Bruised MC Bear (Beartooth Brotherhood MC Book 3)

Angel probably didn’t realize her pulse had increased, or heard the moan she had let out as she exhaled. “You’re really going all out with this. Stop the car at the end of this street. All the way to the edge.”
“You live on a deserted corner?” he asked, coming to a stop. He let the engine run while he waited for her to answer.
“No.” Angel hopped out of the passenger side and walked around to his side, gesturing for him to lower the window. “I’m just not sure I’m ready to invite you into my home yet,” she admitted.
“Honesty is good, but you’re no safer out here.”
Angel leaned down to him, smiling as she rested an arm on the window. “I think you should leave it running.”
“I see.”
“Get out here.”
He stepped into the cooler night air, leaving the door open. Angel took his hand, making slow steps backward until she was leaning against the trunk of the car. She placed his arms on either side of her, and ran her hands up his chest, locking them behind his neck.
“What is it about touching you that makes my fingertips so hot?” she asked, light blue eyes staring up at him.
He shrugged his shoulders, but was a lot less interested in talking at a time like this. He groaned as Angel walked her fingers back down his chest, all the way to his belt buckle, which she loosened just enough to slide her hand down his pants and stroke his cock.
“Mmmm,” she moaned. “I should have guessed one day I’d find someone who could actually back up all that arrogance with something…real.”
Axe growled, eyes already shut tight and close to rolling to the back of his head from her hand job. Whatever she had been thinking of doing out here, he couldn’t wait much longer to get started. Gripping her waist, he lifted her up to sit on the trunk lid and parted her legs. He dragged the hem of her dress up to her hips and nestled in between her thighs. Angel kicked off her pumps and wrapped her legs around his hips. Her hands roamed up to his neck again, fingers lacing up into his hair, lips only inches away from his chin. He couldn’t wait a second longer to taste those full, pouty lips.
Axe tilted her chin up, then he slid his fingers to the back of her head, gripping a handful of hair. Angel’s breathing became ragged, and her eyes half closed as his lips covered her mouth for a hungry kiss. He explored her mouth with his tongue, parting her legs wider. He ran his other hand up her leg and gripped her ass. Fuck, he could explore every inch of her curves if they weren’t out in the open on her car right now. His fingers trailed up her inner thighs, not stopping at her lacy panties. She was warm and wet, already pushing against his fingers to invite them inside of her.
Angel let out a moan in his mouth. She gripped his back and pressed her torso into his chest for more contact as she rocked her hips and sank down on his two fingers. She was so fucking tight, all he could think of was burying deep inside of her and experiencing that snug fit all around his shaft. Putting his thumb to work, he flicked her sensitive bud each time her hips rolled. He had to smile when Angel pulled from his kiss and rested her hands at her sides as she rode his fingers, drawing closer to her climax.
She was grinding her hips, and Axe pumped his fingers in and out of her, harder and deeper each time, spreading her to curve the tips of his fingers just enough to find her sweet spot. Angel went wild. Her inner wall tightened, her body shook, and a few seconds later, she held on to his biceps and whimpered through an orgasm. After her movements had settled down, Axe withdrew his fingers and made sure her eyes were on him as he reached his hand up to his mouth and sucked both fingers cleaned. Tasting her sweet, feminine scent threatened to undermine his self-control, but he held it together long enough to help her off the trunk, holding her body tight against his until she could stand.
He helped her into the driver seat and closed the door. “Can you get yourself home from here?” he asked.
“Sure,” she told him, seeming disoriented and confused. “How are you going to get back?”
“I’ll make it just fine.”
“I don’t feel right, leaving you like this, out here.”
“Don’t worry about me. Have yourself a good night, Angel,” he said to her, turning to head back on foot. He had her exactly where he wanted her. She was already craving more.
For now, he’d let her cool off and get her head back on straight.

Angel
Angel tried to distract herself the next afternoon. “Okay, really?” she shouted at her TV from her spot on the living room sofa. “This is all you have for me on a goddamned Saturday afternoon? A bunch of reality shows, a couple of movies made before nineteen eighty-four, and the public access channel? Serves me right for not getting the deluxe cable package.”
She dropped the remote on the seat beside her. The sudden move excited Spencer, her black and white speckled greyhound, and he flopped onto his back, wiggling around for belly rubs like a cat. What a confused canine. The situation got even weirder when her tan-colored dachshund, Marley, hopped up on her lap and started licking her face.
“Don’t go begging, Spence. You too, Marley. I walked you for almost two hours this morning. At least you’re somewhat normal, Jet,” she remarked to her German Shepherd, who was snuggled on the floor chewing on a bone like his life depended on it. As if to contradict her, Jet promptly started choking, and then he horked half of his lunch all over the floor.
“I take back my previous statement,” Angel deadpanned, groaning as she contemplated the extra work. “Third time in a week, huh, buddy? Are you okay, Jet? Or are you just learning how to swallow?” Kicking off her blanket, she got up and headed to the kitchen, followed by all three dogs.
The pink top she wore last night was still hanging on the hook at her front door. Just seeing it sent a ripple of need through her. The memory of Axe’s expert fingers inside of her returned, causing her to swallow hard. God, what a tease he turned out to be. He had surprised her, getting her off then walking away as if he wasn’t hard as granite with need. And he said this wasn’t a game to him.
Angel forced herself to get back to reality, grabbing a handful of paper towels to take care of the dog puke.
“At least you’re not the worst mood killer I’ve had around me in the past twenty-four hours, Jet,” she whined.
After depositing everything into the trashcan and giving Jet something a little easier to eat, she turned off the TV and took a seat in front of her laptop. She logged into her previously shut down online dating profile on Curvy Meets Cute.
“Screw it,” she muttered. “Just because I said I wasn’t going to meet anyone there ever again, doesn’t mean I can’t break my own damn promise. It was only to myself.”
Whoa. That was an influx. Her inbox was in the double digits. She guessed the program rebooted and still got emails or something? Hell if she knew how it all worked, but it was more entertaining than TV. With a quick pit stop in the kitchen for a bottle of wine, a wine glass, and a bottle opener, she got down to it. Two hours later, her emails were clear. She had answered three of them, and cackled at the rest of them on account of the bottle of wine she’d consumed. Or two, but whatever. That was what Saturdays were about lately, with her best friend all the way in Eastern Europe and no solid dating prospects on the horizon.
Taking a deep breath, she shut off the laptop and sprawled out on the couch. Her pack of furry friends jumped on her, trying to snuggle and lick every inch of her face they could get their tongues on. When they were bored, they returned to the floor and napped.
After the delicious wine and nothing to eat, she was a goner, drifting off with a flood of fantasies about the hot biker with an attitude and the ability to make her so damned weak.
There was a noise. A very, very irritating noise. Something like a shrill ringing. And a banjo, or bongo drums. Angel groaned and rolled over—promptly landing in a graceless fall to the carpeted floor in front of the sofa. God, her head was pounding.
“Right. The phone,” she whi
spered through her dry-as-paper throat, groping across the coffee table for her cell. “Hello?”
“Hi, honey? I’ve been calling you for hours. Are you okay?” Her mother’s voice echoed in her brain. Wincing, she switched the phone to speaker and set it on the table.
“I’m fine, Mom,” she groaned, leaning her head back against the couch. “What’s going on?”
Angel blinked the sleep out of her eyes as Mom babbled on. Marley was curled up in a tiny section of the couch. The other two were nowhere to be seen, which probably meant they had taken over her bed. Crap. Her alarm had probably gone off in there, and she was supposed to be at the library for one of its busiest days.
“The annual book sale’s today!” she shouted.
“It is,” Mom agreed. “I thought you weren’t working on weekends anymore, love?”
“I have to. But let me know if you want to bring over leftovers. I’m totally game, okay?”
“You need to slow down, baby. Live a little, will you?”
“I will when all my student loans are paid off. I promise.”
“All right, honey,” Mom said with a concerned tone, but thankfully canned the rest of the lecture. It wasn’t the first time she had gone on about Angel being way too overworked for a librarian, and it wouldn’t be the last.
“Listen, I have to get ready. I’ll call you tonight, okay? Love you, Mom.”
“Great. I love you too.”
Angel tapped the end call button and crawled up the sofa to get to her feet, hanging on to the wall to support her wobbly legs. Her gaze flew to the clock. Nine in the morning. Perfect. More than enough time to get rolling. With an hour to spare, she neatened up the place, tossed the wine bottles under the sink, and headed to her bedroom to get ready. Because what could be more fun than Sunday at her place of work, surrounded by more single women, families and kids than she knew what to do with?
Angel was counting down the minutes. The library sale had been a busy event. Patrons had been in and out since they opened, which was perfect for the library, but her feet were killing her from all the walking. Thankfully, in less than an hour she could go home and relax. She organized the last few remaining batches of books on the two plastic folding tables devoted to fiction, resisting the urge to stretch her arms up or crack her neck. Instead, she straightened her vintage Zac Posen leather skirt and returned to the cash register.
A pair of large, rough hands placed a thick encyclopedia and a tray with two cups of Desert Java coffee on the counter in front of her.
“This looks interesting. I think I’ll get it.”
Angel looked up from the items to a grinning Axe. He pushed the motorcycle encyclopedia closer to her. Immediately a stress headache knocked around between her ears, and she groaned.
“You again.”
“Good evening to you too.” Axe tapped against the checkout counter and crossed his arms. God, he had delicious forearms.
She picked up the encyclopedia to ring it in, trying to tamp down the urge to smile as she caught herself admiring the finely cut planes of his cheekbones. No, he was not getting any smiles or friendly comments, not after what he’d done. “Don’t you have anything better to do today?” she huffed out. “The book is seven dollars, by the way.”
He reached into his pocket, smiling as he retrieved his wallet. “You’re welcome, by the way. One of these coffees is for you, just the way we like it.”
Angel cleared her throat. She wrapped her hands around the cup to mask their shaking, and held it close. “That was a thoughtful gesture. It’s kind of creepy and a little bit presumptuous, though. Don’t you think?”
“That’s why I’m buying the outdated piece of crap encyclopedia,” he informed her, giving her a wink.
“Well, thanks for your patronage.”
“Anytime. So, how was your evening after I left?” he asked, handing over a ten dollar bill.
What a way to rub it in. She snatched the money and got him his change. “What the hell do you care?” she said under her breath so only he would hear it. “Look, as you can see behind you, there’s a line forming, so how about you take your change and your exciting new book elsewhere?”
“Sure,” he said with a smirk. “See you later, maybe.”
Angel nodded, not quite trusting her voice.
The last few minutes of her shift passed slowly, more so with Axe still perusing the sales tables. By then, the lineups had all but disappeared, and her colleagues had begun to pack up items and fold tables, wrapping up for the evening. Twenty minutes stretched into twenty years with Axe’s gaze pinned on her as she neatened up. What the hell was he waiting for? No way in hell was she giving him another chance to get her all wound up for no good reason.
Pattie-Jean, her friend from Archives, offered to close out the till while Angel put the remaining books into the surplus storage room at the other end of the building. As she rolled the cart down the wide middle aisle, feeling for her set of keys to unlock the storage room door, Axe fell into step beside her.
“Need some help before I get going?” he asked.
“I’ve had enough help from you, thank you very much,” she snapped, so unnerved that it took her a few extra moments to unlock the damned door. She pushed the cart to the back of the small room, then realized he had followed her inside.
“You don’t sound convinced of that,” Axe said over her shoulder.
Angel spun around to face him. “Listen, Axe Voltaire or whatever your name is. No one asked you to come sniffing around me, all right? Whatever mind games you’re into, they’re not working on me.”
All he did was take one step toward her, and Angel was back in his enticing snare, hands on his biceps, pressing up on her tiptoes to meet his awaiting kiss.

Axe
Axe sure as hell didn’t intend to leave Angel in the state she was in today. Not without at least reminding her what she was missing. Even if the closet was only thirty feet away from her circulation desk. She had said what she wanted to say, but nothing spoke more loudly than the same vulnerable expression in her eyes that betrayed her yet again. She wanted him, but kept her intentions tight to the vest, almost fighting against herself to the point where Axe had no idea which part of her would come out swinging.
That was half the fun.
Angel pressed her generous breasts into his chest, and her fingers twisted in a lock of his hair. “I don’t know whether to punch you or kiss you,” she admitted, tucking his hair behind his ear.
“None. Both. Whatever, just as long as you’re enjoying it.”
She purred out a laugh, and the noise went straight to his thickening cock. Christ, he couldn’t get enough, and all they had done in the dark little room was a bit of kissing.
Goosebumps launched a full-scale attack all over his body as his bulge kicked to life behind the fly of his jeans. He clocked her biting back a groan as he picked her up and sat her on the same cart she had just rolled into the room. All the air she exhaled came out in a hiss. He grasped around her waist, barely processing anything but her body and her sweet scent.
“I love this leather skirt, doll, but it’s got to go,” he told her, inching the hard to handle fabric up her legs.
Angel slid off the cart and turned her back to him. “Maybe we’re better off this way,” she suggested in a coy whisper, hiking up her skirt and bending forward with her hands gripping the handle of the rollaway cart. “But hurry. My coworkers will come looking when it’s time for the library to close.”
Fuck. Sex on the clock was not his usual deal, but for Angel, he’d make it work.
Angel pressed her ass back into his groin. God, she was gorgeous. Licking his lips, he grasped her hips and pulled her closer, just to get her nice and wet.
He reached around to her mound, sliding her panties aside. “You’re wet as fuck,” he whispered, pleased that he could turn her on so easily.
She moaned out a plea, begging him to take her now.
“Only
if you’ll let me have my way with you how I like it,” he growled into her ear, undoing his belt to unzip his pants and finally free his cock. He found a condom in his pocket and quickly opened it. “And just so we’re clear,” he muttered as his free hand roamed up to her breasts, “I mean in my bed, any damn way I want you, for the entire night. Deal?”
“Yes,” she hissed and dragged her panties down her legs.
Rolling on the condom, he took her hips again and this time, he positioned his cock at her slick slit, burying himself deep inside of her in one sharp thrust. Angel whimpered out so loudly he was sure someone would be at the door any second. She held on to the cart with one hand in a white-knuckle grip, arching her back as he pulled out and eased back inside of her. Axe picked up the pace, sliding a hand from her hip to her mound, only to find Angel was already busy at work, touching herself as he took her.
“You’re so fucking sexy,” he groaned, thrusting into her, hoping there was enough time to drive her insane. He knew he hit the spot when she threw her head back and stuffed her hand into her mouth to stop her cries from escaping the tiny room. Axe couldn’t hold back anymore. Not after walking away from her the other night, and not with her core gripping his shaft as she came. With three or four sharp thrusts, he released, filling her completely.
After a minute, Axe pulled out of her and turned her to face him. “I am not done with you,” he whispered in her ear. “Not even close. Understand?”
“Yes,” she answered.
They quickly got dressed, and Angel made him leave first so she could get him the hell out of the library before closing time. Stepping out into the warm evening air, he walked over to his bike, then changed his mind and waited beside her car. What he should have told her was that he wasn’t done with her today either.
