William replied getting an apple.

“Although, I wish I could have found out the story

about this place. Since, most of the people I asked know only

  bits and pieces of it.”

“What did they say?” John asked getting some grapes. “Not much, it was just that the founder was a girl and

she was the eldest daughter Adam and Eve and her name was

Chora,” William replied getting also some grapes. “They also said the name of this place was actually

taken from her name and that Inchora means beginning.” “I guess her glass mosaic might tell you a bit more

and I"d tell you what I know as well,” John replied as he stood

up and asked William to follow.

“Really! She has a glass mosaic? Where is it?”

William exclaimed getting some more grapes before following

  John.

“Not all people get to see it that much,” John replied

as they entered the throne room.

“Which among the mosaics hanging here is hers?”

  William asked.

“It"s not hanging up there,” John replied standing

  beside the chair.

“Where is it then?” William asked confused. “Right here,” John said tapping the chair.

William looked at the chair closely. He saw it already

the first time his uncle showed him the room. But as he looked

closely at the wooden chair he can see that behind the tree like

chair was actually colorful glass. As he looked behind, he

noticed that it had an almost flat back and saw an amazing

glass mosaic. It was as big as the ones hanging on the wall but

it occupies the whole back of the chair instead.

“So this is her glass mosaic,” William said touching

the glass mosaic seeing that it looks like the image of Inchora,

just like how it looks like whenever he is sitting at the front

porch of the house overlooking the whole of Inchora. He can

see Laurus and the lake and the houses like it was alive. “This is Inchora,” he said looking at John.

“Indeed it is,” John said behind William looking at the

glass mosaic as well. “She loves this place for it is their

  home.”

“What do you mean?” William asked surprised. “Inchora, is actually the place where Adam, Eve and

all their children lived. This is their land,” John replied

  smiling.

“Really? Why doesn"t anyone know that here?”

  William asked.

“Well, only the guide and the elders share this

knowledge. But you can tell it to your class as well later if you

like. I think they"ll me amazed to know about it.” John said. “It"s not a secret?” William asked amazed at the great

details of the glass mosaic from each and every plant to all of

  the houses.

  “It"s not,” John replied.

“We just don"t tell it unless people ask. But I"m sure

they"ll like to hear the story as well.”

“Could you tell me more about her and this place?”

  William asked.

“Sure, I"ll tell it to you then as we walk to your

school. You might get late,” John said and reminding William

to change and to get his story journal.

As soon as William got dressed he took his journal

and pen and saw John sitting at the porch outside waiting for

  him.

“It still looks like Chora"s glass mosaic even after all

these years that has passed,” William said sitting beside John. “Indeed, but every time I look at it, it still gives me the

same wonder and amazement,” John said.

“Yes it does,” William replied smiling. The scenery

gives him the same wonder, comfort and hope to do better

each day in achieving The God Wish.

“Well let"s get going then. I"d tell you the story as we

walk to your school. Make sure to remember them and write

them down for your story report,” John said standing up. “I will,” William said.

Chora was the eldest daughter among Adam and Eve"s children. She was next after Cain and the two are very close being the big brother and sister to their siblings. When Adam died Eve was seduced by the archdemons and she became the first damned one. In saving her, the eldest son Cain became a damned one in her place and accidentally killed his youngest brother Abel after Eve died. The death of Abel was made known to Chora first. Since, it was her enlightened city which was the closest to their home. The cherub of Abel also had Chora as the last stop in informing everyone about the death of their mother.

As soon as the cherub disappeared in front of her, Chora knew that Abel had passed away and flew immediately to their home. She had two archangels at this time. As soon as she reached their home, she saw the body of Abel and Eve beside Cain sitting beside them just looking at them. Chora saw Cain"s eyes filled with sorrow although his eyes are unable to shed tears with the heat of his body. Cain never spoke in his sorrow and just looked at her.

Chora knew Cain more than anyone and believed that he did not intend to kill their brother and mother. Unlike Abel, Chora was able to control her emotions and did not attack Cain, rather she asked him to leave their home and allow her to bury Eve and Abel beside the grave of their father Adam. Cain was thankful it was Chora who arrived after Abel for he knew her well and trusted her. He left without saying a word and took all the demons staying at their home with him, and as soon as he left the place was cleansed.

Chora buried that same day her brother and mother and decided to be the caretaker of their home to prevent the demons from corrupting it again. Nothing was left after Cain left for everything they had was corrupted. It was in her control of her emotions in this tragedy that she acquired the virtue of temperance and the archangel Zadkiel with the gift to control nature. This allowed her to restore their home and farmlands. But she wanted it to be a place where people can start a new beginning, to find forgiveness and peace, and to be a place where people can return anytime and find a home. With her powers, she was able to summon the life giving water Aqua deep within the earth and it formed the lake that you see today and made Inchora the place where all the life giving waters begin.

She also planted a tree beside the graves of her parents and brother to mark their graves that grew to be the large tree Laurus. She planted as well all the plants in this place and gathered all the animals making it a copy of the Eden that her mother and father always dreamed it to be. The people of her enlightened city eventually transferred here and this became instead the enlightened city that it is today. She became the guide for a long time and married the glass mosaic creator Tiryn. That is why the practice of making glass mosaics has been a tradition here in Inchora ever since.

“Does that make her my great grandmother?” William asked.

“Indeed she is,” John smiled. “We as the generations of guides of Inchora are actually her descendants and you must show respect to her parents and brother as well whenever you enter Laurus, for they reside deep within its roots.”

“I will uncle,” William said happily finishing his notes and entering Laurus ready to tell the story.

  CHAPTER 17

  TIRYN

“How are you doing old man?” Paul said seeing Lunasul kneeling beside the almost drained pool of Aqua. “Have you come to take it all?” Lunasul asked filled

with sorrow seeing how shallow the pool had been. “We have enough already. The remaining Aqua there

is yours,” Paul replied sitting beside Lunasul.

“It was ours to begin with damned one,” Lunasul

replied miserably. “Do you know the story of how Arda came

  to be?” Lunasul asks.

  “Aqu
a is actually for all old man,” Paul replied. “No I

don"t. When I came here years ago I believe it was already

your father Jerico who ruled this place.”

“He was a great man,” Lunasul said sitting down and

looking at a painting above the pool.

“He was the one who found this place again years

after it was buried from the sins of the previous Ardans. Do

you know that stone painting above the Aqua?” Lunasul asked. “No I don"t. Your father did not show me this place,”

  Paul replied.

“And it was my mistake to show it to you,” Lunasul

  said in regret.

“But that is in the past. The souls told me to show it to

you and I should believe that their counsel is correct as I tell

you now the story of this place just as I am advised to do as

  well.”

“Sometimes we just have to do what we"re told wise

man,” Paul said looking at the stone painting.

“That painting was made by the founder Tiryn,

husband of Chora - the founder of Inchora. It was he who

changed the ways of Ardans from just hunting to planting

plants. The painting above serves as his legacy to guide

Ardans. It was told that he took great caution and care in

painting that image.” Lunasul said looking at the painting that

was still as beautiful as the first time he saw it.

“It might look really simple but it is told that he never

allowed a single drop of paint to fall on the Aqua below it and

it took him years to finish this painting to show Ardans that

even small acts if done diligently through time can turn to

  something beautiful.”

“Indeed it is a great painting,” Paul said seeing clearly

for the first time the painting as he never had time to look at it

when he knew that the water in the pool was Aqua. It actually shows a festival of some sort where instead

of people hunting animals it was actually people planting

plants and pouring water on them which he assumed to be

Aqua. Since, the people took good care of never spilling the

water and using it sparingly on all the plants being planted in

the painting. It shows also the growth of the plants after they

  watered it with the water.

“Is that Aqua their using to water the plants?” Paul

  asked.

“Indeed, it is,” Lunasul replied. “Tiryn knew the

miracle of Aqua in helping plants grow. That is why the plants

that we have here inside the cave grow well even if we just

water it once a month because we use Aqua.”

“Now we don"t know if we have enough Aqua to

water the plants in the future,” Lunasul continued filled with

  sorrow.

“Not everything that we have will be with us forever

  Lunasul,” Paul replied.

“Indeed, damned one… indeed,” Lunasul sadly

replied. Realizing the words of the damned one was true even

though it angers him that the Aqua was stolen from them.

“Would you like to hear more the story of how Arda was

  created?” He asked.

“I love stories,” Paul said smiling.

He might find out the story behind the painting above

the pool for he can clearly distinguish that there are two types

of people depicted in it. If Ardans are the ones being taught to

plant then the other people with them would surely be

Inchorans. Surely, the first plants they planted came from

Inchora for nothing grows in Arda.

“I believe you know of Chora?” Lunasul asks. “How can I not know the eldest daughter of Adam and

Eve and founder of Inchora,” Paul replied.

“As all know,” Lunasul continued. “But known to

only a few, the real enlightened city that she founded first was

  actually Arda.”

“Continue,” Paul said amused at how he never knew

  of this.

Chora was the first person to arrive on their home when Cain killed Abel and as Cain left with all the demons she was able to rebuild their home to become now as Inchora. But the original enlightened city she built was Arda. It was here that Adam stayed with the first Ardans and where he knew of simplicity and content amongst the first Ardans who lived peacefully and satisfied with what the desert offered. Chora loved this place as it was also the one nearest their home amongst the other enlightened cities and she can visit their mother anytime.

She was a woman of simplicity who loved deep prayers and meditations. She was the one who improved the dwelling place of Ardans to allow them to have their own rooms within this cave while allowing the air to circulate equally to each and every room maintaining the same temperature in even the tiniest corner. The mosaic of crystal Aqua near the entrance was actually made by both Chora and Tiryn to ensure that these crystals will keep the temperature of Arda conducive for all who live here through all generations.

After the death of Eve and Abel, she decided to rebuild their home that it became the new enlightened city. Some of the first Ardans went there and helped her while only a few remained. This place was left in despair and loneliness that it soon became instead the first damned city. As Cain took with him the demons from their home some eventually stayed here in Arda when he passed by. It corrupted the few remaining Ardans and for several years this cave was just a barren hole with people barely alive in it.

Years passed by and Inchora grew to become an Eden. Arda continued to be barren as one by one the remaining Ardans died from the corruption of the demons. It was then that after the death of Chora with her son succeeding her that Tiryn came to Arda, for the last dying request of Chora before she died to Tiryn was to rebuild Arda.

Tiryn together with a few Inchorans who were sons and daughters of the first Ardans that came with them to build Inchora joined him to go back to Arda. Together, they cleansed Arda of the demons living in it and buried all the Ardans who died in what is now the place where we grow our crops.

They might have lived a corrupted life but they offered their bodies to be nourishment for the first plants to grow and their souls as the first companions of the new Ardans.

Tiryn and the new Ardans were still able to get plants and Aqua from Inchora for some time. They are the ones who planted the first crops and they built this small pool of Aqua to conserve time from traveling always to Inchora. It was told that this looked like a small lake of Aqua, like a replica of the big one in Inchora. But as Tiryn and the Ardans who joined him died, this tradition disappeared as well.

Moshe, the son of Tiryn and Chora who was then ruler of Inchora made his eldest son Sheon his next successor, while the youngest son Jera went to Arda to become its guide. But the two brothers soon had arguments with the amount of Aqua being brought to Arda and soon enough the two brothers decided to never speak to each other and both cities lived separately.

Tiryn as a gifted artist knew that his glass mosaics will not be suitable in this cave that even if sand is abundant in the desert to build glass it would cause more heat in the cave instead. Thus, he developed a paint that absorbs moisture but never fades from the plants of the deserts and this is now what is used by the Ardans to make their cave paintings. Some of the paintings that you see as you enter the cave are actually paintings of the Ardans that came with Tiryn and it shows their hopes and wishes for every Ardan that continue to dwell here.

As my father Jerico succeeded after his father, he found this pool of Aqua. After studying all the cave painting outside he believed this pool of Aqua would still exist and he was right.

Upon seeing the painting of Tiryn he decided to continue the
tradition that Tiryn left for Ardans to follow. Thus, even with the few Aqua that we have, we join the Festival of Hope where Aqua is offered at the Border of Dreams. It is to continue the hope that in the future there won"t be a separation between Arda and Inchora and the two places would finally be one. Just like how Chora and Tiryn wished and hoped it will be.

“But now I don"t know if we have enough to offer for the festival,” Lunasul ended the story with despair. “Why didn"t I know about this festival before?” Paul asked. “The communication between the two places disappeared also during the time of my father. His kindness to you even with your banishment from Inchora years ago resulted in conflict. The guide of Inchora banned anyone from Inchora to communicate again to Arda.” Lunasul replied.

“He believed that you can still be saved as a fellow guide but the leader of Inchora believed you were beyond saving and this disagreement broke their friendship as well.” Lunasul continued.

“You do know how to destroy everything damned one.”

“It is my nature after all,” Paul said. “But, to show my gratitude to your father and to appease your sorrow, I would share some of the Aqua I have gotten for this festival that you won"t have to take more from this pool,” he continued.

“Where is this Border of Dreams where the Festival of Hope happens?” He asked.

“Thank you damned one,” Lunasul bowed lightly even as anger filled his heart for the Aqua was rightfully theirs from the start.

“It is at the east far from here that it takes several day of walking in the desert. We just follow where the sun shines. The sun though it scorches us serves as the guide to the Border of Dreams where the sand and grass meet,” Lunasul continued.

“And when will this festival be?” Paul asked knowing that this would be a great opportunity to kill the Inchorans than going to Inchora where only enlightened ones and those guided by angels can reach the place.

“It is when the cold breeze would start to blow from the west just a few months from now,” Lunasul said looking at the painting. There is still hope that he can still continue the practice even with the shortage of Aqua.

“I would order my men then to prepare the Aqua for this festival,” Paul said as he stood up to leave. The old man has provided him again another opportunity for his mission.

„The boy will be there," he said to himself, he knows he will be.
