Lisa's Bear

by Rayne Rachels

“That’s it baby. Come for me. Give me your seat honey.” He pulled his fingers out, replacing them with his slightly elongated tongue which also gave his bear a chance to taste her sweat honey.

More. Want mate. Want mate heavy with cubs. David’s bear panted between growls.

David hadn’t thought of having children with anyone before, but now he closed his eyes and imagined Lisa heavy with their child—his cub. Moving off the bed, he quickly removed the rest of his clothes and returned to Lisa. He kissed his way up her body, stopping only when he reached her face.

“That was wow!” Her voice was heavy with emotion.

“We’re not done yet.” He caught her lips with his.

She sighed and parted her lips as she kissed him back.

David took advantage and slipped his tongue into her mouth as he deepened the kiss. By the time he released her lips, they were both panting. “You’re beautiful,” he whispered.

Lisa felt the tip of his cock resting against the opening of her still quivering pussy. He had already given her a great orgasm, but the thought of him plunging his cock deep into her pussy sent moisture leaking out of it. She looked into his dark, chocolate brown eyes. She caressed his chest, feeling the dips and bulges of his muscles. “I need you,” she whispered.

David slowly pushed his cock into her weeping pussy. He desperately wanted to plunge deep into her, but he didn’t want to hurt her. His cock was larger than most human men because of his shifter heritage.

Lisa couldn’t stand his slow process. She had seen his glorious cock, and its size didn’t frighten her. It excited her. She wrapped her legs around his waist, forcing him to plunge deep into her. “Yes!” she shouted as her muscles gripped his cock.

David stopped moving, afraid he had hurt her as well as surprised his entire length was in her. “Baby, did I hurt you?”

Lisa pulled his face down to hers and kissed his lips. “No, but if you don’t finish what you started, I may hurt you.”

David grinned and chuckled. He pulled out and plunged back into her. Over and over he plunged into her pussy.

Lisa clung to him. With each stroke, he caressed the special spot no one had ever been able to before now. Each stroke sent her closer to the edge until she teetered and plunged into the strongest orgasm she had ever had.

David heard her scream as she found her release. Her muscles tightened around his cock, squeezing it until he plunged over the edge. Her tight muscles milked his cock and with each stroke he shot his seed deep into her womb.

Each thrust escalated Lisa’s release, causing her muscles to clench tighter. With each stroke, she felt his hot seed burst into her womb causing it to quiver and clench. Finally he stopped. His huge cock pulsed inside her still trembling pussy. She struggled to gain control of her breathing. Never had she felt so full, so complete. Never had she come so hard and felt so completely satisfied.

“My mate,” David whispered against the base of her neck. He fought not to sink his teeth into her flesh. He couldn’t do it. He had to give her the choice. Yes, she was his mate, but he wouldn’t take her choice away from her. Instead of marking her, he kissed the spot he longed to sink his teeth into. “Are you okay?”

Lisa sighed contentedly. “I think you’ve ruined me for any other man.”

“Good. You’re mine. There won’t be any other men in your life or in your bed.”

  David’s bear roared his agreement.

“A little possessive?” Lisa wasn’t sure how to take his declaration. Sure, he said that now, but what about tomorrow or the next day?

“What’s wrong baby?” Concern etched across David’s face.

Lisa chewed on her bottom kip. “The sex was fantastic. I’m just worried that…” She let her voice trailed off, afraid if she voiced her fear it would come true faster.

“What are you worried about?” David caressed her cheek.

“I’m afraid you’ll change your mind about me. I’m not exactly a fashion model.”

“You don’t have to worry about me changing my mind. It’s not going to happen. Your curves are beautiful.”

“But what if someone better looking comes along? And I’m not fishing for compliments. I know what I look like.”

“You’re beautiful. I don’t want anyone else. Not now, not ever,” declared David.

  “But—”

“No buts.” David’s eyes flashed silver. His bear was too close to the surface.

Lisa’s mouth fell open. “Your eyes!”

David closed his eyes and buried his face in her neck. He knew exactly what she had seen and it terrified him.

Lisa pushed his chest, trying to get him to move. “What are you?” she struggled to get him to move off of her.

David gently rolled off of her and watched her scoot to the other side of the bed.

“What are you?” Lisa asked again. She stared at his silver eyes. “And don’t you dare lie to me, or tell me it’s my imagination or a trick of the lights.”

David pushed himself up on an arm so that his face was level with Lisa’s. “I am a bear shifter, and you are my mate. I won’t hurt you. I could never hurt you. You are special and precious to me.” He instinctively knew telling her the truth was the only thing he could do.

Lisa frowned. “A bear shifter? Are you telling me you change into a bear?”

He gave her a lopsided grin. “A Kodiak bear, if you want to be specific.”

“So you change into a bear—a Kodiak bear? Are you still you when you shift?”

“My bear and I share the same bodies. It’s a symbiotic relationship. We talk to each other. We feel the same things too.”

“And how is your bear going to react to me?”

“He will protect you because you are his mate too.”

“How can I be his mate? I’m a human, not a bear.”

Relief flooded through David. She was asking questions instead of running away screaming or ordering him out of her house. That was a good sign—a really good sign. But he was worried about how she would take the rest of what he had to tell her.

Lisa watched the emotions playing across David’s face. A sick feeling started growing in the pit of her stomach. There was something he hadn’t told her—something very serious.

  “It’s a little more complicated.”

Lisa frowned. “If it involves me, complicated or not, you need to explain it to me.” The sick feeling grew bigger. What was he not telling her?

“It’s just that—” His cellphone started ringing. “Crap!” he mumbled as he got up to get his phone from the back pocket of his jeans.

Lisa slid off the bed and grabbed the bathrobe draped over the back of the overstuffed chair in the far corner of the room. She quickly slipped it on and securely tied the sash at her waist.

“Great! No, I’ll be there in a few minutes. No, it’s not a problem.” David ended the call. The timing couldn’t have been worse.

Want to stay with mate! His bear roared its protest.

Yeah, I want to stay with her too, but it’s not happening tonight, grumbled David.

  Stay! Want my mate now!

We can’t. We have to take care of the problem at the office.

Our mate is more important. We stay

David used every ounce of his strength and shoved his bear back. The last thing he needed Lisa facing right now was a 1200 pound Kodiak bear in her bedroom.

“Is everything okay?” Lisa fought the urge to go to him and put her arms around him.

“No, it’s not. I really don’t want to, but I have to go. Someone broke into my office.” He picked up his clothes and started dressing. “I have to go and deal with the problem and file a report with the police.”

“I hope everything’s okay—I mean I hope nothing valuable was taken.” Lisa didn’t know what else to say. She had never dealt with a break-in and hoped she never had to.

“I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to cut out evening short.” He turned to face Li
sa while he tucked in his shirt.

“It’s okay. I realize things happen that we can’t prevent.” Lisa heard herself saying the words even though she felt like screaming it wasn’t okay.

“I want to see you again.”

Lisa didn’t say anything. She just nodded her head.

  “How about tomorrow?”

  “Tomorrow?”

“I’ll pick you up at 10:30 tomorrow morning.”

  “Maybe we shouldn’t.”

Before she could say anything else, David moved to her side. He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her. “Just say yes,” he pleaded when he ended the kiss.

Lisa stared at him as she chewed on her bottom lip. “How should I dress?”

“Causal. Jeans would be perfect,” he said.

“Okay.” Lisa was immediately kicking herself for agreeing to go out with him, especially since he hadn’t told her everything.

David flashed a brilliant smile at her. “Make sure you lock the door.” He leaned down and kissed her again. “I’ll see you tomorrow morning.” He turned and left Lisa standing alone in the bedroom.

She slowly shook her head. This wasn’t not how she wanted to end the evening.

  And the worst part?

All of her questions would have to wait until she saw him tomorrow.

  CHAPTER 3

Lisa took a long look at her reflection in the mirror. The midnight blue sweater skimmed over her hips and stomach. Her ample breasts helped make her waist look smaller. The black stretch jeans cover her thighs and legs like a second skin, making them the perfect partner with her black, knee-high boots.

Her blonde hair danced around her chin and jaw when she tilted her head. Her eye makeup was minimal but dramatic enough to make her blue eyes pop. A pair of silver drops in her ears and a long silver necklace completed the look.

Lisa was pleased with what she saw. She just hoped David liked it too.

He told her to dress casual, but he didn’t tell her where he was taking her, and it made her a little nervous, but not as nervous as the information he hadn’t told her about his being a bear shifter—correction—a Kodiak bear shifter.

  The doorbell rang.

Lisa took a last look at her reflection and smiled. No matter what, she looked good. On the way to answer the door, she stopped long enough in the living room to grab her purse and coat.

“Hey, how are you?” she asked as soon as she opened the door.

David stared a Lisa. A smile slowly covered his face, making his eyes shine. “Now that I’m here with you, I’m doing really well. You look beautiful.”

“Thank you.” Lisa blushed. “I hope this is okay. You didn’t say where we’re going.”

“What you’ve go on is perfect, but then you’re perfect.”

Lisa rolled her eyes. “Are you ready to go or do you want to come in for a few minutes?”

“I’m ready if you are,” said David.

Lisa frowned. “You don’t want to come in.” She was sure he would want to come in, at least for a few minutes. Maybe last night didn’t mean as much as she thought it had.

“If I come in, we will never leave.” David grinned, making Lisa blush even more.

“And that would be a bad thing?” She raised an eyebrow.

“If we don’t make it to the ranch, someone will come looking for us and I guarantee they won’t stay outside. But I’m game if you are.” David’s eyes turned silver for a few seconds.

“As much as I like you, I’m not into being the Sunday feature for someone’s viewing enjoyment.” She stepped out of the house, closing the door behind her. As hot as her face felt, she knew her cheeks had to be bright red.

“That’s good because I’m not into sharing even if it is just a peek, and I would hate to have to kill one of my cousins. Do you have your keys?”

“Yes.” She held up her keys and shook them.

David took the keys out of her hand and locked the door.

“Hey, I was going to do that.” Lisa was stunned. No one had ever taken her keys from her like that.

David shrugged his shoulders and handed the keys back to her. “We need to get going,” he said, changing the subject.

“What? No sorry?” Lisa put her hands on her hips.

“Is there something I should be sorry about?” He acted like he had done nothing wrong.

“Yeah, taking my keys from me.”

“I gave them back.” David gave her a lopsided grin.

“You still owe me an apology.” Lisa crossed her arms in front of her.

David’s grin grew big. An almost wicked gleam lit up his eyes. He took a slow, predator-like step closer to her.

Lisa’s eyes widened. She wanted to turn and run but she remembered something she had seen on television about not running from predators because it would make them chase you. So, against her better judgment, she stood her ground.

Two seconds later David has her in his arms and his mouth on hers. The kiss wasn’t soft and sweet. It was hard and demanding. It was his possession of her.

He broke the kiss and stared at her stunned look. A broad grin covered his face as he looked at her swollen lips. He kissed them softly. “Mine!”

His bear growled it approval. My mate! Want my mate!

  Soon.

  Now!

She has to know. She has to make the decision.

  My mate!

What if? David couldn’t finish the thought. He didn’t even want to think of the possibility.

No! His bear roared. My mate! His bear pushed to take over.

David shoved back. He couldn’t let his bear take away Lisa’s choice. And then there was the other reality he had to take into consideration.

His bear growled and shoved again in his effort to take control.

David sighed as he let Lisa go and stepped away from her. No one warned him that finding his mate would be this complicated.

“Is everything okay?” Lisa sensed something was wrong. She just hoped he wasn’t having second thoughts about her. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise her if he was, because most of the guys she had dated in the past had turned out to be like that. It hurt being rejected because of her size, but if David rejected her, she wasn’t sure she would survive.

“Everything’s just fine,” said David. He plastered a smile on his face. “We need to get going.”

Lisa bit her bottom lip, but she didn’t push the issue. Sooner or later he was going to have to tell her whatever it was he was keeping from her.

David led her to his truck in the driveway and helped her into it. He made sure she was comfortable and buckled in before he got in behind the wheel.

Ten minutes later he turned off of the farm market he had taken shortly after leaving Lisa’s house, and turned onto a private drive. He drove under a huge iron arch, depicting a mountain scene with bears and deer just above the words Paradise Found.

  “That’s beautiful,” said Lisa.

“Wait until you see the house and grounds. Grandma really has a green thumb. If she can’t grow it, no one can.”

“Your grandmother?” Lisa stared at David in disbelief. “We’re going to a family gathering?”

“We have them every Sunday. Don’t worry. We gather at the ranch for a huge meal, family time and romps into the woods.”

“Romps into the woods?” Lisa swallowed. “So your whole family changes into bears?”

  “Yes.”

“And bringing me here is a good thing because?”

“We need to talk and I thought doing it here would be a good idea. That way if you have questions, you can get answers from the women who have already been through it.” David parked the truck next to several cars and trucks.

“This ‘it’ is the something you’re not telling me.” Lisa looked at David.

He nodded his head. “We need to talk about a few things that happen when a human mates with a bear shifter,” he agreed.

  “So talk.” Lisa wasn’t thrilled
about the way he was handling this. “You know what? Don’t worry about it. I don’t want to know.” She unbuckled her seatbelt.

  “Lisa?”

“Let’s just get out and go meet your family. They’re waiting for us anyway.” She gestured toward the house. The front door was open and several people were standing on the front porch.

David sighed. This wasn’t going the way he planned. Not only were his grandmother and mom standing out front, but April Davenport was there too, and she didn’t look very happy. David got out and went around the truck to Lisa’s side. He opened the door and held out his hand to her. “Come on, I want you to meet my mom and grandmother.”

Lisa took his hand. “Are you sure this is a good idea?” The more she thought about meeting his family, the more nervous she got.”

“You have nothing to worry about.”

Lisa chewed on her bottom lip. “All right, it’s your funeral,” she said as she took his hand and slid out of the truck.

David laughed. “With you by my side, I can’t think of a way to go!”

Lisa rolled her eyes, but walked with David up the sidewalk to the house.

“I was beginning to think you two were going to sit in the truck for the rest of the day,” said a gray haired woman. She stepped forward with her arms open. “Come here and give me a hug.”

“Hello Grandma. How are you?” David hugged and kissed the woman.

“Don’t you dare forget about me.”

David stepped out of his grandmother’s embrace and into the waiting arms of a short, auburn haired woman. “I would never forget you, mom.”

“And who is this beautiful young lady you brought with you?” asked David’s grandmother.

David stepped over to Lisa and put his arm around her. “Mom, Grandma, this is Lisa Mathers. She is Ben’s English teacher. Lisa, this is Pamela Anderson, my grandma, and this is my mom, Mary Anderson.”

Lisa held out her hand to the women. “It’s nice to meet you both.”
