After The Moon Sets (Werewolf Paranormal Romance)
Page 2
“My apologies,” I said, and I wasn’t sure why, “it’s protocol for my protection.” I explained softly.
Why was I being so humble to him? This Werewolf was no friend of mine, he was my enemy. However, for the sake of the Agency, I had to do my duty and work with him, even if that meant addressing him as a King.
“Forgive me,” I said bowing my head, “I meant no harm to disrespect you or your pack.” I burned me to tell him that. I didn’t owe him anything. In fact, when all of this was over I would personally add him to the watch list, waiting for him to make a mistake so that I could terminate him.
Aiden turned to face me and I gasped from his beauty. I knew what to expect when I accepted the mission to work with him, but even his most recent picture did not do him any justice. He was unbelievably stunning. Aiden was very tall, standing a little over six and a half feet, his body was ripped with muscle, there didn’t seem to be an ounce of fat on his body. He had a face full of stubble, as if he hadn’t shaved in days, and his chest was hairy. I shook my head from the improper thoughts of running my fingers through his hair chest. Aiden smiled and approached me. I stiffened, remaining absolutely still. I was intelligent and witty, but I also knew that I was standing in front of something much older and more powerful than me. I was also unarmed. Aiden leaned into me and sniffed me frequently. He wrinkled his nose from the smell of the wolfs-bane, but it didn’t seem to bother him as much as it did the others.
“Your scent is well hidden behind the wolfs-bane, making it difficult for me to read you. I do however, smell you arousal for me. Unfortunately, there is no perfume that will keep me from that.” He mocked. I groaned in embarrassment. I couldn’t believe that I let myself become vulnerable to him. Aiden paced around me in silence for a moment, twirling his fingers around my long blonde ponytail, and pausing to stare into my eyes.
“Such vibrant and beautiful blue eyes. I don’t imagine you as a hunter.” He said. I gently removed his hand from my hair.
“Really? How do you see me?” I asked curiously.
“Married and pregnant, possibly with a few mutts of this pack.” I frowned and took a step away from him.
“I’m here because you requested help from the Agency.” I reminded him. Aiden smiled.
“You are all about business I see, very well then.” Aiden answered. He walked over to the fire place and pulled a large white box with a beautiful red ribbon wrapped around elegantly into a bow. He held it out to me.
“A peace offering?” I teased, shaking the box, “Or maybe a bomb?”
“Open it.” He instructed. I walked over to the nearby study desks and sat it down. Slowly pulling the ribbon off, I opened the box to find a long beautiful black gown and a pair of black stilettos. I wasn’t even sure if I could walk in heels anymore. I’ve only worn them during my training.
“You should take a shower,” he suggested, “Vampires are no fan of Wolfs-bane either. It doesn’t affect them they it does with us, but it will annoy them.” I stared at him strangely, still holding the gown in my hands.
“I specifically asked for a female hunter, simply because Vampires are weak to beautiful women—even the dangerous ones.” He said with a wink.
“What?” I questioned, still holding the gown in my hand. Aiden groaned and looked back at me with a heavy frown.
Aiden smirked. “Are all female hunters just as annoying as yourself?”
I tossed the gown on the table and made my way to the door. “I don’t need this shit. Julian can find someone else for you to toy with.” I snapped, heading for the door.
“I need you to meet the problematic Vampire, see him with your own eyes. The Vampires are throwing a ball tonight, and I’ve been personally invited. I won’t go there without protection.” He explained. I froze at the door and turned back to face him.
“Aiden are you insane? You have no idea what they are up to? You were just planning to walk into the lion’s den, hoping that you would walk out unscathed?” Aiden shrugged.
“They have no quarrel with me, and besides the last thing they want is to fight a war with a Werewolf pack with no Alpha.” He reminded.
“Then why the urgent need for help with the Agency? Why the evasive allegiance?” I questioned him. Aiden stared at me blankly.
“They didn’t tell you why you are here?”
“They told me I would get instructions when I arrived.” Aiden laughed.
“I suppose the Agency didn’t think you would accept the job once you realized what you were getting into.” He laughed.
“Please shower and change into something more appropriate. Sarah will assist you and we can chat more about the mission on the way to the ball.” He explained.
Chapter 6
I complied; besides, what choice did I have? I certainly wasn’t going to return to the Agency and let them know that I couldn’t handle a simple task of accompanying Aiden to a ball. After I showered and dressed myself in the gown provided, Sarah assisted me with my hair and makeup.
“There, now you look like a princess.” She said, tossing the mascara on the vanity table. I turned to her, staring at her oddly from the heavy sarcasm in her voice. I wasn’t sure why she was being cold.
“What’s the matter with you?” I asked her.
“Aiden looks at me as if I’m nothing. I should be with him at the ball.” She complained. The sadness was evident on her face. She was in love with Aiden and sadly enough, she was ignorant to the fact that he wouldn’t love her unless she held the scent of his mate.
Werewolves tend to linger and whore around until the scent of their mate attracts them, forcing them to settle down. Once their nose picks up on that particular scent, they will never want another woman other than their mate. Some Wolves found that lingering scent in human females, but it was rare, very rare. They don’t usually breed outside their race unless they don’t have a choice, or they want a litter of mutts to assist them with humanly duties. The great thing about mutts is that they can play both sides of the field.
“Trust me on this one, you don’t want to go where I am going. Hell, I don’t want to go.” I told her. Sarah shrugged, ignoring my encouragement.
“We better get going,” she suggested with a permanent frown, “he’s waiting for you.”
Sarah led me back to the foyer where Aiden stood looking flawless in a tuxedo. He smiled once he noticed me and I walked over to him. I didn’t apply any wolfs-bane, however I did put the perfume tucked in my bra. Aiden frowned at me again. It was still the same as applying it. He couldn’t read my scent so long as I had wolfs-bane on me.
“Don’t worry, I’ll leave it in the car when we arrive.” I assured him. “I promise I’ll smell just a like a vulnerable human girl.” Aide rolled his eyes and rapped a long mink-fur coat around my shoulders.
“We should get going.” He suggested. I followed him out to the car.
I suppose the best thing about traveling on the Island is that you didn’t have to travel far to get where you were going. We seemed to arrive to the castle quite quickly, within ten minutes and that was in bad weather. Aiden held out his hand before we were assisted out of the limousine and I knew what he was asking for, he wanted the wolfs-bane. I rolled my eyes and handed it to him.
“Oh fine,” I grumbled. “Let’s get this over with.”
“The castle was just as lovely as I remember it. I’ve been in the Vampire castle as often as I can remember, bringing forth criminal Vampires before the Vampire Sherriff of this town.” The servants took my coat, and we were well on our way to the ballroom to mingle with the other guests of this lavish event. Vampires surely knew how to hold class and style whenever they hosted an event.
“You still stink of wolfs-bane.” He complained.
“Fine, I’ll lay low for a bit until it wears off. Don’t worry, I’m a big girl.” I assured him. Aiden frowned, but left me to make sure his presence was known.
I had to stand out in the cold for at least a half hour to make c
ertain that the scent wore off. While I waited, I allowed my mind to assess the situation. What could a Vampire possibly possess that would be both dangerous to Werewolves and Humans? I was dying to know, which is why I anxiously walked back inside onto the ballroom floor to join Aiden. The bobby pins that Sarah placed in my hair were piercing my scalp, and I pulled my elegant bun loose to free my head from the torture. I was never a big fan of the beauty is pain theory. I shook my head, letting my hair fall wildly down my back. At this point, I didn’t give a damn how my hair looked, I was more intrigued to learn the mission.
I needed to find Aiden, so I casually looked around the palace, hoping to find him not too far away.
“Excuse me…” Aiden spoke from behind me. I had quickly come accustomed to the sound of his voice. He planted his hand gently on my shoulder, turning me to face him.
“Really Aiden?” I complained, “You lost sight of me simply because I took those stupid pins out of my hair?” Aiden didn’t respond. He stared at me intently, as if I were merely a piece of meat, leaning in and sniffing me vigorously. He moved so close into me that I had to push my hands against his chest to force him back.
“What are you doing? Get back you dog.” I complained. He didn’t listen.
“That smell… I’ve waited centuries for that scent.” He murmured. I laughed lightly and shook my head.
“Oh no, I’m not your mate.”
“The scent doesn’t lie.” He countered. I increased my strength to push him away, but I couldn’t. He was too strong. Aiden was also becoming very obvious and the Vampires were beginning to stare.
“I said, stop it!” I increased the tone of my voice, hoping to get his attention.
“Do we have a problem here?” A male Vampire came to my defense. His extreme pale skin was obvious, there seemed to be something very different about this particular Vampire. He seemed very old, older that I could possibly comprehend.
I can pick up on a Vampire’s age by their appearance. No matter how immortal they are, their bodies still age over time. They can live for thousands of years, but eventually their body becomes immune to blood and they eventually turn into stone, especially if they don’t have a mate at their side.
Vampire’s love differently. Their love is very intense, a love that is difficult to explain. Most of the time, they stalk their intended mate for years on end and simply sweep them off their feet before they realize what happens. Aiden finally loosened his grip and released me, meeting eyes with the Vampire.
“Hanah, I’d like you to meet Lumar, the elder prince of this coven.” Aiden introduced. He stood defensively in front of me, pushing me behind him. I wanted to push him away, but this proved to be a battle that I couldn’t fight on my own. I had to be smart about this, wait the interaction out until I could get myself to safety.
“Nice to meet you Lumar.” I greeted.
“You don’t remember me?” Lumar asked. I shook my head. He seemed strangely familiar, but I couldn’t place where I knew him from.
“Oh Aiden, you have a problem with addressing anyone that is above you. Lumar is not just the prince of this coven, he is the prince of all Vampires.” A beautiful Vampire spoke, joining his side.
So, this was the threat that was a possible danger to both Werewolves and Humans. I was definitely confused.
“I thought all of the elder Vampires were resting.” I mumbled. It seemed that my study guides were clearly outdated.
“I awoke from my slumber many years ago. The beautiful voice of my future mate cried out to me, giving me a reason to awaken from my slumber.” He explained with such a vibrant smile. Judging the way he obviously ignored the beauty that stood beside him, I knew immediately that she wasn’t the woman in question.
I wanted to gasp in shock, but I had to hold my poise. This was a very awful situation and a very dangerous one as well. A Vampire prince could not be controlled nor could he be stopped from what he wanted. In dummy terms that meant that the devil had risen from hell to bring forth hell on Earth. Everyone would have to sit back and enjoy the show until he grew bored and fell asleep again.
I was very uncomfortable, and this was the second time in my life that I was afraid of anything. I needed to get out of there, get away from him. Lumar could toy around with me if he pleased and there would be nothing I could do to stop him. The entire Agency could do nothing to stop him.
“I think I should be going.” I said. The beautiful Vampire laughed.
“I think I smell fear….” She said in such a mocking tone. I wanted to punch her right in her face.
“Now I smell anger. What are you going to do about it hunter?” She taunted. I bowed my head to Lumar in respect and made my way to the coat check. Aiden followed behind me.
“You should have said something.” I complained to him. He didn’t answer, his mind seemed far from the problem at hand.
Once we were inside the limo, I quickly grabbed the wolfs-bane that rested on the seat and tried to apply it, but Aiden was too swift for my schemes. I wanted to deter his mind from my scent that he was clearly mistaken about. Aiden grabbed my hand roughly and snatched the small bottle from my hand, tossing it out of the passenger window. I knew what was coming next. Aiden was going to try and claim me.
The claim was nothing short of rape. He was going to take me, and he didn’t care where or when. Even as I tried my fighting skills against him, he caught me by the neck, forcing me on my back against the seat.
“Stop it!” I yelled, but the moment I felt his large hardened member brush up against my opening, my heart began to quicken and my arousal kicked into full gear. The moment he picked up on my scent, his force intensified.
Chapter 7
Aiden’s kisses began rough and intense, forcing me to feel every bit of passion that he poured into me. His hands searched my body, landing on my on my cleavage. He stopped for a moment, leaving me gasping for air. With a heavy frown, he ripped my gown open, exposing my breast. Laying his lips gently on my areola, my back arched up instinctively, my body calling out for more of him. He played with me for a moment, his tongue grazing around my nipple, me dizzy. I couldn’t help it, I couldn’t take it anymore. I wanted him to take me.
“Oooh,’ I moaned. “Please, do whatever you want, just stop torturing me.” I murmured into his ear.
“I’m just getting started my love.” He countered, pushing my hands to my sides. He slowly began to travel down my body, leaving a trail of kisses behind sending my body to a place I’ve never been before, tearing the gown even more along the way with my undergarments until I was completely exposed. His hand traveled between my legs, forcing them to widen so that he could position himself between them. I was too weak to stop him, I wanted this, every moment of it. I was no better than a typical human girl, I wanted him to impose his will upon me.
Aiden buried his nose into my opening, causing me to gasp in pleasure from the anticipation.
“Oh god,” I whimpered. I was expecting him to continue, but he paused, crawling back up to face me. “What’s wrong?” I asked embarrassedly.
“You’re untouched…” He realized. I looked away from him, my body turning red from embarrassment.
Yes, I was true. I was a twenty five year old virgin. I never had interest in any man that crossed my path until now. I never felt so over powered and so protected all at once. It was those feelings that made me weak to Aiden’s charms. Aiden captured my face with his hands, forcing me to meet his gaze.
“I will be your first, and your last.” He assured me. Aiden released me and traveled back down to my opening. He did things that I never dreamed of, kissing the lips of my vulva passionately, licking my clitoris, tasting and swallowing every ounce of fluid my body produced from his touch.
I thought I was going to die in passion for a brief moment, and just when I thought I was going to pass out, Aiden began to climb on top of me, removing his pants in the process.
“I don’t want to take you here, but I have to have you
now. I can’t wait a moment longer.” He confessed, pressing his member gently against my opening. I didn’t care at this point, I wanted him inside of me. I wanted to feel what I had been denying myself all these years.
“Do it, take me.” I whimpered. Aiden kissed me passionately for a long moment, and moved his lips to my ear.
“This is going to be painful at first, but I promise you will grow to enjoy it.” He spoke and before I could answer, he entered me. I screamed lightly from the pain, digging my nails into his skin. Aiden seemed to enjoy it and he was gentle at first, staring into my eyes as rocked back and forth inside of me. It wasn’t long before the pain went away and I could feel my body become more aroused as he pushed deeper inside of me. The more my arousal intensified, the more Aiden pushed deep inside me. It wasn’t long before I felt myself climaxing, and Aiden could tell from the change in my scent that I was about to cum. He grabbed my hair roughly, forcing me to meet his eyes.
“Let me look into those beautiful blue eyes and watch you cum for the first time. I need to see you Hanah, let me see how you cum.” He pleaded. His words were too strong for me, I couldn’t handle him.
“Ahhh, God!” I yelled into his ear. I felt my walls pull tightly around his shaft as he continued to push inside of me, and my body sent me on a journey that I didn’t think that I would come back from.
“Yes, Hanah, that is what I wanted to see. This is exactly what I wanted to feel.” He yelled, and then I felt him pour himself into me. His body stiffened for a long moment, only to collapse onto my chest right after.
He rested on top of me for a while, until he felt me shiver from the cool air that crept through the slightly open window. Aiden climbed off of me and pulled me up, wrapping the mink tightly around me. A strong wave of shame hit me and suddenly I felt like a whore. I looked away from him, holding my head down in shame, but Aiden wouldn’t have it. He caught my face, lifting me up to face him.
