Becky shook her head. ‘I’m not sure I understand.’

‘It is simple, querida.’ He took her hands and held them tightly as he looked into her eyes. ‘I have spoken to the priest at our local church and he has agreed to bless our marriage, if you like the idea.’

‘Oh, I do!’ She laughed in delight. ‘I can’t think of anything I would like more, in fact!’

‘Good. I also thought that it might be nice to have a party here at the villa to celebrate after the service.’ He bent and kissed her lightly on the mouth. ‘We can also celebrate the fact that Josh is ours and that nobody can ever take him away from us.’

  ‘That would be wonderful, Felipe.’

She bent and lifted Josh into her arms as he came toddling into the study to find them. There was a light in her eyes when she looked at him that made Felipe’s breath catch. ‘I can’t think of anything I want more than to let everyone share our happiness.’

‘Neither can I,’ he said deeply. He bent and kissed her, laughing when Josh pushed between them and held up his face to be kissed as well. They both kissed him then Rebecca put him down when he started wriggling.

Felipe put his arms around her as they watched him making a beeline for the desk. There were tears in Felipe’s eyes but he didn’t try to hide them from her. ‘Antonio would be so glad to know that his son was loved like this, Rebecca.’

‘He would, and I think he would be glad for us, too.’ She turned to face him. ‘I love you, Felipe.’

  ‘And I love you, too.’

He kissed her hungrily, held her to his heart and knew that he had never felt more blessed.

  He had Rebecca.

  He had his brother’s son.

He couldn’t have wished for anything else!
