I smiled, loving the power I had. Mason always could make me feel smart, strong, and powerful. And now, I felt feminine, beautiful, and sexy. As I positioned myself over him, I wondered how long I could draw my visit out. Maybe this wouldn’t be forever, but perhaps I could draw it out for a week or maybe a month because I didn’t think I’d ever get enough of how he made me feel.

Chapter 12: Capturing a Moment In Time

  Mason

She was teasing me, and I was about at my limit. If she didn’t impale herself on my dick, I’d have to do it for her. I had felt lust and desire before, but I hadn’t ever felt a soul-deep need to be a part of someone like I felt with Willa. It felt so real and natural, and at the same time, it scared the shit out of me because I knew this wouldn’t last. I was a rest stop on her way to pursuing her career on the east coast. So, I’d take what she could give me and hope that I’d get enough to get her out of my system and, at the same time, remain friends.

Her eyes glinted with the awareness of the torture she was putting me through.

“If you’re not going to fuck me, you can just remove the condom and watch him blow all on his own,” I said.

“I want to feel you inside me, Mason.”

I gripped her hips, prepared to thrust up, and take care of the need clawing at my insides. She put her hands over mine and lowered down over me, and, sweet Jesus, she felt so good. Her pussy was snug, hot, wet, and massaging my dick as she took me deeper and deeper.

I groaned in a mixture of relief and frustration. “Ride me, Willa. I fucking need you to ride me.”

She took my hands and brought them to her magnificent tits as she rocked over me. I realized I was doing a shitty job at this as I was so lost in my own need. I’d fix that. I levered up, wrapping my lips around her hard, taut nipple and sucking it. As I did, her pussy contracted around my dick, and I swore sparks started snapping in my brain.

“Yes, Mason.” She held my head to her tit. Taking the message, I continued to suckle one while using my fingers to pinch and knead the other. Her tits seemed to have a direct line to her pussy as each suck and touch had her squeezing my cock.

I wasn’t going to last long, so I used my thumb to brush over her clit.

“Oh!” she cried out, and her hips moved faster. I rubbed her clit faster, moving with her and trying against all hope not to come until she did.

“Oh God…I’m coming,” she said on a long moan. Her body clamped around my cock, and stars shimmered in the back of my eyes.

I gritted my teeth, wanting to wait before I blew my load. I wanted to experience all of her pleasure before taking my own.

“Oh…oh…” her breath came out in gasps as she slowed down.

Me? I was a fucking time bomb. I wrapped my arm around her waist, and in one move, had her on her back, her legs over my shoulders, as I prepared to let go.

I had a moment to look upon her, her blonde hair strewn over my pillow, her face flushed pink, her nipples rock hard pointing up at me, her tits rocking as I thrust in. And in between, them was the sun charm. She was the most beautiful creature I’d ever seen.

“I want to feel you come.” Her hands gripped my arms as I balanced over her.

I let go of the thin tether of control. I gave into my desire. I gave in to the need to claim her and make her mine, even if only for tonight. My hips pistoned as the nerves on my dick began to crackle from the friction.

  “Oh God, Mason…I’m coming…”

Holy fuck, she was coming again. Her pussy sucked me in, squeezed me so tight, I swore a supernova blasted in my brain. I yelled out as my orgasm shot from my dick and radiated outward until I felt it in my fingertips and toes. I bucked and thrust and plunged, again and again, each time as powerful as the first. Finally, my arms gave out, and I collapsed on her.

Worried I’d hurt her, I found one last kernel of strength and rolled us until she was laying on top of me. My hand rested on her lower back as my breath came in heaving billows. Her head lay on my chest and could feel her breath blowing across my damp skin.

“I may have used every bit of cum I have or will ever have,” I murmured.

  “That was…wow…”

I was pleased that she’d felt it too.

“So, you’re alright with having left the reunion early?”

She lifted her head, her pretty hazel eyes looking at me. “I’d have skipped it altogether if I’d known about all this.” Her pussy squeezed my dick, and heaven help me, he twitched in response.

We had each other twice again, once where I took her from behind and once where she sucked me off until I blacked out. Exhausted, yet sated, I pulled her against my body.

There had been a time in my life that I had wanted this. I hadn’t been sure how to have it as our parents wouldn’t have approved, and I hadn’t wanted to ruin our friendship. It seemed like now things could be different, but time and maturity hadn’t changed our situation, not really. Our parents would probably still disapprove, and our friendship was still on the line. I had to look at this as a single moment out of time. Eventually, we’d go back to our lives, me building my business here in Eden Lake and Willa off to rebuild her career back east.

  “I think there is a fifteen-year reunion,” I said.

  “Oh?” Her voice was sleepy.

“And one at twenty years.” I covered her hand that was on my chest with my own, wanting to hold her there.

“Are you suggesting we meet and have a replay?” she asked.

“Yes, without Wyatt grabbing your ass, though.”

“It’s a date.” Her voice was so soft I knew she was on the verge of sleep.

At the same time, every-five-years was less than what I wanted but more than I could have hoped for. I wonder if it would really happen. In five years, she could be married to some New York hotshot and have a couple of kids.

The idea of some unknown guy shooting his load and impregnating Willa was even more repulsive than Wyatt grabbing her ass.

“Live in the moment,” I said to myself, remembering the mindfulness lesson I’d read earlier. Why worry about tomorrow, when right now, Willa’s soft body was nestled against mine?

Despite the physical exhaustion from the night before, I woke at five as usual. I considered waking Willa up with a sweet orgasm but decided I should let her sleep. I snuck out of bed and decided I could skip a workout for one morning, considering the exercise I’d gotten the night before. I showered and went to my office. I worked for a couple of hours and then went to make a hearty breakfast. Perhaps Willa would like breakfast in bed.

I was putting bacon on a paper towel when I heard a phone ring. I went to find it and found Willa’s phone sitting by her purse on the table in the living room. I looked at the caller ID and saw, “Dad.”

A perverse part of me thought about picking it up and saying, “Hello, Mr. Haynesville. It’s Mason McLean, I just spent the night fucking your daughter’s brains out.” It was vulgar, but I couldn’t deny wanting to see the look on his face when he realized that a McLean had touched his daughter.

  “Is that my dad?”

Willa’s soft voice came from the hallway.

  “Yes.”

“Were you going to answer it?” She asked, quirking a brow.

I sent her a mischievous grin. “I considered it.”

  “You’re naughty.”

I carried the phone to her. “I haven’t even started on naughty with you yet.”

Her hazel eyes flashed green, letting me know she was into naughty. We’d need a good breakfast for that.

“After you talk with your dad, I’ve got breakfast.” I gave her a quick kiss and then left her to deal with her family.

I had the eggs, bacon, fruit, and coffee all ready when she emerged. She was wearing my shirt, her long legs looking sexy underneath it. As she stole a piece of bacon, the whole situation felt so real, so natural. I could get used to this, I realized, and that was dangerous.

  “Everything okay?” I aske
d as I put her plate on the table.

  “It’s fine. I think.”

  “Why? What’s going on?”

I put my plate across from her and sat.

“They want to come to Eden Lake to see the house and meet with the insurance guy.”

“Should I offer to put them up?” I said cheekily, except it wasn’t funny, I realized. The nearly two-century-old feud had gotten between Willa and me once before. I shouldn’t take it lightly.

“I don’t think they’d take you up on it, although they said they’re not able to find a place to stay here right now.”

“Height of the summer season, plus with the fires, many places are offering refuge to people who’ve lost their homes.”

“It’s great that the community is doing that. I wouldn’t have thought the resorts would be so generous.”

They’re not, I thought as I sipped my coffee. Both Tucker and I donated money to help displaced families.

“We’ve got a place at Eden Meadow Park,” I said. “They can stay there.”

She gave me a look like I’d forgotten the family feud. “They won’t stay at your place.” She frowned. “You had another place, but invited me to stay here?”

I gave her a sheepish grin and a shrug. Did I tell her that even after all the hurt, I was drawn to her?

She smiled, apparently happy with my response. “Why do you have a second place?”

“Investment. Tucker stays there when he’s in town. Sometimes we rent it out. There’s no sign that we live there, so they’d never know it was owned by a McLean.” I shrugged. “If you want it, you can use it. I’ll let you decide.”

She reached out and took my hand. “Thank you, Mason. You’re so sweet. I know my parents, my father, at least, wouldn’t be so generous.”

I squeezed her hand. “We’re not our parents, Willa. We never have been.”

She looked down. I suspected she was thinking of the time she’d gotten angry at me because my father refused to help her family during their financial crisis.

  “I was, once.”

“So, you can make it up to me.” I waggled my brows.

She grinned. “I’ll need to finish breakfast. I’ll need the fuel to make it up to you.”

My dick perked up at that.

We spent the day with her making up to me and me worshiping her body. I suspect she felt like I did, that this was a fleeting thing. This was a moment in time that we could capture and save, but it would be gone soon enough. And like me, she seemed to want to get as much out of this moment as possible.

  Chapter 13: Domestic Bliss

  Willa

If I’d known being with Mason would be so good, I’d have jumped him sooner. Now that I did know, I wanted to make sure I had as much of him as possible. But it wasn’t just how thorough he was in bed that had me enthralled, but also, how sweet he was.

I still couldn’t get over the necklace. Or how he was willing to let my family stay at his condo. My family had spent nearly two-centuries putting his family down, but he was able to put that aside. I suppose we both had growing up to do. As kids, we had connected because we were both outsiders. We decided to secretly ignore the family feud between our families and become friends. And then I’d ruined it by siding with my family when his family wouldn’t help us. My father was overextended financially, and his family wouldn’t help us at all. If the situation was reversed, my father wouldn’t have helped his family either. Today, I was sure my father wouldn’t want to stay in Mason’s condo. But if they wanted to stay in town to check the house and deal with insurance, they wouldn’t have much choice.

Mason was called later that afternoon to help with a fire over in the next valley. I took the time to check on my applications and article submissions. So far, nothing. Writing was such a difficult career. Not the writing itself, although that could be challenging, but getting work. It could take weeks, if not months, to sell an article, and then another several months before getting a check if payment was sent after the article was published. Maybe it was time to consider a new career.

For the time being, I had a couple of freelance writing clients, so I worked on their projects. Then I called home to let my parents know about Mason’s place without letting them know it was owned by a McLean.

“There’s a condo available at Eden Meadow Park resort if you want,” I told them. My mom had put me on speakerphone.

  “Is it nice?” she asked.

“I don’t know, mom. It’s in a resort.” I loved my parents, but they sure could be snobby.

“It’s just that rentals can be shabby sometimes,” she said.

“Maybe you can check it out for your mother,” my father said.

“No. There are many other people whose homes have burned down and would be grateful to have a place to stay. Take it if you want to come or don’t come.”

“My, someone is in a mood,” my mother huffed out.

I took a breath to steady my nerves. “I’m not in a mood. I’m just pointing out that you’re not the only one who’s lost a home. Beggars can’t be choosers.”

  “We’re not beggars.”

I rolled my eyes. “There’s one place to stay. Do you want it or not?”

“What’s gotten into you?” my father asked. I imagined that he was looking at my mom, wondering what had gotten into me. Their heads would explode if they knew that it was Mason who had gotten into me.

I sat back in my chair, closing my eyes as I decided how much I wanted to push them. “You can’t ride into town flaunting that you’re a Haynesville.”

“I don’t flaunt.” My mother hissed.

“Are you saying you’re not going to come here and expect to be treated like royalty?” I asked. I knew they still saw Eden Lake as their town. I suspect they envisioned themselves as exiled, like Napoleon, waiting to return in a glorious welcoming to rule again. Of course, that didn’t go so well for him, and I doubted it would go well for my parents. Mason had been right in that people here didn’t care about Haynevilles or McLeans.

“Haynesvilles built that town. Don’t you think we deserve respect?” my mother said, confirming my suspicions.

“You’ll be respected, but people won’t bend over backward to impress you like they did before.”

“I bet the McLeans have turned the town against us,” my mother quipped.

I let out a loud ugh. “Nobody cares about that, mom. Besides, most of the McLeans are gone.”

  “Who’s there?” my father asked.

“Mason,” I said, wondering if they even knew who he was. Mason kept a low profile growing up. His brother, Tucker, was the one who became famous.

  “Who?” he asked.

  “He’s Tucker McLean’s older brother.”

“What does he do?” my father asked.

“He joined the navy after high school. Then he became a Navy SEAL. Now he has his own fitness business and is a volunteer firefighter.”

“He’s not a very good one. Our house burned down,” my mother quipped.

“Mom! He risked his life to try and save homes. When have you ever risked your life to help Eden Lake?”

“I’ve given plenty to the people of Eden Lake,” my mother’s voice sounded incensed.

“Do you want the condo or not?” I was so disappointed with my parents. They always had an air about them, but there was something about Eden Lake that brought out the worst in them. They truly had felt like they were royalty simply because an ancestor nearly two-centuries ago discovered gold.

“We should go, honey,” my father said to my mother. “I want to see in person how bad it is. Maybe there’s something salvageable.”

I thought of the necklace Mason had saved from the ash.

“I’ll make the arrangements. When will you be here, and how long do you plan to stay?”

“How much is it?” my father asked.

Mason hadn’t asked for money, although he said he rented it out sometimes. I decided that he was offering it for f
ree because it was my parents. “No cost.”

“Someone must be paying?” he said.

“There’s a program that is providing housing to fire victims,” I explained.

“It sounds like the type of thing the Haynesvilles would have done,” my father said. In his tone, I heard disappointment. While he’d walked around town like he owned it, much of which he did own, I think he felt like he’d not only let my mother down but the town as well. Whereas my mom liked to be queen, my father took his responsibility as a leader seriously. Not that he didn’t have a sense of entitlement or expect favors, but he was right in that he would have found a way to help fire victims if he’d been here and had the resources.

“So, when do you think you’ll be here?” I asked.

“If we leave early tomorrow, we should be there a little after lunch,” my father said.

“Where are you staying, Willa?” my mother asked.

  “With a friend.”

“I didn’t realize you still had friends there,” she said.

“You two drive carefully. Let me know when you get in, and I’ll meet you.” I’d have to come up with an answer to this at some point, but not now.

“Thank you for arranging all this, sweetheart,” my father said. “It’s going to be strange to be back there.”

“I think you’ll be pleasantly pleased. The changes are good, but much of it is the same,” I said.

After my phone call, I went to the store to get groceries for dinner, and it struck me how very domestic I was being. My man was out battling nature, and I was home making his dinner. But Mason didn’t make it back for dinner. At ten, feeling exhausted, I got ready for bed.

I was fast asleep when a hand slid over my hip, and a warm body snuggled behind me. I opened my eyes to see the clock. One-thirty in the morning.

“It doesn’t feel right to come home to find a warm sexy woman in my bed and not do something about it,” his husky voice whispered in my ear. “But, I’m exhausted.”

I turned over to look at him. The moonlight shone enough through the window enough that I could see his face. He’d showered, so he smelled of soap, his hair was still damp.
