  ‘We could be either, honestly. But I tell you what, let’s go and talk to the old man. He’s keen to see you, has been since he heard you were here and believe you me, he’s got to a lot to share. You’ll want to listen to him before you make your mind up.’

  ‘Make my mind up about what?’

  ‘Helping him. Helping us.’ He put his hands on K’Dian’s shoulders and stared right into his sunglasses.

  ‘Son...as crazy as this might sound right now with all the chaos you’ve been through since you got here....well... I don’t know the best way to tell you this.’ He stopped to take in a deep breath before continuing. ‘It’s just, you might just be the key to saving this world..’
