The Codes of Love
Page 25
Thanks to my parents Martin and Jenny Spice, for being there for me, for reading everything I’ve written and for not hurling the computer out of the window every time I send a new story and immediately follow up with an email saying, ‘ignore that one, read this one please,’ just after you’ve started reading. Thank you for gifting me your love of stories from the very start. To the best sister I could hope for, Sara-Gwen, who read an early draft of this book. I love you to Proxima b and back. To my brother Will, thank you for being proud of me.
Thanks to my great love Arv for your eternal support, for letting me read you all my stories out loud even when you’re tired, for putting up with half of my head being in a cloud, and for believing I can do anything I set my mind to. I’m so happy to be sharing this adventure with you and our surprisingly stable children Eva and Lucas.
Lastly, but by no means least, thank you to Lyra and Buddy for teaching me what unconditional love is and for our daily walks in the woods that remind me how beautiful our world is.
