The Music of Christmas

  “I… can’t… I want you inside me.”

“Later. Now, you’re going to come.” He curled his finger and cupped her swollen bud with his tongue. Annie cried out and shuddered as her orgasm shattered.

Before she came back to earth, she barely realized Erik left until he was back, naked, sheathed, and on top of her. For a moment they stared at each other, then Erik’s gaze slid to her mouth.

“Annie,” he said so quietly she almost didn’t hear him.

He lowered his head again to kiss her sweet and slow. She parted her lips in invitation to allow him to deepen the kiss. His hands moved up her sides, and caressed the sides of her breasts with his thumbs.

Sexual tension crackled in the air. “Are you fulfilling a fantasy here?” Annie asked.

“If I said no, I’d be lying. But, as I said before, I think it’s more than that, it’s another chance. There is a part of me that feels this is the way it should be. Right now, with you in my arms.”

“Yes,” she admitted. Annie pushed at his chest until he rolled to his back. Swinging a leg over his hips, she straddled him. She was wet and ready, more than ready. As she guided him inside her, Erik let out an audible sigh.

Annie teased him by pulling out to his tip, then edging him back in, deeper. “What do you want, Erik?”

His voice was hoarse, he said, “You, it’s always been you I’ve wanted.”

She increased the pace, moving over him, fueled by his primal groans. He stopped and pulled her down to take her mouth again.

“Can you hear the music?” he asked.

“Magic,” she said. She could never explain it to anyone but him, but she heard it.

He grabbed her by the hips and pulled her tighter. He was filling more than just her body. Erik rolled her over, his powerful body covering hers. There was no more time for gentle. They both needed far more.

He drove his hips, thrust for thrust, until she was mindless of anything but the pulse of his body against hers. She dug fingers into his buttocks and squeezed his cock in her tight wetness. Erik slammed into her over and over, groaning each time she lifted her hips to take him deeper.

She exploded in his arms, crying his name, her whole body in flames.

Erik plunged in a few more times, until he stiffened and followed her in release. He kissed her harshly as he rocked into her until he was spent. They lay there for a long moment, their breaths ragged, bodies slick with sweat, his cock still buried inside her.

He slid off the side of the piano and caught her when her trembling legs threatened to buckle. A grin lit his face. “I… wow.” He kissed her. “That was amazing.”

She had to admit, she completely agreed.

He cupped her cheek. “Come on.” He tugged her hand until she followed. “I actually have a bed.” When they got the bedroom, he pulled back the down comforter and sheets. He joined her on the other side and pulled her into his arms. “Merry Christmas,” he whispered.

Annie glanced over his shoulder at the digital clock. It was after midnight.

Erik held a finger to her lips. “Let’s not talk right now. We’re both exhausted. Tomorrow.” He closed his eyes, and in under a minute she heard his heavy breathing.

He was right. Tomorrow she would try to sort out what just happened.

Annie woke to the smell of coffee brewing. She pulled on his robe and wandered out to the kitchen. Erik had on a pair of low slung red and green plaid pajama bottoms.

Okay, so she hadn’t dreamed him up.

“It’s Christmas morning, what are we to do?” he asked, with a naughty twinkle in his eyes.

“We open presents. Didn’t Santa leave some under the tree?”

“I have an idea. Under these circumstances, we need to ‘re-gift’. Run around the house. We’ll take anything we think the other will like, and that will be our presents for under the tree. We have five minutes.”

“You’re nuts. I haven’t even had coffee.” Annie laughed.” I’m not going to give you back something you already own.”

“Now, you have four and a half minutes,” Erik sprinted off down the hall.

This was fun. She ran into the bedroom and quickly glanced around, her mind racing to find the perfect gift. Then she remembered, and jogged out to the living room.

Annie had her gift in her hand, wrapped in newspaper, and a sly smile on her lips when Erik returned.

“You’re fast. Did you cheat?” he asked.

“Nope. I found the perfect gift. It was easy.”

“I want to go first.” He handed her a small box.

  “Aspirin?”

“It was the only box I could find in the allotted time. Isn’t the saying ‘it’s the gift that counts’”.

Annie shook it once. “Oooh. Let me guess. Tiny marbles? A keychain?” She opened the end of the box, and a silver link bracelet fell out. A single charm hung from one of the links. Music notes. “It’s beautiful.”

He looked down and fastened it around her wrist. “It was my mom’s. She loved music, as I do. As you do.”

“It’s not fair. You know the things you have.” She blushed and handed him her present.

He squeezed the newspaper and took a guess, “A lump of coal? A block of wood?” He opened the paper and was quiet for a long moment. “My metronome.”

“I saw it on the shelf last night. We used to rehearse, and you had it on the piano every day. You would start the pendulum, and wait, before you began to play.”

“I got it for my fifth birthday, from my Grandma.” His gaze met hers. “You remembered that?”

She smiled. “I remember everything about you… except knowing where you’ve been for last four years.”

Erik sat his gift on the table and scooted closer. “I know this is all crazy. You must be thinking the same thing, I sure am. But, what if this is the second chance for something we missed before.”

She leaned over and kissed him. His lips felt so familiar. Annie pulled away, closed her eyes, and smiled. “I hear it. Don’t you? The music of Christmas?”

Erik pulled her into his arms. “I knew there had to be someone else who heard it. I always suspected it was you.”
