His arms went up and around me, like he was pulling me into a great big bear hug. My mind was stunned, thoughts reeling, as I tried senselessly to figure out what to say. What was he doing there? What did he want? How had he found me after nearly two whole years had gone by? Was he there to stop the wedding?

Heedless to prevent it, I felt my body respond to him immediately. I breathed in his intoxicating scent, relishing the spicy smell of him as his strong arms closed around me. Automatically, I leaned in towards his warmth. But just as I began to come to my senses, just as I started to pull back and thought that maybe I should even scream now, he reached up and pressed a handkerchief to my face.

Tasting and smelling something sickeningly sweet, I immediately began to fight him. My arms came up within his hard, heavy grip, and my fingers began to flail helplessly against his chest, as if I was trying to push him away from me. But it was no use. My vision started spinning around me, I lost my footing, and my entire body went limp as I collapsed within his arms. I felt his thick biceps tighten around me, and then I was lifted up. Weightlessly, my entire reality spun and tumbled, the colors all around me bleeding insensibly together, until finally, everything just went black.
