“And the hits keep coming!”
Luther laughed. “Yeah, thought you’d like that one. Didn’t you see how fast he left when he found out she was coming?”
“Now, I need more goss than that, Luther.”
“That’s something you have to get off him. Ike is pretty quiet about these things.”
It still annoyed me that Luther had asked Ike to push me through time to get me away from the fight, but I knew he had done it to protect me. How could I be mad at him for staying even though I knew his mother didn’t want him to? Especially after she had saved me.
We headed to the food hall for a feed where I planned on grilling him about anything and everything. For the first time in months, I actually felt safe and protected, and I had everything I could ever want in a boyfriend. I’d come out a winner, after all.
Stig and Tiger were at the table in the food hall already, and we joined them. We had turned into quite the quartet of friends and I’d already made a pact with Tiger that next All Hallows’ Eve, I would be stronger and so would she. We would keep each other company on the worst day of the year.
I was loved by my biological parents, my brothers and by my boyfriend, not to mention I had the best friends a girl could ask for. Now I just needed to get through the next year without anyone trying to kill me and I’d be the luckiest girl in the world.
Things were finally looking up at Ravensbane.
