SNUBBED: A HIGH SCHOOL BULLY ROMANCE (KINGS OF BEXLEY PREP Book 1) Page 10

by KC THORNROSE

She took a deep breath and exhaled.

Then she said, “They have expelled you.”

  “Who what?”

“Yes, Ms. Rosen sent out the message.”

“But she said they would think about it for a week?”

“That’s just the way goes around here Blair, things change. Someone must have said something to make the school board ask you to be expelled immediately. I don’t know what it is, but you know what, I have to get back to class. Talk with you soon.”

And with that, she hung up.

Shocked, I ran my fingers through my hair. What will happen now?

These thoughts ran through my head. I knew I was in trouble. How do I get out this now?

My God, I should have known, it was too good to be true.

  Xander’s gone.

That’s the moment I got a message telling me Bexley had expelled me.

  What else could go wrong?

Did Xander leave me here or did something else happen? We can tell what can I do about this? God, did they use me?

Oh my God, I can’t believe he just left me here. I quickly asked if Cassie could come to get me.

Then I realized she didn’t know where I was.

So I checked my phone, and luckily I still had a shared ride app on it.

  I called one.

He arrived pretty quickly, which is a good thing because I don’t know what I would have done if he didn’t show up.

The next thing I knew, I got in the car and headed home. The moment I walked into the home, mom frowned.

  She was livid.

“where were you?” she asked. “Your scholarship got rescinded, and they expelled you.”

  Nervous, I swallowed.

Then I said what? She nodded and said; I try to reach you because you go? I said I was with someone? She asked me, “who? And thought oh my God and tell her. But then I did I said, "I was with Xander.”

  “Xander Cameron?”

She palmed her face and cried. Then she wiped her tears and asked,

“You did nothing with him, right? You didn’t fuck him, did you?”

  I shook my head.

I couldn’t lie to my mom.

  I said I couldn’t tell you that mom, I can’t.

  “Did you have sex?”

I looked away. Nodded and went the tears from my eyes and said, “okay, that’s fine with the with that. But I must tell you I’m highly disappointed in you bladder it’s the last thing I would’ve expected you to do now go to your room.” I nodded and hurried to my room. It didn’t seem fair.

She said I have to go to work. I still have to make a living."

I nodded and asked, “Where’s Mario?”

She said, “Mario will be back later. I expect that when he returns, be here.”

I nodded. Then I said to Mom, “Yes, mom. I’ll be here.”

  And with that, she left.

I sighed. I hated lying to mom.

She did not know I had other plans.

A little while after she left, I called Cassie.

She said, “Just got back from school. I think I know who did it.”

  I asked, “who?”

“I saw the letter,” she replied. God, her words were driving me crazy. I needed more information.

  I asked, “What letter?”

“One that will prove you did nothing to deserve this. it’s in Lindsey’s locker.”

My eyes widened my God; I should have known she would do something like this. Why wasn’t I surprised?

“What can we do now?” I asked.

Cassie said, “Let’s go to Bexley and steal it from her locker. No one’s there, the school administrators have an offsite meeting today.”

“But how will we get in?”

She said she got a key from the janitor’s desk when he stepped away.

I nodded and said, “Are you sure about this?”

  She said, “Yes.”

And with that, she came over to my house, and we drove to school. And that’s when things got worse and crazy.

We opened linsey’s locker and discovered the two letters, one tracking what she will do to get me out the school and the other claiming the guys planned on having sex with a virgin and that virgin was me. It was part of their senior crew Bexley parting tribute. What the hell? How could they do this? That’s the moment heard the doors lock! What the hell is going on? I shrieked when suddenly the ceiling sprinklers came on.

“Let’s get out of here!” I screamed at Cassie. I tugged her hand, and we tried to get out the door. Oh no, this was a trap, the doors were all locked shut! The windows wouldn’t open either. Then a foul smell permeated the air. Oh no, no only did I have my scholarship rescinded, I lost my place at Bexley. Plus, I might die in here too?

“Help help, is anyone out there?” I cried out. Cassie cried. We tried using our phones to call for help, but neither worked. The water increased, and the smell made dizzy. I turned and watched as Cassie collapsed to the floor.

Oh no, why can’t anyone here us?

Help…. I don’t want to die here…" My voice trailed off as I tried to stay alert. The water rose. My heart thumped in my chest. Nerves fluttered in my belly.

How do we get out of this now? Is this the end? Was I really part of the senior tribute or are things not what they seem?

  Help…..
