Bean's Heart (Hearts of ICARUS Book 7)

She left the bathroom, walked around the room to check on the candles, then turned toward the bed. She turned the covers back, revealing cream colored silk sheets that she couldn’t help but run her fingers over.

A light, warning knock sounded on the door just before it slid open and she smiled to herself. She wasn’t sure how they could possibly have managed to shower in such a short time, but she sure wasn’t going to complain about it.

She turned to watch Zander, Zach, and Zain enter the room, each of them carrying a small bag and dressed in nothing but jeans and t-shirts. Zander dropped his bag on the floor, his eyes fixed intently on her as he crossed the room. He stopped and placed his hands on either side of her neck, tilted her head back and covered her mouth with his own in a long, deep, passionate kiss unlike anything she’d experienced before. By the time he lifted his head she was panting, her eyelids drooping heavily.

“That was even better than I imagined,” he breathed throatily.

“You’ve been holding back,” she said when she found her voice.

“We didn’t want to make things more difficult for you,” he said, brushing his thumbs lightly along her jaw.

Zain stepped behind her, his hands going to her sides, then following the sash of her robe to the front before untying it. He slid it down her shoulders very slowly, brushing his fingers along her skin all the way down both arms before letting it fall to the floor. He kissed her neck, then placed his lips next to her ear.

“I love the way your skin feels,” he said huskily. “It’s like warm silk. I love the way you smell, too. That delicious floral scent you wear mixed with your arousal has been making me crazy for so long now.” He plunged his fingers into her thick, soft curls. “And I love your hair. I’ve spent weeks trying to imagine what it would feel like against my skin. Now that I can feel it, I realize my imagination is greatly lacking.”

Bean turned to face Zain, moving slowly to give him time to take his hands out of her hair. She was surprised to find him naked and gasped softly at the sight, her own arousal intensifying. From the way he closed his eyes and breathed in, it was clear he knew it. She placed her hands lightly on his chest, the warm smooth skin beneath her hands making her shiver.

Then she was in his arms, and he was kissing her passionately, her arousal spiking far beyond that which she’d grown accustomed to over the past few weeks. She moaned into his mouth as he pulled her closer against his body, the hot length of him pressed against her belly making her shiver.

When Zain ended the kiss, then turned her gently, her eyes opened and she smiled at Zach, who stood just behind her. She let her eyes roam down his body as his had roamed hers.

Zach remained still, letting her look her fill. When she looked up at him he was a little surprised by the heat and desire in her eyes, and instantly responded to it.

He reached for her waist, and lifted her against him so that her breasts pressed tightly against his chest. Her legs went around his waist and her moist heat pressed against his stomach. He groaned as he thrust his tongue into her mouth, telling her how much he wanted her, and how much he loved her with the depth and passion of his kiss.

When she adjusted her position so that her heat was directly against his, he gasped and shuddered hard. She reached down between their bodies to touch him with her fingers, then looked into his eyes. He knew what she wanted, and he immediately wanted the same thing. It took every scrap of will he possessed not to give it to her. But he couldn’t risk hurting her.

“Is this your first time?” he asked in a low whisper. She nodded. “I’m not sure this is the right position, mon seul. I don’t want to hurt you.”

“Please,” she whispered, her eyes never leaving his. He saw how much she wanted this, and couldn’t have denied her for any reason.

“Of course,” he replied, then looked up as Zander and Zain came closer. “Is she ready?”

Zain reached down from behind her and stroked her gently, spreading her wetness. She moaned, and they all began breathing just a little harder.

“She’s ready,” Zain said hoarsely before leaning in and kissing her shoulder.

Zander stepped behind Bean and grasped her waist so that Zach could free one hand. He positioned himself and clenched his jaw hard when the sensitive tip of his cock came into direct contact with her silky, wet, heat.

He lowered her slowly, and carefully, giving her body time to stretch around him, his eyes locked with hers. She gasped and bit her lip, making him think for a moment that he was hurting her. Seeing only pleasure in her eyes, he continued. When he felt her barrier, his arms tightened reflexively.

“This is going to hurt, mon seul, he said breathlessly.

“Only for a moment,” she replied, smiling gently at him.

He drew back, then thrust forward sharply, breaking her hymen and burying himself as deeply inside of her as he could get. His head went back, the tendons in his neck revealing the effort it took to remain motionless, to give her body time to adjust. Her hands tightened on his shoulders and she lifted herself up just a little, then down again, surprising him. When he looked down at her again he saw pure, raw need in her eyes and began moving, withdrawing slowly, then thrusting deeply. It took but a few moments to realize she needed more, but the position didn’t allow him any leverage.

“Lean back,” Zander said to Bean. She looked at him questioningly, then released Zach’s shoulders to do as he’d asked.

Once Zach was sure Zander had her, he slid his hands down to her hips and began thrusting in earnest. With every stroke she became impossibly hotter and wetter. Zain bent his head over one pink nipple and sucked it into his mouth, using his teeth gently to increase her pleasure.

Zach was so close that it took everything he had to hold back his own orgasm. He was just about to reach for her clit when she suddenly cried out and tightened around him in long, rolling waves that drew his climax out of him so hard he felt it in his toes. Bright lights flashed behind his eyes as he came harder than he’d ever thought possible.

When they’d caught their breath a little, he bent forward to kiss her. He wished he had words to tell her what that had been like, what it meant to him, but he couldn’t think of anything that came close to doing her justice.

He slipped out of her carefully when he saw her brow crease, the need for another of her mates already upon her. Zander raised her up so Zach could wrap his arms around her again. He carried her to the bed and laid her down, then climbed up beside her.

“Are you all right?” he asked.

“I had no idea such pleasure was possible. But I feel…,” she trailed off, her skin turning pink in the candlelight.

“You need all three of us,” he said matter-of-factly. She looked surprised.

  “What’s that mean?”

“It means you need all three of us to come inside of you before you’re able to feel…complete. You didn’t know that?”

“No,” she said slowly. “Or if I did, I forgot it. Is it that way for everyone? Berezi or Arima, I mean.”

“I don’t know, mon seul,” he replied. “But I do know that it’s perfectly normal.”

She shivered suddenly as a wave of need raced through her body, her nipples hardening to the point of pain, her brow creasing again as her body moved restlessly. Zach looked up in time to see Zain climb onto the bed.

Bean bit her lip hard enough that Zach feared she’d break the skin. Then she gasped when Zain placed one hand between her thighs to widen them.

“Hurry, Zain,” she pleaded. Zain glanced up at her worriedly, then did as she asked, moving into position. He entered her in one long stroke, his eyes closed tightly as he shuddered with the intense pleasure.

“I can’t believe this,” he groaned, the intense pleasure of being inside their berezi beyond anything he’d ever experienced. He began thrusting wildly, all semblance of control vanishing in an instant. “I’m not going to last,” he gritted between his teeth, hoping his brothers would help him
to ensure her climax before he found his own.

“Neither am I,” Bean gasped, her long, strong legs wrapping around his waist. He leaned down and thrust his tongue into her luscious mouth, groaning again as he kissed her deeply. Just as he raised his head her legs tightened around him, pulling him against her as she came, her back arching off the bed as her walls gripped him tightly. The sight of her in her pleasure tipped him over the edge and he came hard and deep within her, every muscle in his body locking up as he shuddered and shook in the longest, most intense orgasm of his life.

When he could think again, he found himself still within her, his head hanging low, hands on either side of her as they both fought for air. He leaned down to kiss her chin, her jaw, her lips, then withdrew from her body before rolling to one side.

As strong as her orgasm had been, Bean was already showing signs of distress. Zander had no intention of allowing her to suffer a single moment so he quickly moved into place, thrust inside of her with a long, drawn out moan of pleasure, then began fucking her hard. He felt her cervix against the tip of his cock with every stroke, each one pulling a small gasping moan out of her.

He knew he wasn’t going to last even as long as Zain had. She was too beautiful, too innately sensual, too open and natural as she embraced her sexuality for the first time, too hot, and tight, and soft. He was grateful when Zach reached down to milk her clit while Zain caressed and pinched her nipples.

Zander stopped, shifted his position so that he was on his knees and pulled her hips up higher. The new position caused his cock to press against her g-spot and allowed him to reach even deeper inside of her. He pounded into her, his grip on her hips tightening as he fought to hold back.

Then, all of a sudden, Bean’s head went back against the pillow and she screamed, every muscle tightening as she went into a full body orgasm that washed through her in long, intense waves. He came so hard he couldn’t even breathe. He continued moving inside of her while her orgasm continued for several minutes. When she relaxed against the mattress she had a small, very satisfied smile on her face that made him grin from ear to ear.

Her eyes closed and he withdrew from her, then moved to where Zach had been beside her. When he came out of the bathroom with warm cloths Zander and Zain sat up. The three of them cleaned her skin, taking their time, enjoying the ritual that they’d never performed before.

“That was…what was that?” Bean asked opening her eyes just as they finished.

Zander smiled, knowing exactly what she meant.

“That was a full body orgasm,” he said. “I’ve heard of them, but never seen one.” Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. “It usually takes meditation and concentration to achieve.”

“So…,” she said hesitantly, slowly dragging the word out. “It’s not…normal?”

Zander laid down beside her, propped his head up with one hand and used the other to gently turn her face to him.

“No, Ederra, it’s not normal. It’s one of those things that everyone wishes they could achieve, but few can.”

  “It’s not a bad thing?”

“No love,” Zain said, sitting on the bed beside her. “It’s a fantastic, wonderful, amazing thing which, all things considered, isn’t too surprising.”

  “All things considered?” she asked.

“You are without a single doubt, the hottest, most exciting and sexiest woman we’ve ever seen,” he said, his expression serious. “You respond so beautifully, and so intensely, and when you come…well, I’m not sure there’s an adjective that comes close to describing how mind blowing it is to watch.”

“Knowing that we can pleasure you enough to send you into a full body orgasm is the biggest ego boost ever,” Zach added.

Bean smiled, her face, chest, breasts and shoulders turning pink. “In that case, I suppose I’ll have to do it again. For your sakes.”

Zander laughed, then leaned down to kiss her lightly. As much as he, Zach, and Zain would love another round or two, this had been her first time and they didn’t want to push her.

“Bean,” Zach said, his tone serious enough that both Zander and Zain looked at him curiously. It took Zander only a moment to understand what Zach was about to say, and a moment after that, Zain got it too. Zander and Zain both nodded to Zach in full agreement.

“Yes?” Bean asked curiously, not missing the byplay between the three of them.

“We’d like to soul-link with you. Tonight.”

Bean’s eyebrows rose in surprise. One glance at Zain, and then Zander, told her they all wanted this. “Why do you want to do this tonight?”

“Because you have to go to some unknown place, and do something dangerous, and we can’t come with you,” Zander answered. “We can’t guard your back, or help you in any way.”

She nodded. “And converting me will make it a little more difficult to kill me.”

“That’s true,” Zander agreed. “But, more importantly, if the unthinkable happens to you, you’ll be able to wait for us to join you. Our souls will be linked. Forever.”

Bean was so touched she had a hard time relaxing her throat enough to speak. “That’s really tempting,” she said, tears stinging her eyes. “More than tempting. I wish we could do it. I hadn’t even thought of that before you just said it, but I can’t think of anything I want more. But we can’t.”

“Why not?” Zain asked, leaning down to run his fingers slowly through her long, silky curls.

  “Because of the Armonia.”

  “The anti-chaos?” Zander asked.

  “Yes.”

“I don’t understand. What has that to do with us linking?”

“As I told you, Vari and I both have a share of it. It’s in our physical bodies, though. In our cells. If we soul-link, we’ll be remade, and that will destroy the anti-chaos. That’s why Vari hasn’t soul linked with the Dracon-Bats yet even though they’ve been together more than a year, now.”

“That’s a reason we can’t argue with,” Zander said. “We’ll just have to wait, then.”

“It does put a little pressure on you, though,” Zach said, running his fingers along the silky skin of her leg from her knee to her ankle, leaving trails of goose bumps behind.

“Pressure?” she asked, unable to control the tremor in her voice as her arousal flared back to life.

“Yes, pressure,” Zach said. “You have to come back to us whole, mon seul. You’ve got no choice in the matter. Understood?”

“What’s that mean? What you called me?”

“My one,” he replied smiling. “Technically, I should say our one, but notre un doesn’t sound as pretty in French as mon seul.”

“No, it doesn’t,” she replied, gasping softly when Zander caressed her breast with his fingertips before tugging gently on a nipple.

“Tell me you understand that you’re to come back to us, mon seul,” Zach insisted.

She met Zach’s bright blue eyes steadily. “I understand, Zach. I promise.”

“Excellent,” he said, smiling as he lifted one foot in his hands and bent to nibble on her toes. Her eyes widened in shock at the sensations that ran up her leg. His arched brow told her he’d only just begun to surprise her. She had no objection to that at all.

  Chapter 25

Bean sat at the table in the master suite with her men the following morning, having breakfast. Every now and then she’d close her eyes and smile gently.

“What are you thinking of when you do that?” Zach asked as he reached to refill her coffee from a carafe.

“I’m thinking about last night,” she said, her cheeks heating. “I wanted to memorize every moment and I think I did. If not, I got most of it, at least.”

“It was an amazing night, of that there can be no doubt,” Zain said. “In fact, I had an epiphany earlier.”

“An epiphany?” Bean asked, frowning slightly. “Was it good or bad?”

“I’ll tell you the epiphany, then you tell me if it’s good or bad,” he suggested. Sh
e nodded. “Do you remember when I told you that, for me, sex was like a drug? Something I never seemed to get enough of?”

“Yes,” Bean said, dropping her eyes to the coffee in her hands, her shoulders stiffening with sudden tension.

Zain’s hand touched her arm lightly. “I’m sorry, Bean.”

“It’s all right,” she said, offering him a tiny smile. “Please finish.”

“Well, I just wanted to tell you that I understand now why I never felt…satisfied. I needed you, Bean. We needed you. What I felt with you was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. It was…enchanting.”

“I agree,” Zach said. “Making love with you wasn’t at all like anything I’ve ever experienced before.”

Bean considered their words, trying to understand their meaning, but failed. “I understand it’s more meaningful to be with those you’re meant to be with, but I get the feeling you’re saying something more than that.”

“We are,” Zander said, frowning as he tried to think of a way to explain. “It’s like seeing the world around you in black and white, without sound or scent or color. Then all of a sudden everything changes. There’s vivid color everywhere, revealing exquisite details you never imagined existed before. Your senses are filled with delicious scents and lush sounds.” He shrugged. “I’m not exaggerating. Not at all. There’s nothing in the universe that can compare to the joy of being with you, Bean. Nothing.”

Bean blinked rapidly, then let the tears overflow her eyes. “That I understand,” she said, using her napkin to blot her tears. She opened her mouth to say something else, then went still for a long moment. “It’s time,” she said softly, setting her napkin down.

“Do you know how much time you have?” Zander asked.

“Not long,” she said, pushing her chair back. “Good thing I took a shower earlier cause there’s no time for one now. I need to hurry and get dressed.”
