jewel.”

The boy tried not to cry looking at José and then at Jewel. “No!” He stomped his foot. “You are supposed to help me get my mom and dad together!” he shouted. “You promised.”

“Carlitos.” Jewel spoke softly. “I never promised.”

“You’re a liar!” Carlitos yelled. “I hate you!”

José’s jaw tightened. “Carlitos!” He raised his voice, getting up off the floor.

Carlitos dropped his water gun, and ran from the room.

“Carlitos!” José yelled at the boy’s retreating figure.

“José.” Jewel grabbed his arm before he could follow. “He wasn’t expecting this. Give him some time.”

“Jewel, I understand that, but he doesn’t have the right to disrespect you or any other adult. If I let him get away with this, he’s going think it’s okay.” He tried to calm down, counting to ten in his head like his mother had taught him many years ago. “I don’t know what kind of house Olga runs, and I don’t care. But this? Not in our house.” José backed away from her, and marched out of the room.

He was on a mission, he pondered on whooping his son’s ass and decided against that. José would try talking to Carlitos first, letting him know he wasn’t going tolerate that kind of behavior in his presence. When he came around the corner to the living room, he saw Carlitos had taken a seat on the couch with his feet up on the coffee table.

“We need to talk.” José stood in front of his son. His head pounded. Carlitos didn’t even have the decency to look up at him. “Did you hear me?” Even Coco acknowledged him from his place by Carlitos’ side.

“What?” Staring at the small screen of his toy, the boy answered with an attitude.

His finger slew over the small console as he watched the screen.

“It’s ‘yes’, not ‘what’. Look at me!”

Carlitos raised his chin and stared at him like he wanted to do hurt him before he turned back to playing his game.

José grabbed the device, surprising his son. He was tired of this bullshit. He threw it against the wall, and it shattered into pieces, falling to the carpet. He finally had his son’s attention. Coco jumped off the couch and ran to his bed in the corner.

“Dad!” he cried out. “You broke my video game.”

“When I’m talking, you need to look at me,” he said in a stern voice. “What the heck was that back in the room?”

“You broke my game,” he repeated solemnly, now with tears in his eyes.

“I couldn’t care less about your game.” José sat on the coffee table in front of him. “Jewel has been nothing but nice to you. She caters to you, and that’s how you treat her?” José could feel the thumping in his head. “Hate is a freaking deep word. Do you even know what it means?”

Carlitos didn’t answer, he just stared at José, crossing his arms over his chest. He could tell his son was afraid of him. José took several deep breaths, gripping his jaw with his hand.

“Carlos, you need to talk to me.” He peered at his son. “I’m not understanding your tantrum.”

He opened his mouth, about to say something, then closed it.

“Say what you have to say.” José moved back on the table, calming down a bit. “We’ve taught you how to be a young man. A man doesn’t treat a woman the way you just treated Jewel.”

  “Why Auntie Jewel?”

“Why not Auntie Jewel?” José also placed his arms over his chest, mimicking his son. “Jewel is one of the sweetest people I know. She makes me smile. Because of her I can be the father I want to be for you.” He watched his son. “She’s perfect for me. So when you hurt her, you also hurt me.”

“I didn’t mean to hurt her.” His chest heaved. “If she’s with you, I can’t break her heart by breaking you up.”

  “Huh?”

“I was going to try and break you and your girlfriend up, so you could go back to mom.” His son’s voice shook. “I wanted a real family.”

“Carlitos, you have a real family.” José’s chest tightened. He’d thought his son had gotten over the motion that his parents would get back together. “You’re just lucky you have two families. More people that love you.”

“I don’t hate Auntie Jewel,” he said in a whisper. “It’s supposed to be you and mom, not her.” He uncrossed his arms. “I asked her to help me last time I was here.” Carlitos’ lips thinned again. “I don’t want her with you.”

“Son, I’m sorry but your mom and I are friends. That’s all we are ever going to be.” José voice softened. His son wanted his parents together he couldn’t blame him, but still the way he acted was not acceptable. Now he knew his son’s true feelings, however he was the adult, and whom he chose to love was on him.

“Why?” he cried out. “If you get back with mom, you would come home.” He wiped at his tears. “Now you have Auntie Jewel. You’ll never come back.”

José couldn’t stand seeing his son in tears. “Carlitos, no matter where I am, I will love you the same. I know I’m miles away but I’m always here for you if you need me.” He touched his son’s face. “I promise you will get to spend more time with me.” He meant it.

“You’re not breaking up with her?” Carlitos arched a brow.

“No,” José answered in a stern voice. “I’ve never been this happy with any other woman.”

  “Not even Mom?”

Here we go again, José thought. Honesty was the best policy. “No.”

“Mama is beautiful and fun. She used to make you laugh.”

“I know she is, but so is Jewel.” José leaned forward, and cupped his son’s face. Carlitos resembled him so much: his hair, eyes… the only thing he had of Olga was her nose. He’d even inherited José’s mother’s freckles. “Son, Jewel is the only woman I want. I hope you can accept that.”

Carlitos jumped off the sofa, and wrapped his hands around him. “I’m sorry, Daddy.”

José rubbed his son’s back. “You need to apologize to Jewel.”

“I will.” He moved and bowed his head.

“I taught you better than to scream at any adult, especially one who loves you.” José watched him closely.

“I know, Daddy.” Carlitos stood. “I should’ve never been mean to Auntie Jewel. She didn’t deserve that.”

“No, she didn’t.” José stared at him. “Next time you behave like a spoiled brat, you’ll be getting an ass-whooping.” He raised his voice as he stood. “But instead, no TV or video games for the rest of the time you’re here, and no dessert tonight.” Carlitos gave him his famous puppy eyes. “I was making your favorite, too. Banana pudding.”

  “Daddy!” He pouted.

José didn’t cave in. “I meant what I said. Next time you act like that in my presence, or your mom tells me you did, the last thing we’ll be doing is talking. Do you understand, young man?”

  “Yes, Dad. Understood.”

“Now you owe her an apology.”

“Do you love her?” Carlitos asked, peering into José’s eyes.

  “Can you keep a secret?”

  “Yes, Daddy.”

  “Yes, I love her.”

Jewel was on her knees, wiping the water off the floor with a couple of towels. She felt bad about what had happened with Carlitos. She and José had talked about telling the boy about their relationship, but they’d decided to wait until the right moment. She released a breath. Jewel loved that little boy even before she and José had become an item.

“Auntie Jewel?” The door cracked open and Carlitos wandered into the room.

  “Hey, sweetie.”

He ran toward her and circled his small hands around her waist. “I’m so sorry, Auntie.”

“Baby, it’s okay.” Jewel hugged him tight, kissing his head.

“No, it’s not.” José entered the room with a broken video game in his hands. “He knows better.”

“I don’t hate you. I love you, Auntie. I shouldn’t have gotten mad at you.” He took a few steps. “I wanted my parents together, but I guess that will never happen now.” Carlitos took her hand in his.

Jewel bent down to his height, and kissed his temple. “You know you can talk to me about anything. I’m always here for you.”
