My Favorite Distraction (Distraction #1)

by Stephanie Jean

Jason cleared the table, picking up everything and taking it to the kitchen. Sofia jumped up to help.

When Jason was out of hearing range, I asked Dave, “So what was she like, Jason’s high school girlfriend?”

He smiled a knowing smile. “Jacy?”

“Shit, she had a J name.” I felt my heart ache.

“Jacy was smart and pretty, but I knew she wasn’t for him. She was controlling, the oldest girl of four siblings. She was always mothering someone. She hated that Jason played basketball, wanted to spend every moment with him.”

“Well that’s kind of adorable. She really loved him.” I was suddenly feeling nauseated.

“No, it was hard to watch as a friend. She had a hold on him. She was pretty, but I didn’t get it.”

My back was to Jason, so I didn’t see him walk in as I kept talking. “I bet it’s hard for him not being the Dom, you know?” I looked up and saw Jason’s eyes fall on me. His smile widened, and mine dropped.

“What do you mean I am not the Dom?”

I shrugged and looked at Dave, my face growing red. “Dom is short for ‘Dominant,’ the one in control, in charge.” I knew I was babbling, so I stopped. “I was stating that it would be hard for you to not be how you are…you know, dominant.”

His eye hazed over, I wasn’t sure if in anger or lust. He helped me out of my chair.

  “Princess, I am your Dom.”

My heart filled with warmth, and I got butterflies. “I know,” was all I could say. My mouth was suddenly dry.

Dave spoke up when I couldn’t find my words. “We were talking about your first love.”

Jason’s head jerked from Dave to me.

“We were talking about your…J.” My voice ended in a whisper when I saw his eyes land on mine. He just looked at me blankly, and his hands dropped. “I am so sorry.” I wasn’t sure what else to say.

“Dave never liked her. He always thought she belittled me in front of people. I don’t remember it like that. She cared for me and wanted to spend her life with me.”

“Of course she did. You were her first love too. I am not sure I understood any of the love thing until recently.”

His eyes shot to mine, and I stopped talking. I grabbed his hand and placed a fortune cookie in it. I took one for myself. He opened his cookie and read his fortune before handing it to me. It read, “You will obtain your goal if you maintain your course.”

I looked at him. “What the hell does that mean?”

He looked at me but didn’t smile. I opened mine: “You have a surprise in your near future.” I handed it to him. He took it, read it, and raised an eyebrow. Then he turned toward Dave.

“Dave, will you help me with the rest of the furniture and the stereo system?”

Dave got up, and they left. I went into the kitchen. Sofia helped me with cleaning the kitchen and emptying the dishwasher. We talked about the college she went to for a while.

“Jason said you were a dancer.” Sofia was drinking her beer and leaning against the counter.

“Yes, I did ballet mainly through high school. I tried other dancing, but ballet was the easiest for me.”

“I danced through college, mainly hip-hop and contemporary stuff.”

“Do you still dance?” I looked at her cute little body, thinking it was definitely possible.

  “No, but I love it.”

The men continued filling the house with furnishings. Sofia and I had the best seat in the house. I smiled at her occasionally, as the sweaty men grunted and lifted their shirt to wipe drops of sweat from their eyes. I thought I might take Jason up on his offer to watch him play basketball, if it was anything like this. We moved to the family room when we heard the sound of music over the speakers. Dave hooked up the sound system, and now he was fiddling with all the buttons making sure the television was connected.

I clapped my hands together rubbing them up and down. “So is it set, the music? Sofia and I want to dance.”

Dave nodded, waving me over to show me how to turn the stations and the cord to hook it up an iPod, and then he disappeared outside with Jason. They still had the patio furniture and a barbecue to set up.

Sofia pulled out her iPhone and handed it to me, when the guys vanished. I took it and browsed her song selection.

“You have a lot of great songs. Do you have a favorite?”

“I could dance to any of them.”

I slipped my sweater off feeling cooler in my camisole and skirt. I knew Jason wouldn’t want me walking around wearing this without a bra in front of his friend, but he was busy, and I could dance one song before he saw me. I continued to search her songs, and I was in a hurry to choose before the guys finished, so I saw a song that I hadn’t heard in a long time. I played it.

“OK, I’ll pick the first one.” It was Miley Cyrus, “Party in the USA.” This was such a girl song.

Sofia smiled big when the music began to play. We both started singing. She swayed her hips to the beat and I mimicked. Her hands went up when the song told her to and I copied that too. As the song winded down she turned me around. I felt her hands on my hips as she guided my every movement. Her body melted into my backside as she directed my motion. I was a dancer for years and her body against my body felt natural. She never came on to me, never gave me reason to think this was anything other than a dance between girls. I closed my eyes and let my body mold into hers, focusing on finding the rhythm. It was relaxing to just to let go, therapeutic.

The song changed to Bruno Mars’ “Locked Out of Heaven.” I felt like we found a good pace together. Sofia slipped her fingers through mine and began moving them in sync with hers. I felt Jason’s intense stare and I opened my eyes and peered over my shoulder at the doorway. I flashed a sexy smile at the two gloriously sweaty men and then wiggle my fingers in a little wave. Sofia giggled in my ear, and it tickled, made me laugh. It had been so long since I had this much fun with another girl. Sofia and I were cut from the same dancing cloth. I could dance with her for hours. Jason came over to where I was dancing and wrapped one arm around my waist and in one swift motion pulled me into his arms. He held me close as I regained my balance. I slid my arms up the wet, slick muscle of his arms and shoulders. He buried his face in the crook of my neck, his favorite comfort spot. Then he slid his mouth along the side of my head and began singing in my ear. I had never realized what the song was about, until, he sang the words. He kissed my neck and ran his tongue over my shoulder and lightly bit me above my collarbone. I moaned in his ear and used my new hip moves. He was a great dancer with moves of his own.

When the song finished, Jason grabbed my hand yanking me toward the stairs. “Dave, we’ll be back. I have to scratch an itch.”

His reuse of my comment had me laughing. I heard his chuckle too.

“You don’t have to leave.” Jason yelled over my shoulder. “Katarina picked out some movies we could watch. If you have an itch, there’s a room downstairs, and the upstairs room has a bed.”

I was so embarrassed I planted my feet at the bottom of the stairs and attempted to pull my hand free. “Jason, we can wait until your friends leave. I think this is rude.”

He opened his large hand, releasing his tight hold on me and I stumbled back. He bent down causally and I thought he was going to take off his boots, instead, he threw me over his shoulder. “No, I am not waiting another moment. You’re going to get what you’ve had coming to you all day.” A sinister chuckle radiated his shoulders and it gave me shivers. “You have no idea the effect you have on me. Fuck, princess, you dancing with a girl? You might as well be naked with her touching and grinding on you. And then you start giggling? Oh, Katarina, that’s another wet dream.”

We were upstairs, door shut and locked, before I knew he was serious. Part of me thought he was teasing. He took off my boots slowly. Then with the same slow speed he moved up my body and took off my camisole. My boobs were already sensitive, my nipples hard pebbles. He took off his shirt and pu
lled down his pants and boxers. He took his time, purposely making me crazy.

“So are we going to do this?” I was growing frustrated, and I felt like he was playing with me. He wanted me to be needy for him.

He only laughed, grabbed a condom, and slipped it on.

“Do you want me?” He gave me a smug smile as he bent over me, patiently awaiting an answer.

  “Yes, I want you.”

“How bad do you want me?”

I gritted my teeth, not wanting to play his game. I closed my legs and crossed my arms over my breasts. He laughed and again flashed a knowing smile at me.

“I changed my mind. I don’t want it. In fact, I was only pretending earlier.”

He was spreading my legs like I wasn’t using all of my force to keep them closed. He lifted my skirt, pulled my arms from their position across my chest, and stretched them above my head with a stern look. He ran a rough hand over my breast and nipples. My eyes fluttered closed at the contact. It felt so good. His touch made me crazy with desire. He grabbed my leg and put it over his shoulder, then did the same with the other.

There was a knock on the door, then what sounded like Dave’s voice. “Ah, Jason, someone’s at the front door for you.”

Jason yelled back quickly, almost irritated. “Give me twenty minutes.” Then he returned his attention back to me like he was still on a Sunday drive, just taking his sweet time.

“You drive me crazy. The skirt is so sexy, the boots…” He ran his fingers down my calf and under my knee. “And these.” He traced his fingers lightly over my nipples and cupped my breast. “I was never into small boobs before.” I moved to cover them, but he gave me a look that said I better not. “Let me finish. I find them perfect. They fit in my hand. The nipples roll in my fingers like small pieces of candy.” He was playing with both nipples, rolling and pinching them, and I let a moan slip. “I don’t think I can do big boobs again.” He smiled and it warmed me, his hand making trails down my stomach. “But my favorite part is this.” He put his hand on my vagina and cupped it. “It fits in my hand too.” His eyes twinkled very playfully.

“You know it’s not my fault your hands are freakishly big.” My voice was a whisper.

Jason laughed, then stuck two fingers in me, twisting them in and out, his piercing eyes never leaving mine. Then slowly he slid his wet thumb over my very sensitive nub creating a torturous rhythm. I closed my eyes lost in his touch. My muscles squeezed down on his fingers inside me, and almost immediately my orgasm took over.

“Fuck!” I yelled, and Jason’s smile was the sexiest one I had ever seen. “Wow…that was great for me. I hope you enjoyed it.” It was my chance to use his words.

He laughed a huge throw-your-head-back laugh, and it made me smile. He positioned his penis outside my sex and slid in slowly, locking his eyes with mine.

He took my hand and placed it between us. “Feel me slide in you.”

I felt his thick penis with my fingers. It was hot, wet, and slick and then it glided inside me. I broke my eye contact and glanced down at our joined bodies and it was the most seductive thing I had ever seen. I clenched my muscles around him, my instinctual response to the visual sight of him staking his claim.

I lifted my eyes to his in wonder, my heart pumping so hard I could hear it over his breathing. “I love you.” The feeling was so strong and his actions so intimate I wanted him to know the hold he had on me. He blinked like those words woke him from his dream.

He leaned over placing his weight on me, imprisoning me, with his arms. I felt like a pretzel. My ankles rested on his shoulders, and he pounded into me, his own primal needs taking over. His breathing in my ear was seductive. I closed my eyes and focused on the contact, the pain, his smell, and his sound. I heard his grunting increase, my breathing matching his. He pulled out right before I had another release, and my eyes shot wide open. He shifted down, and I watched as his mouth covered my sex and his tongue teasing my clit.

  “Strawberries, just like fucking strawberries.”

I felt like I was on a cloud, floating. His drug was in my system and I never wanted it to leave. It was a surreal feeling, driving me to the edge of the cliff, and I immediately grabbed his head, pulling his hair, forcing him to finish. He stopped, retreated like he knew. Asshole.

“Not yet, we’re going to come together.”

Jason was outside my entrance again, beginning his slow entry into me. It was so slow I felt my muscles stretch one by one to accommodate him. His hunger began to grow, and I couldn’t hold on any longer. I saw his eyes roll back in his head and heard his final grunt, and I climaxed hard, my vaginal muscles spasming.

  “Fuck!” he yelled really loudly.

I gave Jason a dreamy smile as he disentangled himself from my body. He pulled out of me and strutted to the bathroom. Yep, strutted, like he was the most confident, cocky creature on earth. I was unable to get out of bed. I smoothed my skirt down with my hands trying to cover as much of my exposed body as possible. Jason appeared at the end of the bed.

  “Tired?” Smug ass.

“No, just catching my breath.” I licked my lips biting the bottom one. He was so adorable. “You are my favorite person, you know.”

“I am honored.” He leaned over and kissed me tenderly on the mouth. I tasted myself, it was incredibly sexy and immediately I wanted him again. “I am going to see who’s here. Take your time.” He disappeared out the door.

My wobbly legs took me to the bathroom to freshen up. I brushed my hair and teeth and got dressed. I entered the room noticing the change the furniture created. It made the room look more inviting. I wanted to nestle into the corner of the couch and fall asleep. All eyes were on me when I padded barefoot into the room. Jason was on the couch with a small woman by his side. She had long hair like mine, but hers a light brown. Her eyes were big and brown. Like doe eyes, they took up her whole face. She was stunning. Jason got up when I walked in the room, and he took my hand. Dave and Sofia were still there, but remained quiet.

“This is Jenny. She’s an old friend. Her sister’s horse is having a baby, and she wants me to go and check, make sure everything’s OK.”

My eyes fought to mask all my insecure emotions, as I looked up at him, and then back over at her. I attempted to figure out what kind of old friend she was. “You should go,” I encouraged, reminding myself I was strong and independent. “It sounds like your veterinary skills are needed. I’ll be here when you get back.”

I glanced back as Jenny jumped up from the couch with a big grin. I found myself in a trance studying her. She had dimples when she smiled. Oh yeah, he slept with her. I am pretty sure I would sleep with her, she was that cute. Jason leaned in to kiss me, but the look on the other girl’s face changed. Her smile dropped and her large eyes looked shockingly sad. She loved him and the look on her face was pure heartbreak, so I turned my head, and he kissed my cheek. He looked confused and I was amazed he couldn’t see what I saw. Mister “I can read women.”

“You guys can stay, and watch a movie if you want.” I was looking at Dave and Sofia, but their expressions resembled deer caught in headlights.

Jason slipped his fingers through mine and we walked to the front door. His voice was low. “Are you sure? I can stay and go in the morning. If I go, I want you to be here when I come home.”

I listened to him and had the worst feeling when I watched him leave with that beautiful girl.

  Chapter 20

  Risky Game

Dave put Spider-Man in, and I sat on the smaller of the two couches, and the two of them sat on the larger one all snuggled together. I felt like a third wheel. I was thankful they decided to stay, though, I was starting to feel emotional, and it was nice not to be completely alone. I curled up on the couch and fell asleep before the opening credits left the large television.

When I woke up, there was a blanket on me, and the room was dark. I saw a small light on toward the kitchen, and I stumbled around looking for my phone. I
remembered that I left it in my car, so I went out to the garage to retrieve it. The time was two fifteen, and the only text was from Heather. I went back in the house and went upstairs to Jason’s bedroom. He wasn’t there. I spent the next forty minutes in the shower and blow drying my hair. Then I settled on the couch and tried to relax enough to fall back to sleep.

I awoke again when I was lifted off the couch and carried upstairs. I opened my eyes and saw Jason’s jaw as he made his way in the dark. He laid me gently on the bed and went straight for the shower. I sat up and looked at the clock. It was four thirty. He came out moments later and crawled into bed. He made no move to touch me.

“Did you deliver a baby horse tonight?”

He rolled over to look at me. “No, just did a lot of monitoring, making sure she was healthy.”

  I cleared my throat, “She?”

“The horse. Jenny is going to vet school, and she asked a lot of questions.”

It was quiet for a while, and I heard him start his deep breathing. I rolled over too frustrated and annoyed to relax. Every time I tried to close my eyes I saw dimples, cute perfectly spaced dimples. I decided to get some air. I dressed quickly and found Bo. We went for a walk, a long one. I needed a plan. The longer I stayed the harder it would be to leave. It was obvious my distraction was no longer just that. I had shielded myself from everyone in my life including Heather. The thought of walking away from Jason made me uneasy. I relied on him too much already. That wasn’t who I was; I was a loner, a survivor. I could disappear anywhere and just live in my bubble, free. I needed to enjoy Jason, as the distraction he was and move on. No more talk of love.

I spent the rest of the early morning sitting next to Bo on the floor watching Spider-Man, awake this time. When it was over I got up and began making breakfast.

Jason made his way downstairs. He was quiet, and even though he had a brand-new table, he sat and studied me from his spot at the counter. I put his plate in front of him, and he eyed me. I didn’t acknowledge his ruthless staring. I took my time, grabbed a yogurt from the fridge and went to sit next to him.
