Fight It Out Series Box Set

Did Dad have people watching my every move all over the U.K.?

  Was it really possible?

“Oh, look.” I pointed at a little pub that had a sign that read, Best fish and chips. “Let’s check it out.”

Brooks parked the car in a parking space around the corner from the entrance. As we walked up to the door hand in hand, I fell in love with the place. There was a large window in the front of the building, so you could see the whole cafe from the sidewalk. Several people filled the tables, laughing and chowing down. When we walked in, I noticed a small bar set in the back and a couple older gentlemen sitting with their beers, carrying on an animated conversation.

“Welcome,” an older woman with graying hair said and reached for two menus. “Just two?”

“Yes,” I said, still soaking up the surroundings.

“You don’t sound like you’re from around here,” she said and placed two menus on a two-top table next to a window.

“No, we’re from the U.S. Just enjoying a little R and R for a few weeks.”

“Good for you.” She patted my shoulder. “Sherri will be right with you.”

“Thank you.” I lifted the menu and realized how annoying it was to read with my sunglasses on. “You pick for me.” I set it back down and rested my arms on the table.

“Oh, okay.” Brooks seemed a little thrown off by that decision.

“Welcome,” our waitress, Sherri, said. “What can I get you both to drink?” She started to pull her pad and pen out of the pocket of her apron. “Wait.” Taking a few glances in my direction, she made me feel uncomfortable. “You were just on TV.”

I knew I scowled at that statement. “I’m sorry?”

  “You’re a fighter, right?”

I glanced over at Brooks, feeling a little confused. “Um, yeah.” My face must have looked just as shocked as his did. Which was hilarious.

“Bobby,” the woman yelled across the whole cafe. “Come here.”

Now I wanted to shrink away to nothing.

“What? I’m trying to finish orders.”

“It’s your favorite fighter.” She pointed her pen in my direction. “That’s her, right?”

He stared at me the whole time he walked toward our table. “Hard to know with those sunglasses on.” I hesitated for a beat and then removed them. Several people around me gasped. He stopped suddenly. “Well I’ll be. It is Charlie Hill.”

“You know who I am?” I knew I sounded confused.

“Of course we know you,” this Bobby guy said and reached for a pad and pen. “Can I have your autograph?”

Here’s the thing: I was several miles away from Liverpool in a small town, so having someone recognize me here was a bit strange.

I reached for the pad and pen he held out for me and flipped to an empty page. “Bobby, right?”

  “Yes, thank you.”

Placing the pen on the paper, I started to leave a simple but kind autograph. I could remember when it happened to Lily the first time. She didn’t know what to do. We both were women who didn’t start this career for the fame. We did it because of the fight. I loved the feeling of being in an octagon, and the sounds of the crowd only amplified that. It was a rush.

“Here you go.” I handed the pad back to him

“Thank you so much.” He reached for it and ripped off the page I wrote on. “I need to go hang this up. Thank you again.” Then he disappeared as quickly as he came.

“Sorry for his manners,” Sherri said. “He doesn’t really like talking to people.”

“Unless it’s one of his favorite fighters.” Brooks winked.

“Exactly.” She touched his arm. “Okay, you didn’t come in here for all that. What can we get you to eat? Oh, and your drinks.”

“I’ll have a sparkling water,” I said, feeling a bit uncomfortable without my sunglasses on. I slid them back in place and noticed my body calm.

“I’ll have the same,” Brooks said.

Sherri made us both jump when she yelled once again across the room. “Deb, grab me two sparkling waters.” She placed her pen to the pad. “Okay, and food?”

“We would love the fish and chips.”

“Oh, you won’t be disappointed.” She scribbled down our order and quickly walked away.

“Um, what just happened?” I whispered to Brooks.

“You just gave your first autograph in a pub in another country.” He reached over and grabbed my hand. “Holy shit that was awesome.”

Wow. That’s the only word that was flashing across my mind at the moment.

  12

I plopped down in the passenger seat. “Okay, that was all completely unexpected.” Sherri, our waitress, insisted our meal was on the house.

“Yeah, I still feel weird we didn’t pay.” He put the key in the ignition and started the car.

“Talk about feeling out of your element.” I removed my sunglasses since it was getting dark. There was a hat in my bag on the back seat if I needed to hide my eyes. As the GPS started up I got a little excited. “Oh good, we’re almost there.” I was ready to be out of the tiny car. There was something about small spaces that didn’t sit well with me.

“Then I have plans for you,” Brooks said, backing out of the parking spot.

“Then don’t drive like an old man. Put that pedal to metal, baby.” His face was priceless because we had an ongoing discussion about how slow he drove.

“I follow the rules. There’s a difference between slow and obeying the laws.”

  “Yeah, yeah,” I teased.

We were crammed in the car for another two hours. As we pulled up to the hotel, I was wishing it was daylight because the place looked adorable. Rudds of Lulworth was on the main road in the small little town. Brooks parked and I reached for my baseball cap. The place seemed too quiet, but we called earlier and let them know we would be arriving soon. The moment we stepped into the main entrance, I knew we’d made the right choice on where to stay.

An elderly man stepped behind the counter. “Good evening. You must be Brooks Moore?”

“Yes, sir,” Brooks said, stepping closer. “Sorry if we’re a little late.”

“Oh no, son, you’re right on time.” He pulled out a large book. “Martha is making some dinner now for everyone. How long will you both be staying?”

I grabbed a hold of Brooks’s arm. “We were thinking two weeks? If that is too long, we understand.”

He lifted his head and smiled. “You’re more than welcome to stay with us for that long. We would love to have you here. Where are you both from?”

“Las Vegas, Nevada in the U.S.” Brooks pulled out his I.D. for the guy.

“Well let’s make this a relaxing holiday for you both.”

  I already loved the place.

“Would you like a second helping, sweetie?” Martha said, lifting the bowl of steamed carrots.

I leaned back in my seat and placed my hands over my stomach. “I don’t think I can eat another bite.”

The moment we’d set our bags in the room, Martha had knocked on the door. She had insisted we come down for dinner. We both never turned away food.

Now we were sitting at a table with six other guests. Plus, Martha and her husband, Bill, the guy who checked us in earlier, were enjoying dinner, too. The family-style eating was new for me, and I had a feeling it could quickly grow on me. When I lived at home with my parents, every one of us ate when we wanted. There was no family time. Nobody cared about sharing their day or swapping silly stories.

Here at this table, everyone took the time to introduce themselves. When it was my turn to share, and yes, I still had sunglasses on, I let them know I was a mixed martial arts fighter. There was a collective sigh and several that were saying oh several times.

“So that’s why you have sunglasses on,” Bill said, grabbing his napkin to wipe his face.

“Yeah.” I slid them off and everyone gasped. “I had a fight in Liverpool about thirty-six hours ago.”

“Did you, now?” Martha sounded excited which made me curious.

“Are you into MMA, Martha?” I leaned up and rested my arms on the table.

“Well sometimes. When it becomes bloody, I have to look away.”

“I understand that.” It was a good thing she didn’t watch my fight the other night because it became a blood bath.

She raised her spoon. “I think my son loves it, though. Well, he did when he still lived at home.”

“It’s a fun sport,” I said, feeling a bit awkward.

“Are you on holiday because you wanted to celebrate your win?” Bill asked.

“We wanted to take a trip just because I knew we couldn’t go to England without enjoying a little exploring.” Which was true. I was hell-bent on taking some time off. It had only taken me a minute to convince Brooks; he was on board at the mention of beaches. At first, I wanted Lily and Julian to join too, but Lily insisted we take time just the two of us. She knew we needed that alone time.

Brooks and I had slowly become a couple out of the blue. There was no courting stage. One day everyone knew we were together. Lily felt taking this trip would help strengthen our relationship. Honestly, I thought we were pretty tight already.

Brooks squeezed my thigh, taking me out of my thoughts. “Huh?”

“Martha’s curious about our plans for the trip.” Brooks winked.

I had the itinerary all mapped out in my head, so that’s why he let me take the lead on the question. “Oh, nothing fancy. Just lying on a beach. Eating amazing food. Relaxing a lot.”

“No real sightseeing?” Martha sounded shocked.

“Probably not this trip. Maybe next time.”

“Then you need to make sure to enjoy Lulworth Cove. The beach is just stunning.”

I glanced over at Brooks and grabbed his hand. “We’ll do that tomorrow.” Then I turned back to the sweet older woman. “I’m excited to explore Durdle Door.”

She placed her hand on her chest. “It’s magical. Oh, you will immediately fall in love with that beach. You may want to just stay there.” She winked.

“That’s what I like to hear.” It was further confirmation we choose wisely on our destinations for this trip. “I think my boss would be sad if I just up and disappeared.”

“Good to know. If you don’t come back one evening, we’ll send off the alarm bells.” Bill chuckled and took a drink of his water.

Somehow this conversation felt odd even though we were all laughing. Every time I thought about someone watching me on this trip, the fear of being taken messed with my mind. Bill’s words gave me a little ease.

Of course, nothing was going to happen, though.

“Finally”—Brooks pushed me backward into the room—“we’re alone.”

I was trying not to trip over anything as we made our way inside. Brooks used his foot and kicked the door shut and then did some quick Matrix movement and locked us in. “Look at you all stealth and shit.”

He surprised me by pushing me onto the bed. “Now, you need to keep things a little quieter than normal. Think you can handle that?”

“Depends on what you have in store tonight.” I sat up and tucked my hands around the waistband of his jeans to tug him forward. “I can’t give you any promises.”

“Oh, is that how you’re going to play.”

  “Maybe.”

I stood and jumped into his arms. Something came over me, and suddenly the cat in heat was at it again. The man made my hormones spike every second of the day. I bent and kissed him, but it was more than just a simple kiss. He opened immediately, allowing me access. I took what he offered and more by exploring every part of his mouth. He tasted of bourbon and a hint of lemon. The flavors took me over the edge, and I needed more.

“Charlie…” He tried to pull me back a few inches. “Why the rush?”

“Rush?” I said, panting. “Can’t a girl get all hot over her man?”

“Well, when you put it that way.” He nodded for me to continue accosting him. “Carry on.”

God, I loved this man. I stopped suddenly at that thought.

  “What? Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine.” I shook my head, clearing away that word. “Totally fine.” Bending down again, I took what I needed.

Brooks stumbled backward, slamming his back against the dresser. I tightened my legs around his waist and leaned back to strip off his shirt. As I rubbed my hands up his chest, letting the hair slide through my fingers, he squeezed my ass and untucked my T-shirt. There was a chair next to the dresser. He moved over and let his body fall into the cushion. I fumbled with the button on his jeans and then started to unbutton and unzip them. He made me stop for a brief moment to pull my shirt the rest of the way off.

  “Brooks,” I moaned.

  “Tell me what you need?”

I stood up and slid my leggings off. Then I placed my hands behind his knees and tugged his body forward. I reached into the open compartment of his boxers and took what I needed. “This.” Dropping to my knees, my one hand was resting on his thigh for support, and the other circled around the whole length of him. Before bending down and taking what I had been craving since the airplane bathroom, I asked teasingly, “Is that okay?”

  He only moaned.

Finally, I took what was mine. I wrapped my mouth around him moving up and down at a slow pace in the beginning. Each time my mouth came up, I circled my tongue around the tip and then dropped down again. I continued those movements but slowly started to increase my pace. My hand on his thigh moved to cup his balls and carefully move them around while letting my mouth create extreme pleasure for us both.

“Charlie,” he ground out. I moaned, creating more friction. “Fuck do that again.”

He asked, and I delivered. With every movement, I moaned and never stopped. After a few minutes of this beautiful rhythm, I could feel him get harder, and then he released. I never stopped until I knew he was done. Then to play a little unfairly, as I moved my mouth off him, I sucked hard on the tip and then lifted my head. “You evil woman. Paybacks, baby.”

“Give it your best shot, Hollywood.”

He lunged forward pushing me onto the floor. “You sure about that?”

“Oh, I’m sure. Why are you making me wait?”

Brooks stood to remove his jeans and boxers and then joined me back on the floor. The only piece of clothing left were my panties. He tapped the juncture in between my thighs. “We need these removed. Should I rip them off or slide them off?”

  “What are you feeling tonight?”

  “Rip.”

I threw my arms to the side and opened my legs. “I’m all yours.”

He dropped his head and bit down on fabric. The movement caused me to jump and grip the rug a little tighter. “You smell so good.” I saw his tongue move up, and then he lifted his head to face me. “Should we continue this evil game?”

“I fucking want you inside me so bad,” I ground out, lifting my behind in the air.

He never said a word; instead, he reached down and found a way to rip my panties into two halves. After he tossed them over his shoulder, he lay down onto his chest and spread me apart for better access. Then he dropped his head and began to suck, nip, and lick. My body was struggling to stay focused. It was on the verge of a release. Right as I was about to have a mind-blowing orgasm, he lifted his head. “Maybe this is boring you. Should we do something else?” I pushed his head back down, feeling my body about ready to explode. “Or not,” he mumbled as he continued to make me feel alive. The moment he started to suck hard on my clitoris, I bucked up into the air and cried out my release. There were little baby aftershocks, so he never stopped pleasuring me.

“I may make you do this all night long.” I loved how my body felt.

He leaned up. “My jaw would need to be massaged several times.”

  “That can be arranged.”

Brooks started to inch forward. “What was that about being inside you?”

I jumped up and grabbed his hand to tug him over to the bed. This time, I pushed him back onto the bed. “This.” I climbed onto his body and straddled his legs. “I want this.” I could feel his hard length, so I lifted slightly and managed to place him perfectly, and then I slid down slowly. “Brooks.” He placed his hands on my hips and squeezed tightly. I wanted to take it slow, but I could feel him grow bigger with each movement. “Fuck this slow shit.”

  “That’s my girl.”

I moved my body back and forth at an increased pace not letting up. My orgasm slammed into me, causing me to fall forward. “I need you for a little bit longer, baby.”

Lifting my body up, he helped me move up down at the fast pace once again. After only a few moments, he cried out his release and tugged me back down. “Don’t leave me just yet.”

“Never.” If I could have Brooks inside me for hours, I would. Laying my head on his chest, I tucked my arms under his shoulders. “Think we kept everyone awake a little longer than we should?”

He nudged for me to lift my head. “I plan to keep them awake even longer.” I thought he was joking, but then I felt him start to get hard again.

  “Mr. Moore.”

“It’s not my fault.” He shrugged his shoulders.

“Let me take care of this problem.”

I heard a creek, probably from an old floor board on the outside of our room. It took me a moment to register where I was, and then last night popped into my mind. Smiling at the memories, I snuggled closer to Brooks.

  “You okay, sunshine?”

“Now I am.” I wrapped my arms tighter around his body. After two more rounds, we finally snuggled under the covers and crashed out immediately. Thank goodness our room was on the second floor at the end of the hallway. Hopefully, we didn’t really keep anyone awake.

“We should get up and have breakfast with everyone.”

  “But—”
