About the Authors

J&M Irwin is the pseudonym for husband and wife writing team Jackie and Mike Irwin who work in awesome storytelling tandem using their past as a backdrop of knowledge and wisdom. Although he grew up in Colorado, it was his passion for the South and hers for Colorado that God used to bring the two together. Mike was way out in California when the two met online. It wasn't long before he moved to Tennessee just to be near her. The rest of the love story is still being written as they share their love of God, family, photography, movies, books, day trips and their first granddaughter whom they call Lovey.

This couple definitely has a heart for the youth of today and feels the need to stand in the gap for them in a way that’s quite unusual and rare. They want to help today’s young adults understand, relate and get to know characters from the Bible that they can relate to on a more personal level, and maybe even recognize themselves in some of their traits and learn from them. Jackie believes that taking one step at a time is a lot easier than trying to run a marathon, and therefore learning one character at a time is easier than trying to learn the entire Bible all at once! That’s where the idea for the Edensville High Series came in. By taking the people from the old testament and putting them in high school together showing their character flaws, their mistakes, their errors and certain particulars of their personalities, they hope to help others see that those in the Bible were human not perfect, but with a relationship with God they made it work one step at a time.

The couple believes in God the Father, His son Jesus' death, burial and resurrection and the empowerment of Holy Spirit daily. They believe in making God the number one priority in their lives, then each other and family. Because when you line up with the Word of God, all other things fall into place. When asked, "What is the best part of being a writer?"  Both agreed, "I get to work with my best friend!"
