“It’s okay, baby- I jerked off before waking you up. Just take it.” There’s no one more considerate. Ryan tugged on my leg, and my skin burned as I slid a little down the silk sheets covering my bed. Reacher deeper into my channel, he groaned as my orgasm ripped through me, and he wasn’t even all the way in, yet.

“Yes-s…!” My moan wrenched from my throat as I curled sharply, and my baby wiggled and wormed inside me. Ryan’s pelvis clung to mine, and I gasped desperately for air between undulations. The coarse hairs on his thighs rubbed mine raw, and I panted shallowly as he pulled back to thrust a slow, easy pace.

“You’re so fucking beautiful when you cum, baby.” Sweat slicked Ryan’s palms, and he rasped harshly as I whimpered. His cock stretched my walls, caressing the quivering flesh, and my abdomen tightened as he reached to palm my baby bump. Even that was an action filled with tenderness, and I clenched my jaw as pressure built behind my eyes.

“Oh- yes-s-s…” The atmosphere choked me, thickening with need and emotion, and I groaned gutturally as Ryan thrust. His slow, savoring pace sent shocks up my leg, but there was no part of him that was rough, now. Even his balls didn’t slap against my core, and I covered his palm with mine to squeeze hard.

Hot, throbbing, Ryan’s cock forced pulsing waves of pleasure up my spine, and my neck strained as I gave in to them. His hand flexed against my bump, and I moaned a high-pitched sound when he leaned over me. Being ever so careful of my leg, he ground his body against mine with his thrusts, and my eyes rolled from the euphoria. Warm, shallow breaths flowed between my breasts, and his hand left my bump to knead my breast.

“I’m so fucking proud that you’re mine, Gwen- I fucking love you, you know that?” Nodding as I shuddered from the force of my orgasm, I panted harshly, and the pink fog in my head grew denser. Sucking my nipple between his teeth, he squeezed my breast hard, and I arched sharply in a silent plea for more. “Yeah-h-h- I love this fucking gorgeous body…”

Sweat slickened my skin, and I bit down on my lower lip as Ryan shuffled to shove his face between my breasts. His hot, open-mouthed kisses and licks and sucks sent shivers down my sternum, and I groaned in protest when his cock slipped out of my channel. Setting my leg over his, he gripped my ass tightly, and he captured my lips as he found my entrance without any assistance.

“Tell me how much you love my cock.” The rasp tugged a whimper from deep in my chest, and Ryan rocked my hips back and forth as he thrust. Opening my mouth, my dried tongue only worked enough to roll of a moan, and my thighs trembled in preparation. “Yeah- yeah, baby- fucking cum…”

“I’m c- cumming- I’m cumming… Ryan- Ryan…!” The pressure behind my eyes flooded down my neck, and I choked on my moan. Ryan’s hips ground against my thighs, his mouth hovering close to mine to swallow my gasp. Spasming around his cock, I sputtered slightly as he squeezed and pushed on my ass to thrust deeper. Riding my orgasm, his pores dribbled with victory and pride and affection, and I gasped for air to fill my screaming lungs.

“… Y- you know-” Throwing my arm lazily over his side, I heaved a thick breath and gulped down the cotton in my mouth as Ryan hummed softly. “I don’t know how to tell you this… but… pretty soon, the only way this’ll work is if I give you head.”

“Don’t say that- I love your blowjobs, but I need something to break it up.” Grabbing my legs to hoist up my knee under his arm, Ryan buried his face against my sternum to groan lowly. “I’ll get some lube and fuck this part behind your knee-“

Rasping a laugh, I kicked out my leg and flexed my feet when Ryan tickled the spot, and he smirked against my skin.

“No- seriously, though. I can go a couple weeks without sex, you know, Gwen. Especially if it’s for my little man.” Trailing up my thigh and to my belly, Ryan palmed my bump, and our baby kicked weakly against him. “Plus… I’m terrified. I don’t want him to come out any earlier than he should.”

“Ever since that thing with Thomas happened… I’m not so worried, anymore. We’re going to be great parents. It won’t be so bad.” A small frown tugged at my lips at the mention, and I sighed heavily. “Have you heard from him? It’s been almost a month- I know that he texts Dad just to let him know he’s not dead, but…”

“Baby- Tommy’s having an identity crisis. He’ll be okay. It’ll take him as long as it takes him.” Worry etched between my eyebrows, and Ryan propped his cheek on his fist to sigh through flared nostrils. “It sounds nice, telling people you’re thinking of dropping everyone, not saying a word, and working on yourself- but it’s harrowing for the people you leave behind. Tom will be fine, and when he comes back, he might even tell you in person, Gwen. Also, he hasn’t gotten anything in the mail from his job, so he’s still going every day.”

“Okay- yeah… yeah, he’s fine.” Nodding to myself, I licked my lips before changing the subject ruthlessly. “Um- have you been thinking of a name for our son?”

“I was thinking Cockblocker-“ Chuckling as I smacked his chest, Ryan grunted and pressed his lips to my forehead before continuing. “No- I don’t have any idea, no. What about you?”

“I was thinking… Conner…?” Ryan wiggled down to kiss my bump, and anxiety curdled my blood. In just six weeks, this baby would be born, and I wasn’t at all ready for that. The nursery was still just the spare room, and Ryan and I kept promising to work on it only to put it off.

“I like that… Conner…” Pressing his cheek to my bump, Ryan smiled as he got a food to the chin. “He likes it, too. Conner. Conner Shaw.”

  Ryan

“Baby- what do you think of this color?” Holding up a swatch to tap the same blue as Captain American’s costume color, I smiled when Gwen didn’t turn me down outright. Her slender brows furrowed, and she snatched the swatch to stare through narrowed eyes.

“I like it. Maybe we could have some red, too… like-“ Flipping through the other swatches in her hands to point at a lighter red. “-we can paint, like, boxes. Like, dark to light blue, with red border. What do you think?”

“I like that idea. So, let’s get a gallon of each?” I couldn’t be happier that we finally had a plan, and Gwen nodded firmly. Casting a foreboding look at the wall of swatches, I took the two from her that we agreed on before she changed her mind- again. All of the blues were good, and the red would work with all of them. We were three weeks away from her giving birth, and I wanted the nursery to be done before she ended up in the hospital. Walking up to the associate, I cast her a smile as I set the little pieces of cardboard on the counter.

“We’re going to get a gallon of each of these, and one of this red-“

“And this gray.” Slapping a third swatch next to them, Gwen beamed as she tapped a light gray, and I smiled. “We can do the trim and stuff this color.”

“I’ll get that mixed up for you, sure.” Taking the swatches, the employee shuffled off to the computer that made the colors, and I leaned on my forearms on the counter. There was still so much to do; we were putting in new carpeting, buying things left and right- if Gwen saw anything she thought was remotely cute, it went into the cart.

“The crib just arrived. Are you sure the carpet guys are going to be finished by the time we get home?” Nodding firmly, I glanced back at our cart to make sure that nothing happened to it. Everything we needed to paint the room was haphazardly, and I reached to rub my jaw absently. We’d gotten Conner’s name in wooden letters, but Gwen wanted to paint those on her own.

Not that I was complaining, because I was going to be doing everything. Paint fumes were bad for her, after all. Her father had been incredibly helpful, and her mother just nagged all the time about I can’t wait until the baby’s born… He was supposed to meet us at the house, but I hadn’t even seen her physically in quite a while.

In fact, I hadn’t seen Gwen’s mother in person since before my parents came to town.

Shaking away the thought, I turned my gaze to Gwen as she looked around impatiently. Affection wormed deep into my ch
est, and my fingers twitched to grab hers and never let go. I’d been in love with her since I was 12- bah… I didn’t know what love was then. Mine was a crush that just compounded with protectiveness over what she went through with Craig.

But, now, it really was love.

“So-“ Clearing my throat roughly, I drew Gwen’s attention as I twisted to face her fully. “I’ve been meaning to ask you if you’d come to a promotional event with me next week for S&R. It’s cutting it a little close, so I wasn’t sure if you’d feel up to going…”

“Oh- um, okay. We can do that- wait, where is it? I can’t fly, Ryan.”

“That’s okay- It’s in Atlanta- an hour drive from here. Unsurprisingly, southern girls love me for some reason.” Smirking when Gwen rolled her eyes, I admired her pinked cheeks for a long moment before speaking up again. “I usually take my co-star as my date, but I thought that would be a little rude considering. She’s taking her husband this year, anyway, so that’s not really an option.”

“Sure- I’d like to go. I’d love to meet your co-stars. I’ve been so focused on my career… I kind of forgot about yours.” The guilt in her tone warmed my chest, and I closed the distance between us to hug her to me.

“It’s okay- there’s so much time between filming that even I forget it sometimes. With this movie, I’m going to end up filming from October on, and I’ll probably end up going straight to L.A. to start shooting for S&R. By then, your managers should be able to cover things so you can come with, right? Even if you work, at least we’ll be able to chill out in the nice weather.”

“Yeah- yeah, I think so. Everything been going so well. It’s so much easier this time. I should definitely be able to remotely manage things for a little while. I mean- I wouldn’t want to be gone for two months or anything crazy, but a couple of weeks shouldn’t be terrible.” Rubbing her head, I kissed Gwen’s crown as I reflected on her words. She wasn’t living on eggshells, per say, expecting something to go horribly wrong, but there was this anxiety about her because everything had gone so well.

Which wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, of course… at least, that’s what I tried to tell her.

Gwen’s restaurant and bakery had been open for a collective two months, and things were booming. She made more money than she was expecting, and she gave all of her employees bonuses. The managers were fantastic, and her daily visits had stepped down to three or four drop-bys a week. If either manager had an issue, Gwen fixed it that day.

I had no doubt that by the time October came around, she’d be okay about the idea of taking off across the country and relying on a good internet connection.

“Let’s go pay and get home. I don’t know if your dad can lift that crib box all by himself.” Hoisting the cans into the cart, I chuckled when Gwen huffed, but she only shook her head. Her father was strong and smart, sure, but he was 68 years old. “Do you want to stop and get something to eat before we go? Are you still craving Kentucky Fried Chicken?”

“Yeah… I am.” I love her so much. Even as she confessed her sin, Gwen scrunched up her face in disgust, and I chuffed a laugh. “It’s not funny- that stuff is disgusting and bad for you.”

“Baby, you’re 7 months pregnant. You’re allowed to eat a whole large side of mashed potatoes. It’s not like it’s an everyday thing. You’ve only done it once before, so I doubt you’ll clog an artery.” She moaned and groaned and complained all through checkout about how much she hated fast food, and I only nodded and hummed when needed. My mind wandered, and I glanced around the relish these moments when no one really knew who I was.

Bruce fucking Willis, man… and there was potential for a second movie, too.

Goodbye anonymity. I didn’t really want to be insanely famous, with people sitting outside my house at 3am trying to get a picture of me. That was just annoying. It came with territory, though, and I wouldn’t give up acting for anything. Even though I had to put it off for a while, I would make it a point not to quit completely.

Besides, I liked having money, and I wasn’t spending it on 4.5$ million-dollar houses or some shit that I don’t even spend any time in.

“Is that Thomas?” Pausing on the way out of Lowes, I glanced in the direction Gwen was pointing. The hardware superstore shared a parking lot with Walmart, with a few small stores and a hotdog joint in between, and surprise rocketed through my chest. Thomas sat, enjoying the beautiful weather, with a young, hot chick that I couldn’t see very well because of his big, fat head.

He’s not bald or lost any weight, though. Whatever they were talking about made Thomas laugh, and I pushed my cart down the sidewalk without thinking.

“Hey, Tommy, man-“ Thomas twisted sharply, his eyes widening, and his smile froze on his face before faded. “I’ve been really worried about you. Are you doing okay?”

“Uh- yeah- yeah, I’m okay. Actually-“ Pushing himself hastily out of the wire seat, Thomas gestured to his girlfriend, and she set her fork down to smile broadly. “This is Sarah… she’s been helping me out-“

“You can say it- I’m a stripper.” My brows shot up, and Gwen came up next to me to draw Sarah’s pretty, light brown eyes. “You must be Gwen. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Wai- woah- hold it- back up. Did I interrupt a, like, therapy session or something?” Astonishment dribbled from my tone, and Sarah leaned back in her seat to cast a look at Thomas. My best friend turned a shade of pink, and he reached to rub the back of his neck gingerly.

“Uh- yeah. We met a couple weeks ago, and Sarah’s been helping me figure things out.” Anxious eyes flickered to Gwen, and Thomas pursed his lips thinly before continuing. The discomfort radiated off him in powerful waves, and I tightened my grip on the cart. “She’s really open about what she went through- um- so, I’ve been wanting to apologize, Gwen. For everything. And, I was hoping- I was hoping that, you know, we could… talk…”

“I’d like that a lot, Tommy.” Gwen’s voice shone with her smile, and I wrapped my arm around her as Tom perked up a little. “Maybe you both can come over tomorrow night- we can have dinner together? I’m making lemon chicken.”

“Y- yeah- okay, sure. We- I… I’ll be there.”

  Gwen

Opening my front door, I tried to hide my surprise when Thomas appeared on the other side. My heart squeezed at the simple fact that he’d actually shown up, and I stepped to the side to let him and Sarah in.

“I hope you’re hungry.” Smiling when Sarah nodded furiously, I pushed down the nerves that roiled my stomach. “I’m glad you came. I wanted to apologize for hitting you…”

“No- Gwen. I deserved it.” My cheek twitched at the solemn tone, and Tommy reached out to squeeze my bicep- if such a weak touch could be called. He studiously ignored my massive baby bump, and my smile faltered as he huffed a stabilizing breath. “I deserved it. Ryan has been telling me for years- even before you came back- that I needed to change, but… I never listened. I didn’t think I had to change. I guess, I needed a literal slap to the face to really get it.”

“Oh- okay. Well… the kitchen is right this way. Ryan should be down in a minute.” Rolling my lips between my teeth when I turned away, I inhaled deep and exhaled silently through my nose. “It’s the final stretch. We painted the nursery yesterday, but it needed another coat, so…”

“What’s- uh- what’s its name going to be?” Oh, yeah… Thomas doesn’t know it’s a boy.

“It’s a boy. We’re thinking of Conner.” Honestly, Conner was the only name we were considering, and I glanced over my shoulder. “I’m due in three weeks, so Ryan’s been rushing to get everything set up.”

“He’s really gunna be a dad…” Thomas sounded like it was the first time he realized Ryan’s predicament, and he chuckled nervously. Entering the kitchen, I grabbed the simmering pan off the stovetop to set it on a stand on the table, and he pulled out a chair for Sarah. “I remember- when we were 17, he said he wanted to be a father. It was right after we learned that he’d been pi
cked to join the actor program thing, and he was freaking out.”

“You remembered!” Glancing up as Ryan pulled Thomas under his arm, I couldn’t help but giggle when my little brother blushed furiously. “You really do listen to me! You really do love me!”

“Get off me, idiot-“ They shoved at each other for a moment, and my smile widened when Thomas cleared his throat roughly. “I should’ve listened to the parts that- you know… counted…”

“Who cares about that, Tommy? This is a new day, my guy- you showed up. That’s all that matters.” Clapping him on the shoulder, Ryan grinned broadly, and he sent a small nod to Sarah before shuffled around me to sit down. “So, are you two dating, or are you just an impromptu therapist?”

“A little of both, I guess. We go on dates to talk about stuff. Like I said- we met at my job, and either way, you gotta pay somehow.” She shrugged a little half-heartedly, and Thomas sat down across from me with a tense set of his shoulders. “I like to think I’m better than a therapist, at least.”

“What do you talk about, if you don’t mind my asking?” My question earned me a long look, and the hairs on my face stood up. Reaching to grab a pair of tongs, I served everyone chicken and asparagus before seating myself again. Ryan rubbed my belly under the table, and the ting and scrape of metal against ceramic filled the kitchen.

“I’m not trying to drag the mood, but I grew up with an abusive step-dad. I’ve had abusive boyfriends and stuff. I don’t want to make you feel any type of way, Gwen- any abuse is still abuse. I just told Tommy about my experiences. I’ve been stabbed- shot at- assaulted- held hostage- and I like talking about it. When you say ‘I’ve been assaulted’, it’s really broad… people don’t believe you because there’s not really anything to see. So, I make a picture for them… a really detailed picture.” My heart sunk at how casually Sarah spoke, and she shot me an encouraging smile as a shiver lodged between my shoulder blades. “Tom is really sweet, but he’s super oblivious-“
